Where to Eat This Weekend in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"A food-hall stall serving nostalgic Jamaican patties with flaky, turmeric-tinted crusts filled with savory options like classic beef (with a Scotch bonnet kick), chicken, or vegetable fillings; the crust shatters pleasantly and the spiced filling delivers balanced heat and comfort." - Eater Staff

This dish is Caribbean comfort at its finest. The red snapper was a standout -- perfectly seasoned with a medley of herbs and spices, seared just right so the skin was crisp and golden while the inside stayed flaky and moist. Each bite had that satisfying balance of spice and freshness, with a subtle citrusy kick that elevated the whole experience. The steamed cabbage was simple but beautifully done --tender, lightly seasoned, and sautéed with slivers of carrots and peppers that gave it a gentle sweetness and crunch. It paired perfectly with the rest of the plate without overpowering anything. This plate was the definition of soulful, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Every component complemented the other, making it a complete and memorable meal.

I don't even know where to begin but this is getting ridiculous at this point. A new location opened on Peachtree Street maybe a month or two ago. They say they “close” at 9pm on the website. The first time we went it was maybe 7:30pm. We look at the menu, while a worker looked at us and when we were about to order they say they are closed. Thats cool understandable could've been slow or maybe they close kitchen an hour thirty early, who knows. My wife went again today at 6:30pm, two hours and 30 mins before they “close” allegedly. And same thing, she looks at menus while worker looks at her and same thing, they say they are closed. This time she asked why and it was because “ Boss said to close” at this point y'all need to either change the time on your website or have a sign that simply says “ closed “ so people know. Or simple stay open until the time on YOUR website. Because we go out of our way to try this restaurant that we haven't even had to try yet just to get turned around. And its getting to the point where even if the food is good which I will never find out because of the inconveniences they keep finding to close down early. I won’t even want to try simply because of this. Can just drive an extra 3 mins to Colony Square and eat at the Jamaican Restaurant there and know you can atleast get a chance to eat the food during the hours of operation they have posted. If y'all are going to be closed early every time we show up just close down for good or change hours. SIMPLE.

The food was authentic and uniquely seasoned to perfection. The staff was extremely hospitable and professional. I had the privilege of meeting the owner who was very accommodating and even shared an inspirational story of her motivation to start Perfect Seasoning. I highly recommend this restaurant lovers of Jamaican food and foodie’s worldwide.

I always read the reviews after I eat at a place and it’s interesting when someone else commented on a similar issue and seeing the place having much time to read reviews and update the issue, some choose not to. Fried snapper was large, crispy, delicious, well presented, and the toppings on top were delicious. The fish was fresh and he showed it to me before he fried it, indeed very fresh and pretty lol. It’s $35 but with tax and tip you’re more like $48. Which is still fair because to buy that fish raw it could easily be $25 or more in some places. Not for a lunch budget. The cabbage was fresh and not overcooked, I like that. Taste like home cooking. I got double cabbage instead of rice and peas. I wish they had more sides/veggies and beef main options but I know they are sticking to the Jamaican staples with the spacing they have to work with. Plantains fresh & good, not so sweet and I always want more than them 2-3 slices. No Greeting from lady. When you have many people walking by your place reading the menu, it’s hard to tell who’s ready. The other restaurants seem to greet you and suggest their menus out front when they see you looking. Stack of cash out in open. They could use a cohesive uniform or shirt. The fish was so good, I know the oxtails good. Wanted more items on menu for me. I’d order the Snapper again.
