You guys, I don't know why I didn't go sooner. Penny's is immaculate. She's the type of coffee shop that, if you were walking down the street, you'd look twice at. A stone cold stunner, if you will, in the form of a revamped, historic-looking, brick building. An eye-catcher, to say the least. And that's just the exterior... stepping inside of Penny's, this coffee shop boasts an absurd amount of seating for a mom & pop place. And right in the heart of the city too. Not sure how they swung that move, but here I am with a seat on a busy Sunday! On top of the space & its homey charm, inside & out, there's a clear knowledge of the good stuff here (coffee). Their beans come from the local favorite Tipico Roastery, and their options range from funky, seasonal specials to an out-of-the-ordinary, Turkish coffee to a solid, well-brewed shot of espresso. They've got their coffee situation on lock. Now, I'm afraid I'll have to save the food scene here for another day, because it's almost too much goodness to handle. So, I'll just leave you with this:
Bagels. Tirimisu. Salads. Baklava. Shawarma.
It's a broad spectrum where quality does not lack. Everything here is done with care & attention. So, to the owners whose names I forgot to ask, you've done an astounding job in the past two years this place has been open. Cheers to many more!
