The 9 Best Korean Fried Chicken Spots In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Pelicana is one of the most popular chicken chains in Seoul, so it comes with a big reputation—and the LA locations (mostly) live up to it. Their original double-fried chicken is tasty with a nice crunch, but we prefer to go full sauce mode. The one glazed in their signature spicy-sweet sauce is sticky enough that you should put your phone away before picking up a drumstick—it’s not making it out clean otherwise. Even the breast pieces drip with juice. On the non-chicken side, end with an order of their dessert balls, a.k.a. the turducken of sweets. They're stuffed with molten chocolate, then wrapped in a layer of warm mochi and coated in cookie crumbs." - cathy park, brant cox, sylvio martins, garrett snyder

I've been to the one in NYC and enjoyed the food, so naturally, I decided to try the one in Edgewater (since it's in my neighborhood). Despite how busy the server was (mostly take out), he was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. This place is BYOB so we brought in couple drinks, which the server was able to accommodate us with the appropriate glasses for soju and wine. We started off with the melted cheese fries (SO GOOD!), followed by soy garlic boneless chicken and crispy fried wings. They both fried to perfection and tasted amazing. We also decided to order the spicy BBQ and garlic & scallion sauce, which added bonus flavors to our wings. Overall, if you're looking for a quick place to munch on that's BYOB, i recommend this place!

Tasty, fresh food as always! Each time I've eaten here I have enjoyed the food so much I crave it for days afterward. The breading on the chicken is so crispy and the sauces they offer are all so tasty, particularly the soy garlic. I have to recommend the plain, crispy chicken though since it's my favorite. The lady at the counter was also so kind and very friendly; it was such a pleasure dealing with someone so sweet!

I don't normally write food reviews (in fact this is my first). However, this place is a gem! This pelicana location is way different from others and the food here is so damn fresh! The chicken is reallllly crispy and the fries and rice cake are addicting. HIGHLY recommend coming here!

My friends and I ordered from this place and unfortunately, this place really awful and we would never order from this place again. We called and asked for a replacement but they were rude and said no. Chicken was really salty and soggy and we had to spit them out. The only member who is enjoying it is my dog. There are so many other better Korean chicken places such as Yam Yam chicken. It is definitely not worth $26 for this.

Used to be good, but apparently they changed ownership recently (one of the guys on the phone told me this). Their fried chicken isn't nearly as crispy as it was before, and their onion rings are in a completely different style (they look, taste, and feel like frozen onion rings you can buy at the store). Overall not worth the prices that they charge if this is how it's going to be moving forwards

Delicious chicken as always. We always enjoyed the Palisade Park and the NYC K-Town locations. When we moved to North Bergen we were excited to see that there was one that opened in edgewater (only 5 mins away)! Open doors provided a nice summer evening breeze and plenty of air circulation. All staff had masks on and place was sanitized and clean. Would definitely come back.

Interior is very unique with an antique vibe! very warming environment to sip on some byob beer and the employees and the employer were very welcoming and nice to the customers. Ordered crispy chicken which were very cripsy and the portions are huge so had to take some home for late night snack:) Will def come by again!

Omg!! The best food ever, love it!! I highly recommend to visit the place. It's so clean and the most important the service, the service is awesome they treat people well and are always at the disposition. If something goes wrong they always fix it. The decoration of the place is awesome I love it! The food I can't explain it, it's awesome I eat and I order. Thanks for such nice business and food!
