Yummy burgers & onion rings made to order. Beautiful view from the inside or have it packed up & cross the street for the beach. Owners are kind & teens working there work hard in that summer heat. Place does not have AC.

Little burger and seafood spot in the heart of Alki. Fries and burger portions were appropriate. A few tables inside, a couple outside, and a bathroom for guests. Most people were placing to-go orders to enjoy on the beach or at home. Everything was cooked to order and with the limited staff, I can see it taking a while on the weekends. They also have a good selection of ice cream all labeled for allergens (unfortunately no dairy free options).

Solid burger shack on the beach. Nothing fancy, but that’s its charm. I get the grilled salmon burger every time I come to Alki. It’s a pretty great deal at only $12.99. I wish they had gluten free buns.

Great little burger joint on Alki. The fries and onion rings were alright but the burgers were so juicy and delicious. We will definitely be back!

Good, simple food. Got there right at noon on a Monday. Didn't have to wait long but a line formed behind us. Was there maybe 30 minutes between ordering our food and then eating it. Will go back next time we visit Seattle.

Food is good. Fair price. Bathroom is iffy but they do attempt to keep up on it (its just old and stinky). Our kids loved the ice cream.

Cool little spot serving burgers, fish n chips, chicken, fries, onion rings, and ice cream. They were pretty busy when we went but they did a good job being short handed that day. Good was good and nice atmosphere, under $10 for a burger fries and a few onion rings

I would never go here again felt the lady working the front was rude from the beginning and rushing when there is no line what so ever she took the order faster then it came out I upgraded my fries for onion rings for 1.50 more and was absolutely disappointed with the amount and go nasty they where only got five little onion rings should of gave it back this place is a rip off and the lady was mad because I did not know they only carried sesame bread for there burgers which I am allergic too and was looking at me with such an aggressive look as I should of asked myself yet it did not come to mind and she satiated with an aggressive voice it’s been like that for years which I get that I just moved up here I would not know that so she gave me a horrible vibe I would not go here ever again there foods not worth it and paying them I rather go else where should stick to the gyros place they give a portion that’s worth the money and some how my total came out to 18 just a straight ripp off and unpleasant place to eat and be in. Save your self the time and money this place sucks and I am still hungry even after that the onion rings should of been way more then that they have no shame for that definitely not worth the extra 1.50 the welcoming experience was not giving here and I never cross them again !!!!!!!!!! Thank god it was on the beach the view was the only thing worth it !!!!!!!!! I still am not over the fact that I paid so much and it was not satisfying . It starts when you walk n owners should work on that and if they don’t like what they do they should shut it down seems like a lazy environment and they are so slow just for you to get food that does not even look appealing so upset live and learn. Hope this helps someone out before you decide to take the chance here DONT !!!!!!

I have dined at this restaurant several times. Their burgers are absolutely scrumptious. The restaurant is small with no real ambiance. There is no delivery, but they do have takeout. Unfortunately, they're not very friendly there. However if you want a good burger, it's worth the stop over.

Pepper dog restaurant was a cute little spot on the island to refresh yourself with a scoop of ice cream. It's a pretty popular area for tourist as well as residence. They greeted you with the smile and took you order quickly. There is seating on the inside and outside of the place for you to enjoy your dessert and awesome people watching. if I'm in the area I definitely will be back as the service was great, and the ice cream was refreshing.

Old style hamburger place with standard seating. Service was fast even for a high tourist area along the beach boardwalk. Many seafood and burger options. Ordered the cheeseburger and added bbq sauce. Burger was cooked well and not too greasy. Fries were fresh and crispy added charge if you wanted onion rings instead. Inside was clean and not too crowded and would recommend.

We used to love coming here in high school. We thought we were so grown up and cool. :D I loved their burgers. The service was pretty straightforward. The vibe is old school sea wench. So, we definitely belonged here. Lolol I saw a recent video upload, and it looks exactly the same! How cool. Miss this place and have very fond memories.

This is a cute little ice cream parlor, and invest restaurant located on the beach. The staff are friendly however they do not offer samples of their ice cream. I wish they did because I probably would've gotten more. I will end up in the blackberry. It was a good flavor choice. If you're trying to decide it was sweet, but just the right amount of fruit. The place is clean and they have indoor outdoor seating. I hope you enjoy!

I asked if they had ranch and the worker gave me one then he went to our table hounding me for 50 cents after he gave me the ranch. Was very rude about and had a bad attitude like it was my fault he gave me the ranch when I just asked if they had any. For adults and one child 70 bucks.

It is what it is - burgers, fries, and ice cream close to the beach. Exactly what you want? Yes. Exactly what you'd expect? Also yes. Right along the boardwalk, Pepperdock is in a prime location for a quick bite and nothing more. Apart from it being seemingly ran by teenagers, turnaround time and service is quick, the flavors are simple, and vibes are beachy. Be sure to upgrade your fries to onion rings.

Really more of a 2.5, but I am rounding up to a 3 because of the history behind this restaurant - it's been here since my in-laws started dating, so at least over 30 years. It's also a convenient location for relatively inexpensive food if you're hanging around Alki Beach since it's right across the street. LOGISTICS Street parking only and you could see the beach from here. You pay first at the counter to place your order and they will call you up. They also have a counter for ice cream, but they require you to pay first before selecting flavors and have no option for sampling, which is unfortunate. Service is terse. I heard they switched owners since then, so despite the homey atmosphere of the place itself with its wooden decor and old photos of West Seattle, you didn't get a warm feeling from the people working. The lady at the counter looked really annoyed when we asked for cups of water after already paying for our meals (if it bothers them so much, just have a water dispenser out). Note - they have a sign saying "No Public Restrooms" but when we went, there was a restroom you could use. I think they mean for non-paying customers; we were already dining in. FOOD Shrimp Burger: Avoid this - I never saw photos on Yelp or anyone mention this, but if you're thinking of the shrimp burger, go for something else. It's laughable - the shrimp burger is merely 3 pieces of tempura shrimp with lettuce, tarter sauce, and tomato on a bun. The 3 pieces of tempura shrimp were a little small and tasted frozen... like the ones you air fry from Costco. I've had shrimp burgers overseas where it was like a shrimp katsu patty on the bun, but this was far from it. Double Cheese Burger: Hard to go wrong with a cheese burger... and it was a decent double cheese burger cooked to order. Fries: Not bad, but not great either. They tasted a little stale even though they were crispy. Ketchup definitely helped here. They get points for being generous on the serving of fries though. Onion Rings: Let me start by saying it is NOT worth the $1 upgrade to the onion rings. They're so small and less filling than the fries. They are panko breaded and quite thin for onion rings, which would be OK if there were more of them. OVERALL Food overall was inexpensive for a local joint in the area - the value was there depending on what you ordered (avoid the onion rings and shrimp burger). They also sold ice cream and fried seafood entrees, so a good place to go near the beach with a variety of options. It's cool also this place is still open decades later that my in-laws are able to feel a sense of nostalgia going here. However, with the owners changing it seems the friendly local service is a thing of the past.

The guy working today deserves a round of applause the way he took orders, attended customers, manned the fryers and grill before serving ice cream all in a smooth fashion, super friendly and professional cleaning the store all by himself The food was great and service was well over 10/10 above and beyond And just look at the view

Nostalgic. Cheeseburger flame broiled with lettuce,tomatoes onion and Mayo fries come with not too bad. The interior hasn't changed alot from when I came here as a kid in the 70s very cool.

I had a great experience. The food tasted great. They were a bit short staffed but handled it well and I applaud them. I would recommend this choice to anyone. It was also relatively cheap compared to the other restaurants on the strip. This burger and fries was 7.99$ + tax. It was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. Have been coming to Pepperdock's for a very long time, since i've lived in the neighborhood for over ten years. Was there again yesterday, and the Double Hamburgers with Jalapeños were absolutely delicious, served fast right off the grill quickly and hot, like always. But that's not all: the family that runs this restaurant is an asset to the community. I have seen them hire and patiently train young people to take orders and run the register, taking payment and serving customers. They have done a wonderful job for years. Oh, the Onion Rings? Perfect. Served HOT.

Stopped by on a sunny Sunday evening to grab some ice cream (Cookies & Cream Single Scoop in a Waffle Cone) as well as an order or the Fried Mushrooms (did not take a picture of). This was my first time ever eating Fried Mushrooms and they were delicious and surprisingly juicy. Be careful when biting into them because they are definitely HOT inside compared to the outside. The ice cream was served to us right away and we had to wait a bit for the Fried Mushrooms since there were other orders ahead of us. Given the fact that there was only two people working when we came in, the order was made in a timely order. The service here was excellent. We did not have any problems and it seemed like other customers there were tended to with the same consistent kindness and care. If customers tried to order something that was no longer available for the day, they were made aware of that. If customers had questions about what comes with the orders/meals, they made sure to inform them as well.

This place is nostalgia with a view and good food with no frills. I had not been here in probably 15 years, but it is a Alki staple since it has been in operation for so long. The cheeseburger was really good! Cooked fresh and prepared carefully. I enjoyed the toasted sesame bun and crisp lettuce. They have many flavors of ice cream as well, and fried seafood options. They do charge for soda refills. Lots of seating and fairly priced. A nice treat!

Tasty burgers and chicken sandwiches. Busy, sunny day but service was quick. Small seating area but easy to take to the beach. We will definitely grab lunch here again. And lots of ice cream options.

Greedy buisness owner, terrible service Was a fav of mine as a kid. New owners appear to have no clue of the west seattle history. No one cares to wipe anything down. Flies present and sticky floors and tables. No interest in coming back

Can't go wrong, a decent charred deluxe cheeseburger meal. Massive portion too under 10 bucks. Wow! Thank you! Grab yourself a meal and enjoy it looking out at the water. Absolute perfection!

Amazing burgers. Great service. Fast and cheap. This place is the best quick burger in Alki.

I paid $7.70 for 2 scoops and got a scoop and a half. It wasn't busy there's no excuse to skimp this hard when your prices are this high.

My gf and I were totally unhappy with our meal. The fried seafood combo tasted like it was overfried in old oil and left a very unpleasant aftertaste. The fries were lukewarm at best and a little soggy. The salmon burger would have been good had it not had a verrrry fishy taste to it. I am a fish/salmon lover and was thrown off by that. The service was fine and we didn't experience the rudeness other reviews mentioned. That said, they could work on creating a more inviting feeling. It was more of a, "What do you want. Ok, your total is..." type of place. It's a lovely place and has a wonderful view. We just were completely disappointed and wished we had ordered from elsewhere. The food had potential had it been prepared better. We will not be coming back.

Great locally owned spot that recently changed owners. Still family owned. After some starting hiccups they are underway! We enjoy the burger and fries and icecream right off the beach. Food is fairly priced and less expensive than other more famous burger places in the same area. Good for teens, good for pick up and eat at the beach

I can always count on Pepperdock for a hot burger and fries or a scoop of delicious ice cream for my walk along Alki Beach. A trip to this beach wether it's a warm and sunny Summer day or cooler Fall afternoon is never quite complete without making a quick stop to this restaurant. The staff is always very kind and welcoming. The restaurant is small so I recommend ordering your items to go and taking them with you as you walk along the beach or find a spot in the sand to eat.

location, location, location What a very pleasant find to sit across the street from the sandy beach and waterfront eating very tasty, hot, fresh, well seasoned and coated cod with fries, better known with fish as chips. It is small but offers both indoor and outdoor tables, rest rooms, also ice cream and friendly service. (see pictures) We will be back and suggest you visit. Very filling and satisfying.

I was shocked and surprised when I came in on a Monday afternoon, 6/5, that this Asian man who served me at the counter was d "rudest and most disrespectful" service I ever got from this place! He insisted that I pay first before even having the chance to choose my ice cream! And when I told him the two flavors I wanted, he still asked me for a third flavor to put in my second cup. And I said that I already told him what the second one was. Then he glared at me with a bad attitude and blamed me for not communicating with him clearly. He only had one help, a cook that looked like his daughter. And he was starting to have a line of customers, so he was agitated. He must be a new owner of the place because the previous ones were more nicer and civil! I say find another ice cream place before you even consider this place!!!

Had lunch with my mom, we split a cheeseburger & shrimp & chips. Burger had a nice homemade taste, good broil on the meat. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Had my first ever onion rings here: crispy & sweet. If you want lunch on Alki beach without bleeding your wallet dry, this place has better prices than most of the restaurants on the beach.

Not like it used to be :( The quality of food has gone down. Flavorless frozen beef patties. The fries were inedible, tasted stale/old. Onion rings are still decent. Bring back the fresh flame broiled burgers and crispy fries!

I stopped in here during a pretty mellow time. I'm giving three stars because the prices are good and the ice cream was good. However, all I wanted to order was an ice cream for my daughter and it took more than 10 minutes for someone to help me. There was only one other person in there ahead of me.

We love Pepperdock. They have Delicious Burgers, good prices, and friendly service. Love the inside as well. It's super cozy in the winter.

I came in thinking I wanted a burger and seven juicy, perfect fried scallops later I realized that I will be returning for that burger and to eat everything else on the menu. The fries are also perfect, as is the homemade tartar sauce. Everything here is affordable, which is quite a thing to say during a recession. Food is on par with Emerald City Fish and Chips, with the added bonuses of being able to sit and look at the water in a pleasant maritime themed space. I see a lot of signs here asking for patience because they are short-staffed, but honestly I got my food really fast.aa did the other guy who ordered after me. I think a little patience goes a long way for food this good.

Staff was okay. Table was sticky. Our food was less than stellar. Frozen mozzarella sticks, bland burgers. I spent $40 on food, and we can't get a free refill? I can see that this place is getting good reviews mostly for the ice cream they serve. Which is fine. Yeah, we'd come back for ice cream. But absolutely nothing more than that.

I was really feeling fish and chips after work and thought having it while sitting on Alki Beach would be a perfect way to end the day. Unfortunately, this did not hit the spot. For two fish, it is $9.90 and it comes with fries. The fish itself was not a nice golden brown, it came out rather dark. It wasn't flakey and it was a little hard and hard to pull apart. The favor was nice and it had potential. It's nice that it still came with fries, there are some places where the fries are extra.

Awful service. They wrote my order down wrong so I corrected them, and they still got it wrong. I went back to let them know, and hopefully get my original order but it was past food serving time and not only did they refuse to give me the right order, but they also told me I was lying. before my food even came out, the 2 employees kissed eachother in front of the customers. however, Pepperdock has one of the best grilled cheeses in West Seattle

A decent little cafe next to the beach. I got the burger and fries, real simple and imexpensive. The burger itself was decent, nothing out of the ordinary and filled me up. The seating is okay and clean. Really not much to comment on or complain about.

When deciding where to eat in the middle of your day at the beach, Pepperdock should be at the top of your list. They have burgers, fish and chips, ice cream, and shakes! Here's what you need to know- 1. It's your typical beach burger + fried fish shack. 2. There are two different lines for food and ice cream. 3. Everything is made to order, so be prepared to wait a bit when they are busy. 4. Order the King's cheeseburger to add three delicious onion rings to your fries for only about .50 cents. 5. Order the fried mushrooms! Yummmm. The interior is a bit rustic and dark, so I recommend taking the food back to your spot at the beach!

Horrible customer service accused me of stealing a soda because I'm black then put a patty from another persons order on my burger with mayo on it when I specifically asked for no mayo. Cold food angry cook waste of money and time. WSSM They got Roaches.

The first time I came here I was thinking on the water so it's over priced, NOPE!!!! Affordable made when you order delicious burgers, fries and more! I really love coming here alone and with friends! This is the only place that has bubble gum ice cream (blue) with gum, it's a perfect treat when hot and want something delicious! I always have to have a waffle cone and it's never been a disappointment, fresh. The staff is sooo patience and friendly and I've never had a problem here! I really enjoy myself here! They even have bathrooms FOR customers only! I HIGHLY recommend you come here if you haven't been! It will complete your alki trip!

When I'm here, I feel like a girl in the 1950s singing a song about the Boardwalk. So, the burgers: Big. Juicy. Grilled right in front of you. Goodness. I have also enjoyed the hot turkey club--grilled bread, thick turkey, just the right amount of mayo. Perfecto. Large steak fries, soft but crunchy, salted just right. For drinks, they have EVERYTHING you could ever want--a diet rasberry iced tea? Sure! Milk? Strawberry lemonade? Why not!? And of course, all the other normal fountain beverages and bottled sodas/water. Oh yeah... and it's on Alki, with the most beautiful views and light beach wind around you while you munch. Go here for the perfect '50s feel!!

Pepperdock is an order-at-the-counter burgers/fish and chips shop in West Seattle near Alki beach. I stopped in with some friends right before closing. Two of them ordered the low-floor, low-ceiling staple known as chicken strips and fries. I had the fish sandwich, which came with a generous portion of breaded cod, tomato, lettuce, and tartar sauce. The fish was tender and well seasoned, and large enough to shine through the bread and sauce. My side of cole slaw wasn't too heavy on the mayo and had enough acidity to give me the likely false satisfaction that I had made a healthy choice. I would stop by again for a quick piece of fish before a day (or night) at the beach.

Today, I stopped in to the Pepperdock Restaurant for my first time ever. As a Seattle native, I guess I thought that I've been here before, but nope. I chose to take a seat along the window, it's a light tight, close to the ice cream display, but the view is well worth it! I had a great combination of ice cream and cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger, didn't really look like much, but the flavor was great. The fries are some of the best I've had in recent times. They were crunchy outside and cooked to perfection. The service was great and I will definitely be back. Adding some pictures, for reference.

I came here while hanging out at Alki Beach. Inside it reminds me of a childhood ice cream shop and they have a variety of flavors to choose from. I went with a scoop of Blackberry ice cream in a waffle cone that came out to be $3! With all the high end ice cream shops in Seattle, the ice cream here is such a great deal and tasted very good. I'm sure I'll be back for more ice cream and to try out their other food items.

If you want ice cream while hanging on Alki Beach, this is the place to go. The prices and reasonable and the portions are huge. It was 4.50 for a single and 5.50 for a double in a waffle cone, and a dollar less for a sugar cone or bowl. The ice cream itself is super tasty with lots of real ingredients inside. We got the black cherry (with real cherry bits), coconut pineapple (with real coconut meat), and pistachio almond (with real almond chunks). So many great flavours to choose from, will definitely be going back. The line was out the door but it went by very fast, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. I would totally recommend if you're in the area and want a snack.

As far as beach burger grease joints go, Pepperdock is one of the best I've seen. Pepperdock's location is great, right smack in the middle of Alki beach and easy walking distance from your towel. The inside of the restaurant is a throwback -- I'd imagine it hasn't been significantly updated since the 80s. The decor and tables are just a little cluttered and cramped, but not too bad -- most people will want to take their food to go and sit on the beach anyway. The menu is located overhead above the order counter and is a little confusing for first-time visitors (no descriptions, just item names), so expect to stand in line a little while as customers ask their questions to the order-taker. Although it would be nice if there were a place where the items were described in more detail (to shorten line wait times), it's really not that bad. At prime lunchtime on a hot Saturday afternoon, the wait to order was only about 10-15 minutes. The kids behind the counter were super friendly and helpful. I tried a burger, fries, and a hot dog. All of them were cooked up fresh to order (you can watch them grill it up) and were delicious. Portion sizes were generous for the price and location. Overall, this was an excellent place to grab a quick bite and I look forward to coming back next time I'm in Alki.

We waited a while for our food but it was worth it. King burger and salmon burger were both really good. Everything was fresh and flavorful.

Living on Alki this has turned into my go-to spot for burgers/fries/fish. The service is always exceptional -- even if you walk in 15 mins before they close (which I've admittedly done quite a few times), you're always greeted with a smile and fresh, made-to-order food. The ice cream is also tasty. If you eat in, the decor is a bit dated, but kinda fits the beachy theme being on Alki. I typically order my food to go. Favorite items: Cheese Burger -- all burgers come with fries and you can make it a "king size" and add 3 onion rings!! Fish Sandwich (bomb af and hits the spot) Fried Mushrooms

They serve frozen fish and chips. Nothing is store made! Straight outta frozen packets! Even frozen store bought ones taste better than this! Never going back again!
