"Homemade Pasta and Italian Classics There are times when only a bowl of pasta will do, and those are the times to head straight for Pepe Nero, with its romantic orange-tree courtyard for alfresco eats and warren of more-intimate dining rooms. Note, the latter can sometimes feel a bit cut off from the main hub, so it’s arguably a better summer jaunt, but you can’t knock the food. Chef Khalid Robazza Essafa makes all his own pasta. The roast veal agnolotti (stuffed pasta squares similar to ravioli) is sensational, asis the lasagnaand theeggplant Parmesan. The king prawn risotto has earned Essafa a devoted, local fan base, although out-of-towners have been known to rave about his tandem Moroccan menu, too."

Great restaurant! Fresh and delicious foods, excellent service with english speaking staff. Serves wine / alcoholic beverages. Upscale atmosphere with beautiful inner courtyard. Prices compared to others in Morocco expensive, expect to pay European prices for food and drinks.

The best Italian food I have ever had . The ravioli was so delicious and melting in my mouth. And the ambience is excellent with good music . It's a 5 star place I would rate this

Wow this place is incredible. Wonderful staff and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back one day. Highly recommend!

The exquisite setting, in a spectacular Riad courtyard makes up for the mis-steps in other areas. The food is good - as is the service - But overall in our opinion both are a little heavy-handed, and for the high price both could easily be finessed to become a little more sophisticated. Though regardless this restaurant is well worth a visit.

After 6 days in Marrakech I was looking for something different for an evening meal and our hotel recommended Pepe Nero which was nearby. This was the best meal by far in Marrakech to date. I've been traveling a lot in South America, Europe and Asia in the last 6 months and this ranks right at the top of the restaurants I've dined in in that period. Every dish we had was great but the lamb especially was delicious. All the staff we engaged with were professional and engaging but Mr Rabie was a delight. The atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent even though we weren't in the main courtyard. We were lucky to get a table without booking and I'd recommend you book in advance as the restaurant filled up after we sat down. The price of the meal was very reasonable for the quality of the food, the setting and the service we received. Well worth a visit.

Very hidden restaurant on the southeastern side of the Medina. We walked zigzag through some tiny alleys to get there. Very beautiful place with great service. Our waiter Mr Khalid was very attentive, friendly, professional, multilingual. We enjoyed Buffalo Mozzarella Eggplant, Agnolotti which were rather large, Chicken Tajine which was good but nothing special and the Spider Crab Soup which indeed was fantastic. Definitely a place worth having dinner when in Marrakech.

Pepe Nero is hands down one of the best restaurants we’ve ever visited, not just in Marrakech but anywhere! The location itself is stunning—beautiful architecture, a peaceful courtyard, and a magical ambiance that sets the tone for a perfect evening. But what truly made our visit unforgettable was Mr. Rabie. He is an absolute legend—real salt of the earth! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel so welcome and at ease. He was chatty, kind, and genuinely interested in making sure we had the best experience possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and he took so much time to check in with us throughout the evening to make sure everything was perfect. The food? Impeccable. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed full of flavor—easily one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. But what made it even more special was Mr. Rabie’s attentive and warm service. It felt like being looked after by an old friend. If you’re in Marrakech and want an incredible dining experience, look no further than Pepe Nero. And if you’re lucky enough to be served by Mr. Rabie, you are in for a treat. We’ll be back for sure. Absolutely recommend!

A stunning building with breathtaking interiors. The food was good, we were warmly welcomed with an amuse-bouche, and the service provided by Mr. Khalid was prompt and impeccable. Highly recommended!
