My husband and I had a wonderful time. It was absolutely beautiful there !!!! They were celebrating Cinco de Mayo , we were out sharing the gospel for the Lord Jesus Christ planting seeds.🌱 everyone received a track and was kind no one denied. We prayed for everyone salvation that accepted a track from us. We attend Faith Baptist Church in Oak Creek Wisconsin all is welcome. And here are some photos of our day.🥰💚🩷⚔️👑🎉🌱🍇🔥✝️

Very clean. Long walk to water though with lots of rocks! Good to collect and paint

Great view. The sound of song birds and red winged black birds. The sand dune restoration and added wetlands has provided an oasis for these birds. Great to experience without having to leave the city limits.

Captivating Sunrises and Thrilling Windsurfing: Pennoyer Park, One of Kenosha's Beach Gems Rating: ★★★★★ Pennoyer Park in Kenosha has stolen my heart, and it's not just because it's in my hometown. As a photographer and nature enthusiast, this park has become my haven for capturing the most breathtaking sunrises and adrenaline-pumping windsurfing action. Here's why Pennoyer Park deserves a spot on your bucket list. 🌅 Sunrise Magic: Pennoyer Park offers an unrivaled vantage point to witness the daybreak over Lake Michigan. The ample parking along the drive allows you to set up comfortably in your car, sip on your morning coffee, and savor the mesmerizing sight of the sun rising from the horizon. The play of colors in the sky and the serene lake waters make this park a paradise for photographers and early risers alike. 🏄 Windsurfing Wonderland: If you're into watersports or just enjoy watching them, Pennoyer Park is a hotspot for windsurfing enthusiasts. With its consistent winds and well-established community of windsurfers, you can always count on a thrilling show. I've captured some of my most spectacular action shots here, thanks to the skilled athletes who frequent this spot. 🏖️ Beach Bliss: Pennoyer Park boasts a lovely beach, perfect for sunbathing, picnicking, or simply relaxing to the sound of gentle waves. But a word of caution: while the beach is inviting, swim with care, as there are strong rip currents. Always adhere to safety guidelines when taking a dip. 🌊 Pike River Magic: One unique feature of this park is the Pike River, which gracefully flows into Lake Michigan. It's a picturesque spot for nature enthusiasts, and if you're lucky, you might spot some wildlife or capture the river's serene beauty. 📸 Sharing the Beauty: As a photographer, I've filled my Stray Compass Life social media with countless Pennoyer Park shots. Follow me to see more of the magic this place offers through my lens. You'll find inspiration for your next visit and maybe even some tips for capturing the perfect shot. In summary, Pennoyer Park is more than just a park; it's a place where nature's beauty and human talent converge. Whether you're a local or passing through Kenosha, don't miss the opportunity to experience the captivating sunrises and windsurfing thrills at this hidden gem. Just remember to respect nature and the safety guidelines in place. See you at Pennoyer Park, where every sunrise is a masterpiece waiting to be photographed. Beautiful pickleball courts. There are four permanent nets and lines on the tennis court if you bring your own net (and no one is playing tennis). Courts are first come, first served, and are quite busy.

We went to see Northen lights on Oct 10th 2024. It was amazing display of Lady Aurora. Felt safe at night time.

Very wide open beach area, well groomed. A little too many rocks for my liking but nonetheless pretty

Yelp
Pennoyer Park is a gorgeous stretch of user friendly beachfront and park with a bandshell. It is flat, near the tennis courts and has ample parking. I love hanging out there for a bit with my sister when I am in town. We usually sit and reminisce. There are always a ton of birds so you can take beautiful photos. There are no snack outlets nearby but the summer is filled with fun activities in the park area. If you are lucky enough to catch a concert, food and beer, it's a bonus! Otherwise, Pennoyer Park and Beach offer a great place to visit during all seasons, whether an event is happening or not.

Yelp
Decent Spot to unwind for a while n watch the sea gulls flying. Not a great spot for games as there is not lot of sand and too many small sharp stones. Waves are not rough so swimming can be done but dint notice any life guards either.Parking and restrooms available.2-3 restaurants which are walkable.

Yelp
No frills but I can't complain because it's free and they don't have 100 rules about what you can and can't do there. I'm from Northern IL and wanted to take my pup to the lake because it's been so crazy hot I thought it would be a good for her to burn off some energy and not overheat. Well basically anywhere along the north shore you either have to be a resident or dogs just flat out aren't allowed... boo that! Undeterred we drove up to Kenosha and enjoyed our time at the lake and my pup was thrilled to be swimming! There was plenty of free parking. The bathrooms were honestly pretty scuzzy but they were stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. The beach was large and sandy away from the water but got somewhat rocky toward the shore. I found a piece of blue sea glass so I was pretty excited about that! There is a band shelter just off the beach where it seemed they must have concerts and there were signs about a farmers market on Tuesdays. Lots of people out being able to have free, quality time at the lake makes me smile. Very happy about finding this spot! It makes me sad that IL is so restrictive about their Lake Michigan shoreline, just let people enjoy the lake! We had a nice lunch and stopped for Spotted Cow while we were in WI so they got some business from us while we were up there.
