I'm probably overrating this because we went on a slow night, and only had some apps and drinks, but the waitress and the bartender as well as the food and drinks were very good to exceptional. To start with the service I asked for a drink that was not on the menu ( a Russian mule not anything that exotic) and even though I ordered something else, the waitress and bartender looked it up and brought me one without me even ordering it. It was very good and they did not even charge me. I highly recommend the paper plane drink that was on the menu. My Italian buddy and his wife ordered one each and they were very good. Bourbon and aperol base who would have thought? The ladies ordered some Mediterranean plate with hummus and chips and the waitress noticed we were running low on chips and replenished - love it when the waiting staff is and on the ball! The next exceptional part was the pork belly sliders. Maybe I am partial to pork belly anything. But they the first ones were so succulent We ordered another round. The second ones were not as moist and generous, but still very good. Atmosphere was upscale casual was sitting nicely arranged for small groups towards the windows and larger gathering spaces around rows of comfortable couches. We went during the week in the evening so the vibe was chill, with cool music that was not disruptive to conversation and lighting That was just right relaxed but not too dark. Great evening overall

We had an amazing birthday lunch yesterday. Penthouse restaurant offered lunch specials as well as they have a wide food menu & cocktail selection, the portions were adequate and every dish was full of flavor. Our server Marie was efficient & attentive, who went above and beyond to make the birthday girl feel celebrated. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a great atmosphere! Skip this place. The views are great and it's very comfortably set up, and they even have good happy hour prices. The service, though, is just awful, and will wreck your experience. We got drinks delivered after about ten minutes, which was fine, but we also ordered chips and guac (so as not to drink on an empty stomach) and waited 25 minutes for it. The first time I asked our waiter it was quite obvious that he hadn't put the order in. The second time I asked he barely acknowledged the question. In the middle of all of this I asked for two waters. Our waiter spent a fair amount of time chatting at the bar while enjoying his own water...after another five minutes I just went up to the bar and got them myself. When the chips and guac finally arrived (by which time my ice-cold Manhattan was tepid) it was a ridiculously-presented plate, see pic below. We closed out our check and the waiter added a 20 percent tip for himself and told me it was standard. I pointed out that the menu indicated that a tip was standard for parties of six only. Caught red-handed, he removed the tip and tossed the bill down. No apologies for terrible service; he simply tried to get away with what he usually does, I guess. We won't be back!

This rooftop bar is lovely, plenty of seating options. Comfy couches, indoor bar area, an outdoor pool deck and window side tables. I found reservations on Open table and decided to check it out. It's newly opened or perhaps reopened bar. I had a wonderful experience, the concierge was delightful. My waitress Stephanie was attentive and friendly. The menu has a good selection with reasonable prices they had several vegetarian options. I didn't get a chance to try a drink as the bartender didn't start until later in the day. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the beyond beef nachos, they are super tasty.

Enjoyed my breakfast and the service was amazing. Thoughtful, great energy and checked on us constantly. This has really set the bar for our trip to NYC, thanks Kiyon!

Very upscale environment. Enjoyed the rooftop as part of my stay. Enjoyed a smash burger & the crispy fries with secret sauce, as well as tequila cocktail. Visited on a Sunday evening around 5:30pm not crowded at all great service.

The communication during check-in was a bit chaotic. I really was hoping for more amenities. The location was great and quiet at night. We enjoyed the pool on our last morning.

Great rooftop, part of the hotel but has its own entrance. We came here for mid day drinks on our trip to kill some time before our next stop on the itinerary and it was perfectly chill vibes. Sweet views & next to the pool with some good drinks and small bites. The drinks here were great. I enjoyed both the old fashioned and the Manhattan cocktail. I think there was an event here when I came so it was busy, but the service was good. The lounge had a warm and refined ambiance and it also had a great view of the city.

Terrible service. Literally sat for 8 min (timed it on my phone) before anyone walked over simply to ask me if I was interested in a drink. it's important to know that this place was probably at 20% capacity and once I received the menu, I waited about another 7 minutes watching the waitress walk around and then she finally came over and took my order. I don't know what's happening in society today, but the level of service is the worst I've ever seen in the last 20 years. And the irony is everybody expects a 20, 22, to 25% tip regardless of the type of service they provide.

FABULOUS, cozy, hip, warm place to grab a drink at the top of this hotel -- we sat outside, delightfully in September... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great service Yummy food ! Beautiful scenery ! I highly recommend coming on a nice day. They even have an outdoor pool on the roof!!

Such a vibe. Cute rooftop pool with good food and even better drinks. The service was amazing and though there were children at the pool, it did not take away from the experience. I loved being able to reserve a daybed in advance and having my own little section for me and my friend. The only gripe I have would be the music. The music was a buzzkill and was not giving the energy I needed it to give. I would return during the summer to catch a vibe, have a nice drink and tan a little.

Writing a review because I saw so many reviews about bad service and I just wanted to say the service was 10/10 when I went. Everyone was super nice and came by very often to check on the table. The lounge was really nice and cozy. I came on a Sunday for cinco de mayo and it was really calm even with the holiday. I'd definitely come back

Cute rooftop space with seating both indoors and outdoors! Cocktails are $18 and wine is $16. Bartender was super nice and friendly! Small menu but I really enjoyed the "French kiss" cocktail that I got! Can't really see the Empire State Building unless you're in the pool area which is off to the side of the rooftop. I believe it's open to the public even if you aren't staying at the hotel (but call to double check!).

The view was nice but the waiter was so rude and the rooftop is swarmed with bugs. Our glass of wine was filled with bugs in 2 minutes

The good: The food was tasty The host was kind. The bad The service was awful and that is being generous. Frankly the server we had was overly pushy, and inattentive. We weren't the only table that felt as the service was lacking. The menu mentioned an auto-gratuity of 18% for parties of 6 or more and we had a 20 % gratuity added when we only had a party of 5. We chose to pay and leave rather than wait an extended period of time till we could get someone's attention and have things rectified. I wouldn't recommend coming to this establishment, especially at this price point unless you enjoy lack luster service, managers that mock guests that have had a poor experience, and only okay cocktails.

Went there impulsively. Shockingly good food for a place we went to for the vibe. Everyone was really nice, food was prompt and menu was good.

My students held a small graduation party here. Service was impeccable, drinks and food, delicious. Beautiful rooftop views and beautiful people. Definitely going back. Comfy spot for date night or girls night out. Absolutely loved everything about this quaint little spot!! Oh, forgot to mention..There's a hot tub!!!!!

Came here for drinks last weekend with a reservation and waited at least 10 minutes before we even saw a host to seat us, then waited long periods to be seen by a server and put in orders, get silverware/ water, etc. Food and drinks were subpar here along with the service sadly.
