Pepitas Vegan Taqueria

Long time customer here and honestly I had a nightmare of an experience today. It seems there’s a new manager who has a large amount of prejudice in body. I have always enjoyed coming to this restaurant and today I was mocked, cheated, and disrespected on a level that can never be corrected. The individual first attempted to declined my Groupon voucher and after speaking for a few moments decided to accept it. His tone was very belittling and his demeanor displayed an individual fueled by anger and hatred. He mentioned the store manager Angel and said he doesn’t honor them but I have a relationship with Angel who is the polar opposite of this inappropriate man. Angel is loving, kind, and full of respect. As the man attempted to lie to my face, I felt my heart sink to the floor. I knew I could never shop or do business with this establishment again. To reinforce this decision, the poorly behaved man / manager gave me little to no food and this is not an exaggeration. The nachos were missing beans, the Birria protein portion was so small, and our Tres Leches size was so laughable that I took a moment to enjoy it to subside the amount of pain, prejudice, and disrespect I felt at that moment. While I have loved this place to my heart, I know it is now time to part ways. I pray for the man who took my order today that he finds peace in his heart from whatever evil is stalking his life. As a therapist it is quite apparent that he is suffering. May he find God and a better respect for human life.

We came by on a Sunday morning while in town visiting friends. We got recommended the place by two different friends to go here since I'm vegan! The food was really good and tasty, very hot and made fresh! I really enjoyed the "chicken" pieces added as the protein on my dishes. I believe they are deep fried and battered tofu? I don't know, hard to say but definitely tasty! Everything here is vegan which is so nice. I don't have to worry about what I order, just pick anything and chow down! My nonvegan omnivore friends really enjoyed it too!

Mexican born vegan here. This place gets one star for having good food presentation and one star for the mediocre tres leches cake. Do not make my mistake and let the food photos fool you. Everything we ordered was not good and had no type of Mexican cuisine flavor. Everything was a bit on the salty side as well. You've been warned.

The tacos were ok, but I loved the chimichanga!!!!! The Tres Leche tasted more like a vanilla cake, but it was good. Next time, I'll ask for more topping. Great customer service!!! Please note that this is a pick-up kitchen only, and it's easier to park around back.

This food is FANTASTIC. It’s THE best vegan Mexican food we’ve ever had. Every element was good, from the beans and rice to the tacos and sandwiches to the drinks! Seriously recommend. Not a place to sit down with a group so plan to pick up, it’s AMAZING.

I thoroughly enjoyed my tacos, and I highly recommend getting a sampler platter so you can try all of them. The height of dinner, however, was the vegan tres leche cake. I haven't had that in a long time and to find it vegan?!? It was so delicious, but it's quite a serving. I shared mine and we gobbled it up quickly.

First off... how are you (Pepitas) just gonna come in unnoticed and have all this deliciousness stored inside and tell nobody about it! You held out long enough! I've had vegan food in plenty of places! Pepitas is up there with the best! Portion: size: fantastic, prices: fantastic, flavor: fantastic, customer service: fantastic, overall experience: fantastic! I tried to find the owner and shake their hand because the food was that good! (I was tryna see if some of there cooking skills could run off on me)! Anyway, you won't be disappointed! We had the loaded fries which had flavors of perfection! Also had the combo 3 and got 2 brisket tacos and the fried chicken Taco! Both were great but the fried chicken Taco had amazing flavor and the crunch on the Taco was absolute ecstasy! The brisket tacos would be prefect with a hint of BBQ sauce in it (in my opinion)! We also had the root drinks of Lemonade and lime and blueberry which were tremendous! Finished is the meal with a sweet surprise: Sopapillas! Never had them before but the cinnamon and sugar came in prefect harmony to complete a dance of joy in my mouth! Pepitas, you'll be seeing me again!

I came to visit my son and he was looking for vegan places and find pepitas, the place is a tiny restaurant is it better if you order for to go. One of the better tacos I’ve ever eat, very tasty. I tried birria tacos and al pastor, a delicious horchata and a tres leches cake so yummy. Great customer service. Highly recommended. Keep it up guys
