KC’s signature skyline perch blends frozen cocktails, DJ nights, and a spring–fall concert series. Highlighted by KCUR and Condé Nast Traveler for the views and local vibe; it’s seasonal, so check dates before you go.

I had my birthday dinner here the other night and overall I had a great time! I will say, how they serve parties of 6-16 is kind of odd… We were told that we could only have 5 tabs open at the table through our server and everyone else had to go to the bar to order food or drinks (which were a bit overpriced IMO). I had a group of 16 and it just became a bit confusing. I assume it’s because of the way tips would be dispersed so I recommend having two servers (one per 8 guests) to help with tip sharing and service.

We always have a great time at Pecheron! The drinks are top-notch, the snacks hit the spot, and the rooftop view of Kansas City is just unbeatable. Perfect spot to unwind and take in the skyline. Definitely a solid spot.

Tahleah, our server- the absolute worst. She either didn't submit our entire order or "gave it to the wrong table". It took 3hrs to get one round and food and drinks. We sat for 35min before she arrived to take our order. Then she asked for a card on tab, which is fine, but gave the card back like a drug dealer.... it was awkwardly funny. The food came reasonably quick. We ate our entire order BEFORE she came with napkins or silverware. Then when we asked for the other half of our order she ended up comping our entire order because so much time went by. Then she ran our card anyway.... such a horrible experience. Will gladly revisit for the view and food, but definitely not in her section.

Has lots of potential! Didn’t try any of the food! I loved the location and the views! I did like that they have both servers and bars. The bar line is extremely long and it’s in the way, hard to walk around. They may need to invest in some ropes or wrap them around the bar side. I also didn’t really care for the “pours” Ordered prosecco and the glass wasn’t even HALF full, mind you it wasn’t even a wine glass. It was a short rocks glass. Still nice vibes, good views and they actually had a good DJ Saturday night!

Hostess upon entering was very personable. View is just okay. Very packed and would only allow a seating for 6 at a table that could definitely seat 8. Did not like the default move of automatically charging the card used to reserve especially given large groups were present and blatantly told another card would be used only to charge it anyway. The Party Pressure drink was not visually appealing or tasty. The pina col fashioned was good and I was grossly disappointed with the Paloma. Food choices were interesting, wings were good, skewers were nice, may try the platter next time.

Good luck finding a table on Saturday’s. Sofas are first come first served. Overall amazing vibes and views. Trendy crowd.

We were invited for a friends birthday to see the Madisen Ward show. It was the perfect evening with just a slight breeze that made the night that much more perfect. We had a great spot without a lot of extra traffic. We enjoyed the lamb meatballs and fries. The flavors were delicious. The service was good. Because we had a party of 8 they added gratuity to our bill. This practice isn't my favorite. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed the twinkling city lights and the ambiance. We took photos and enjoyed the Kansas City skyline after the show.

Had a reservation for 6 people at 8:45 on a Saturday. Atmosphere is immaculate, although service was almost non existent. It took over 25 minutes to receive our first drinks, we were never able to order another round because our server never came back after taking our order. Our drinks were even dropped off at our table by a different person. We had to track him down to get our check around 10:20. The limited interaction we did have with him was pleasant, he was very friendly, just not attentive. This place has great potential, I think it would benefit from better management possibly.

Yelp
Finally rooftop season! We took the elevator inside the Crossroads Hotel all the way up to the top. Stopped by late Friday afternoon, and it was pretty busy. There were a good number of smaller tables and chairs, picnic style tables, long tables for large groups, a comfy couch area with tables, and a standing area. We were able to snag a small table in the shade for the two of us. Seating is open for the most part, minus a few tables reserved for parties greater than 6. There were one or two servers walking around taking orders for drinks and food, but we just ordered drinks directly at the bar. The bar tenders were super friendly and made delicious drinks! We ordered two mocktails: Preacher's Daughter - passion fruit, vanilla, lime, lyre's n/a sparkling wine + Summertime Sadness - pineapple, n/a red bitter, seedlip garden, lemon. They were a bit smaller than expected, but nonetheless, both were refreshing and fruity, just how I (we) like them. My personal favorite out of the two has to be the Summertime Sadness, which was more fruity and sweet! They have a ton of food, apps, and other drinks available, but we were just stopping by before our dinner reservation elsewhere. Would love to try their food next time with some friends! You can see a pretty good view of the KC skyline near the standing area. We enjoyed our drinks, took in the views, and soaked up the good weather.

Yelp
Great service, beautiful views, and cast of drinks! The rooftop seating has our stuffed couches and chairs and benches super cool. The drinks are well worth the price strong alcohol be prepared.

Yelp
Was a little windy but busy too, was really nice, sunset was wonderful to see the city, drinks were very good too!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Fun place on the rooftop of the Crossroads hotel. It was really windy when we went so it took a little away from the experience, but it would be a perfect place on a sunny or even fall day. The drinks were good, but they were tap cocktails so not craft but still tasty! Pricey for tap cocktails though. Plenty of seats indoor and out. Servers wait tables you sit at but not the standing tables. Great views!

Yelp
Best roof top bar in KC. Great views and awesome food and drinks. A must for someone looking for an unique experience

Yelp
If you're looking for a good view of the city or maybe a fun place to watch a storm roll in or out... or maybe you want to watch the private planes fly over downtown... Percheron is the spot. People watching is sublime as the aesthetic, food and price point draw in a wide variety of patrons. It can be tricky to find a table but they take reservations. The staff are attentive and the food is so so yummy. I love the mezze platter and the kebob. My mocktail was also delicious! Check out these views!!

Yelp
Such a chill rooftop spot with great vibes and beautiful views of the city. Perfect for a sunny day drink or catching up with friends. Drinks were solid and the atmosphere made it even better. Definitely a KC gem!

Yelp
Love this rooftop bar. It's the best in Kansas City in my opinion. Anytime we visit Kansas Ciity we make sure to go here. And the service is amazing.

Yelp
Such an amazing view of the city. They have designed the space well to offer great views and shaded seating. We ordered a Party Pressure to drink which was tasty and the Batata Harry fries- the sauces were SO good. Great option for a shareable table bite. Service was great, I visited on a Saturday afternoon and was able to find a seat, but lots of reserved tables left folks arriving shortly after us looking for seats. This is definitely a fun hot spot!

Meghan T.

Yelp
This is a great rooftop bar with amazing views of the city! Highly recommend for a girls night out as they offer great cocktails!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun place to hang out and enjoy drinks and a view of downtown! Plenty of tables and seating options, but this place is always fully packed and standing room only. Parking is an issue, we had to park a few blocks away in a parking garage which was $15.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Percheron. We arrived to the Crossroads Hotel around 6pm on a Thursday and while there were no signs pointing us to where to access the rooftop bar, the hotel concierge promptly greeted us and asked if that's where we were headed. He gave us directions and the hotel itself is so beautiful to walk through! It was no very busy when we arrived and were able to grab a table with an amazing downtown view for the two of us. The cocktail prices were as expected but the food prices were a little elevated in my opinion. The drinks and food were all exceptional. The blackberry mint slush was delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his old fashioned. We only ordered the fries for a small bite prior to our dinner elsewhere but the fries and sauces tasted house-made and fresh. The views alone were worth the visit and I can't wait to go back.

Yelp

Yelp
Cute rooftop! I unfortunately had just eaten before coming here but the food menu looked delicious! Very Mediterranean style options. There was a good mix of seating options. Big tables, couches with a small table and a chair, bar height tables with no chairs for mingling, this place could fit any occasion. I ordered the party pressure cocktail with tequila and I loved it so much I took a picture of the menu so I could try to recreate it at home. It was very light and refreshing, perfect for a sunny day at the rooftop! I would definitely come back and try the food next time!

Yelp
Percheron Rooftop Bar at the Crossroads Hotel is a true gem nestled in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. From the moment you step onto the rooftop, you're greeted with an ambiance that's both chic and inviting. The first thing that struck me was the plentiful and varied seating options available. Whether you prefer cozy couches, intimate tables, or high-top bar stools, Percheron has it all. No matter where you choose to settle in, you're guaranteed a comfortable spot to enjoy the breathtaking views of the city skyline. But it's not just the seating that's impressive; it's the incredible beverages that truly steal the show. The bar boasts an extensive menu featuring expertly crafted cocktails. I selected the Coco Ananas, a tropical paradise in your mouth, and I wasn't disappointed. I'm a light drinker, but I considered getting a second just to enjoy the taste. They are on the pricey side ($14), but I felt I got my money's worth. Now let's talk about those views. There's something truly magical about sipping on a handcrafted cocktail while taking in the panoramic sights of Kansas City from above. We chose to attend at twilight and it was beautiful. I'm happy to add this location to my bar rotation.

Yelp
Greeting in lobby were great. Architecture is wonderful and thats where it ended. Got to rooftop and seat yourself. Sat near wall and mo service. Bartenders ,doing nothing, said if we are outside the pergola then we get our own drinks. Waitress shows up and says no i can take your drinks. Drinks were fine but lamb and short rib were nit good. Had to move to another table because while eating the wobbly table spilled out drinks After that frustration and disappointment we . Moved to inside bar and enjoyed that until we ordered chick oarm and meatballs. Those were tossed in trash at home. $220 later date night was disappointing

Yelp
Hard to find a place to park. Great rooftop views of downtown and the Kauffman at night. We went to watch the full moon rise, but the buildings are too tall to see it when it just starts to rise and is still huge. There's a very limited but interesting selection of specialty cocktails that are served in very small glasses, for a high price ($14). Only a couple of them are sweet, but the Turkish Iced Coffee was good, and you get more for your money. The food menu is also pretty limited, and didn't wet my appetite, but the hummus with pita was good. Friends who ordered the Kofta Skewers (lamb) said they were very dry. We had to ask for water and napkins. If you order food or drink, you have to give them your credit card upfront and they keep it for the duration. I asked about their security for those cards, and they said they keep them at the reception desk...no lockbox or safe...and the only reassurance was that "only employees will be around the area where they are kept," which I don't consider to be any insurance at all. But that is their policy. So I only ordered one drink, closed out my tab, and got my card back.

Yelp
I had an amazing experience with this bar a few times now, the bartender seemed very genuine and was talking with me about new creations they are coming up with. I love to hear about the creativity that is going into their cocktails. This is the cleanest rooftop bar I've been to in kc so far. I have brought a few friends here now and they have loved the atmosphere and views just as much as me.

Sarah H.

Yelp
Eating and drinking at the Percheron was one of my favorite experiences while visiting Kansas City. Service was great. The atmosphere was relaxing and the view of the city is beautiful. I had a very good cocktail that I'd never tried before and would order it again. We shared a Mezze Platter between two of us that was delicious and enough to feed at least one more person. Can't wait to return to try more drinks and menu items. This is a bar that I think really represents the vibe of Kansas City.
google avatar

Marissa S.

Yelp
Percheron is the kinda place you go to for the ambiance. Picture worthy views and drinks. Table service isn't always the best especially on busy weekends and there's usually quite a line to order at the bar. Not sure if they're short-staffed, but surely there's a better system that will help the servers to not feel so overwhelmed by the lunch/dinner-time rush. Personally, I've found week nights at Percheron to be a lot more enjoyable as far as service and seating availability. But regardless, if you're with good company a wait isn't so bad! Drinks are refreshing, sometimes inconsistent in their flavor, but enjoyable to sip on a rooftop nonetheless.
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
The photos don't lie. If you can snag a spot overlooking the skyline the views here are really incredible. Pair it with a breezy summer night and **chef's kiss** it's damn near perfect. I visited this bar with a co-worker after working an event last month and it was a great way to end the evening with some appetizers and drinks to celebrate. Really the only negative about this bar is the service. Our drinks were tasty, the food was great that we sampled, but our waiter made it painfully obvious that he did not want to have to bring us food and tried and tried to avoid our table since we had asked for a menu. I get that it was about an hour out from the kitchen closing but it was still an hour and we had come there to eat and drink not just drink. If the servers could focus more on their clientele this bar would be a five star place to hang out.

Yelp
loved this space for a good drink! i love any type of rooftop bar but it was really nice when i went during summer to go with your friends and sit down and get some of the fun drinks and talk. this place has gorgeous views to take pictures or just to stare at. the service was good and you go up to the bar to order and they make it right in front of you before you sit down and you go to the bar each time you get a drink. i liked it because even if it was busy the bartenders all made the drinks quickly and of course so yummy. will be back to try more of their drinks!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is definitely a place you want to show off to your friend from out of town. It's got the perfect aesthetics, food and drinks. I went on an end of the Summer day and I did not regret. The bar is located inside the Crossroads hotel. I suggest valet because it's cheaper than paying $10 at the parking garage. Once you enter the hotel you'll head straight back to the check-in desk. Right behind the desk is a hidden elevator that takes you to the rooftop. Upon entering there are two paths. The left leads you to the bar and the main dining area. The right are extra seating that feel more intimate and discreet. Basically you seat yourself and a waiter will come and give you a menu. I ordered a few shareables and can I say I'm obsessed!!! Everything tasted good. The flavor, the variety of options had me wanting more! We ordered the charcuterie board, gyro Greek inspired dish, beef skewers, and pork belly. Omg it was all amazing!!! Overall definitely worth the views, drinks and food. P.s. Don't forget to get a photo op in the lobby!!!
google avatar

Jocelyn R.

Yelp
I really did love the atmosphere here and the views, and the snacks were.....decent if a bit skimpy? But the slowness of service and the prices just brought this experience down (and we were here at 5:00 pm so I cannot imagine trying to experience it at an actual nighttime hour?). I think I would rather just eat at Lazia again downstairs and go home feeling more satisfied overall.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
Ready for warmer weather because this is the quintessential KC rooftop vibe. If you're going on the weekend, get there early because tables do fill up or make sure you have a reservation. I have yet to have a drink I don't like!

Victor ..

Yelp
Went with a large group the second night they were open. Food was good but a little on the salty side. Cocktails were a little above average and service was fine. I am chalking it up to the second night of them being open. The vibes are still incredible, views are amazing, and at the end of the day it's a reasonably priced rooftop par.
google avatar

Shane G.

Yelp
The views from the rooftop are great. It's nice to be able to look over the city while sipping cocktails. This was our third visit to Percheron. The first two times we came, we thought it was ok, but with friends visiting from out of town, we decided to give it another try. This time our service was much better than the previous two visits. That is because we were there on a relatively slow Sunday evening instead of Friday and Saturday like before. The cocktails were good (I loved the Old Fashioned). The service was better this time, but it still seems inconsistent. Is it a matter of training or being short-staffed? Two hostesses were at the station talking the whole time, but only one bartender and we only saw one other server. There may have been another, but we didn't see them. Final Score - 4 Ambiance - 5 Cocktails - 4 Service - 3 Don't confuse the message; we still love the place and will be back. The Crossroads Hotel is great, and we always have enjoyed our time here. I hope the service improves.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
5 stars for the patio, the view and the cocktails! 3.5 stars for the snacks. The chips were the yummiest snack we ordered! The mushroom sandwich and the greasy beef stick ... wouldn't order them again for the price. The place was packed on a weekday evening. Check out their website for table reservations if your group is a bit larger. Cool place in KC to meet some friends, enjoy the spring/fall days and imbibe!

Lindsay A.

Yelp
Great rooftop bar with views. It can get very crowded during the season so try to get a reservation for a big group. Recommend coming just for drinks.
google avatar

Regina S.

Yelp
The best view and vibes in the city. My go-to drink is the Za'atar Paloma but Party Pressure is a favorite as well. There's still a lot of drinks I'd like to try, there's something on the menu for everyone. Service can be a bit slow at the bar, but I feel like they're generous with the amount of alcohol they give to make up for it. I would recommend eating before or after, since they only have snacks. It's a bit classy. I would recommend dressing up a bit when visiting Percheron. Also be sure to checkout the bar on the first floor of the hotel as well. Valet parking is available. There's also a garage further down the street.
google avatar

Evelyn M.

Yelp
Our 1st visit!!! And we even found a table with seating on the perimeter with great views. Of course on a Friday evening in KC with late summer weather it was packed. Takes a bit to get drinks but tables have a server or there is a line at the bar for options. The view is the draw and music outside adds to it! We just had drinks which everyone enjoyed. It was great to also get waters ( at least with a table you had a breeze, seating & view). There was quite the line to go up when we were leaving at 9:15ish to head to our next stop. We will definitely go again!
google avatar

Elle M.

Yelp
Percheron has a gorgeous view of downtown with the Kauffman Center on one side and the World War II Museum on the other, which makes it a great place to hang out on a cool summer night (love their summer concert series--tickets are only $10-$20 each), but the drinks are spendy and not that stellar, and the food is far from worth the price. My friend and I got the Grapefruit Negroni and the Party Pressure. The Grapefruit Negroni tasted like straight cough syrup, but the Party Pressure was a really fun, refreshing cocktail on the sweeter side. Overall, would highly recommend the events here but would eat and drink beforehand.
google avatar

Shelby C.

Yelp
Such a fun place to go for a girls night out! Wonderful view of the city and a variety of drink options!
google avatar

Haley M.

Yelp
This is the perfect spot to meet up with friends. It can fill up quick but if you can get a spot it's a blast. The drinks are creative, delicious, and exactly what you are looking for on a warm summer day. The food doesn't disappoint either and are the perfect size to share with a couple of friends.
google avatar

Mikaela G.

Yelp
Love this place! Drinks are delicious. The slushies are a hidden boozy gem. Rooftop is great vibes. Service is a little slow for drinks upstairs, but other than that great time.
google avatar

Raeley G.

Yelp
Beautiful city views and cozy warm lighting give this rooftop bar very pleasant vibes for visiting with friends on a fall evening. There are some large tables that can accommodate big groups, which is really nice. It was loud enough that a lively group wouldn't be bothering anyone, but also not too loud for intimate conversation. The drinks are pricey of course, about $15 for cocktails. I liked the Za'atar Paloma, but some others in our group were not a fan of their drinks. I think the menu may be too "out there" for a lot of people, but I'm sure you can order more classic drinks off-menu. As many other reviews have noted, service is slow and there do not seem to be enough servers. You can wait for them to come to your table (which may take quite a while), or you can go to the bar and wait in line to order (also can take a bit). All in all, it wasn't a perfect experience but it was nice enough that I'd like to come again another time.

Alex T.

Yelp
Came on a Wednesday after work for a happy hour drink so it was way less busy than usual. Every other time I have been here it has been packed. If you live in KC or are just visiting this is the perfect place to get a good vibe of the city. Did not order food but the menu looks delicous! Loved the cocktails we ordered.
google avatar

Yelp
Percheron is locate inside the Crossroad Hotel. Great rooftop bar that overlooking the KC Skyline. Great spot for photo ops. The service is not up to par during the busy day. Our group went on Friday night. It took the bar staff awhile to make our drinks. Nevertheless they made great cocktails so it was worth the wait. The view of the city is amazing especially during/after sunset. This is my go-to spot to take my out of town relatives.
google avatar

Trevor B.

Yelp
This is a great spot to relax on a beautiful KC evening. The view of the city is spectacular. Most, if not all, of the skyline highlights are visible from the rooftop. There is also a covered area for the nights where the weather may not be as cooperative. The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable regarding the drink selections. They didn't have as many selections of beer as I would have hoped for. A little more of the local brews would have been nice as well. The mixed drinks were delicious and strong. They were not overly sweet. They had food options as well. This is a perfect spot for a get together with friends or for a date night.

V V.

Yelp
Listen it's a great view and all, but when you have a group and they charge you for a "large group fee" and then add another fee for bringing the check to the table they've been serving you at. Like come on. One drink was $20 and it was less than 6 ounces. Also literally no one in our group ordered food because the menu was so unappetizing. Do not recommend. Also, they don't bring you water. There are water stations that we had to use for ourselves.
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Way less fancy than you'd expect, i was overdressed tbh. Pretty loud, too, like the music was deafening. Otherwise a chill time, kinda unassuming.

Lauren K.

Yelp
The ambiance and environment is great, but... the service is AWFUL! I came here on opening night and there was only a few other tables when we got here. It took about an hour to get our first drink. I'm back again with the hopes of faster service and I am once again waiting over an hour for a drink. If you come, I recommend getting two at a time because you will most likely only see your waitress once.
google avatar

Yelp
Crossroad Hotel's Percheron Rooftop Bar is my go-to rooftop spot for special occasions, celebrations, and out-of-towners. Everything is top-notch from service to cocktails, the modern aesthetic, and skyline views. Percheron provides a variety of seating areas including sun, shade, and heaters. Cocktails are priced around $12-$14. Other offerings include: beer, wine, and mixed well drinks. Recently, they have been offering pizze di lazia neopolitan pizzas and Italian antipasti - which looks and smells delicious. Be sure to make a reservation online. Right now, reservations go "live" Tuesday's at noon for the following weekend, and with their limited capacity and social distancing reservations (of up to 6 people) fill up quickly. Masks are enforced! Parking can be tough around Crossroads Hotel. They do not validate parking but there is an affordable parking garage at W 22nd St and St. We were parked for about an hour and a half and it was only $3. Be on the lookout for awesome events happening at Crossroads Hotel and Percheron including Saturday morning rooftop yoga with Emily Cox (donation based)!

Yelp
I thought I had been to every rooftop bar in Kansas City...I can't believe I missed this place! The view of the city is unbelievable. Snag a table early in the evening to have a perfect view of the city lights. We really enjoyed the Marinated Olive appetizer and the tomato & focaccia appetizer. Our favorite drink on the cocktail menu was The Party Pressure but the Spanish Summer Spritz was a close second.

Carrie D.

Yelp
The former manager Chase was amazing. It was a smooth when he was at the helm! 2023 was a better year for Percheron. The view is spectacular.

Yelp
It's a beautiful summer Saturday evening. The weather forecast has been nice all day. It's no surprise a happening spot with a gorgeous city view is busy. We arrived a 5:20 and sat down at some round tables overlooking the Western Auto sign. By 5:40, no server had arrived to ask us if we wanted a drink. We did. And food. I went to the bar and after waiting in line for 10 mins, ordered drinks a papas bravas. The bartender said we'd have to order from our server. I said we'd love to have someone stop by to ask us if we wanted something. She made our drinks (and I paid for them) . She said she'd send a server by. I sat down , we drank our drinks. No server ever came by. We left. Short story: they don't have enough servers and don't have enough bartenders. We would have spent more money if they had by sheer fact of having been there so long. I'm sure we weren't the only ones. Lots of people there looked thirsty.

Mark W.

Yelp
Very cool rooftop bar / restaurant in the KC Crossroads district. Great appetizers and cocktails on a nice summer day.

Yelp
Now I used to love this place!! So cute perfect location- the WHOLE THING! However the drinks have only gotten more and more pricey and LESS! Look at these new drinks... we haven't even taken a sip yet!!
