Perenn - Review - Franklin - Nashville - The Infatuation

"The almond croissant at Perenn is untouchable. No one’s making a better pastry in Williamson (or Davidson) County right now. And the line out front is a testament to just how good they—and pretty much all of Perenn’s housemade pastries—are. Flaky pain au chocolat, crisp flutes of just-out-of-the-oven bread, buttery kouign-amann line the bakery case, with an Art Deco espresso machine by its side, just waiting to make the perfect macchiato to go with them. There is some seating, both indoor and on the patio by the river, so it’s easy to spread out to enjoy some of the heftier stuff on the menu. We’re talking about a lunch of avocado or ricotta toast and an heirloom tomato sandwich, but also for dinner, where you can take down a bavette steak or Sunday roast." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

First time visit. We celebrated our anniversary with brunch. We have tried to go several times since it first opened but it has always been so crowded. Luckily I checked online and saw that they took reservations. This was a great option because it was packed. Once we arrived we were seated almost immediately. Our server Lola exceeded all our expectations. She was very kind and professional. She went over the entire bakery menu by memory and made several recommendations which we took advantage of and weren’t disappointed! The food came out very fast and was all delicious! Lola was very attentive to our needs and even presented us with her favorite cookie at her own expense after knowing we had a difficult time deciding which pastry to choose!! What a kind gesture! The Perenn was a great experience and we will be back!

Probably the best brunch I’ve had recently. Even though it was a Monday morning, I still had to wait about 30 minutes, and the sun was quite strong while waiting outside — but the clean and lovely surroundings made it enjoyable. I ordered the Turkish eggs, a BLT, and an iced cold brew coffee, and everything was absolutely delicious. Definitely planning to come back with a friend!

I’ve been anxiously awaiting their opening and went on soft opening day. This space is absolutely beautiful. They have turned it into an oasis inside. It was soft opening day so of course the staff was still training and figuring it out but they were all so lovely and kind. Full of smiles and you could tell they were happy to be there. Now on to the important part - the food! I ordered the ricotta toast, an almond croissant, and a hot chocolate. Omg. That ricotta toast was brilliant. The almond croissant has gone to my top 5 (and I’ve had SO MANY, all across the world). It’s a little pricey, I will admit. But Franklin really estate isn’t cheap and the aesthetic is pretty and the food is delicious. Support a small business - I will definitely go when I’m in the area!

I just wanted to give a great big welcome to Franklin and Bravo to Perenn! We got up and went early on Saturday for the grand opening, expecting a large line, knowing this city shows up in force for those who can display a mastery of their craft. Let me just say that you could tell the owners were overwhelmed with joy at the turnout and were a great face of the business. On to the actual food... we went with the seated service on Saturday and were not disappointed in the least. The servers were all friendly, they had great smiles even though you knew there was the added stress of first impressions. The atmosphere was buzzing and all around us people were craning their necks as dish after dish came out of the kitchen. The Turkish eggs... there's no words. This is absolutely the best breakfast dish I might have ever eaten. You could tell there was a full understanding of balanced flavors that play well together. The standard breakfast was good, the potato being the star of that dish. So good with the crisp exterior contrasting the rich smooth interior, a true labor of love. The pancakes were another home run, a great "dessert" piece to the savory breakfast. They were fluffy, slightly crisp edges for texture and just out of this world. So not to be accused of hype.. this place is so good we found ourselves back the next day after church. This time we stayed on the bakery side and were able to get the Lox toast, the ricotta toast and multiple pastries. I'm not embarrassed to say that over the 2 days we've enjoyed 8 pastries! I can't fathom how anyone could be disappointed with this new Franklin staple. The passion and love clearly show up through the food, decor and service. Bravo, we will definitely be back (many times over)

Incredible new addition to Franklin! Fantastic pastries and great staff. The lemon ricotta pancakes and Turkish eggs were delicious. And the latte was amazing. They have a walk up counter for pastries and coffee, plus indoor and outdoor seating which you can reserve. Pup friendly outside! Definitely will be coming back.

Perenn is a high end coffeeshop that features high quality food and coffee. Let me start with the coffee. The coffee really was what you pay far higher quality beans that had fruity, chocolatey hints. I got a macchiato so I could rlly taste the bean and glad I did. For food I got the Turkish eggs and I really cannot recommend that dish enough. Beautiful blend of flavors. You get crispness of the chickpeas, the spice of the pepper butter, and the mix of the yogurt with the fresh herbs gives the dish a refreshing array of flavors. And the (assuming olive oil roasted) cherry tomatoes bring the whole dish together and gives you a hug with every bite. This dish was so good im planning on making it plenty of times at home. The only downside of this restaurant is the price you are paying. Most of the breakfast dishes are 20+ even things like the croissant which was 21 (+5) bc of bacon. If you were to go I would be cautious of the price with how much food your getting. Another downside is the seating of the patio. There are a lot of bugs because you are right near the creek, so I would not recommend eating outside. 4.3/5

Absolutely blown away. 10/10 Food 10/10 No words here. For the first time I’m not sure what to say. Pictures say it all. It’s the best of everything Service 10/10 Extremely nice and not pretentious like you would expect from a place like this. Cost 10/10 Extremely fair. Did not think it was overpriced Bathroom 10/10 Cadillac bathrooms. Floor to ceiling private. Solid **Make a reservation!

Visited Perenn for the first time for a brunch date with a friend, and everything was perfect. I had the Salmon Nicoise with a cloud matcha. The salmon was cooked to perfection, so tender it literally melted in my mouth, paired with crisp greens, creamy potatoes, and a light, fresh dressing. My friend’s Turkish eggs with cappuccino were just as amazing. The service was warm, the atmosphere cozy, and we ended on a blueberry danish that was perfectly sweet without being too much. Definitely a place worth coming back to!
