I just had lunch from their new sandwich shop. I had one of their bowls which was fabulous. The portions are big and should Have been enough for two meals but I couldn’t stop eating it, it was that good. I recommend it immensely. My husband had the Italian sandwich and raved about that too! Portions of meat on the sandwich were great. We will definitely be back!!!

Clean, well-stocked, and welcoming. This place is a true gem. The staff knows their cuts and always offers great cooking advice. Quality is top-notch, with everything from prime steaks to specialty sausages, plus some ready-to-cook options. Prices are fair for the freshness and service you get. Easily a go-to spot for anyone who loves good meat.

Best caterer I have ever worked with. Party perfect in the pouring rain! First and most important they accommodated allergies and food intolerance. Food was amazing and endless. Good amount of leftovers without being wasteful. Handled set up themselves, cooked food to accommodate personal preference. Desert and cakes were also setup and served. On time, professional, fun to work with. My guest couldn't have been happier. Definitely calling them again for our next event.

Great fresh cut meat and seafood. A bit pricey but worth it for certain things.

Very good quality...you get what you pay for concerning quality....a friend referred the place and we get meats from there occasionally only because my pocket doesnt allow me to go every week..or I definitely would. For the steaks and pork chops. .sausages..yummy!!!!

We had a BBQ catering party yesterday provided by the amazing people from Pellegrini’S . We really loved everything from the first call to Liz, to the last moment when we said goodbye to Steve and Evelyn! Communication was easy and clear, fair price, delicious food, tremendous help from Evelyn. We greatly appreciate them for providing such a high-class service. HUGE THANKS!!!

We had an awesome catering experience with Pellegrini! Liz guided me in choosing the perfect menu for our event and she was so helpful! The prices were very reasonable, the order was delivered right on time, the person who did setup of the trays was professional, friendly and efficient and ( most importantly) the food was excellent. We ordered lunch for 70 people (veg dumplings, steak skewers, pulled pork, teriyaki mango chicken, potatoes with green beans, rice pilaf) and everyone raved about the food. I highly recommend using them for an event! I don’t write a lot of reviews but this was such a great experience I just had to share!

The absolute BEST and freshest meat & seafood in the area! The staff here go beyond and above to ensure each customer is greeted and treated like family. We have used the catering services and also the bbq service! Each time, all of our guests were blown away by the mouth-watering foods and left full! Thank you to the staff here for making all of our special days seemless and delicious!

Ordered the Valentines Day special. The filet was a good size and delicious. The lobster tail meat was tender and delicious. A nice touch with the chocolate covered strawberries as well. Thanks for a great dinner making our Vslentines Day wonderful

First time going here after hearing so much about the place...Some servers use gloves, some don't, a lot of the items aren't priced till you get rung up, & then it's to late.. my items are being made and priced but aren't put in front of me but they are putting them on the back counter till the order is done, they don't let you examine the order till your moved to the registers...Ham & cheese on a roll was 12.95, my Bologna and American on a hero was also 12.95, explain that to me.. I don't like the way they do business & after 40 years in the food service industry I think I know my stuff!! I won't be back,

My family has used Pelegrini Prime Meats for so many barbecues, On each and every occasion we use the services of Mary and Patrick. They are a good combo because they always come early, set up quickly, cook a delicious variety of foods, give personal attention to the dietary needs of the guests, and do an outstanding cleanup job. They even walked around to each table to find out if any wanted extra foods. Food is great and the price is right. When we call Pellegrini Prime we always ask for Mary and Patrick.. Thank you both.

Unfortunately, I have nothing good to report regarding my order of items for our Thanksgiving meal. Upon arrival to pick up my order I was mistakenly given a package of "sausage meat" instead of "sausage stuffing" and ended up waiting a half hour until they could find some stuffing or make it for me. To make matters worse, when I arrived home, I realized the pie I ordered was missing. Luckily, I did not pay for it otherwise it would not have been a good choice to return there again. I bought a pie elsewhere. Sorry to say, I will never order from them again. It was very frustrating and an upsetting way to start the holiday season.

Not sure why anyone would here. Hand down the worst!!! Slow/poor service, meat counter is a mess w/ an untrained staff. Over priced product, double the nation average. Highway robbery. No thank you!!!!!!

I've only been a handful of times and I'm questioning myself why so little. This place is awesome. First, the quality of their meat is too notch. We've gotten items for a bbq in the summer and just recently prime rib for Christmas. The meat is the star of the show and it's because they provide a quality product. The environment inside is super friendly where you feel like family. Everyone is in a good mood and they provide you with recommendations. They do call ahead service which I think is a good idea. I can't wait to be back soon. This time not for a fancy dinner only but just a weekday meal.

We used Pellegrini to cater for us for the second time!! After a great experience with them three years ago for our twins second birthday, we used them yesterday for their fifth birthday!! The food was even better than I had remembered!!! The two servers and grill chef we had were also excellent, they literally took care of everything once they got there and I was able to truly enjoy the party!!! There was soooo much food and everything was delicious!!! I would 100% recommend Pellegrini barbecue/ catering!!!

Grilled shrimp are delicious and dead right every time. I have never been disappointed when shopping here. Always told quality at a fair price.

My mother has been a customer here for many years, especially placing Holiday fish orders. This past Christmas my mother who is 78 years old, placed an order which included 2 1/2 dozen cherrystone clams. She requested for the clams to be opened for her, but was told that the store does not open clams anymore, because it takes too much time. How stupid! You just lost a customer....

Had a catered backyard bbq this past Saturday from pellegrini and it was amazing. From the booking of the bbq to the service and the food was top notch. We opted for a grill person and waitress and they were friendly, on time and hardworking. The quality of the food is what set it off for my guests. They loved it all from the hamburgers and hot dogs to the grilled shrimp, chicken skewers and even filet mignon which were so tender. Everything was great. Salads they brought were fresh and the fruit platter and chocolate covered strawberries were amazing. Thanks pellegrinis!!!!

We had Pellegrini cater a labor day weekend party to celebrate my wifes cancer free moment. Angela our server and Mike who did the BBQing did a fantastic job. Everybody loved the apps and service we had soup to nuts and would surely highly recommend to anyone. We set everything up with Cristina who was an absolute professional in setting and arranging the entire affair.

Went here for the first time after years of passing by this place and I'm sad to say the experience was very disappointing. The selection itself has a variety, but it's on the pricier end. We ended up getting a big purchase of burgers, ribeyes, salmon, and other misc items. I went ahead and paid first for some other goods and the 2 ladies at the registers were outright rude and unfriendly. They were one old lady and one middle aged bigger lady. I asked about the loyalty program (which is a total ripoff btw...spend over $75 each time for ~10 times and then you get rewarded with a mere $20 off?!) and they mumbled and barely even looked at me or even tried to answer me. The sign said to ask about it. So I did. And all they said was "spend $75" and ended the conversation while ringing my items up. Okay? I thought there may have been something to fill out hence why I asked. I wasn't aware that it was just a ridiculous punch card. After they rang me up, they were so friendly with the other patrons (who seemed to be local and frequent Caucasian customers - I hate to bring up the race card, but I definitely felt unwelcome). When we gave them the rest of the purchase to ring up with the other meat and poultry items we were getting, they were once again rude and didn't even bother to try to answer or speak audibly when I asked about combining the amounts of my previous purchase with this one (which didn't matter because it was well over $75 regardless). The other worker we interacted with who helped us with the meat selection was nice and friendly. Wish I could say the same for the other people. Hard pass....only go here if you want to get mediocre overpriced meat and dry cooked salmon with a side of racist attitude.

I wish I could give this place is zero stars. Extremely overpriced and the workers are incredibly rude and unhelpful. The extended wait times are only because of the lack of effort on the employees. After waiting over an hour to pick up an order that was order a week ago, I was told that they did not have our order. Not the first time this is happened to us at this place. I would not only tell my friends to never go here but they lost a customer for life

We used this Italian demo to caters surprise going away party for very close friend. We ordered the the BBQ package, veggie platter, hired the grill guy and waitress to help serve and clefan up . I was AMAZED. The waitress was friendly and many thought she was part of the family. There were no big items to put away such as food and huge personalized cake. The quality of the hamburgers, chicken and Frank's were top knotch! The condiments were displayed on a huge plate. My guests were thrilled and so was I . For $730 I fed 30 adults with tons of food left over . I will be definitely using their services again .

Been sporadically shopping here over a number of years. This visit: Eggplant parmigiana was better than good. Striped bass filet excellent and fresh. Paying at cashier: awkward and distracted to say the least.

Pellegrini Meats did an outstanding job today for our welcome back faculty BBQ. The food was delicious everyone loved it!! It was ready on time it was the easiest event we have ever had!! The set-up, clean- up was a breeze. I highly recommend them

The BEST place to get your meat (and vegetables)-- the kind of steaks that are so good that you really don't have to do much to them. Everyone behind the counter is always so incredibly friendly and helpful. So happy we found Pellegrini's!

Prime meats indeed! For all you carnivores, who care about the quality of the meat you ingest, this is the Mecca! Ever since I started coming here about 12 years ago, I have always received the best of service and the highest quality of meats. All of their beef is dry aged, and certified Prime. Everything from ground beef to bone in ribeye. It is very easy to drop a hundred or even more in here, only because everything is so appetizing and appealing. Not sure what you want? Just as Al or any of the other butchers in the place. They love talking about meat about as much as a Mets fan loves to complain.

I was so happy to stumble upon this gem....thanks Yelp!! I have lived in Bellerose the majority of my life and never realized Pellegrini was there. I needed some filet mignons for a special dinner, every where I went they were over priced small cuts or just didn't look good at all. So I hopped on Yelp and found Pellegrini. They were so nice and genuinely nice! Staff was helpful and got me on my way quickly. Definitely will be back!

We had them this past week for a backyard bbq, the food was amazing and the service was great. They grilled chic, steak, burgers, sausage, hot dogs and had salads and desserts as well. The griller and waitress (nick and Angela) were great, paced the food and cleaned up before leaving. I definitely recommend them for any party

I reserved tomahawk steaks the week prior to Father's Day, I went to pick them up they were cutting them for me then all of a sudden the owner came out and said they're not for me and he had nothing else. The owner was very rude and completely unapologetic.

The store definitely has nice quality and delicious food and the prices are what you would expect at any nice butcher. The problem is the attitude of the workers. For the second time, the staff could not have been more "put out" attitude like. There never seems to be anyone waiting behind the counter to the left where one orders. After waiting for ages, someone barks from the raw meat right, "Is anyone helping you, ma'am?" THAT is communication issue #1. Communication issue #2 happens when, after the person who waited on you hands you a little calculator receipt and tells you to pay, you turn your back on them to do so. After paying, you wait there for ages while the person who waited on you disappears in the back with all the rest of the staff and you are standing there without the items you just purchased and your meter is running. Eventually, you ask the only person around, who is the cashier, in a nice way, please explain WTF is happening right now. She then barks to the person who waited on you who then barks at you that "Your stuff is right THERE!!!!" Right there is the window sill, also containing newspapers and obstructed from view by the larger counter. The large counter also being the usual place where items are places for a customer to collect, just sayin.

We just had Pellegrini cater our BBQ celebration. The Grill Chef and wait staff were A+++. They ensured my guests were fed and the food was continuous. Thank you for making the day flow easily! Highly recommended. They know customer satisfaction.

Their salads are the best! Always fresh! Very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful! Try their cranberry and walnut salad it's incredible!

I've only become a steady customer here since Covid. I loved the convenient curbside pickup. The meat is really great quality. Recently I have continued calling in my order and going in to pick it up rather than waiting on line and waiting for them to pack it all. However, I have run into several problems with this. I have not always gotten the sale price when something is on special and I don't realize it until later when I review the receipt (actually this has happened in the store as well... know the prices and check what they are writing down.) Last week I called in an order for 4 lbs. of chuck chop and 4 lbs. of chicken cutlets, all packed in 2 lb packages. I automatically frozen half of it only to realize later that the packages were mislabeled as chicken when they were actually chuck chop. So I got 8 lbs of chopped meat and no chicken that I had paid for. Very frustrating!! So I actually give the product 5 stars and the service 3.

Average meats and prepared foods. Interesting take on special prices advertised in store must request sale price or will pay higher. This is the only shop I've ever seen operate that way

This place is good. It reminds me of a place I used to go to in Valley Stream years ago. Great service. They are friendly, in a genuine way. Grass fed beef is exceptional. Cold cuts are excellent.

Had them cater a BBQ yesterday and it was absolutely awesome! Everyone raved about the food. Also Mike came as a griller and did a fantastic job!!! Would highly recommend.

Counter staff was friendly and helpful. Quality of meat was top notch. However, I had a horrible experience with the "cashier." It being my first visit, I did not realize that the cashier does not actually tally your order (she just takes the cash). She proceeded to berate me in front of my children and literally threw a chunk of cheese at me and told me to get it weighed. Will not be going back.

Went to a party catered by Pellegrini this past Saturday. I am on day 2 of FOOD POISONING. 20 other attendees have been infected. Crazy how a "5 star" establishment let this happen. Be aware of your food before eating it when catered by this place.

This store is great...the employees are helpful and courteous. The meats are fresh and delicious. Service is quick and they remember you!
