All The Burgers You Ever Wanted to Try in Atlanta

"With locations in Doraville and Duluth, Pepitazo brings a taste of Venezuelan street food to metro Atlanta. This includes takes on the classic burger, like the Tequeburger with cheese, bacon, potato sticks, and garlic sauce or the Pepiburger double-stack topped with American cheese, gouda, and bacon." - Beth McKibben, Alex Leo-Guerra

The food was delicious. Didn't know what a pepito was exactly, the staff was happy to explain and make suggestions, very helpful and friendly. Went with a pepitazo and a champi gratinado for my wife and I. Both were delicious - the pepitazo was better. They also have a variety of delicious sauces, most were tasty, but the garlic and cilantro one was really good. Some of the appetizers and desserts looked good, but we were stuffed and had half a sandwich left over. Next time. Pretty standard industrial restaurant atmosphere, functional, and perfect to focus on the food and people rather than a fancy environment. We liked it.

If you haven’t tried this place yet… you’re seriously missing out! I ordered the California Pepito and WOW (Hispanic accent lol) the flavor was incredible! Juicy tenderloin, crispy bacon, creamy cheeses, and the perfect balance of corn and sauces on soft, grilled bread. Everything was fresh and loaded with flavor. The fries were crispy, and the three sauces that came with it were the perfect bonus especially the green one (SO delicious!).😋 The portion size is huge, and totally worth the price. You can tell they don’t skimp on ingredients, and it tastes homemade but elevated. The menu has so many options everything from mushrooms and plantains to different cheese blends so there’s something for every craving. Highly recommend this spot if you’re into loaded street food style sandwiches with serious flavor and Latin flair. Definitely coming back to try the Champi Gratinado!

La comida divina!! Authentic Venezuelan food done right. We met one of the owners who is so nice and accommodating, had great recommendations and was very attentive. The food was flavorful and filling — the mixed protein is the way to go (and the range of sauces is impressive!), and you have to try the Té de Limón. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing food, I'll need to revisit many times. The Pepito Guaro, who knew?! Extra tasty meats, the bread is perfect, you kinda make a little sandwich by folding it, and my goodness, you're in heaven... Or Venezuela, depending on your mindset. Do try not to drown yourself in the garlic sauce they conveniently leave on the table for you. Worthy of your time, dollars, and tastebuds!

Google
The food was so good! I got the 4 cheese Pepito with beef. The beef was tender, like I was eating high end steak. I also loved the sauces they have at the table. I used the corn sauce on my fries. The photo of my to go portion doesn't do it justice, you just have to try it. I will be going back to try other Pepito's, for sure!

Google
The food was phenomenal. Much like everyone else, it also left me pretty stuffed after eating it. The staff was super nice and helpful considering it was my first time going, they even gave me a recommended sauce to try, while the corn sauce was pretty nice, the garlic sauce is my favorite. Wait time wasn't long at all, and the prices were pretty fair. Should the opportunity presents itself again, I would certainly come back

First time visiting today for lunch. Caroline greeted me at the counter and was very helpful in recommending my first sandwich. I say "sandwich" but the are much closer to a flat bread. I had the Chicken Pepitazo and it was delicious! Bread and fries were both perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Flavor combo of the sandwich was spectacular. Great first impression. I look forward to exploring more of the menu in the future.

We wanted to try something new. You must try Pepitazo!!! A Venezuelan Fiesta for the Taste Buds! Let me tell you, this place is a flavor explosion! We devoured the Classic and California pepitos. Authentic, delicious, and the staff was so welcoming. A must-try!

Yelp
Pardon my French, but... Holy sh*t! I was craving Venezuelan food... and a burger... so I decided to combine the cravings. Normally, when I get Venezuelan food, I'm too drawn to the arepas, empanadas, and cachapas to get something like a burger. I've seen several Venezuelan restaurants with burger options I've wanted to try, but like I said, normally, I go traditional. However, today was the day I decided to finally do it! I opened up UberEats and... what is that? A Teque Burger? Could it be??? Yes! The "bun" is tequeños! Immediately, I knew I had to order one of these. I went with no bacon today and chose cheese sauce as well as house sauce. The description didn't say whether or not it came with fries, so when I saw the temptingly priced $2.99 french fry option, I threw them in my cart. I can't speak on ambiance because I ordered UberEats, but service was quick to pack up my order. My food arrived hot and fresh, just minutes after I made it home from the gym! Perfect. The verdict? As you can tell by the excitement of my review: a huge success! The Teque Burger was grilled to perfection. The tequeno bun was mind blowing. The whole thing was absolutely delicious. I cut my burger in half to save the other half for later. As I ate my burger and devoured the meat, there was still tequeño bun overhang for me to dip into the sauces. They gave me ample garlic sauces which was yummy (always one of my favorites), as well as an orange sauce that I couldn't quite place whether it was house sauce, cheese sauce (it didn't taste like cheese), or their "special ketchup sauce" (is this the same as house sauce? Or is house sauce the garlic sauce? Or is it its own thing? So many questions!). Whatever it was was great. The fries were delicious too! Can't wait to try the pepitos next! I'll be bringing my boyfriend in soon (he's from Venezuela), but he may only be able to eat fries because he doesn't eat meat. Hopefully you get some vegetarian or seafood options in soon... or perhaps I missed them. ¡Muchas gracias!

Yelp
Food here was very hot and tasty. I went here for dinner w/ a coworker while in Atlanta on a business trip. Would like to try again when back in Georgia.

Yelp
We stopped today, for the first time, because of the very positive reports on Yelp. We were not disappointed! Our meals were both more than we could eat, so we brought half of our orders hovering for dinner tonight. The dishes were light and delicious. There were correct comments about the food not being greasy. There were also correct comments about the fries being excellent. We will be back!

Yelp
Wow! Amazing! Everything that touched my mouth was nothing less than spectacular! I highly recommend the Taqueño Burger. The bread has cheese inside (like Colombian pan de bono) and is incredible by itself. The sauces were out of this world. Definitely give this place a try.

Yelp
Nestled in a small strip mall on Buford Highway, Pepitazo shines as a remarkable Venezuelan restaurant. What makes this place even more impressive is its origin story--founded by two brothers in the midst of the pandemic, their passion and determination have brought a culinary gem to life. The restaurant's trendy and cozy setting in the strip mall exuded a sense of comfort. The dedication of the two brothers who opened the restaurant during such challenging times was palpable in every detail. The star of the show at Pepitazo were their mouthwatering open-faced sandwiches. We had the pleasure of savoring their renowned California and Pepitazo sandwiches, and they truly exceeded our expectations. Each bite was a burst of flavors, expertly crafted with a generous array of ingredients that made for a tantalizing experience. Pepitazo's distinctive Venezuelan-American fusion cuisine sets it apart from the myriad of other dining options on Buford Highway. I was ecstatic to find a new food genre which rarely happens these days. What also impressed us were the diverse sauces that accompanied the sandwiches. Instead of settling for the usual ketchup and mustard, Pepitazo delighted us with a selection of six different sauces. These flavorful accompaniments brought a unique twist to the meal, perfectly complementing the fries. Our personal favorites included the garlic, corn, and pepi sauces, which added a delightful touch to the already outstanding sandwiches. The service was great and the hostess was very kind! Pepitazo on Buford Highway is an absolute must-visit. Indulge in their delectable open-faced sandwiches, enjoy the unique selection of sauces, and support the inspiring journey of two brothers who turned their dreams into reality!

Yelp
Me encanta el Tajadas y el Aguacaton! Carne muy bien gusto y servicio amigable. Lo recomiendo! I love the Tajadas and the Aguacaton pepitos! The meat is seasoned and has great taste and their service is very friendly. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Maria Jose and Valentina were amazing and very attentive. The food was to die for. I would definitely be coming back here. I haven't had such good Venezuelan food in a long.

Yelp
My family and I were in the area for a Quinceañera and decided to give this place a try. The food was outstanding! my wife and I each had an open face sandwich and they were delicious! The meat was tender, juicy and so flavorful! My daughter had a burger and it was perfectly cooked, juicy and delicious as well. They have these sauces that are on the table and they just add to the incredible flavor! Definitely put the Garlic sauce on everything! Don't forget to finish off with their thin Churros that were a party in our mouths. The staff was so nice and helpful since this was our first time. we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Brilliant Venezuelan sandwiches, heaping with toppings and an excellent selection of sauces. Highly recommend this joint either if you're new to Venezuelan cuisine, or familiar with it already.
