Yelp
Amazing hotel with great amenities. Very professional staff. They pay attention to details. Location on the water, but close enough to business areas.

Yelp
*This review is for Bar Pendry* Looking for afternoon tea in the DMV look no further than the boozy tea at Bar Pendry, located inside of the Pendry hotel at the Wharf. Once again, thank you Instagram for introducing me to another fun thing to do in the city! My friend and I made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon and were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. Hotel staff directed us to Bar Pendry and once seated the menus even had a personalized welcome message! We were given 3 different types of tea (a mix of hot and cold) and a mixture of savory and sweet treats. Of course some were better than others but it's nice have a large sampling to pair with your tea. Plus, if you want to add additional cocktails on beyond your tea you have that option - which other tables did partake in! Overall service was great, ambiance was great, and the tea was delicious! It's not the cheapest afternoon activity but it's a nice change of pace for meeting up with a friend from the typical restaurant or bar. Plus, it's located at the wharf and there are plenty of additional options for fun before or after the tea sitting. Although I may not come back for tea in the immediate future, I would definitely come back for the bar itself. I can see why it's so highly rated!

Yelp
This review is for Bar Pendry - not the hotel. Boozy afternoon tea is such a whimsy way to do brunch with the girls! We were fortunate enough to score the back room seating, which was intimate and allowed for a bit more privacy. The service was good, but they really didn't come around between tea offerings, which would have been nice since they said we could have a refill. If you don't like one of the three teas offered you can sub it out with another. The bites were delish. I loved the chicken liver moose pate and all of the desserts.

Yelp
The Pendry hotel at the wharf was an incredible stay. I enjoyed every single day of it. The service, the rooms, the food, the penthouse rooftop, the views the ambience the decor will all incredible things that made this stay very nice.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying the 4 stars is only because the parking at the Wharf too dang on high. I could have valet parked but after tip the price whould have been the same. I should have valeted, I love front door service. Next time! I ventured to the Pendry for an earlier afternoon Boozy Tea. I was very excited since it took months to get reservations. The experience did not disappoint. We were on the first seating at 12 noon right when the Bar Pendry opens. The host/bartender/ server greats you at the bar and escorts you to your already set table. They briefly go over the menu and your three tier sweet and savoy arrangement comes out. Each tier has a tea cocktail with a different spirit that pairs perfectly with it. I enjoyed everything and boxed up my portion of the sweets because I just couldn't eat anymore. The bar is beautiful with a Great Gatsby appeal. A lot of velvet and dark colors with gold trim everywhere. We stayed after tea to enjoy a selection from the bar menu. I love when the drinks come in the round martini glasses, it makes you feel extra fancy and delicate. Service was amazing. The staff was super friendly and readily available. They wanted to make sure you enjoy your time there. I enjoyed myself. Pop in for a fancy sip or make plans to don a fancy hat and sip on some tea. Either way you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
another great experience at bar pendry, this time at the boozy afternoon tea. they were able to make me a separate vegetarian option for all the savory bites with meat, and they even gave us an extra celebratory drink at the end! my favorite bites were definitely the scone and the opera cake :)

Nneka M.

Yelp
This is a fantastic alternative to traditional afternoon tea! This experience is located at Bar Pendry DC within the Pendry Hotel. And It comes with 3 separate tea cocktail concoctions that correspond with each tier of the crumpet spread. And the food was tasty and delicately prepared with very fine attention to details. The service is attentive and elegant. And you have the option to order food (small bites) and drinks from the bar menu. The hotel and the bar is stylish and sexy..with velvet curtains, sleek lines, and low lighting. This is a fantastic experience for an elevated but very modern tea outing...and I highly recommend. pro tip: parking is a non issue!! there's a garage attached to the hotel and valet parking is $35 (for up to 3 hours). Fyi: this tea is pricey..and gratuity and tax are included in the price. But its worth a try!!

Yelp
Came for boozy afternoon tea and we really loved our experience! I've been wanting to go to moonraker, and after our time at tea we will definitely be back! There's three courses for the tea. First tea is paired with the scones, which were delicious! The maple scone was unique and the original was perfect with the cream. The second tea was for your finger sandwiches. All really yummy, but loved the avocado toast the most. Had a nice kick to it! Third tea was for the desserts. Desserts were woah, amazing. Decadent and delicious. The yuzu strawberry tart was my favorite. Couldn't finish them all and wish I were able to take them home. How do I order them just because? Seriously so good! The teas were very nice, two cold ones and a warm one. First two were my favorite. I will say that the seats can be a bit uncomfortable. No backs which can be tough to sit on for 2 hours. And then because no backs, no place to put our jackets. We laid our jackets on the floor, not really classy for the Pendry Definitely something cute and fun to do with the girlies!

Yelp
I love this location for summer staycations. The pool is what draws me here. It's the best in the DC area because of the aesthetics, design, the pool is heated, and the way it sits in the middle of the wharf. It feels like it's tucked away in Cali. Definitely gives oasis vibes. Staff is friendly! I just love the warm welcomes. DC hotels are missing hospitality and Pendry hotel makes up for it. I hope it remains the same.

Yelp
Review for boozy Saturday tea: 1. The atmosphere of the bar and tea area is very swank. Velvet couches. Curtains. Nice lighting. Lush colors. Groups had enough space to not feel on top of each other. 2. The food choices are delicious. 3 courses of small bites (as in a singular bite size piece) on a tiered tray. paired well with the drink choices. Particularly enjoyed then smoked salmon & the pumpkin whoppie pie. You won't get full. But it's a nice snack. Think like an appetizer. Might want to eat a real meal beforehand. Idk if they offer a nut-free or allergen friendly menu but that might be something to keep in mind because each tier of options had something with nuts. 3. Service was AMAZING. Jordan was knowledgeable, attentive, and very kind in every interaction. She went above what we expected. I've been to the bar for regular service a few times and I can say it consistently has some of the best service in that area. 4. The "teas" are cocktails served in pretty tea glasses. My favorite was the "what's the tea". Matcha was hit or miss with our group. Think you need to be a matcha fan for enjoy it. Suggestion - maybe add real teas as options / mocktails - have a "nut free" menu option. This might already exist but if it doesn't I wanted to make the suggestion.

Yelp
Review for the Boozy Afternoon Tea. Overall I enjoyed my experience, service was good- they timed the teas well and i appreciated the descriptions at each tea/course. They served 3 different tea cocktails in gorgeous glassware with each drink corresponding to a tier of snacks on the tea stand. The bar area was lovely but the AC was out, which the waitress did warn and apologize to us for. It was pretty warm, especially after the final drink which was a hot beverage- they then brought a complimentary glass of bubbles, maybe as a token of apology. Nice gesture! I think the drinks could have either been a little stronger or there should have been a larger serving to make it more cost-worthy, and i'd go with the latter to not compromise the taste because all three offerings were delicious. The scones were really good and i typically don't like them. My favorite snack was between the avocado bruschetta or the pâté/asparagus bite. Because of the warm environment, the opera cake had melted to the stand making it harder to grab and the key lime tart base had gotten soft. The sweets were all well-executed. Good experience to try, even if only once..

Yelp
Stop in this hotel bar for drinks while we waited for dinner was an absolute treat. The bartenders were excellent with great service and energy. They definitely worked well together. The bar was packed but, we were able to find two seats together. We were celebrating our anniversary and the bartender advised me on the best drink for the aesthetic along with the best picture perfect accent. They had bar nuts available to munch on with a small plate meal options. I will definitely be back again soon and hopefully I will be able to enjoy a night stay.

Yelp
Beautiful new chic hotel with a bar on the wharf and a rooftop restaurant and bar. The Moonrakers is a private event space with views of the Washington monuments & harbor. Friendly, friendly staff & guests. Very nice small plates & craft cocktails fit the bill at the rooftop.

TaNeisha J.

Yelp
Such a beautiful property! I love pretty, beautifully adorned hotels, and Pendry fits the bill! Both valet and check-in were smooth. When you check-in, you receive a "code word" to receive a complimentary cocktail at the connected bar. I didn't care for the cocktail, so the bartender was accommodating and gave me a shot of Casamigos Reposado (already winning!). My room was spacious. I loved the black doors and the gold hardware. The mini-bar was fully stocked with premium spirits and the refrigerator had sparkling and still water. My room also had a nice view of the pool. Later in the evening, I was a bit hungry. The room service staff accommodated my want for sushi from the hotel's roofrop restaurant, Moonraker. I really appreciated that they allowed me to order sushi from Moonraker even though the menu was not a part of the in-room dining menu. Kudos! All-in-all, I thoroughly enjoyed my staycation at the Pendry. I will definitely visit again!

Yelp
If you're looking for a great experience with your girlfriends, you definitely want to check out the Boozy Teas at the Pendry. Three different teas infused with vodka, gin and bourbon and each is paired with a sweet or savory tea sandwiches. The decor is modern and the service is great. We had an awesome time. Highly recommended

Yelp
Having been to DC well over 100 times over the last three decades, this trip was not for Business, but for family and as such, I did not want to stay in the core and chose this property for being on the wharf in a way from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Outstanding new facility, beautiful rooms, outstanding views, but most impressive the staff everyone from the doorman the receptionist, the folks in the bar all were incredibly attentive and delivered. My only complaint was the door to the toilet, it was quite a feet to be able to get into a bathroom, toilet and close the door, but I don't think anything can be done to correct this and I suspect different rooms have better access.

Yelp
If you're looking for a luxurious stay in a fantastic neighborhood, this might be the perfect choice! The Pendry stands up wall against its competition in this segment. Our room was quite nice, clean and well appointed. Suffering one flaw,... a very slippery shower floor as it is made of a flat marble with no grooves or etchings for traction. The staff were always ready to help and were on point. We took a quick run up to the Moon Raker bar atop the building, great views, the service was speedy and executed by excellent staff, which speaks of their professionalism as the bar was packed. We will return to the Pendry next time we are running around DC, which is something we do occasionally, only now we have a hotel we really like.

Gigi R.

Yelp
Stayed there for the inauguration. The rooms are so small! With the little amenities they had, they failed. The coffee machine didn't work, there were no cups. It was so crammed. The tiny table, no dressers. There is no open shared spaces to be in the hotel, it's literally like a foyer and then the elevators to your room. For a price over 1k one would expect more. The front desk lady was low energy. The bar upstairs was beautiful to look out but the menu was just sushi. Quite frankly, this is more suited for those who want to hang out at the bar upstairs. The only thing five star about this place is the price. Please look elsewhere for hotel sleeping accommodations. People who rate this hotel five star, do not frequent five star hotels. Save your money.

Gloria M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and drinks. I've been in quite a bit and the drinks/service are always great. Deviled eggs are good too for a snack.

Tia S.

Yelp
Wow, my time at the Pendry was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to provide top-notch service, and the food and drinks were incredible. I'd easily give the whole experience a four-star rating. It was just a stunning day all around!

Catherine N.

Yelp
The Pendry Washington DC was a great night vibe to celebrate birthday shenanigans with my Sister in Love! It was a wonderful weekend of fun and joy with great drinks and food! I must say, anytime I come to DC...it's a vibe! It's my home and I love EVERY SINGLE BIT OF IT! The music was great, the food was amazing and our service was bomb! We also dropped by the night my son and his fiancé was engaged and we made a trip back..I must say, there were no regrets! Anytime you're in the area, stop by Pendry Washington DC...it's a hoot! Until next time...like, share and follow! ~Cheers!

Yelp
I came here for a staycation and to try some of the restaurants on the wharf. The location is amazing because you never have to leave the area if you prefer to hang out in the hotel or on the wharf. GLOWS: - Amazing view from the room- we booked the corner view. Hotel was aesthetically pleasing. - My thermostat was locked and someone from maintenance came right away to support. - They provided me with a complimentary extended check-out which was greatly appreciated -The pool area, lobby bar, and gym were nice amenities. I didn't get to try the roof top bar because it was all booked up. GROWS: - Valet is very expensive. With an already expensive room, it's just hard to cope with spending $75 a night for parking and it not being complimentary/reduced. - We ordered breakfast for room service and it was just okay overall. It didn't match the price, and the oats were very dry. - At check in it would have been nice for staff to help with making reservations to the bar. I didn't even think there would be an issue with getting a seat at the bar of the hotel I'm staying in, so a heads up would be nice.

Yelp
Made an executive decision to go ahead and pamper myself during this Staycation! My spa day at the Pendry was wonderful! Soo worth it! I'm thankful for the Excellent hospitality and cleanliness! And, that massage! Almost didn't want to share... such a great getaway in my backyard! Tiana, Carolina, and the beautiful staff member who kept the women's room clean and stocked, You all are an amazing team! I hope the employer shows their staff great appreciation. They are why I'll return and splurge! Thanks for such wonderful hospitality! Until next time!

Yelp
Amazing management , service is top tier , and the view is phenomenal. Not only that but the decor is very modern and nice . A very interesting bar but on the weekends there is a long wait so be sure to put in your reservations especially around summertime.

Jenny T.

Yelp
We were glad to be able to hang out here while waiting to get off the waitlist for Moonraker. Had a few snacks. Really loved the idea of the lobster corn dog-- it wasn't super lump meat so it doesn't seem like it was picked fresh from the lobster and fried with the batter, but I still liked the traditional corndog batter over this new concept. The sauce and small slaw it came with paired nicely. I REALLY loved the seasonal butternut squash soup. It was textured, not too sweet (my husband said he wished it was sweeter but I prefer a more savory soup). The dill, pumpkin(?) seeds, and light dusting of spices was perfect for a chilly night. It is definitely one of the best butternut squash soups I've ever had. I didn't have any drinks but my husband had the Old Fashioned with his choice (Michter's) and the bar selection was really good. Definitely a good spot to hang out, although it is small. The bartenders were really friendly and easy going too. We will be back.

Latrice R.

Yelp
This hotel is in a great location. Located right in the middle of The Wharf. The rooms are pretty nice but cozy. The views were even more amazing looking over the water. The check in process was pretty smooth. This was for a birthday weekend. We also booked the Spa Pendry - this was an absolute experience. If you're here for relaxation. This would be it! They also brought me a little miniature birthday cake. We appreciate the thoughtfulness of this.

Juan A.

Yelp
This place in a way reminds me Silver Lyan. Velvet (?) curtains, cool bar area and space in the back. I couldn't tell if it was reserved for private parties or not. Besides the obvious DC cost of drinks, this place is really cool and in a very cool spot. Service was ok - think the place was just busy, but it was super neat.

Lil Birdie N.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. Located right on the wharf. The architect is beautiful. Pool located on 2nd floor overlooking the waterfront. This is an ideal spot in the spring & summer months to utilize all their amenities. They have 3 restaurants located on premises Moonraker , Flora Flora, & Bar Pendry.

Michael H.

Yelp
STANDARDS MEAN EVERYTHING. My wife and I have stayed at Pendry hotels in West Hollywood, Sagamore (Fell's Point) and NYC. The Washington version is by far the laggard. There's an awkward cadence to their staff, who do not seem particularly well trained. Lots of repeat questions on check-in, ordering food, getting pool towels. It took 25-plus minutes to get a cup of coffee in the "Moonraker" breakfast cafe. And then only after someone else's breakfast was delivered to us. My wife and I visited the pool at 515pm. Of course the area was nearly empty given the hour. Still 80% of the pool area was off limits to us as it was blockaded by cabanas and luxury lounges. We were forced to sit, movie theater-like among the rest of the dregs (all 6 of us.) The presence of cabanas and lounges did not incentive an upgrade. It was petty and pissed everyone off. The decor is of course luxurious and unique; polished brass and electronic art and tasteful design elements. But style never trumps substance. The hotel needs a management enema.

Stephaney S.

Yelp
The most beautiful hotel and the outdoor pool area was literally like a dream! The service was amazing and the food was to die for! Had an excellent time last night.

Jacqueline V.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and wine list. Cava was just right. Decent salads and appetizers. Service was adequate. It's a busy night being Mardi Gras at the wharf

Rach R.

Yelp
It certainly isn't a five star hotel - I don't even think it's 4 star. The chairs in our room were soiled, the room was small, the gentleman named Nick at check in was an absolute jerk who took his terrible day out on us, and we are just glad we are only here a couple of nights. The Pendry NYC, yes- the Pendry DC, no way. The bed was at least comfortable.

Courtney J.

Yelp
So good!! We enjoyed drinks, the cheese plate, and black bean/regular burgers. The drinks and bartenders are everything you want out of a high end bar, fresh ingredients, handmade/squeezed ingredients, friendly, personable and exceptionally fast even when busy! Cheese plate was definitely on the smaller side and otherwise basic, but the burgers were amazing and fresh and some of the best fries around. Overall great time, definitely more expensive ($250 inclu. tip for what we had) but worth it occasionally for the experience and service level.

Madinah A.

Yelp
See details on Google review I can't type all that again. To paraphrase: -aesthetically pleasing hotel -staff could be more attentive and knowledgeable about info/inquiries prior to stay -location is near various food options, cvs, Starbucks but at night scene is chaotic if there is an event - Staff was courteous and welcoming. Service meets the baseline standard for any notable hotel but nothing to set them apart as exceptional -Parking is $70 per night (buzz kill) -I ubered but found it somewhat difficult to let driver know where to pick me up because the main entrance is really tucked away. -Overall I had a good experience but the hotel needs to work out some kinks for a seamless top tier experience

Brenna K.

Yelp
Review of Bar Pendry in the lobby: Wonderful cocktail bar! They provide delicious little snacks of olives and marcona almonds, and the drinks are some of the best Ive had lately. The service was above and beyond -- I was mistaken about a menu item, and they hunted down what they needed to make the drink I requested. The prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for!

Grace S.

Yelp
I was only here for drinks but the drinks at the bar pendry were really good! I loved the ambiance of this hotel bar -- a quiet luxury, I would call it. We will definitely be back!

Kevin M.

Yelp
The front desk and bell staff have been amazing; friendly and warm. The local car service was a pleasant surprise and bellman Zion was amazing. The room service is poor. Orders delayed well beyond promised time and persistently annoyed by long wait just for ice (no other option here for ice other than to ask staff). During one of our days the room was not cleaned despite hanging the make up room door tag and being out of the room from 8AM-3 PM. The rooms are stylish with comfortable beds but very small. The bathrooms are bizarrely small. The location on the wharf is nice with easy access to many restaurants. Overall a disappointing experience; luxury hotel prices with a far from luxury experience.

Natalie K.

Yelp
Came with a colleague on a Tuesday. Despite being one of only two tables when we arrived, service was incredibly slow. Drinks were good but waaay overpriced. Of the food, the truffle edamame was good. The chicken was nearly inedible and the rest of the food was mediocre. Also incredibly overpriced. It got busier toward the end of the meal and service got even worse. Will not be back. They also added an extra $10 to the tip I left! And I had already given them 20 percent undeservingly. My credit card actually caught it for me (asked if I meant to give a 35 percent tip) which I definitely did not. Yet Penny did not change the total.

Yelp
Long overdue review of this fabulous hotel that I've been fortunate enough to stay at several times. First, a little background - I was unfamiliar with the Wharf area in DC and was given the hotel as recommendation from a friend (who had been to Moonraker, their outstanding rooftop bar) - so glad I did. The hotel is new, boutique, and very luxurious. After about 10 minutes there I was in love; it's a 5 star hotel in all the best ways: beautifully appointed rooms, swanky cool sexy restaurants and bars, luxurious common areas and amenities, and staff that just make you feel so comfortable and welcomed (more on that in a minute). I made a reservation at Moonraker for drinks/dinner in the evening but checked-in early and made full use of the hotel. Briana in guest services was so helpful she was a total rock star getting me sorted with everything and kicking things off to a great start. I spent the afternoon at the spa & pool which were outstanding - the perfect way to unwind and settle in. The spa there is excellent; my ritual is relaxing in the eucalyptus steam room then lounging around drinking the cucumber water until I feel like a human again. I walked up and down the Wharf to kill time, it's centrally located with just about everything nearby and the views are just beautiful anywhere you go. Before my dinner rez I posted up at the Pendry Bar in the lobby, fell totally in love with that bar and had one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had from Shanika (and then Thomas, the next day) - if either of them are at the helm you're in very good hands. Order the caviar deviled eggs too they were again, best I've ever had. Aisha Siraj the Banquet Chef was kind enough to ask me how they were and then pass along the recipe to me, and--as you can see (trend developing here)--she was awesome too. When it was time for dinner I took the elevator up the Moonraker, was promptly greeted by the staff and showed to the bar. That bar is unreal beautiful. The panoramic views, the décor, the ambiance, the intimacy of it. I've been to a handful of rooftop bars in the DC area and I can say with confidence you are doing yourself a serious disservice by not putting Moonraker at the top of your list. I had bite of sushi which was excellent and the gin drink on the menu that was outstanding. When my date arrived we decided to stay at the bar and forgo a table. The food and beverage director, Chris Alvear, anticipated the change (almost before we did!) and carved out a perfect spot for us at the corner of the bar - it made our night and we had the best time. Chris and I also had the opportunity to chat at the bar down at Clara Clara (their 2nd floor restaurant) the following day, the Pendry is extremely lucky to have him, he's the best. These guys really know what they're doing and I can't say enough about how thorough, knowledgeable, professional and just plain cool everyone is there. I feel like I want to work there (laughing). Mike, the bartender at Clara Clara makes one of the best Sangrias you'll ever have. I realize I keep describing everything as "the best" "amazing" but seriously--they marinate their sangria in terracotta pots overnight to accentuate the depth of flavor ... who does that? As a drink and food aficionado and just general lover of luxurious and well executed things this I feel nicely encapsulates the level of quality and thought that goes into everything at the Pendry--they treat every aspect of the hotel with a level of care and attention that you just don't find elsewhere and go above and beyond in ways that really make a difference. Anyways, I'm completely hooked. I'll be there again in May. I wouldn't even consider staying elsewhere. You guys are the best!

Emily P.

Yelp
Pendry lobby bar was beautiful but service was so incredibly slow. Bartender complained that he was the only one on staff but the place was far from busting at the seams and a second bartender came in a few minutes later. Drinks were all good- I enjoyed the Rose of Any Other Name. We also enjoyed the caviar deviled eggs, which were a hit.

Yelp
When I saw that The Pendry had opened at the Wharf, I was excited to go there. I had the absolute pleasure of going to Bar Pendry and Sonny was SUNNY! He brought all the sunshine and joy! He introduced himself as our intoxicologist and that was all the introduction we needed! He was warm, inviting, personable and the man knows his spirits! He took the time to engage with everyone who sat at this bar and understand exactly what they like. He curated the best tasting and looking drinks. Sonny and Amber kept the bar moving and the customers happy. We went up to Moonraker for dinner but found ourselves right back at Bar Pendry for Sonny to make one more cocktail for us. It was such a great experience, and I can't to return for more!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with excellent service! This is the view from room 804. Get this room! Stunning views! You can see the Pentagon from there. The hotel is also on this beautiful wharf, so you can walk to some great restaurants and bars. Whenever I come back to DC, I will definitely stay here again. Thanks very much for your warm hospitality.

Henry T.

Yelp
Drinks, service, and location are all amazing. Been here 3 times and never disappointed. Highly recommend for drinks and hanging out!

Jacob D.

Yelp
Amazing classy bar with a great vibe! Drinks are very good and the bartenders hold great conversations!

Yelp
Occasion: Vacation with family (2 adults, 3 children) Location: lots of restaurants, nice views, quick uber or drive to national museums and monuments. Service: 1. Great! Received Fiji water upon arrival and request. 2. Welcomed with a nice bar of chocolate delived to room. 3. Check-in was simple and very helpful/courteous. 4. All questions were answered. 5. Room was serviced upon request. 6. No roll away beds although site advised they had. 7. charged for honor bar water although we didn't use it. (Update: contact made with front staff, charged removed) Hotel: 1. Rooms were ok, beds were very comfortable. 2. Gym was very good. A lot of free weights and machines. One of the better gyms I've seen and also has still/sparkling water. 3. The entire Pool is 3'6 which in our case was ok with the children. The hot tub was nice. Overall the pool was ok. Valet: HORRIBLE! $75 a night....this is were the Pendry failed. I requested my vehicle on our 2nd day stay and received it quickly, no problem. However upon returning that night the valet service was terrible and rude. First of all, valet saw us pull up and instead of assisting my wife and kids, they walked into the hotel. Another man was standing at the podium and did not make an effort to acknowledge us. As I'm removing the kids out of the car, that guy tells my wife "what do you want" (I did not hear this and my wife didn't tell me after the fact because I would have lost my ****). Anyway, I leave my window down and place my key fob on the dash and proceed to go the the podium. The guy tells me to go get the keys , then tells me that the yellow tag isn't on the key so I didn't valet my vehicle. I explained that's how I received the keys in the morning. He then states he can't valet my car. At this point I'm exhausted after a long day and go inside to Pendry for assistance. They then quickly went outside to speak to valet. Still at this point we are going back and forth. The guy then shows me my original ticket number with someone else vehicle information and name and asks if that was me (rhetorical question) I'm tired, I wasn't  entertaining sarcasm. After letting him hear a few words, another valet simply opened up another ticket for me and took the vehicle with no problem. I was livid, I told my wife and kids to go to the room because I was going to let this guy have an earful. Then my wife and kids tell me he disrespected my wife when we arrived. Man did I want to go back downstairs, but I decided against it. Overall: The Pendry itself was great. Although I used my Amex Platinum points and benefits, the hotel was approximately $1450 for two nights stay. My understanding is that valet isn't direct Pendry employees but a hired 3rd party. **Update** I spoke with a gentlemen named John who was extremely helpful and courteous. I explained the incident from the previous night and the Pendry went ahead and made the situation right. The hotel itself along with the service is great and what I expect from a 5 star hotel. Prior to speaking with John I was convinced not to come here again. I'm hoping valet was an isolated incident and at this point I would give Pendry another shot...thanks to John.

Yelp
My husband and I eloped in DC and stayed for a night at the Pendry hoping to have a special stay-cation to celebrate our elopement. However, we were scammed with additional charges that were either not disclosed upfront, or were mistakes that they refuse to fix. We were charged twice for the nightly valet parking despite staying for 1 night with 1 car. There was no mini bar menu in the room detailing the price of each item, and they charged me $145 (!!!) for the small bottle (200ml) of Clase Azul tequila. The full bottle (750 ml) retails for $175. I had called ahead to see if some flower petals could be placed in the room given our elopement that day, but that was never done. We arranged for a late checkout, but two times housekeeping tried to enter despite having the Do Not Disturb sign placed on the door. Lastly, I had to call three times to get someone to send me my receipt over a week later of the incidental charges. This was a special night for us, and we were hoping to have a meaningful getaway, but the Pendry really dropped the ball and reception was not willing to help make it right when I attempted to challenge the incidental charges that were incorrect and the lack of price transparency with the minibar. We will not be returning.

Yelp
I visited the Pendry bar. It was a week night and there were only me and 3 others present. The establishment was chic and clean...a glam mid century steakhouse decor theme. There was one bartender named Javier. Extremely pleasant. He held conversations with everyone and constantly made sure we were good on drinks and offering menu suggestions. I was served my own personal dishes of candied pecans (amazing) and olives. I ordered the turtles down (I think that's what it was called), an aperol spritz, and a bacon cheeseburger. Very pricey but I would happily pay again for the experience and customer service. I promised Javier that I would return.

Yelp
Stars for location only. Spent a weekend with friends, 3 rooms were reserved. Parking was available for $75.00 a day but when we got a flat tire, they gave us a hard time leaving the car outside when roadside service was on the way and only took a few minutes to change the tire. This was just a series of "No" we received the whole time. You can't sit here. You can't get that, etc. Room service coffee delivered at "room temperature" etc. Room took till afternoon to get cleaned, staff was very unfriendly and seemed to have an attitude whenever you asked for something.
