The Ultimate Guide to Boba in Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley
"Percolate has become Instagram feed fodder for its pretty drinks, unexpected culinary combinations, and humorous drink names. The Cardi is made with freshly brewed espresso with pure vanilla, cardamom, and creamy oat milk, while the Figgy Smalls swirls fig puree and Earl Grey tea. The popular Matcha Royale is made with first harvest uji matcha, 100 percent fruit purée, and oat milk. Percolate uses high-quality boba balls and sweetens drinks with raw cane sugar. The Blue Mango drink is a beautifully layered butterfly tea with mango fruit puree, lemongrass, and lychee. Other drinks unique to Percolate include chocolate banana latte with oat milk and a lavender-infused tea with chia seeds. Plus, Percolate opened another location in Sprouts Market at 915 N La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles." - Kristie Hang
There’s No Boba Shortage in LA, but the East Coast Faces Major Supply Issues - Eater LA
"Jeremy Godsil, who owns three Percolate Tea locations in LA and one in Boise, Idaho, got wind of the alleged shortage and stocked up on boba. Although his freshly brewed boba drinks do not use Tea Zone boba, he was unable to restock again last week when his manufacturer was out. He has enough boba for a while and is confident in his manufacturer. Godsil says he does not consider the delay a shortage." - Kristie Hang
Some of the best milk tea I've ever had. The fresh-brewed loose leaf tea used here is a clear step above other milk tea places that use powders so it actually tastes like a premium tea. We had both a matcha milk tea and the earl grey milk tea; both were great but the earl grey was the highlight. I definitely want to go back and try out the other flavors!

Not your ordinary boba shop, percolate sports a diverse and creative menu including black sesame and fig flavors that will surprise even the most seasoned boba aficionados. But that doesn’t mean that they’re slouches when it comes to the tea itself, which is brewed to order and tastes of quality. Overall, it’s a shop that I’m willing to drive out of my way for.

Serving fresh tea and coffee. I ordered a fruit tea drink. At $5, it was kind of expensive. The flavor was pretty good, but a bit on the sweet side, hence covering any tea flavors. They had many selections of mixed drinks, with milk, cream, or tapioca.

I am always looking to try new places to go to when I am in Los Angeles. This bubble tea shop is located in a strip shopping center on Santa Monica Boulevard near I-405. All of the staff were wearing masks. I decided to get the glitzy lavender drink, since it is one of their best sellers. It was amazing how quick they prepared the drink. This is one of best bubble tea drinks I have had. It was flavorful and beautiful. It was refreshing. It tasted like a better quality tea, and it seemed like more boba was in my drink than other places.
If you are in the area, it is worth stopping there.

Hands down best tea selection. Amazing coffee from a local LA roaster. And, amazing boba drinks. The ordering system is user friendly and extremely fast.

I got their signature cheese tea with additional boba and it tasted so so so good. I definitely love the cheese and it went very well with the fruit tea. The boba was also very good and believe me I'm a very picky boba drinker. I just felt that it was a little bit pricey compared to the price, but it definitely tasted very good!

If you go to LA and you love Boba tea I strongly suggest going to Percolate. You can watch them make it right in front of you and it tastes like heaven! Even though their high-tech ordering system may be confusing their options are plentiful. They have regular plastic straws, or if you like to save the turtles or polar bears you can get a paper straw! Their tea is high quality and they use real milk! They have comfortable seating and being there is very enjoyable! Go to Percolate!!!

Although I'd always gotten their milk tea (shout out to Matcha Royale and Iced Hojicha Latte) in the past, I decided to try the Yuzu Peach Fruit Tea and it was delicious and refreshing! Definitely recommend.
