I stumbled across Pepe’s by accident last month and have since been back a total of 7 times. Twice for breakfast and the other times for lunch. Al fresco dining, parking can be tight but if you go through the drive thru, it’s fast. Loaded breakfast burrito in massive and delicious! Ham, bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, cheese, lettuce tomato and salsa. Sooo good!! Everything I’ve had for lunch is amazing. Carne Asada fries, tacos, burritos, everything is so fresh and yummy. Reasonably priced too!

Here’s a review based on your experience: Fantastic Birthday Celebration at Pepe’s! I had an amazing time celebrating my birthday at Pepe’s Finest Mexican Food! The atmosphere was great, and the staff made it even more special. I ordered the chicken and rice plate, and it was delicious—tender chicken and perfectly seasoned rice. The menu has so many great options, from classic favorites to unique dishes, making it hard to choose! The food was fresh, flavorful, and filling. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal in a cozy spot! Finest Mexican food since 1962. They have 8 locations: Alhambra , Downey, West Covina, Brea, Fullerton, Temple City, Chino & Baldwin park Here’s a review focusing on your chicken plate experience: Delicious Chicken Plate at Pepe’s! Enjoying a fantastic chicken plate at Pepe’s Finest Mexican Food! The chicken is perfectly grilled, juicy, and full of flavor, and the rice is seasoned just right. The portion size is generous, and the side of beans adds a nice touch. It’s clear that everything is made with care and high-quality ingredients. Pepe’s is definitely a go-to spot for delicious, authentic Mexican food. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Love the delicious food and fast and efficient service here! The dining area is outside. It’s not fancy but there’s plenty of seating! Good place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner! It’s been around as long as I have been on this earth. It’s a very stable and consistent Restaurant! You really can’t go wrong here. I recommended highly!

Looking for a real Mexican food restaurant in LA, we were very excited to try, food is good, but a lot of flour tortillas for my taste ( I like corn better) and it misses. A bit of spice. Nice experience overall but we were expecting more.

Google
Very busy but well worth the wait if you like fast Mexican food!! My wife loves the nachos with chicken, no green sauce, and Jalapeños. My go-to is the OG Bean and Cheese burrito. There is lots of red sauce!!! The kiddos love the nachos, tacos, and the kids' bean and cheese!! The staff work hard and fast, and the food is always consistent and good!!! If you want to sit and dine at the location, parking can be tough but doable. Overall, it's a great place for lunch if you're passing through!!!

Google
Love this place! I've been coming here since I was little. Everything is so yummy! Love their loaded nachos and fries! All their burritos, bomb! Lol taquitos and hard shell tacos with guacamole, yummy! Even their bean and cheese burrito, one of my favorites! Had taquitos to start lol so hungry, didn't take a pic. Then, I started on this huge breakfast burrito, barely got halfway.. saving it for later😋 Can't forget their green salsa, I put it on everything! 🤗😉 This location is the best! Their staff are always nice, the service is quick and it's well kept, it hasn't changed! Love it lol

Google
The lady would not give me chili peppers. She said that they charge for them. I’ve received them several times from this location and have never been charged. The Covina location has them out with the hot sauce and you serve yourself. I’ve never been to a restaurant where they charge you for the little yellow peppers.

Yelp
Pepe's Finest Mexican Food truly lives up to its name. The title says it al...it is hands down the best chicken burrito I've ever had. Flavorful, fresh, and perfectly made. Just enough cilantro and onions too. I can't recommend it enough. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this hidden gem luckily it's a chain fast food joint so it's in a lot of cities. Service is always great. Very friendly staff and very quick delivery. Salsa is also a huge hit. Red is spicier than green.

Yelp
Hangry. Needed Mexican food, fast. I had to cancel a Grubhub order because it was sent somewhere else and hubs wanted Mexican food so I wanted to try this place again. I've gone here before, maybe 2-3 years ago, it is located on Valley blvd across a tiny Sam Woo. It is NOT a date place, but it was convenient during the pandemic because it was outdoors and they had these little tables and chairs. This place has a quaint little drive-thru - which is basically 2 service windows, one on either side of the building. It's a good option from the usual big fastfood chain restaurants. You make a U in the parking lot behind and go back to the other side of the small building to retrieve the order. I waited maybe 5-7 mins for my order by the second window. A dude hands me a bag after asking if I needed sauces. I wanted to know which is which but he had already left the window. When I got home, I thought they messed up my order because I ordered a (asada) burrito, chilaquiles burrito for hubs and a quesadilla for the kiddo. After hubs polished the big plate did I realize that I ordered the wet burrito and we swapped orders. I was mad cause I wanted steak. It would help if the person who handed me the food explained what items were in the bag in which order and container. Anyway. the chilaquiles burrito started getting bland halfway. Hubs said the wet burrito was peppery. I guess that's better than no flavor.

Yelp
Ordered take out on 11/06/24 and ate at home. I have been coming here for years and it doesn't disappoint when you crave something greasy and delicious. I always order the large carne asada fries and they do give you a lot. You can definitely share the large fries. The fresh guacamole and pico de gallo mixed with the carne asada and fries tastes great each time! You have to add both green and red sauce as well. My only small complaints are the 3% credit card fee and sometimes the fries have just been sitting out there, so you may get cold soggy fries.

Sophia W.

Yelp
If you're in the area and wanting some quick and hassle free food look no more. Service was awesome! Simple exterior seating for you to enjoy your meal :)

Yelp
Been eating at Pepe's for decades! A staple eatery in Alhambra that has served many of my friends and family since the 80s. The quality has changed over the years as does all long standing establishments but it's still a Mexican favorite among us who grew up in the area. My go to menu items here are the carnitas dorados tacos, machaca anything and can't go wrong with breakfast items. Just grabbed some brunch tacos son I'm dropping a review after all these years to continue supporting them. Quick, cheap and dirty eats!

Yelp
This is my favorite Pepe's location. They take both card and cash. There will be a 3% fee on card transactions. Wet Burrito was pretty loaded and large! I loved that they pair it with lettuce and pico de gallo it adds some freshness to the plate. Their soft tacos are packed and they don't skim on filling them. The tortilla is soft and flavorful but not too greasy. You also can't go wrong with their hard taco, who doesn't like deep fried foods?! I haven't found any other taco spots that offer hard tacos that are freshly fried when you order it. I love their Asada Fries, might just be all the other stuff they also fry in the same oil but the fries have so much flavor. Then topped with pico de gallo, guac, sour cream and cheese. My favorite meat is the carnitas, so much flavor but not too much fat to meat ratio. Also the slight fat gives off a crisp texture that adds depth. If you come late at night close to closing time they might have ran out of carnitas, has happened to me a few times. The al pastor is tender and juicy. Asada was also tender. Don't recommend their taquitos at all, very very dry and way too hard (extremely passed crispy).

Erica F.

Yelp
Came here for the first time. This is like an outdoor food stand with outdoor seating. Drive thru is also available. Order carne asada fries, and a carne asada mulita. We took the food to go. The the food was sad as the fries was not fully cooked and it was cold. The fries also had a lack of favor, which I had to recook the meal on my own and adding more spice to it. The mulita was decent. Both items had a lot of cilantro that has a strong smell that I did not feel comfortable with. I will not come back again. Only street parking is available.

Jessica L.

Yelp
If you haven't tried this place, Then who are you! These men and woman have aways had a smile on their face every time I come here. I have been coming here over 20 years and they always get it right. There is music they play in the back for the workers and it always seem so fun to work in there. I don't know why I haven't left a review. Wait I know, cause I eat the food faster than I can type. I got a carne asada burrito today and it went from my elbow all the way to near my wrist. It was huge, heavy and packed with meat. The food is always so good and not dry like its been sitting there. Hearing the music and smelling the food cooking reindeer me of home. Mom cooking in the kitchen with salsa music playing in the background. You gotta try this, you won't regret it.

Nelson H.

Yelp
If Pepe's keeps its strict 2 Salsa Limit, then I'm not going there anymore. Period. I'll happily skip Pepe's! Without Red & Green Salsas the burritos will be dry and tasteless. Your burritos are not God's gift, you NEED lots of salsas or there's nothing to talk about. Don't get too cocky with your cost-cutting Pepe's, there are other options out there. Also, if you start charging more, I'm gone too. Here's me trying to get by with 6 Salsas and I'm not done with the burrito yet!

Yelp
Pepe's Drive-Through has cracked the code for mouthwatering chicken tacos. Let's break it down: The chicken in these tacos is no ordinary fast-food filler. It's tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. You'd think they had a secret chicken whisperer in the kitchen. Pepe's proves that great taste doesn't have to break the bank. These tacos are a steal for the price. You get more than your money's worth. Unlike some other places, Pepe's taco shells don't swim in oil. They're crisp, light, and let the chicken shine. Pepe's Drive-Through isn't fancy--it's casual, quick, and efficient. You roll up, place your order, and within minutes, you're savoring those unforgettable chicken tacos. No frills, just flavor. Ignore the naysayers complaining about prices. When you take that first bite, you'll understand. The quality speaks for itself it is different than other fast food spots. Pepe's knows how to do Mexican food right, without the unnecessary fluff. Pepe's Drive-Through is proof that good food doesn't need a Michelin star. It's where flavor meets affordability. So next time you're craving chicken tacos, skip the overpriced joints and head straight to Pepe's. You won't regret it!

Nicole L.

Yelp
TLDR: The food can be plain, but you can just keep adding salsa until it's flavorful enough. The portion sizes are not very big unless you get the large asada fries or nachos. Breakfast is always a good choice. Be wary of plates or things with hard shells that can get soggy. Drinks are on the sweeter side. There are a couple parking spots in the back of the building, but the main draw of this place is definitely the drive thru. The staff here are all really nice. They're polite and really quick at making everything. Do you ever just go somewhere so often that you stop taking pictures of how amazing the food looks because it feels a bit redundant? As a long time customer, I've tried a pretty large percentage of the menu. I have to admit that the food here is really hit or miss. As far as I can tell, all the food is really plain if you don't use the green or red salsas. You NEED the salsas. The green one is usually not spicy at all, but the red one really builds up with each bite. The items that have me coming back are the Carne Asada Fries, soft tacos, and breakfast items. The fries come with so many things on top--pico de gallo, avocado, cheese, meat, and possibly sour cream and mayo. I'm pretty sure they give one or two whole avocados with each order because the sheer amount of avocado is absolutely insane. The soft tacos are on the smaller side, so you can get more than you usually would. They're always cooked to perfection too. I really like how the tortilla isn't too thick, which normally gives tacos a dry taste. I don't think you can go wrong with breakfast food. Who doesn't love the taste of eggs, potatoes, and chorizo? Mm! Delicious! The tortas here are pretty good as well, but I don't get them very often. I'm really not a big fan of the plates, sopes, or nachos they have. Some of the plates have looked very sad. The boxes they use may be a bit too big for the order because it always sort of looks one-third empty. Don't hate me, but I'm not a big fan of corn or masa, which is probably why I don't love the sopes. The nachos just get soft so quickly and then they're kind of hard to scoop when the chips are soft. It's not easy to reheat in case you don't finish them either. The flavor is the same as the fries, so just get the fries. The horchata here is pretty good. I do think it's a bit sweet and a bit more watery than creamy, but it's good overall. The Jamaica is delicious. I love it. It's not too sour like Jamaica usually is, which is nice~

Yelp
I'm fairly new to Yelp, and my grandson helped me write this review. Last night, we were craving Mexican food so tired of Thanksgiving leftovers! I decided to go through the drive-thru, and a kind, energetic young man took my order. While I wish there was an option to leave a tip on the debit card (aside from the small 3% fee), I still want to highlight the fantastic service and food! The al pastor burrito, recommended by Christia (whose name was on the receipt), was an 8/10 absolutely delicious! Our whole family loved the meal, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you, Christia, for the excellent recommendation and service!

Joshua H.

Yelp
If you're looking for satisfying Mexican food in Alhambra, Pepe's Tacos is a solid choice. I tried the carne asada fries, and they were bomb -- generous portions with flavorful, tender meat, crispy fries, and all the toppings you'd hope for. The loaded tacos, whether with Al Pastor or Asada, were equally impressive. The guacamole added a creamy, refreshing touch that complemented the savory meats perfectly.

Sal D.

Yelp
Let me start by saying food overwhelms the price, you get your money's worth. The chicken guacamole taquitos is a must, add to your order. I personally ordered the pepe's wet burrito, didn't not regret at all, big serving. The only negative thing I have to say is the eating area has a bad street smell, idk if homeless people sleep there overnight. But seems like drive thru keeps very busy. Will certainly be back.

Julian B.

Yelp
the food was lacking in flavor and mid. the fries were lacking a lot of flavor. it was just ingredients put together. they're also super stingy with the cheese in the asada fries. the torta was also mid. they're SUPER stingy with the carnitas. it was like a layer of carnitas and and a bunch of tomato and lettuce. and last, they forgot an entire item on my order. i don't recommend this spot.

Jerry P.

Yelp
Ordered burrito no rice ,, got home, burrito had extra rice. Pepe's is overrated Never again, can't get order correct

Kenneth S.

Yelp
Good food and service that you will get ordering from Pepe's. We came in on 6-5-24 and ordered the Asada Fries which are packed and really good. Nice location, found parking on the street. You will probably have to wait a few minutes to getting your food because they are packed with a line ordering and drive thru but worth it.

Leslie R.

Yelp
Was there today around 7pm & as I was eating I bit into this tooth pick that was inside my food! It was hidden in the food & wasn't visible at all. That is a safety hazard & could've gone worse but I immediately felt the sting on my mouth as I was chewing! They need to do better because this is un acceptable

Marilyn K.

Yelp
The best Mexican food!!!! Absolutely my favorite, from the chicken enchiladas to the green chili burrito, the food is fresh and delicious. It's always crowded, but they somehow get your food to you fast and hot! Wonderful food and a great staff. A classic!!!

Bernadette G.

Yelp
I ordered my food, it didn't come how I ordered it so I returned it and they were very rude about it, so my new burrito that was suppose to be very light on beans know came with extra beans and about 3 pieces of meat, she was so mad that she had to make my burrito over, I felt so uncomfortable after that, I will never go back be cause of her, I belive since we pay good money for our food we should get what we pay for, never again, not because of the food but because of the service.

Jim O.

Yelp
I really like the consistency of the quality of your food and the taste, and the service is always friendly, and I get to sit and relax eating in the patio. No place has the Green Chili that Pepe's has for their Chili Fries with Cheese, which I need to order at every visit.

L W.

Yelp
Place used to be pretty good but now they changed to cheaper ingredients and skimp on sauces. Service is quick with the drive thru unless you order through a delivery app- in which they will forget and usually you'll have to call customer service. Asked for extra one salsa and they can only give 2 for two large plates of food LOL. What a joke. Never again, lost my business.

Angie T.

Yelp
The quality went how hill the filling of my breakfast burrito was so empty got a lot of extra tortillas skin no harsh brown nor sausage very disappointed never going back again

Lily M.

Yelp
My go to spot for carne asada fries, it's just so perfect every single time! Love that they give you sauces plentiful and aren't stingy at all! The only thing I would change is the guacamole. It's not that flavorful and lacks in my opinion. I like that you can use the drive thru or walk up options! Just be cautious because it gets packed and parking sucks! Other than that it's a must try!

Kelly L.

Yelp
Prices have gone up and only after looking at my receipt did I see the added service charge for using a credit card. If you are going to add service fees you need to post a sign and not just charge customers a hidden fee. There is no visible sign near the drive thru window or sign.

Ernesto C.

Yelp
The burritos were cold the carne asada tasted reheated. they don't know how to roll burritos, every bite you take you gotta keep wrapping it because they don't fill up their tortillas just get smaller ones if you're not allowed to roll it nicely. The guacamole is the worst I've had from a restaurant I'm prety sure it was frozen which isn't a problem but it tasted like they added lettuce or cabbage? It has crunchy bites and it had a strong smell of it. So bland no seasoning just very watery and crunchy and who displays their guacamole with chips and gives you none?? Very disappointed because the Pepe's is Downey is delicious! Including their guacamole, make the trip to Downey

Anthony L.

Yelp
Amazing food and service plenty of parking on street or parking lot. Outdoor seating. Noisy as you're sitting outside and very clean. Love this place. Highly recommend.

Dalana C.

Yelp
Love them. Always so delicious, friendly, generous, and budget friendly! They are the best. My fave orders are taquitos, burritos, and fries with a half half salsa verde chicken and carne asada.

Dan L.

Yelp
Giving this place a three star not for their food as it has always been good. I'm giving them three stars because today I ordered the # 5. One enchilada, one taco, rice and beans and choice of flour or corn tortilla. The server said that it didn't include a tortilla. When I pointed out the menu, he said his point of sale didn't have a button for the tortilla. Then, there's a sign that credit card fees are 3%. Ok so I will use my debit card. Charged $1.75 for tortilla and .71 cents for using my debit card. Very deceiving and frankly just not right.

Yen L.

Yelp
Pepe's has been a part of my life since elementary school, and I can never find another place to replace it. It's a landmark in Alhambra and a treasured location in my community. It's a fast-food Mexican place that warms your soul and lifts you up on a gloomy day. My go-to all these years has been the chili cheese fries. Pepe's introduced me to their chili cheese fries, and I am forever attached. I can never eat them anywhere else because it's my first experience. It's not your traditional chili cheese, and that's what makes it special, and it's what I've come to love. Pepe's is a place of tradition for me, and I'm glad its recipe has never changed. I'm always happy to be back and eating a hearty plate of chili cheese fries.

Mia D.

Yelp
I got the Machaca breakfast burrito to eat at home. When I was eating it my hands were very greasy. I only ate half of it and decided to leave the other half on a strainer on my kitchen counter. To my surprise, there is a lot of grease that was captured in the cup. Im shocked and not ever eating here again.

Mila M.

Yelp
I went there today for tacos for my husband but when I arrived, I thought I could surprise him with one of the many combination plates on their extensive menu. I asked Monique, the waitress, what she would suggest and she recommended a new item on the menu she's sure we would like. I took her advice and ordered it to go. I'm glad I did because when I got home to share it with my husband, he said it's excellent and definitely worth the $40 price before tax and tip. I will definitely be back to try other items, hopefully getting Monique with her friendly smile and efficient service to serve us again.

Oscar N.

Yelp
There was a mistake and they forgot my burrito and repaid me with an extra one for free! People make mistakes and they apologized. Also the burritos are always amazing!!

Sayra E.

Yelp
Our go to order at Pepe's are the carne asada fries, without pico de gallo! The portion is big enough to share with another person. We usually order and eat there to prevent the fries from being too soggy . The fries never disappointment! They always satisfy our savory tooth, especially after a night out. The drive thru line is very full sometimes. I always recommend parking and ordering at the window as it is faster. The restaurants outdoor and very simple. The service is always fine to us, for a take out establishment!

Thomas H.

Yelp
I used to love coming here, but sadly, this place has gone downhill. The food used to be amazing, but now the quality just isn't the same. The portions seem smaller than they used to be. What's even more disappointing is the price hike--they've gotten way too expensive for what you get. It's such a shame because this was one of my go-to spots. I hope they can turn things around, but for now, I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. Edited to add: beware the 3% credit card processing fee, on top of the hiked prices. Yikes!

E. C.

Yelp
Good Basic Mexican food for takeout. Outside patio, drive thru or order at window in patio.

Jayleen A.

Yelp
Food is delicious but a guy at the drive through told me taquitos and tacos were the same thing and I told him they were because I didn't order taquitos. Not sure what's going on because that's gonna mess up some people's orders if people don't know what food is what. Hope they figure it out.

Mike M.

Yelp
I didn't want to write a review because I wanted to give them a chance, but I've had enough. I spent $55 and ended up throwing most of it away. I ordered 4 soft tacos and 2 hard tacos. The tacos were done correctly, but the other items were completely wrong. I ordered asada nachos with guacamole, and on the side, I asked for just the chips, meat, and shredded cheese. When I got home, I found that there were beans, sour cream, and tomatoes on it, which made the chips soggy and inedible. Now for the breakfast burrito--this is probably the worst one I've ever had. I can't believe they ruined a breakfast burrito. I remembered that the last time I ordered, it came with beans, so I specifically asked for no beans this time. When I got it, there were no beans, but they added rice. On top of that, it was prepared wet burrito style with sauce and melted shredded cheese. I had planned to save it for the morning and eat it while driving to work. How am I supposed to do that? The salsa ruined the entire thing. They use fillers like beans and rice in everything to create the illusion of a bigger portion.

Sandy C.

Yelp
We come here at least twice each month. We LOVE their carnitas and asada. You should give it a try of their nacho fries with carnitas - probably the best I ever had. If you love spicy, ask for habanero sauce, it compliments/cut the grease of the meat and completes the dish. Their drive through is more convenient in this location. Parking could be challenging and only outdoor seating. They have a huge menu and varieties of things to choose from so definitely worth a few trips to try and find your favorite.

Nguyen T.

Yelp
If you're a local in the 626, you've probably heard about Pepe's as the go-to spot for many. I finally had the chance to try their burritos, and I was not let down. Worth the hype and it's convenient that they have an option where you can order through drive-thru.

Alisa M.

Yelp
I got a breakfast burrito here recently and it was good, very big portions, and tasty. This is your typical fast Mexican food place that has everything and anything you could want. Prices are average but for the portion it's a good deal. You can drive through or dine in. Don't expect anything fancy but it's perfect for when you're extra hungry

Ron R.

Yelp
This was the second time to go to Pepe's. The first time my wife, who is of a different ethnicity from me, ordered. This time when I tried to order they basically refused me service clearly due to race despite the fact that I did and said absolutely nothing to them and just wanted some food. We will not go back here again and recommend you only eat here if you are Hispanic and speak Spanish.

Charito G.

Yelp
They were super busy but we also went on a Saturday morning. If ur looking for fast and greasy this is ur place. We ordered a huevos rancheros and two different types of burritos. They were just alright. And heads up no coffee.

Frank Z.

Yelp
Used to be great. They will no longer allow substitutions or changes. For years I have ordered Sonora Nachos but with fries and they were great. They will no longer make this even though I offered to pay the additional cost of the fries. They refused and explained, "nachos are nachos and fries are fries, so you can't order nachos and ask for fries." The service isn't what it used to be, whoever they have taking orders now is lost. I miss the old staff. Never coming back here again. I wish Rincon Taurino was closer.

Luke L.

Yelp
Pepe's Finest Mexican Food stands out as one of the few Mexican establishments in Alhambra, apart from Taco Bell, that offers a convenient drive-thru service. This walk-up and drive-thru food shack holds a special place in the San Gabriel Valley (SGV), being one of the oldest Mexican eateries in the area since 1962. In addition to this location, Pepe's has other locations in Baldwin Park, Hacienda Heights, and Hawaiian Gardens. [Parking]: The options are somewhat limited. A handful of private parking spaces can be found through the back alley, but the best bet is to seek street parking. Customers might need to search for an available street parking spot a block away due to the occasional high demand. [Drive-thru]: The entrance can be a bit awkward, positioned off Valley Blvd. During busy lunch hours, it's common for cars to obstruct a portion of the main road causing some inconvenience. [Menu]: Upon my first visit, I encountered a brief moment of confusion when I ordered a breakfast burrito from the cashier. She asked, 'Wet or dry breakfast burrito?' It turns out that Pepe's breakfast burrito is a wet burrito with one of three meat options - bacon, sausage, and ham as fillings. Additionally, their menu features an array of combo plates, including enchiladas, taquitos, tacos, chili relleno, carnitas/chicken/shredded beef/al pastor/carne asada/red or green chili pork, and more. *** Pepe's Breakfast Burrito (wet burrito with bacon - $10.49): The portion size was truly impressive, providing enough leftovers for lunch. It was a classic LA burrito, generously packed with beans and potatoes. If you're a blue-collar worker in need of a high-calorie breakfast, this burrito is the way to go. #8 Two Hard Tacos (can only pick one meat - carnitas, $10.99): While the tacos were not necessarily outstanding, the portion size remained unbeatable. The rice, beans, cheese, and avocado all came separately from the tacos. The red sauce provided was extremely spicy and too overpowering for my taste buds to handle. *** All in all, Pepe's Finest Mexican Food delivers great value with its 3.5-star food. It's the kind of place where I can envision myself returning when I'm seeking a typical, standard, and somewhat satisfying Mexican food in Alhambra, without having to break the bank.

Yelp
05/17/2023 Dropped by today to pick up dinner I went to the drive through. I ordered a Bean & Cheese Burrito and a Chile relleno/ Hard Beef Taco combo plate with all Beans, No Rice. In all my years of coming here, they never messed up my order once. My burrito was pippin hot filled up with refried beans and gooey cheese oh so good. The Chile relleno plate was for my mom, sorry I should have taken pictures. My friend doesn't have this kind of luck. They see his face and say we gonna mess up his order. LOL he told me last time Pepe's messed up his order 3 times before they got it right. Serves him right he's a picky ass fool, he orders a Chicken Wet Burrito with the guacamole and the chips on the side. So the employee's have to do more work. Any way this review is not about him, it's about the great service I get from Pepe's Finest Mexican Food in Alhambra.

Yelp
I grew up with this place so coming here always gives me a sense of nostalgia. Here's some pros and cons: Pros: - Food quality is the same as I've always remembered it to be - Red and green sauces are the best if you want that extra spice - Drive thru is convenient - Chili cheese fries and carne asada fries are both great as hangover food. Mix them before you eat so the cheese will melt with the fries Cons: - Limited parking: There's about 3 parking spots in the back that gets surrounded by the drive thru lane - Drive thru tends to be a little slow and narrow, walk-up is faster. (When it gets busy, the cars will be on the busy streets of Valley Blvd) - The beef on the carne asada fries are dry
