"The Coronado fine dining institution has stellar views of the waterfront and downtown skyline. The crunchy coconut shrimp, fish dishes with coconut ginger rice, and prime rib are favorites, paired with a robust wine list and an extensive cocktail book, including a tableside mojito flight for two, make this a spot for special occasions." - Helen I. It’s seems like people either have a great experience or a not so go experience. Our lunch was great. 30min wait to seat due to short staff. We sat on the patio for the city view. The waiter was great. The food was great. We ordered a bowl of lobster bisque, the shrimp Cobb salad, and a couple burgers. The lobster in the bisque was fresh and not precooked. The salad was great. The burgers were also good. The avocado was virtually whole halves inside the burger. Overall a great experience. We will definitely come back when in town.

This restaurant is gorgeous inside! The staff were extremely friendly and timely. We enjoyed cocktails and the jumbo shrimp cocktail to start our meal. It was plenty for 3 of us to share. The shrimp was fresh and crisp and nothing less than we expected! Our party ordered the Prime Ribs in 10 oz and 18oz and the swordfish. The cuts of Prime Rib were tender and flavorful. Just beautiful cuts of delicious beef! The swordfish was delicate, yet meaty. All dishes were beautifully presented! Just wonderful! We enjoyed our meal with rolls and asparagus. I highly recommend this restaurant for their tasty menu and their professional staff! We frequent fine dining restaurants all over the nation (and some parts of the world). This restaurant is right up there with the best!

Delicious food and spectacular views of San Diego from across the bay. Great place to sit outside and enjoy dinner and the sunset. Great atmosphere and seating inside as well. We were early for dinner with no wait to be seated. Friendly staff and our waitress had great food and drink recommendations!

This place really isn't bad. There's a great view if you face outside. The food isn't the level you'd expect for what you're paying. I'd say it's more on the line of a tourist trap. The service was a bit odd that our server said she was playing tag with another one and then we had a pretty long wait after the initial drinks before we could order.

Delicious seafood and meat. Amazing fresh local foods, and soups and salads. They have a great drink list and non alcoholic mock tails as well Great for families and small groups We came for Christmas dinner and had a wonderful time The staff is attentive and friendly We would recommend this for locals and visitors alike

This is my go-to place for dinner on Coronado Island. Excellent food and amazing views put you in the mood to just hang out and enjoy every moment. The seafood and prime rib are divine. Service is top-notch here as well. An exquisite dining experience.

Dining with a beautiful view of the San Diego Bay. Elegant and variety of tasty dishes. Cocktails are a must too. Service is good. Dine outside for a beautiful experience, or sit inside where it looks like an aquatic attraction. Hidden jem in Coronado island. You can even ride the ferry from downtown and just a very short walk from the Coronado ferry center.

This place was excellent and the service by Patrick blew me away. He was more than thorough with the menu, he was a walking encyclopedia. Very accommodating, splendid demeanor, and attentive. He even offered to replace my lobster bisque since it came out way before my friend's dish--I declined, and although it was cold by the time I ate it, it was still delectable with plenty of lobster chunks rather than mere bits like most places. My friend said her steak was cooked to perfection, and Patrick was very knowledgeable with the questions he asked in terms of the cut and temperature she preferred. Apparently the horseradish is something to behold as well! The cocktails are very fun, reasonably priced for the location and atmosphere. And you can't beat those views of the tide coming into the sand as boats pass while locals picnic on the grass. We were privileged with a breathtaking sunset you can only get in San Diego. My one and only complaint is that although they knew it was my friend's birthday, they did not provide a complimentary dessert as I thought was pretty customary for restaurants. Granted, she has Celiac disease (yes, legitimately), so there is unfortunately not a lot suitable for this on their dessert menu--Patrick recommended scraping off the crust, but this regrettably is not an option for people with the disease as it risks contamination, so I am going to chalk this up to being less of an oversight and more of a safety precaution they decided to do by avoiding a bday dessert altogether. I am not sure if they had ice cream or something they could have just served with a candle, but my friend felt a bit dejected. My suggestion would be to communicate these concerns rather than having her feel left out for something she can't control. Still 5 stars, though I would say 4 1/2 if that were possible on here. Again, top service otherwise and the establishment is beautiful. We will still be back!

Yelp
Lunch was great, weather was perfect and our server Kaemon was wonderful. He gave us great suggestions!

Yelp
A bit of a dud overall. I ordered the scallop for the restaurant week. We got to the restaurant at 6 pm, and got the food at 7. The scallops were kinda luke warm. It made me start wondering how long the dish took to get to me from the kitchen. And also if I am dropping $60 for a dish, I can get something better designed than scallops with black rice and edamame. The key lime pie was overwhelmingly too tart. Kinda wished there was more heavy cream used to cushion that sharp flavor. The scenery was good though...

Jeannie L.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week - nice views, nice looking restaurant. Food is just okay, I feel like it's pretty subpar compared to what you can get all around San Diego. Service was fine, there were a ton of large parties so there was a bit of lag to get to us + the timing of food was off (we received our first course, had maybe a minute to eat that before our entrees arrived). The hostess who greeted us said maybe 2 words to us so that was pretty unimpressive. Overall, in a city like SD where you have so many options, this is subpar.

Brittany A.

Yelp
It was our first time coming here, and they were extremely accommodating to our parties needs and requests. The only downside is that even though I had said in advance we were bringing a toddler, the toddler chair wasn't at our table and we had to wait for it for a while and we didn't get a child menu, we had to ask for it. BUT our server was incredible and did his best to make up for the other areas that lacked. He was very patient and helpful for us choosing our orders. The food was good but pretty average and then higher priced. The lobster Mac and cheese was alright, but there wasn't a lot of lobster present in it. The pupu platter was actually worth the price though and really good! But all other food was pretty good but nothing crazy amazing. The drink I got though was very good and I would absolutely order it again, it was called the Fleur D Lis. And finally for desserts, the homemade hot chocolate lava cake was the best part out of all!! The ambiance of the restaurant was very pretty and enjoyable to be around and if you wanted to, you could sit outside by the bay which was very relaxing. The bathrooms were clean and parking was decent for a Saturday night!

Yelp
So it's been 22 days since I was told an investigation will be conducted and a member of management will reach out to me in 14 business days. Well I've reach out and was left on read with no response. Unfortunately I thought this situation would be handled when a rep reached out to me but I guess I was wrong. I'm really big on customer service and this is unacceptable behavior ill never patronize this business again for it to be an expensive restaurant it doesn't care much about their customers choking on a straw and a bug flying around in a drink and being told it's just a fruit fly you will be okay.

Yelp
Came in for Happy Hour on a Thursday. Had not been back for years and was looking forward to it because of the past experience. Drinks were good. Ordered the Spicy Tuna Poke Stack, and Skinny Truffle fries. The Spicy Tuna Poke stack was served with taro chips. The tuna had no flavor it was not poke, it was seasoned sesame seeds. Not spicy at all. No sauce. Unless, the side of wasabi was the spice aspect? The fries, were cooked well, crispy and soft in the inside. Unfortunately, it was missing flavor, lots of it. Truffle is a strong flavor but could not taste any at all. The garlic and parmesan, it could have use more of it and maybe some salt. Fries are better at Petco Park. Our server came back to take our order before HH was over and brought us our drink orders then he disappeared. He never came back to check on us. When we were wrapping up. I noticed that another party next to us who had the same server had received their check and so I was assuming we would be next. At the end, we were waiting for almost a hour for our bill. And we had to track down our bill and go to the bar. Not sure if I want to come back. So disappointing as our past experiences were great. Maybe just a fluke?

Yelp
We stopped for brunch today ! My omelet was great sundried tomatoes with artichoke and pesto! Hubby got the French dip ! View amazing ! We used the courtesy dock ( kinda rough) for our boat.

Ali R.

Yelp
My review is solely based on the lobster bisque - it was edible but really bad! I have had lobster bisque all over San Diego and on the East Coast. This one in particular didn't taste fresh at all. It tasted the boiled sea water and old lobster . I would definitely not recommend this to anyone. Yuck

Tracy M.

Yelp
The food here today was amazing. We had mahi-mahi and halibut and my meal was prime rib. The Service was perfect. The ambience is amazing with the water and the waves hitting the shore

Adriana A.

Yelp
Beautiful dining experience at Peohe's. Our server Rachel was amazing & very attentive. We started off with the calamari & I would definitely order again. I really enjoyed the fried bell peppers that came with the calamari. For my entree, I ordered the spiced ahi and was very happy with my choice. I ordered the ahi raw & so it was lightly seared to perfection! The ginger soy sauce paired well with the wasabi cream to provide a sweet & spiciness to the dish that I am a big fan of. Overall stunning restaurant with views you cannot miss out on

Yelp
What a perfect getaway for locals and especially tourists! This lovely restaurant is situated on the most beautiful getaway Island of Coronado surrounded by glistening sparkling water which is so gorgeous, calming, and relaxing! Upon walking in the restaurant, there is a pretty rock waterfall on the right side which adds to a peaceful and tropical vibe! If you love Seafood this is your place! The menu has a wide variety of dishes to choose from for all types of palettes from Seafood to Steak, Chicken, and Pasta dishes. In this particular occasion, I just dropped in for lunch to try a grilled shrimp salad. The shrimp was fresh and flavorful. The salad was fresh as well which had mandarin oranges and candied walnuts which gave it more of an abundance of flavor! I really enjoyed the salad dressing. It was light and packed with flavor! I also asked to have a side of Balsamic to add to my salad which gave it more of a kick of flavor! The presentation of the food was a work of art! I was also served sourdough bread which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I want to add that my server was a male waiter who was on point with anything. I needed! He was friendly, professional, and pleasant! The type of service you would expect from this higher-end restaurant! It was such a perfect dining experience that I can't wait to try dinner! I recommended this place to my parents to try when they were celebrating their Anniversary. They took me up on my recommendation and went for dinner. They absolutely loved the food, ambiance,, and the view of the San Diego Bay and of the San Diego skyline at sunset! This is an absolute must try and to frequent restaurant! Tell them Carla sent you!

David M.

Yelp
Nice stop for a relaxing dinner on the island. Cocktails were delicious. Fantastic wine selection. Prices were fair. The service was exceptional. The highlight for me was the burrata and tomato salad. I went full carnivore and enjoyed a delicious cut of prime rib.

Yelp
We visit this area of Coronado from time to time, it's a nice place for our family to hang out, to walk our dog Bambam, or to Dine in this area. We've pretty much tried every restaurant around here and this time we tried this place called PEOHE'S. They have indoor and outdoor seatings, we chose the outdoor seating because we have our 18 year old dog with us. The staff is very friendly, they even provided a bowl of water for our dog Bambam. The ordering and the delivery of our food was fast. We had: *POMEGRANATE MOJITO *POEHES BENEDICT *PUPU PLATTER *STEAK & EGGS *MUD PIE I ordered a MANGO mojito, but instead the POMEGRANATE MOJITO came, but it's alright, it's still a good drink. My HUSBAND's PEOHE'S BENEDICT was delicious, there were lots of smoked Salmon on it. My son's STEAK & EGGS was the same as other steak & eggs. The meat was tender and lightly salted. And for me, I just chose the PUPU PLATTER 'coz I wasn't too hungry yet at that time, plus I wanted to try a small assortment of their foods. The PLATTER consisted of a Lobster Roll, a Shrimp Cocktail, Coconut Crunchy Shrimps, Tuna Poke Stack, and Thai Chicken Spring rolls. Among the foods on the platter, the TUNA POKE STACK was the one I liked the most. But the Lobster California roll was so dry that it felt like it wasn't fresh anymore. The Mud Pie was Small compared to other Mud pies that I've had, but still good. The Ambiance, the View, and Service was great. There's a paid parking inside the plaza where this restaurant is. The first two hours are free. There's also many side street parking outside this plaza that isn't that long of a walk from your car to the restaurant.

Linda R.

Yelp
This place is a solid three stars. The location and service is the only thing keeping this business afloat. The food is just not good. We had a large party (23) there for Mother's Day and everyone thought their food was meh. We sat in the patio area and had wonderful views of the water and the boats. Our waitress was amazing and super helpful. We loved her energy and she was very kind. I had the sundried tomato artichoke omelet. Everything was dry. The potatoes were shriveled up and the filling in the omelet was just thrown together. This was mass produced and looks like it sat under a heat lamp for quite a while. The taste was very bland. The warm bread and muffins were good. The sourdough rolls were delicious. Coffee refills took a while. We paid $20 for 4 hours of parking but I was told that nobody checks and if they do, it's not sent to the DMV and people throw away the tickets anyway. Wish I had known that before paying for my parking pass. Finding a spot wasn't an issue before noon. People were driving around looking for spots when we left.

Cynthia B.

Yelp
We ordered the clam chowder and seriously should've stopped there, and that would've been a 5 star review, BUT then we ordered the small seafood platter. Nothing on that platter was fresh. The lobster had a awful taste like soapy, and refrigerated taste so gross. The ahi tuna was inedible, so by then we decided not to eat any of the oysters, or shrimp. I did taste the crab legs and was not impressed!! Service was okay. The girl was swamped and running around, so she didn't get to our table right away. She did stop by apologize for the wait, but didn't offer us drinks until sitting there for over 15 minutes. Views were lovely!

Hien N.

Yelp
I wouldn't go for the pasta but definitely a yes for the salad. I enjoyed my wine even though my husband did not like his cocktail. Service time was long because they were changing shifts and we didn't even get all the food we ordered. Good thing about this restaurant is the view as it is phenomenal. It was a 50:50 experience for us but we will try again in the future for a second judgment.

Vicenta S.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. We started with coconut shrimp and platter of appetizers followed by Chilean sea bass and filet mignon. Thomas took care of our whole wedding party without skipping a beat. Thank you Thomas for making our dinner seamless.

Dill J.

Yelp
Beautiful interior and exterior seating with great views of the San Diego Bay. The shrimp and scallop black squid ink linguine was cooked perfectly. The scallops melts in your mouth. The shrimp cocktail sauce paired well with the jumbo shrimp. Everything we got tasted great. Professional service with our waitress being very informative of our drink pairings and attentive during our experience. A great restaurant to visit for a special occasion.

Magda G.

Yelp
We came here to take in the views of SD from Coronado. This restaurant offers beautiful views of it. There was plenty of seating so we scored windows seats. We were greeted and our server was very pleasant. He was very attentive. We had come from the beach so we ordered different plates. The calamari was ok and it was a good sized serving. I enjoyed the flavor of the rib eye. The clam chowder didn't wow me. The pupu platter had a variety of samples, good for 2 people since there are only 2 of everything. Overall the food was ok in my opinion. I would recommend this place for a quiet dinner with views.

Eva G.

Yelp
This is a prime location with beautiful views. We were entertaining a bunch of family ( 13 of us) and showing them around Coronado. We decided to stop and eat lunch at Peohe's. They accommodated us outside and it was nice because we had our own space and a beautiful view. It was a bit chilly though so they turned on the warmers. Lauralei was our server and she was pleasant. We started with... *New England Clam chowder For our entrees we chose.... *SEAFOOD COBB SALAD -Jumbo shrimp, lump crab, bacon, avocado, cucumber, carrots, tomatoes, eggs *TRUFFLE + RICOTTA PASTA -Grilled chicken or shrimp, brown butter sage, candied walnuts, parmesan cheese *LOBSTER + SHRIMP ROLL -Old Bay aioli, lettuce, toasted brioche *PEOHE'S FISH TACOS -Cajun spiced, cabbage, Jack cheese, pico de gallo, creole aioli CALIFORNIA BURGER -Pretzel bun, Jack cheese, bacon, arugula, tomato, onion, avocado Coconut Crunchy Shrimp -citrus chili, coconut cream and soy dipping sauces Fish & Chips -hand dipped beer battered fish & skinny fries We were all sampling each others entrees and all of them were yummy. I don't think there was anything we didn't enjoy. We were happy that our out of town family enjoyed their experience.

Tiana F.

Yelp
Under staffed on Fathers Day, not great. We waited forever for our food, for our water, for anything. However, it was not busy at all and seemed quite slow. The one star is for our server who had worked a double and brought the energy (I believe her name was Whitney) she was fantastic. The food was basic, nothing to write home about and definitely not worth waiting for. It is super cute inside and I really wish the aesthetics matched the actual experience.

Jeanette L.

Yelp
The food was REALLY good but service was slow. Like molasses. On top of waiting a while for our food when it finally came out the server dropped two plates. -___- more waiting to come. It's a nice restaurant in a busy area. People were walking by enjoying the day so it wasn't too awful. We just were hungry and could have had our drinks filled while we waited instead of flagging a server down each time

Cheqora L.

Yelp
Peohe's just hosted my husband's Celebration of Life. This place has amazing vibes, a beautiful view, delicious food and drinks, and most of all; over-the-top attentive staff. A huge thanks to Alisa and Sabrina for making the planning of this event run smoothly. To Darin and Derek, you outdid yourselves with taking care of me and all my guests! There were so many others who offered their heartfelt condolences. Thank you! I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be back.

Kristina N.

Yelp
Oysters were very good. Ambiance and view was beautiful. Service was honestly terrible it took over two hours for this order. We had to send back the crab legs after one bite because it was so salty fatty and tasted old. Maybe we caught this place on a bad night. Server was nice but it was noticeable he had too many tables and not enough help. Management should consider staffing the place properly

Daniel D.

Yelp
Ahhh Coronado, how I love thee for thy beaches and hotel del, but your food can be a little pricey! My wife and I went here for a lunch date on a beautiful sunny day. The parking lot is small, but there were a few 2 hour parking spots left around noon on a Saturday. The receptionist was friendly and we were seating right away (we had a reservation). Our server was very professional, prompt, and gave us good recommendations. The view of downtown was fantastic! Probably the best thing about this restaurant. The restaurant decor itself was quite modern with upscale with plenty of indoor and outside seating. They also had a Christmas tree inside, which was a nice touch Our food came out at a reasonable rate with the appetizer coming out first. The fried shrimp was cooked perfectly and were fairly large. They came with 3 dipping sauces: one was tangy and salty, one was sweat and sour, and the middle was like condensed milk. I'd say it was a little pricy at $3 a shrimp, but still good nonetheless. The pasta was handmade and very flavorful, although the shrimp needed a bit of salt. The fish and chips were crispy and moist, can't complain. French fries could have been crispier. All in all, enjoyed our lunch and would definitely recommend this place for lunch. We will definitely need to try their dinner someday.

Dahlia A.

Yelp
Worse customer service. After docking our boat behind the restaurant, my toddler told me she was hungry. We noticed the place wasn't as busy, or so we assumed since there were only a few tables on their patio that were occupied. Because of our attire (casual beach), we decided to ask for a table out in the patio where we could grab a quick bite. As we entered the restaurant, there was an older lady at the front desk. I told her we didn't have a reservation but were looking for a table in the patio. She told me she could "start a reservation" for me and that she could sit me down at 4pm, meaning we would have to wait for about 25 minutes. I said I didn't want go wait that long and asked if she had a table elsewhere that was available, but she said she didn't and that she could sit us until 4pm. I thought it was because of our attire but the gentlemen that was behind us wearing business attire was told the same thing. I don't understand how these restaurants stay in business when they keep turning people away. They were clearly not busy. We took our money elsewhere and went next door to Spiro's Greek Cafe where we enjoyed a wonderful lentil soup with pita bread on the side. It was absolutely delicious!

Hollie D.

Yelp
The ambiance is great! Fish delicious. Cocktail yummy!Service is very good! I just think it's so beautiful!

Jennifer O.

Yelp
Recently a work event brought our large group for a private dinner. We shared passed appetizers, cocktails and enjoyed the privacy of their back patio/deck area overlooking the city. (Great view!) Main courses were served buffet style - warm, delicious and fresh. Staff was efficient and attentive. look forward to returning with a smaller party in the future.

Wendy B.

Yelp
Nice waterside restaurant at the Coronado Ferry landing. Take the ferry from Broadway pier and you'll feel like it is an actual outing. The lunch menu is good and reasonable. I had the bento box coconut shrimp. Husband had Cobb seafood salad. Waiter was attentive. Bring a sweater because it sometimes can be breezy!

Melinda D.

Yelp
Great spot and gorgeous views of the city at sunset. Service is on point. Seafood is fresh and delicious.

Allison A.

Yelp
The outside view is amazing but the spicy tuna poke stack was okay. Would recommend for just drinks with a nice view.

Miecia B.

Yelp
Ambiance is a 10. Service was HORRIBLE!!! My guy lives nearby so we'd spotted this place a while ago & wanted to come back to try it. The host at the entrance wasn't there when I walked in, no one was. I waited patiently, after several minutes a woman came sauntering up the walk without any acknowledgement what-so-ever of me! None! I approached her politely to ask about putting our names in. She was rude and extremely unfriendly & overall she gave off the vibe like I was bothering her. Next we sat at the bar for drinks as we waited for our table. Here we sat 10mins or more while the initial bartender ignored us. Promising he'd assist us shortly but never did. Another bartender did jump in to help after we'd sat a while, his service was decent. Finally we are shown to our table. She starts outside on the patio and my guy says is there anything inside (as it was a bit chilly out) she said No. We sat at our table, and sat and sat and sat. Again no one ever came over to acknowledge us, let alone start an order of any kind. At this juncture my guys like let's leave. I couldn't have agreed more and finished my wine and we left post haste! Truly heartbreaking that a place this lovely would have service SO HORRENDOUS !!!! Don't Go!!!!! P. S. The ridiculous reply from the "business" below my initial review here is just to save face on Yelp.... as it's clear they don't truly care about the customers experience hence the overall rating and other reviews this place has received over time. SAD.

Kiki S.

Yelp
Usually love coming here but today was kind of a different experience. Celebrated my mother's birthday, but maybe we just chose the wrong time to do so. The blond hostess with glasses at front was a sweetheart! Reservation was for 1430. Informed we were in between transitioning from lunch to dinner and the cut off to order from the lunch menu was at 1500. That wasn't communicated to us when we made our reservation. But that was totally fine with us, as some of us wanted to order from the lunch menu while some of us wanted to order from the dinner menu. However, I felt like the delivery of the whole message could have been different. Our waitress informed us the transition from lunch to dinner would require change of server. That was totally fine with us. But it appeared to be an inconvenience to our server and she seemed checked out. But what confused us is that she remained our server, there was no change. After that interaction, service was subpar. Asking for anything felt like an inconvenience and the restaurant wasn't even busy. We also informed the waitress it was my mother's birthday. She brought out a dessert pie with nuts and dipped. The thought was appreciated but unfortunately she couldnt eat it due to the nuts. The only highlight of our experience was an African American gentleman. Bald, handsome and overall provided the best vibes and he actually greeted and wished my mom happy birthday. I honestly wished he served us instead. So final notes. Dinner is better than lunch. Bread is brought to you upon request. And drinks take forever, so be prepared.

Brittney S.

Yelp
Just left our anniversary dinner... based on the location we picked it because of the views. Our server was sweet and attentive. Food was okay, presentation could be better. We sat outside and the music choice is LOUD top 100 pop hits... very irritating when you're trying to enjoy a nice meal. Women's bathroom was disgusting- no toilet paper. We will not be coming back.

Sabena M.

Yelp
We didn't know what a treat we were in for at Peohe's. It was chosen for us by some friends because it was near the Marriott and we'd just arrived and checked in. Husband and I have a long tradition of dining at Chart House restaurants wherever we find them, and it was clear from the walking in the door that this was once a Chart House and clearly is still totally affiliated. Our meal was delicious and beautifully presented, but the service was a bit haphazard, leading to a few mixed up things delivered incorrectly. They were quickly corrected, though. The view is spectacular and it is a high-end, white table cloth style place. It is more than we normally spend but it was a very special occasion and well worth the expense.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Great place to eat in Coronado island if you're looking for a view. The menu is decently priced for its location. However, don't expect to be very impressed with the meal. It was just ok to me. The truffle pasta didn't look appetizing (see photo) It tasted alright despite being way too oily considering it was the truffle pasta. The Cobb salad is what I would recommend try the orange vinaigrette. I'm pretty sure they were short staffed so it took a while to get our drinks. But our server was great

Hanna K.

Yelp
Summary: great view, low-sodium friendly, great for special occasion, amazing staff, great surf and turf menu Visited with a large group of 8 with reservation made prior to our arrival. They sat us at the patio corner (completely covered so it is not outdoors but technically indoors) with the amazing night view. We started off with the kimchi calamari which was surprisingly amazingly good! Bursting with flavors, it was crunchy and smooth to chew. I normally don't like fusion dishes but this was great. All the seniors in our group loved it as well. The size was also really big: big enough for all 8 of us to share a good amount as an appetizer. We contemplated on ordering another one because it was so good but since we had our main courses coming, we did not. All the food orders were cooked perfectly: one of our seniors needs to eat low-sodium only and they prepared her dish right on the mark. Not salty but still flavorful. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and the sea food dishes were nice and juicy. The only thing was, one of the lava cake didn't "lava" when we cut it but they took care of that for us. Just kindly talk to your server and they will everything they can to make it better. We simply mentioned it in a laughing way (because we were recording the cut and it was anti-climactic) and wasn't really complaining about it but they still took the extra step to take care of it for us. We were one of the last tables to leave but they never rushed us and didn't even make a hint about closing. Since we were out in the patio area we didn't realize they were all cleaned up in the inside. We saw a couple of more people still talking and enjoying their wine in our area so we didn't realize how late it became. Such a nice place to enjoy your meal with your family.

Yelp
We've heard wonderful things about this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try for Easter brunch. Service was a bit a slow but to be expected as it was a holiday. All of the food we got was just okay. Ordered the PuPu platter as an appetizer. Our favorites were the ahi and shrimp cocktail. For entrees we ordered the lobster and shrimp roll, as well as the French dip. The roll had way more shrimp than it did lobster, but tasted good. As for cocktails, we tried the mojito flight. All of them tasted great but definitely on the sweeter side. I would come back here for happy hour with a view.

Yelp
Today I went with my family for dinner, after two years since last time there when we booked it for my son's baptism. Gentlemen wearing formal suit who I assume he's a manager or something at the entrance repeatedly kept asking us of we're aware of the menu. I was surprised to ask this right at the entrance, and he kept referring to the menu obviously to ensure we are aware of the prices! Because another family standing behind us he didn't treat them in the same way or talked to them about the menu! Obviously this unprofessional, and I don't want to use the word discriminating! The food was great as much as the service, prices reasonable for the location. David did a great job as our waiter. It's just that guy's behavior that ruined the whole experience, which is very sad!

Yelp
I am deeply disappointed to share my recent experience at Peohe's, a place my family and I have frequented for years without issue. This past Saturday however, was unacceptable. Despite having a reservation for 8 PM, made three weeks in advance, we arrived 15 minutes early only to be kept waiting for an additional 45 minutes. During this time, we tried to have a drink at the bar, where the bartender was noticeably rude to us. Moreover, a larger party that arrived after us was seated before we were, despite our prior reservation. This party was treated markedly different, suggesting a bias that was both shocking and hurtful given our history with the establishment. When we expressed our concerns, both the hostess and the manager were unhelpful and lacked any form of empathy. Also, they told me good luck getting reservations on a busy Saturday night. Little did they know the Italian restaurant next door took us in within 10 minutes after waking in. Given this experience, I cannot recommend Peohes. The scenic views might be compelling, but they are overshadowed by the poor treatment we received. It is crucial for hospitality venues to treat all patrons with respect and dignity, something that was sorely lacking in our visit. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements changes to ensure no one else has to endure what we did. My family and I will never go back to this establishment.

Yelp
My friends and I were total of four came here for an early dinner 6-22-24. Inside a water cascade beautiful fountain, and beautiful bay windows for great views. There is outside patio seating but to ensure that you get one. you may have to RSVP. Inside however, they're is no bad seating but my fav is by the window looking over the bay toward downtown. We were serviced by a very polite waitress who was more than pleasant. The only issue that I had was that we had ordered sushi and a starter, and only one starter of coconut shrimp came out and by the time our two sushi plates came out our entree food was one second behind it. Had we known we'd be waiting so long for those we would have just skipped sushi starters. Other than that, the food was very good. I enjoyed the sesame crusted salmon which was drizzled with a light teriyaki sauce over a bed of rice and sautéed zucchini. My friends enjoyed their meals as well as the coconut shrimp. The sushi rolls one spicy tuna and the other salmon were good as well. Complementary they give you fresh sourdough rolls with unsalted butter sprinkled with a little Himalayan salt. It was delicious and hot out the oven. Compliments to the kitchen chef but the sushi chefs need a little work on timing as we were there long enough to go through two baskets of bread slowly lol nevermind sushi is cold and raw no cooking required. Other than that, I would highly recommend this restaurant for dinner.

Yelp
Top notch restaurant. The view and ambiance were amazing. Definitely very pricey but it was so delicious. First off, the bread was freshly baked for the table. The appetizers came out prompt and they waited for ample time to bring out the entrees. It was some of the best fish I have had in a long time. The halibut was insane with the sauce and bananas it came with. This is the spot for a high class dinner.

Yelp
The interior is quite beautiful. Though it is loud inside, it would be quite a romantic place to bring a loved one for a romantic dinner. The cocktail sizes are generous and the food is delicious. Carlos, the bartender will make you very happy. Our server, Kara, was amazing! Highly recommended!

Yelp
I've been going to Peohe's since it opened years ago. The service has always been an issue, but that view always draws me back! No more! Last night, happy hour, my best friend & I met there. They dropped water right away. We waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come over & take our drink order. I ordered a Lemon Drop with Kettle One. When another 15 went by, we tracked her down & she said they ran out of Kettle One & they had someone go out to get more!! What ⁉ When she finally brought the drinks , she gave my friend & I the same drink, I ordered a Lemon Drop, remember!! We ordered 4 appetizer's to share, they came out in good time and were very good! After eating, we ordered another round of drinks and it took another 15 minutes and we were sitting in the bar!!! Note: it was not busy! I asked the bartender why it was taking so long & asked him if he could make us our drinks, he said he needed the order to come from our waitress I am not kidding here! We'll stick with Il Fornaio, next door, same view! We usually go there, but ........ There are many fabulous restaurants in Coronado, go anywhere else!

Yelp
Peohe's is o e of our favorite spots. They never disappoint and this time was no exception to the rule. Chef Elsa was amazing! She personally came out to adapt the menu to my allergies. Because of her I had food I would not have considered. Kaylee was our waitress. The two of the are quite the dynamic duo. Kaylee was kind, knowledgeable and attentive. This time I ordered the coconut shrimp; which was great but the sauce was literally "drinkable"!! They need to bottle and sell it. Next time you drop in, ask for the coconut shrimp with their coconut sauce. Wow! Who knew, a botanical garden by the ocean with food to match. Keep up the great work Peohe's.

Yelp
The food was okay. I had the salmon and it definitely had taste although it wasn't delicious. The California rolls were good. I had the Bento box and it felt like it was missing food. The portions were very small. The view was amazing! We went outside to take pictures and enjoy the view. The restaurant was spotless and there's plenty of parking but you may have to pay. I probably won't be back. I have to say I was not impressed.

Yelp
We didn't have reservations so were asked to wait for 20 minutes. No big deal. We just took the ferry over so there was plenty to look at while we waited. Looking back on it though, I had wished, and wondered why we weee not offered to sit inside for a drink while we waited. The place was pretty dead... except for the " banquet". Once we were seated our food must have taken at least an hour to come out. It was painful. No one checked on us to offer another drink, or fill the waters. Once the food had arrived one plate was completely wrong, and a "well done" kids burger was medium rare. Disappointed to say the least, but again, no big deal just make it right. Another server brought the food back out and he was fine, but we never saw our original server again. Instead some other guy took over, and when we asked if everything was ok, he replied "she's in training" and walked off!!! He didn't offer anything except for an obvious glare over the shoulder when he walked away. Everyone at the table was shocked, because we never had been treated like this and are not tuff customers. It was awkward enough that my wife had to tell me to stop because I thought we were going to physically fight. The hell? I'm here to show my in-laws a good time, and now I'm going to trade blows with the stand in waiter. He kept coming back and trying to get me to react even while we were leaving, asking if he could fill my water, after the check was paid, and we were walking out. I hat a prize. Anyway this place sucks. Look under the salt shaker.

Yelp
Wonderful dinner! Husband and I took the ferry over to Coronado and got to our reservation in time. We enjoyed the ambiance and food. Our server, Justin, was great and really friendly. I watched him take care of a table of older women, and he was so kind and seemed so genuine. Nothing was forced at all- as even after they Had paid and were walking out, he was bantering with them and they were just laughing and laughing. Our meal was beautiful. I realize it's probably not super classy to snap pics of your meals, but art is art! Everything was cooked perfectly and we truly enjoyed our much needed date night.
