My child is attending summer camp. She is having a fantastic time. Great staff.

Nice fields, people, players, parents should really pick up trash before leaving. Side lines covered in plastic trash. More effort people.

Pretty nice field. There are 3 softball diamonds. One has lights. The 2 good fields were taken, but a 3rd back stop remained. There is a very small tot lot near the parking lot.

They have the most amazing karate class for kids !!

Well-maintained grounds, plenty of refuse cans, adequate stands, &, most importantly, clean bathrooms. 🚻 😊

I love this Rec Center, all of my children joined this seasons soccer league. The coaches and staff are friendly, definitely recommend bring your kiddos here.

This is a good place for club soccer, little league baseball, or practicing cross country running. The field is pretty decent but there are definitely a lot of divets in the grass so be careful when you are playing soccer, or running. The recreation center is good for kids who need a place to wait for their parents to pick them up after school. The recreation staff is pretty good about keeping the kids busy with afterschool games, and indoor sitting places. The rec center is small and can only fit about 40 people inside. There is parking for about 30 vehicles and the weekends get packed so many park on the street for weekend sporting events. The City of San Diego needs to replant the w trees in the front planter, as there is barely any shade trees here for visitors in the summer Since the rec is closed on weekends, the soccer and little league crowds (hundreds of people) end up urinating all around the field, behind, and on the side and f the rec center walls, and in many areas of the athletic public areas. City really should create a public restroom that does not lock on weekends.

You can never go wrong when you enjoy a brisk walk on a winter SUNday morning in your neighborhood. Tons of parking available off of Dusk Dr and a small parking lot adjacent to the baseball diamond. Remember, this isn't a park with a huge play area (jungle gym, multiple slides, tons of swing sets, etc)- it's an athletic field. Sundays are predominately for soccer leagues accommodating different age groups. That grassy field is huge & towered by mature eucalyptus trees. The baseball diamond has a set of weathered bleachers that look like splinters are happy to poke your butt when you sit down on them. There are men/ women restrooms available. I have a longtime friend who is an official AKBC (American Kennel Bulldog Club) Judge & she has used Penn Athletic Field twice a year to host shows. The community of Paradise Hills launched it's first community gathering here in December '17- Paradise Hills Night Market- which showcased many residents/ alumni w/in the neighborhood to showcase their goods (art, food, music, etc.). Excellent customer service! Spoke with Allie, maybe not correct spelling, but she was more than helpful. I'm trying to find soccer league and she went looked up what areas that she knew were conducting soccer seasons. I really appreciated her help and a kind and polite voice!
