Came into this establishment and I have to say everything about it was delightful!! From the moment when we walked in we were greeted by wonderful ladies!! Alyssa took my order and she was super nice. She answered all of our questions with no problem. After we sat down, she even came to check if we needed any refills on our coffees and sodas. Great customer service!! I will be telling all my coworkers and family to support this small business.

I came in & was greeted by Alyssa's smiling face & positive attitude. She helped me choose as I was undecided. I got The Pena's Donut Sandwich & the Texas Twist. Both were extremely delicious. This place is cute & charming. I'm one that enjoys spending @ a place that not only has yummy food but excellent customer service & hands down ALYSSA made my day!!! I'll be back for sure

Pena’s TX Cafe has truly become a family spot for us. The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and treats us like regulars no matter who we bring — even our friends and family from out of town love it here. I sometimes bring my schoolwork and study at the cafe, and the staff will check in, wish me luck, and genuinely cheer me on. It’s little things like that that make Pena’s so special. When you come here, it’s not just about the delicious food — it’s about the people and the outstanding customer service. Thank you, Alexandra, for your amazing service and kindness!

This is an absolute gem, easily earning 5 stars for its amazing food, outstanding service, and welcoming atmosphere. The kolaches here are just wonderful. I also really like the chorizo & egg and brisket varieties. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service—and Alyssa is a star. She’s not just helpful and efficient, but incredibly warm, upbeat, and genuinely caring, making me feel right at home. Her energy and kindness are a huge part of what makes Peña’s such a feel-good spot. I always like stopping by at Peña’s because it is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to—especially when Alyssa’s there to greet you with a smile.

This donut shop has the most outstanding employees and amazing donuts!! but I will say that one employee stood out to me , Alyssa was the sweetest and most generous one in there. The food and costumer service was over all really good! Definitely coming back soon.😋

A young lady named Alyssa was so patient with my husband and I today. She took the time to explain to me how eggs can be cooked differently and even got pictures from her phone to show us visual representation. Things like that shows how much a person cares for their customers. You can definitely say we will be back.

The very first time I visited Peña’s..I was immediately greeted by Becky! Her smile and energy is contagious!! 😁 She made my experience fun…her customer service is top tier!! ❤️ I definitely recommend if you’re looking for great atmosphere and great food!!

Rebecca has been so helpful on my visits to Peña’s. She’s always suggesting plates or coffees when I’m not sure what it is I would like to order. She’s always got a smile on her face too! I recommend Peña’s as a great place to have brunch.

I love continue to love this place throughout the years. The staff and owner Aldo are truly so kind and accommodating for all our needs. Rebecca the floor manager is also so sweet with our kiddos and always help us for anything we need or special orders. The food is always on point and so delicious. The ultimate breakfast sandwich is so yummy but my favorite is the Keto breakfast plate, the barbacoa is always moist and delicious and eggs always cooked correctly. The restaurant itself is always clean, and decorated for the holidays and it's so cute. Needless I'll be back probably later this week keep up the good work Pena's!

It might be a Sunday thing, but basically everything felt day-old. Cronut definitely was stale, kolaches seemed like they've been in a warming drawer since yesterday. Tortillas for tacos seemed microwaved. Dry, shriveled potatoes in taco. Sadly, worst breakfast in a long time :-(

Tres leches DONUTS!!! They recently started serving TRES LECHES DONUTS!!! The situation I grabbed a late breakfast at Pena's on Saturday after being super indecisive about what I wanted to eat. Should i eat healthy? indulgently? cheap? splurge? I could not decide. I had planned on trying out a new place but I ultimately decided I didnt want to spend too much money and ended up at Peña's. My Order I ordered a breakfast taco and a Boston crème donut when I looked up and noticed a pic of their tres leches donut in their drive thru window. I swear heavenly lights flashed around the picture. I had to have one immediately! Without having to swipe my card again, the drive thru attendant added the tres leches donut to my tab. She also proudly advised me that her mom came up with the tres leches donut and that it was REALLY good. All praise be to her momma! Anyway, after a couple minutes she handed me a small to go box that contained the donut. It looked even more amazing than the photo and again I swear heavenly lights shined from the box again and this time I heard angels singing. It was a work of art that ended up being equally delicious! The Taste - Tres Leches Donut You know the Mrs Baird's white powdered sugar donuts you'd eat back in the day and get all the powdered sugar all over yourself and everywhere? The donut itself reminded me of a homemade slightly softer bigger version of one of those donuts. It sat atop the most satisfying puddle of sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk and cream or milk, and the top of the donut was intricately decorated with whipped cream and beautifully diced fresh strawberries. Each bite was SO delectable and dipping the donut in the 3 milk mixture with each bite was just SO...sigh, dreamy and incredible (drool face). The donut was so good I had to post a pic of it on my social media along with a gospel song by Patti Labelle because It was clearly a blessing to me that morning. That donut is a 5 star worldclass experience you will not regret. Non Tres Leches Donut items They have a great variety of other donuts as well and breakfast tacos, sandwiches, breakfast plates and bowls, even an indulgent donut sandwich that incudes sausage, bacon, chicken, cheese and an egg served on a soft warm glazed donut that melts in your mouth. So much variety, Their sausage and gravy biscuits are also fluffy and flavorful and they give you a good selection of your standard hot and cold coffees and lattes. Keto i should also mention they have a decent amount of keto options as well. Although Im not the biggest fan of their eggs (reason for the 4 stars instead of 5). The Service Lastly, the service at Pena's is always top-tier. They're always so polite and kind and really aim to get your order just the way you want it with kindness and a smile.

So it's been 6yrs since I've been back to Peña's, as an aircrew during layovers my crew and I would come here if there was a chance to enjoy wonder service from the Owner/Manager Rebecca and now her daughter Alyssa. Still the best bang for your buck if you're in the mood for baked fresh daily pastries (of course donuts) and brunch dishes. Great place to come for break or with family or friends. My favorite is you can see the bake shop through the glass and see them in action preparing the next batch of amazingness!! I highly recommend trying their famous cronuts (donut meets croissant) you won't regret it and also a must is their pancakes. Nothing like you've tasted before. Now I flew all the way from Florida and of course my first stop is here.... You know why because they just have the best brunch in the Hobby area. Conveniently 5-7 min from the airport and surrounding hotels. Next door to Pearland shopping area for those that don't have a vehicle. Again come down to Pena's!! It's a must.

Peña's is my favorite local coffee/go to spot! The staff are always so welcoming and kind, I always appreciate their extra mile of hospitality. The ambiance is comforting, something about it makes me always want to go back!

Amazing! The food was delicious and the employees were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a hidden gem!

Nearby for a baseball tournament and was hungry for an easy breakfast on a cold, gray morning. This sure fit the bill. There are options for all, from breakfast tacos to donuts to amazing breakfast sandwiches. The one I had featured lots of meats and I was able to exclude egg. The sandwich was huge! Staff are friendly and helpful and quick to meet your needs at all Angles. The place is open and nothing fancy in terms of decor but it attracts local meetings with good food and plenty of space.

I tried the breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and American cheese on wheat toast. Would definitely been betta with chedda. But tasty non-the-less. Americana coffee was tasty and strong, just the way I like it. I'll be back to try other items and meals on the menu.

Picked up a dozen beautiful donuts this morning only to find the donuts were old and hard. I don't understand why they sell old pastries. Very disappointing. Won't spend my money there again.

Excellent service from Alexandra, Alexa, Sam, and Alyssa; they were kind, friendly, warm and positive. The food was pretty good; the donuts and coffee were great, and the waffles and omelette were okay - some room for improvement there though. Waffles could have been crispier. The ambiance was good; it's a chill and casual place in between a diner and a cafe. Overall, it's a 4 stars but because of the excellent customer service a plus one for that!

I can only speak for the donuts. They were terrible. I bought two different flavors. One bite and they were in the trash. They were hard and had no flavor at all.

We came in today for a late lunch- the dining room was maybe 1/4 full. We waited for over 25 minutes for food when we started to notice people that arrived after us were already being served. We asked a waitress for the status of our food and she stated that they had an issue with the tickets and they had finally sorted it out. We asked if they had our ticket and she went to check (the answer should have been yes, they checked everyone that did not have food). They did not have our ticket and we asked for a refund. They wasted our lunch hour. We frequent this place lots and lately the service has not been what it used to be and the sodas from the soda fountain have been bad- they have struggled to correct it. They have been understanding about the soda problem and given us canned drinks. However, this recent issue coupled with the soda problem and the cost of their food has lead me to write this review. Everything is inflated right now and unfortunately with the higher prices, the expectation for better service is also higher.

Wow. Disappointing, again. I had a bad experience a few years ago at the Shadow Crk Pkwy location but, I decided to try again. First, I stopped by the Pena's at Shadow Creek Pkwy at about 11:30 to meet a friend. Turns out, I was at the wrong one. I noticed they had donuts, not the cool selection they used to have, but they had their cabinet full and looked to be making more. My friend was at the Pearland Parkway location, so I shot over there, got there at 11:45 for lunch and donuts. When I arrived, they had 6 donuts. Six. I asked if they were going to make any more and they said, no, it's too close to 2pm. I said the ONLY reason I come is to get donuts for the office and this was just a shame. A wasted trip. I don't get it, a place that call's themselves, "DONUT HEAVEN" and whose logo has a donut in it, didn't have donuts at lunch time. Ugh. I guess I'll try again in a few years. Shame. For the record, my previous experience was at the Shadow Creek Pkwy location. I had stopped in about 1 pm for lunch with a friend. We were going to get donuts for the office. As I ordered, I told the ladies behind the register that I was going to get some donuts and confirmed the price and said I would eat and come back up to get them, they said okay. As we were eating, I heard some commotion and saw them dumping pans full of stuff into a trash can. They did this a few times. Then, I realized it, they were dumping the donuts. They had thrown them all away after I told them I was going to order some. I was dumbfounded. It had just turned 2pm, the cabinet had been full, and there were people still eating in the diner. All I came for was the donuts. Dang it.

Our favorite breakfast spot in Pearland. Everything we've had has been delicious. The coffee is superb. The service is amazing! Friendly staff!

order alvacodo toast with fruit. Old brown alvacado, egg over cooked and old fruit not fresh. Then I ordered a boston cream donut which was not fresh and had a squirt of cream. All in all bad experience

Great local Counter service breakfast spot. A dog friendly patio and a wide variety on the menu. Positives: affordable, patio, fast and good food. Negatives: I wouldn't travel here just for the donuts (had better at Christie's in Montrose and la donut in the med center). Could have been cleaner and needs a new repaint on the inside lots of nicks and scratches by booths on the white walls.

For the amount of times I've driven past this place, I finally decided to give it a try and boy, it did NOT disappoint. I got the Blueberry Waffle and it was the perfect amount of sweet and savory! This waffle was so simple but it definitely did the job of keeping me full. I also got to try their kolaches, which were also pretty good and they came out hot and fresh! This is a cute local shop with tons of seating and parking available. It's definitely very family friendly and makes you feel like you're home. Overall, I can't wait to come back and try new things!

$24 for a dozen specialty donuts is ridiculous!! This place was great when it opened, but now it's mediocre.

Definitely not as good as it was when they first opened. We went about a month ago and there were barely any donuts in the cases. My husband's donuts were stale. We thought maybe it was just a bad day so decided to give it another try and it was even worse yesterday. Again, a very limited amount of donuts in the cases AND there were several small FLIES in the case and on the donuts. Husband said there were also the same flies in the restroom! Pretty sure they'd probably be in the kitchen too. Drive-thru customers beware!! They also stopped making our favorite cinnamon roll with maple frosting and walnuts :(. We will NOT go back.

Brisket kolche Brisket was juicy Breading soft and flakey Fried chicken glazed donut and honey butter sauce I'm a fried chicken SNOB. So often I'm served dry fried chicken. But Peña's know the secret to keeping their chicken juicy. I literally just drooled on my phone thinking about this. Brisket breakfast taco Nice amount of cilantro. The tomatoes were fresh and red! Brisket was AH MAKING Barbacoa Husband said it was thee most tender he's ever had. For my black coffee drinkers who sometimes enjoy a little flavor, their pecan coffee was delicious. The staff was very nice. I couldn't come up with anything to complain about if I wanted to.

i always see great reviews about penas, so i decided to try it for breakfast. i used the drive thru because there were no other cars in the drive thru at the time (plus it gave me time to analyze the menu without any pressure). the lady working the drive thru window was very customer service friendly. i decided on ordering a breakfast taco & lemon filled donut. when i say that was the best breakfast taco, you better believe me. i choose eggs, turkey sausage, & potatoes on a fresh flour tortilla. it was hot, fresh, and DELICIOUS! OMGOSH!!! i can eat that all the time. the lemon filled donut was a little different than i am used to. it has a powdered sugar coating instead of glaze. it was ok to me, just not my preference. i'll try a different type of donut next time, because "I'LL BE BACK..." (in my arnold swarzenegger voice).

Use to be my favorite restaurant until today. I check in at 12. Order the food. it was 12:45 and still no food. I have to go and ask. They don't even have an idea of my food. Spend 1 hour waiting. And another 15 minutes to get a refund. I spend all my lunch time just waiting for nothing

Great atmosphere, the customer service was stellar...whoever worked the front counter on 9/30 was the best at customer service. She was awesome. Food was speedy. I got the Texas twist, I'd give it a B- the chorizo needed a bit more seasoning and the croissant was very plain. The Keto Barbacoa was great A+, and the Chicken Biscuit a B+ the chicken was a little tough but and the gravy could use a little heat, but over all a great experience.

What a delightful surprise! We have been looking for a good diner for breakfast. This is our new favorite. Small but diverse menu including healthy keto options and southern breakfast biscuits. Great coffee and an excellent selection of teas. I got the barbacoa keto scramble and it came with fresh avocado, strawberries, and blueberries. My husband is vegetarian, and they made him a couple of veggie breakfast tacos. Best of all, there's a no-smoking outdoor seating area with beautiful plants. We will be back!

Excellent service and food. Everything cooked fresh. The spinach, egg, mushroom, jalapeño and avocado tacos are the best.

They have a great selection of donuts and kolaches. I love their Ultimate Biscuit Sandwich and the Brisket Kolache. They have an espresso machine and have decent espresso dink options.

Good atmosphere good food. Not very crowded for a Saturday morning Clean restaurant reminds me of the 50's they also make good donuts .

I took my young sons for a donut and some breakfast to Pena's. We ordered pancakes and a breakfast taco and biscuits and gravy. And...three milks. When my four year old tasted his milk he said, "the milk tastes horrible." I tried it and it had turned sour (nothing worse!). I tried to get replacements but most of the milk in their refrigerated case had turned. Certainly difficult to know until something like this happened, but there was a breakdown somewhere. The pancakes were mediocre--definitely from a mix. The biscuits and gravy were poor. Just didn't come together although I'm not sure how you mess that up. The breakfast taco was just okay. I thought that after the milk disaster, a manager would come and talk to me, but no, just ignored, although in general their service is good. All in all-- very disappointing. The kids polished off the donuts pretty quickly, so no problems there.

Peñas Diner has the best coffee ever! It's actual coffee with cream- not creamer with coffee. I've been here a few times and all times I've been happy with my order! I would definitely recommend coming here for your coffee mix!

Went there on a Thursday morning, around 10am. Not early, but certainly not too late to expect a decent selection of donuts to still be available. They had no glazed donuts...WHAT!!!? No excuse for that!!!! ...and only one filled donut left to be had. So, I went ahead and ordered it, along with a bag of donut holes. At least they had those. Well, the bag was only 1/4 filled, and consisted of what I could best describe as "day old". There's no way they were made that morning. The sausage, cheese and jalapeno kolaches I also ordered had no jalapenos, and very minimal cheese. Unbelievable. I'd be embarrassed to serve a paying customer what I received. They need to go back to their roots. They've fallen a long way away from where they started. Sad to see from this once great establishment.

This place is okay. I had the chicken and waffles and was not very impressed. The chicken was not battered well and did not have the best flavor. The donuts were also cold.

Pena's is a Pearland favorite. When they opened this new spot on Pearland Parkway, I had to check it out for myself. We went on a Saturday morning and the place was packed. Be prepared to wait if you are dining in. You can always go through the line and get your donuts, kolaches, and coffee if you are in a rush and the line moves fast. The staff is super friendly and accommodating as we wanted a few modifications to our order. I've had my eye on the Ultimate Southern Chicken Biscuit for awhile now so I went ahead and ordered that with a side of hash browns with cheese. This breakfast sandwich was sooo good! The biscuit was huge and flaky and topped with a perfectly seasoned and fried chicken breast, then topped with a fried egg, bacon, and cheese. If that wasn't enough, they then ladle on some white, peppery gravy. Absolutely delicious! I also tried a bite of the Migas and Florentine Omelette and they were good too. They serve Katz coffee which is one of my favorites in town. We also tried the delicious caramel frappe. Who comes to a donut shop and not get donuts? Not this guy! We each ordered a donut to go. They all were good, but the chocolate cronut was outstanding. If you don't believe me, come try it for yourself! We love supporting local, so we will be frequenting both locations because we are smack dab in the middle of both. They have also extended their hours until 6 p.m. from what I have heard and word in the streets is they make a mean burger. Will report back with intel!

My family and I came here on a whim and chose this spot as it is pet friendly, as long as you sit on the patio. Their menu has quite a few options and they also offer delicious Pecan coffee. I ordered a pecan coffee along with migas. They do not have heavy cream for coffee, which was a disappointment. The migas were delicious as they were paired with seasoned potatoes, beans, and homemade flour tortillas. Since being in the Covid pandemic, most restaurants bring individual packets of salt and pepper along with hot sauce. This restaurant did neither; we received all of the previously mentioned items in their original containers. This was a bit concerning as multiple people used them. Overall, it was a decent experience and the food tasted good.

Recently started having to commute to the Pearland area and finally tried this gem of a place!!! The employees are super sweet and the coffee is SO good. Will for sure be coming back to hit the whole menu!!!

I ordered this for breakfast one morning. I saw the donut breakfast sandwich and was super excited to try it. I always have wanted a sandwich like this but with a donut for the biscuit. The egg was slightly runny and the cheese was good! The donut was soft and was sweet. All of the flavors went well together. I got a side of hash browns too and those were pretty good. When I came to pick up my order, it was brought out to my car which was nice. Excellent customer service and the restaurant was very busy that morning.

We love everything about Peña's Donuts and Diner! (And I can't even eat sweets myself.) We noticed this place several times while waiting in a giant long line next door at *corporate coffee place*. The diner seemed pretty popular every morning, with customers driving through, getting takeout, and groups dining in. Their Yelp reviews were very enticing, so I tried coffee first. The staff running the drive-thru is consistently upbeat and friendly, helpful, and efficient. We are very fond of them! Once we started getting diner food, we were hooked! Daily specials like the brisket grilled cheese are perfect. And their famous chicken and waffles is enough for two people. Apparently, their amazing donuts are super popular as well! Highly recommended!

This local gem is a donut lover's heaven and the perfect casual, no frills kinda breakfast/lunch place. The parking lot is large but if you don't want to deal with that there's a drive thru window for all your on the go needs. My group of four came to visit on a weekday morning before shopping at Baybrook Mall, and Peña's did a great job filling us with deliciously prepared breakfast goods. There's tacos, donuts, sandwiches, bowls, and more for breakfast and looks like some more hearty dishes for lunch time. Our server was very friendly and efficient...what I expect from servers everywhere but don't get all the time. She made the dine in experience a very good one as it really gave Peña's that local, neighborhood friendly charm. We have never had a breakfast sandwich that was composed of a glazed donut and the usual mix (egg, cheese, choice of meat) so ending up with four of them made perfect sense for our adventurous taste buds. Let's just call them donut-wiches. The sausage, egg, and cheese donut-wich was a wonderful creation balanced between sweet and savory. The donut was not overly sweet which I liked and the in betweens were just enough. The Texas brisket donut-wich was a good portion of brisket in BBQ sauce that surprisingly went well with the slightly sweet, glazed donut. The sauce was slightly tangy/vinegary and reminded me of Carolina mop sauce, and that was mostly a hit with the people in my party. It was somewhat messy eating the donut-wich and maybe using sliced brisket instead of chopped brisket is a better idea. We ended our meal with the fruity pebbles donut and maple bacon donut. The cereal atop the donut was definitely picture worthy and tasted just the way it should be sans milk. I could see why kids would want this for breakfast. The maple bacon donut was amazing! Good amount of bacon bits which gave a slightly smoky flavor to the sweet maple glaze. I do-nut have a problem coming back here again egg-specially to enjoy both the food and service.

All purchased this morning around 9:30.Just got home with my breakfast kolaches. 2 suassge and cheese kolaches, the bread was hard?! 1 chorizo kolache, please excuse me if this is the normal taste but it was sour as hell. I had to spit it out. I have never had a chorizo kolache taste like that?! I had to throw it out. There is no way those kolaches were fresh based on taste and bread hardness, very dried out. We also purchased donuts, those were decent in that they werent hard and tasted like a regulat donut. Will not be returning. Very dissapointed as I saw sone pretty good reviews.

I love this lively breakfast diner. It's a great place where savory meets sweet in your leisure breakfast time. I love how friendly and welcoming the staff are here. They always get my order right, and the food is absolutely delicious. They even have servers to bring you your food. Houston you did it again. :)
