"The New York City dollar slice is a dying breed, and Percy's Pizza on Bleecker Street serves the best one. The bottom is crispy like a cracker, the low-moisture mozzarella is abundant, and the tomato sauce is flavorful."

Had a slice of Pizza at Percy's Pizza here. Now the cheapest one costs you about 4.5 dollars. The slice size is quite decent in comparison to other pizzas. Pay and orde is practiced. This is not much spacious and got only 3 small tables. Good place if you wanna have quike bite.

Google
Incredible pizza and one of the best we tried in NYC! The place is small and pretty hidden but it's highly recommended! The staff is very friendly as well. Highly recommended!

Google
crazy good slices. Really friendly service, had a lovely chat when I inevitably came back for a second slice after my meatball one blew me away. Kudos to this spot for everything they're doing, flavors and atmosphere are wonderful

Google
Great pizza prices have increased. 3$ for a slice of cheese. 4$ for everything else. Menu photo attached

Google
Fantastic spot. The pizzas great. Lovely little building. That’s it. Pizza and vibes. It’s not covered up. It’s the quintessential NY pizza spot. Sidebar: ‘Can I get ranch?’ ‘Yes’

Google
I got a slice of cheese pizza and it was great. The crust was thin with a nice crisp even though it was also a bit floppy. I loved the flavors of the sauce and cheese. The ratio of sauce to cheese was spot on. This definitely makes my list of my favorite spots in Manhattan to get a slice of cheese pizza so far.

Google
Awesome friendly Great pizza, they have all the classics!

Google
Small storefront pizza joint with very fast 💨 and delicious margherita slices. We came in here and got some slices and didn’t have to wait at all. The marinara tastes very good and not too salty. If you’re looking for something convenient in the area that’s good, quick, and easy. Stop here. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yelp
I can see why this place stays in business. Hole in the wall? Pizzas out the wazoo? Cheap slices? ($3) In the middle of drunken college student nirvana needing a quick refuel? Ding ding we have a winner? I'm from NJ, so I have some serious pizza trust issues as it is. And this may just need be the best damn slice of pizza I've found. Sweeeett

Yelp
Have been going to Percy's for years, since it was only $1 for a cheese slice... which was until the pandemic. It always had amazing pizza... not the 99¢/$1 junk slices elsewhere. The quality continues. Percy's makes an excellent classic New York slice with the right crispy crust and great cheese. Now, the price has just inched up from $2 to $3. (My wish - they return to the great deal of $2, but it's unlikely because they painted the price on the awning.) If you want a topping it's only an extra buck, but my preference is keeping to the basic cheese! If you're in the neighborhood, definitely check Percy's out.

Yelp
It's cheap pizza and it tastes like cheap pizza. Really, my cheese slice tasted like nothing; super plain. The staff are friendly here. There's not much room to eat inside, but they have some tables out at the curb.

Yelp
$2 slice. Can't beat it. Staple in the area and reliable. Pizza has a good sauce/cheese/crust ratio. Close to lots of other spots in the area, so a nice place to hit up after a bar. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Soooo good! Can't help but stop by for a slice when I'm around the area. Its thin and has the ultimate crisp throughout the whole slice. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
I have always loved Percy's and I am happy to report that it's made it through the pandemic with a very similar price point!! Before the pandemic they were cash only - they now take card! What I have always appreciated is their full bar of pizza toppings. Percy is (almost) always there with a smile. The best pizza in the village.

Yelp
Pretty good casual pizza spot in a high traffic area. Inexpensive slices. Some indoor seating but a very narrow space.

Yelp
ordered one mushroom pizza $4 mixed veggie pizza $5 extra cheese x 2 $2 service is good. Friendly, and only one person is running at this place. located on Bleeker st x macdougal st It's very small store but there's a place to sit down but no bathroom. The store is open door so you might feel very cold during autumn and winter time.

Yelp
By far the best inexpensive pizza in New York City. Friendly owner and enjoyed the experience.

Yelp
Stopped in on my way from Boston to Battery Park. Needed a slice and they were close to where I parked. Don't let the hole in the wall design fool or mislead you; minimalist decor is not reflective of the flavor of their pizza. I had a Sicilian and my son had a regular slice - both had perfectly crispy crust, sauce dripping with flavor, and cheese and pepperoni that were very fresh. Great spot for a quick slice!

Yelp
Great basic thin crust pizza. Totally unpretentious and friendly service.... clearly a regular spot for NYU students grabbing a slice to go.

Yelp
I'm on my 2021 pizza crawl of New York So far this place is better than Johns, and I can say compared to Joe's and artistic I prefer the crust here I had pineapple, I know it's a sign of the devil.... But I don't care I love it

Yelp
I stopped by at the recommendation of someone who claimed to have had one of the best slices of pizza here and that will be my first and last time. The pizza is just okay but the owner's rude attitude drove me away. I came on a very quiet weekday morning to check out the pizza offering. I did plan to eat my pizza crust but when I wanted to request a particular slice that wasn't burned, the owner began to scold me and continued to go about loudly venting his frustrations on my request. Mind you, there were absolutely no other customers in the store at so I was not slowing down anyone behind me. I did pick up a slice of pizza and while it was warmed up, it was nothing special. Any grocery market slice would've tasted the same when warmed up. For the side of attitude from the owner and lack of appreciation for the patronage, I simply cannot recommend this spot. Yes it's cheap, but the food is just average and there are so much similar and better options in NYC. Go elsewhere.

Yelp
Very disappointed to see the signature $2 Percy's slice move to $3. As you can see they have recently blacked out the $2 ad they used to have. It used to smile at me on the street, but now it is just an ugly black spray paint of better times. Used to be a place I sent people as my favorite slice in the city with a throwback price. But now it's just like the rest. Sad. The man working was very nice and considerate.

Yelp
Amazing pizza!!! They don't miss!. Me and my mom have been looking for a pizza that tasted like her childhood and we found it here!!

Yelp
I was denied service here today when I arrived with my service dog. I mentioned I had identification for my dog, to which the extremely rude worker told me I'm not allowed in, and that you need to be disabled to have a service dog, clearly uneducated and never had such a terrible experience in my life. He got so angry with me, literally screaming and was not capable of having a mature conversation and just assumed that he was a smaller dog that he wasn't a service dog. Didn't even give me an opportunity to show his ID. He's lucky I'm not reporting the business to NY state since it is illegal to deny someone entry with a service dog with proper identification which I had. And the fact he assumed he knew my situation and said I wasn't disabled was beyond ignorant. Hope this wasn't the owner and just an employee so the owner can make this right.

Yelp
I've been going here since I was in college and it's a great spot if you want a classic NY slice

Yelp
Came from down the street from Joe's and wanted another slice so we came here. Something about cheap, giant slices of good New York pizza that I love. I'm from chicago, and that's saying a lot! There is outdoor seating so it didn't feel crowded at all inside. The man behind the counter was nice too!

Braulio F.

Yelp
Service was great and the food was amazing. Would recommend if you're passing around the area.

Yelp
Honestly felt like this place was just OK. For $1 I cant complain. My boyfriend and I were on a pizza day and we had Bleecker street, Joes, and Artichokes prior to Percy's. Honestly we were surprised for the taste for $1 but we would def pay extra for the other locations. I know that this is probably a good version of $1 pizza but after having the other places it was hard to compare. We saw this place as we were walking and decided to give it a try.. why not for $1. According to other viewers it tasted better when you're intoxicated.. Honestly.. A LOT of things taste good when you're intoxicated but doesn't necessarily mean its good since some of the senses are impaired. IDK if I'd come back when I'm craving pizza but def worth to try!

Sam M.

Yelp
Amazing all around. Costumer service was out of this world. I will be be back and I intend on inviting all my friend to this place. The staff was amazing and I wil definitely be back. FHA k you mercy's for an amazing experience

Yelp
this is my favorite slice in the city , it's $2 which means double the quality of the $1 slices around town - something about their slices that just hit diffffffferent
google avatar

Shrinath D.

Yelp
For a $1 slice, I really can't complain about Percy's Pizza! It definitely wasn't the best slice I've had but it's consistently has been solid. My favorite part of the slice is the crispy crust!
google avatar

Yelp
I had seen some rave reviews for this dollar pizza place and kept meaning to try it out. After doing boozey brunch across the street and realizing I can't hang like I used to and the portion sizes of my egg dish being ridiculously small I decided to splurge on a dollar slice. I did just plain and yes - it was good. Yes, I enjoy that additional toppings are only like a dollar extra. The crust is crisp but I'm going to be that jerk and say there wasn't enough cheese and sauce. Everything tasted pretty good. But I've had better dollar pizza in the city. It's perfectly acceptable and just verging on 4 stars. Maybe they were having an off day and I just didn't get the best plain cheese slice. I'd try it again. I feel torn.
google avatar

Adam N.

Yelp
A no frills pizza joint that's quick, clean and convenient. The slices are slightly better than dollar slice joints, so the price is right. Service was also kind and friendly. The menu is pretty much limited to pizza, so don't try ordering and garlic knots or salads. As for the actual pizza, the plain cheese slice tasted extremely bland. Literally no flavor. Sauce had zero zip and cheese was just a substance. Had to load it up with salt and pepper to make it somewhat enjoyable. The pepperoni was better, by virtue of the additional topping alone, so I'd recommend getting toppings, because the ingredients alone lack flavor and seasoning. Overall, a cheap option close by, but not a place to order out from.

Yelp
Found hair in my food and owner yelled at me. Pizza is bad at best and owner is angry old man. Dont support this placr

Yelp
Wow!! What a wonderful discovery, I came here after a 2 course dinner at a French restaurant around the corner and wasn't full. Getting 2 slices and a soda was a great way to end the night with my lovely wife. We both thought that the pizza slices were perfect, it was hot and crunchy on the bottom. It tasting good and only costing $1 per slice was amazing. We've been to Joe's Pizza which is dubbed by some as the best pizza in New York obviously didn't try pizza here. I would avoid the lines at Joes pizza and give this place a try. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be coming back to Percy's Pizza.

Yelp
I just wanted a slice of authentic NY pie. I ended up with three. Incredibly delicious. #DukeOfEats

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem on my way to the train, $2 for a slice caught my eye. The Margherita pizza was amazing! Not too greasy and had the perfect amount of basil. In addition to great pizza, the staff is super friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
Percy's perhaps one of the last few remaining dollar slices in the city. I know that's the allure, but my review does not consider the price-point. Only how it tastes. Got a plain cheese slice. Crust--Very little chew. Reminiscent of a cracker the way it breaks down in my mouth. No flavor in dough. Decent crunch on crust. But no flavor here. Cheese--- I think its low moisture mozzarella? But tasteless. Rubbery. And seems to be bonded with the crust. Only an itty bitty bit of grease. Sauce-- There was some of the color red involved. Do not recommend Percy's.
google avatar

Yelp
The interior is pretty straight forward. There's three or so tables for people to stand at and I think 2 tables to sit at. It's a good $1 pizza and reminded me of public school lunch. Service is quick and the pizza is decent. Percy's satisfies any pizza cravings if you do not want to shell out extra money for Joe's or Prince's.

Yelp
6.4/10 Cheese slice: very average slice of pizza; cheese below average; a weird and minimal crunch, thin but not nearly crispy enough; dough is below average
google avatar

Brian Z.

Yelp
I used to live pretty much right above this spot. It's the best dollar (two dollars now) spot in NYC. From the thin crispy crust, to the savory meatballs, Percy's Pizza is simplicity at its best. Plus, Roman, one of the pizza chefs, is awesome. I've since moved to Bushwick, but I'll usually try to drop by whenever I'm in the area to see if I can catch him. Such a nice guy.

Yelp
Best dollar slice I have had in NYC yet. Based off a recommendation from two native high schoolers. This place isn't as publicized and doesn't have as much attention as Two Bros and 99cent pizza, but man their pizza is great for $1, what a steal. With only about 2 men working the line, I can see how it can get a little crazy, but not when we went. They make it hot and cheesy with crispy, crunchy crust, which I love. You can also get other toppings on your pizza, like pineapple for no more than $2. Small place with not more than 8 seats, but the concept is that you eat fast, take it to go, and you keep moving, but their $1 slice deal always makes you come back.
google avatar

Joan K.

Yelp
I haven't even have it yet but I know it would rock my world ... my friend ana (who has also never been) "If I was ever in a coma Percy's pizza Would wake me up"
google avatar

Yelp
$1 pizza in NYC are for those people who are too lazy to microwave their own frozen supermarket pizza. If you notice, they all pretty much taste and smell the same- all days, everyday, when ever you pass by them. I definitely can't say that here! Just walking in; the scent of fresh baking pizza fills the rustic decor of this tiny pizza establishment. And MOST importantly, the pizza here is like eating a fresh out of the oven Lombardi's pie! This is New York style pizza at its finest! Lovely fresh tangy tomato sauce, perfect crispy thin crust, and gooie tasty cheese! There is seriously something different about this $1 slice that made me do a triple take in one seating! I recommend just a plain slice and avoid the toppings- their greatness resides with the basics- crust, sauce, cheese! The owner reminds me of the soup Natzi: but he's truly sweet at heart. He knows lots of the regulars by name and has a strong following. All I got to say, I am so glad I live far from Percy's Pizza, otherwise I would be eating here every day! Now stop reading and just grab another slice! You will thank me later!!!

Yelp
I am usually not a big fan of dollar slice places in the city (although to be fair, most aren't terrible) but Percy's is one of the better dollar slice places in the city. Although their layout is barebones like a lot of dollar slice places, they've got a good selection of slices to choose from. The slices are about the size you'd expect from a dollar slice. But overall it's a pretty decent slice especially if you want to escape the overcrowdedness and overpricedness of Artichoke down the block

William G.

Yelp
Outstanding. Hot. Fresh. Flavorful. Amazing service and customer service. Most importantly the pizza was phenomenal!!! They even recycle. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Heymin J.

Yelp
The pizza here is super cheap and there are a lot of different options. The cheese melts in your mouth and really warms you up, especially on a cold autumn day. There are a plethora of spices to choose from, and the brick walls and chalkboard menus give off a old fashioned pizza place vibe. The only downside is that there's no door keeping the wind and cold out. All in all, a great place to eat and talk with friends on a nice day out!
google avatar

M J.

Yelp
Nothing special. Mostly just bread and tomato sauce. Not much cheese. Reheated pizza that was at the counter tastes like oven and it necessarily pizza. Get back to the ingredients and make them original or put more of what matters on there.
google avatar

Peter D.

Yelp
Percys Pizza is a hidden gem right on Bleecker Street. The cashier was super friendly and was very much happy to be serving. The pizza is a bargain for a dollar slice shop, the regular slice isn't earth shattering, but for what it's worth, it is completely within the realm of good pizza. I will return again to try other toppings and from the looks of it, they all were authentically prepared. Overall highly recommended.
google avatar

Jennie C.

Yelp
Named one of the best but I was a little disappointed. I do love a good super thin crust but not on my dollar slice. Felt too thin and super lacking in sauce and cheese... a little skimpy if you ask me. Tasted fine nothing special, just light in all departments. Usually dollar slice is a post drinking decision so I prefer something slightly more substantial. On the plus side def less calories thAn your average slice.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
For a $1 pizza joint, this place is incredible. This is the complete opposite of the many sit-down, fancy, pizza by the pie places, where a hipster with a beard may or may not be cooking your pizza in a large exposed oven. There are maybe one or two seats, so you literally can't sit. It is by no means fancy, and you can get a good old single slice of NY pizza from an old, gruff Italian guy that's sick of it. I would stick with a regular cheese slice and forego any toppings, just because it feels like it defeats the purpose of coming to a $1 slice place and paying $2 just to add some pepperoni to your slice. Might as well just get 2 slices instead. For any self-respecting broke college kids, or other broke people in the area for that matter, this is the place to go. It's also a dream come true for anybody else that's grown weary of the $20 margherita pies and just misses a good old fashioned, simple, delicious slice of NY pizza.
google avatar

Franny A.

Yelp
Italian made, Top $1 pizza. Pizza maker is a major character and draw. Pizza starts at $1 and tops out at $2,5 for a veggie slice Seating in a cozy spot Go for the regular.... Tasting like a good old school BROOKLYN Slice minus alot of olive oil Tangy sauce Lots of Pepperoncino- spicy Crisp crust w/scant char Nice cheese Very good pizza flavor Did I mention Italian made!
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
An early departure from a poetry open-mic nearby, with a friend to fill our stomaches with substance we persue to met Percy's Pizza. Here lies cheap one sliced pizzas at $1.50, where in this permanent ailing economy Percy's Pizza surely foots the bill and the fills the stomach. I believe it is cash only and no delivery service is available. A clean inviting atmosphere with ample seating. A simple pizza joint that has the basic simplicity of seating, amid without facilities, no TV, no waiter service, no alcohol, and no catering service. Their quality of pizza is better than Joe's Pizza for the tomato sauce and high quality cheese.
google avatar

Caitlin C.

Yelp
One of the most solid dollar slice options in the neighborhood. And it's even worth a second dollar to get them to throw some meatball on top :). Heck, for 8 bucks they'll even sell you a whole pizza! They blow through pies pretty fast, at least the cheese ones. Which means you have to wait more often than your average dollar place, but also means you're far more likely to get a piping hot slice!
google avatar

Vina C.

Yelp
This is the quintessential NY slice! I was just getting a quick snack with my boyfriend and we got a $2 slice here. We were both shocked at how delicious this pizza was! The crust was perfection and the tomato sauce was so flavorful. This genuinely exceeded all expectations and I will 100% be back. They had a sign that said half price pies on Monday, Tuesday and Weds so we will definitely have to try that!
google avatar

Rob P.

Yelp
I really have a hard time hating on a slice of $1 New York pizza that's not the tastes like ass version I have gotten a few too many times in the East Village. Percy's pizza, while not the best pizza in the world, is perfectably acceptable pizza. My friend said it's great if you're drunk. Well, I'm going to one up that... I ate a slice sober and still enjoyed it. So there!
google avatar

Abdul S.

Yelp
Pizza here is okay. The Manager is an asshat/has customer service issues from what I've seen. God forbid you approach the guy and ask him a question. He'll turn redder then his tomato sauce! Especially at his employees (which are rude at times as well...but it's a pizza spot. Not there for the service I guess). The service is as sour as their mozzarella cheese. Joes down the block has a tastier slice. I don't get why this place gets the reviews it does. I was underwhelmed.
