Penelopes Vegan Taqueria Pilsen

Excited to have this new spot in the neighborhood and to support a longtime community member from Pilsen. That said, the food was delicious! I got the pambazo and was happy with the size and the flavors. The salsa was also bomb. Not too spicy but with the right kick. We also ordered the taco dinner. The barbacoa taco made with jackfruit tricked my brain, the asada was on point and I couldn’t believe I wasn’t eating meat. The Baja was also a nice surprise with the avocado , beer batter and the habanero on top. Overall, a great experience. To drink we ordered the butterfly horchata and it didn’t disappoint. The service was excellent and so was the background music.

Everything I’ve had here has been delicious! This was my first time at this location but I’ve been to the other two and everything has been pretty consistent. The portion sizes are appropriate for the price and the flavor is on point! Cute atmosphere and convenient location. Will be back!

I’m so excited about this place! They also serve coffee which is good to note for the future. I got the taco dinner with two asada tacos and one Baja taco! The Baja is unlike any taco I’ve had before and I can’t wait to try again!

We ordered delivery: three kinds of taco, a chimichanga plate and a (very big!) slice of cake. Servings size was quite large and everything was delicious. Perfect place to sate a Mexican food craving!

Absolutely love this place! I'm not vegan but this has become my go to restaurant in my neighborhood. Love everything on the menu, the atmosphere and the owners! Definitely get a side onion rings with your tacos when you are here!

This place was really hospitable with a lot of good music played around the restaurant, very welcoming people, very nice bathrooms. But I really don't agree with them deleting a person's review that was stating the injustices of this restaurant. 30 minutes after my family and I ate at this restaurant, 3 out of the 5 people got food poisoning. I hope everyone seeing this review can see a sense of awareness of this place.

I love penelopes! I'm so glad one opened up near me. I have been here a few times since it opened, and the service is always amazing. The food is just as amazing, too. I LOVE their Asada tacos and all the different horchata flavors they have. Make sure to make room for dessert because it's also tasty! I definitely recommend it even if you aren't vegan/vegetarian

Was really excited to try the quesabirria and was not disappointed! Super flavorful and filling. I also tried the matcha horchata and will definitely be getting it again!
