If you like dry wine you will like this place. I'm not a fan of dry wine so they suggested a Portejas and it was delicious! We also tried the Bruschetta and it was the best I've ever tried! Prices were decent and views of the hill country were beautiful, definitely recommended this place!

What a wonderful experience we had last week at Perissos Winery! It was a birthday outing with my friends and it did not disappoint!! The facility was beautiful and inviting. The staff was so accommodating and sweet! I knew nothing about wine making until we were taken on the tour. It was very informative. And the ride through the vineyard was amazing!!!! A special thank you to Dalton Humphrey for proving us this perfect experience! If you have not made it out to Perissos Winey and had their wine, put it on your to do list!! You will not be disappointed.

Google
Super experience! The winery is well taken care of. When you drive in there are beautiful 15-20 year old vines along the road. The taste room is well taken care of inside and outside. Harry was our server and he did an amazing job. The wines are All very delicious, my favorite was the Montepulciano. Overall the experience was superb. Definitely going back and a must visit.

When we entered the tasting room, it was pretty busy, only a dozen seats left in the room. I approached the bar and while I was looked at by two of your staff, no one spoke to me. I perused the menu left on the bar for a few minutes before moving to a table my mother, father, and sister had found. Becky greeted us, told us it would be a moment and moved on to serve other tables. Sadly, Becky forgot to serve our table, and never came back. My sister went to the bar to see if we were supposed to order there, but returned to the table, unsuccessful. A table of 8 got up and left, the table was cleared, a new group seated and served. We never could get Becky to stop by again. After 15 minutes at the table, we left and I wrote a barebones 1 star review. That wasn't super fair to Perissos, but our experience was the spark that led to a rather unpleasant afternoon. The menu does not have prices for individual glasses or flights, just bottles. The place was about 25% children under 10. I'm sure they're worth the high praise and this shouldn't deter you from visiting, but they make mistakes and Google reviews are where you'll hear about them. A quick reply from management revised this to a 2 start review with more than my terse disappointment inside.

Beautiful grounds and interior great room Was wonderfully appointed. Pleasant service and tasty flat bread pizza. Do a wine tasting and have some good conversation in a gorgeous yard.

Google
My friends & I celebrated a birthday at this amazing & beautiful place. The atmosphere was very relaxing, beautiful, & welcoming. We spent the afternoon eating, playing games & learning about the wine making process. The entire staff was so friendly, & knowledgeable. The food was delicious & served quickly with such warm fun smiles. Besides the award winning wines, this place has so much more to offer & I highly recommend a visit here. You will want to return time & time again. Thank you so much to Dalton, Becky, Julie, Melissa, Jen, Kylie, & entire staff for the BEST experience & delightful afternoon!

Google
Had a wonderful time with family out at Perissos today. The wines were all great and really enjoyed the appetizers we tried. The team there made it a great, personal experience for us. A big thank you to Dalton and Becky!

Yelp
10/4/2025 This is a gem tucked away in the Hill Country. You'll find Great atmosphere and delicious wines. The owners and their grown children are a delight to visit with. Membership brings many perks. But more than that, you're supporting a local Christ centered business !! Their wine "pick up" parties are always a BLAST !! Great food, wine tasting and a band. Great way to spend an afternoon!

Yelp
Beautiful hill country winery. Came here for my best friend's bachelorette. Very accommodating for our large group. Wonderful selection of wine and beautiful scenery

Yelp
A Texas Hill Country treasure! We stumbled upon Perissos after a camping trip last October and instantly fell in love, so much that we had to become members! The atmosphere is peaceful, joyful, and full of heart. Every glass tells a story, every bite of nosh pairs perfectly, and the team makes you feel welcome. This down-to-earth, service-forward vineyard is one of our absolute favorites in Texas.
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere, people and wine. Beautiful way to spend some time. The wines are equisite. Joined the club and look forward to some great times

Yelp
We stopped here after hiking at Inks Lake. The setting is picturesque with grape vines growing in large fields. There is seating inside and outside. In the tasting room, there are community style tables and they filled up quickly while we were there. Their tasting menu rotates monthly. They had a great wine selection and many of them were estate wines. The one drawback was the service. We had to wait a very long time between tastings and our server was never sure which glass we were on. It was very busy so hopefully it's not always like that.
google avatar

Nasiah R.

Yelp
This is a lovely vineyard that is a great place to visit. We did the wine tasting and had the burrata. Perisso's specializes in dry wines which was disappointing to learn. But most of the wines were smooth. Only one of the wines we tasted was more on the bitter side due to the high tannins. Catherine worked with us throughout our tasting and she was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. The customer service was great and our visit went really well.

Yelp
OMG. I don't say this about many places but geez, this family winery is a gorgeous winery in Hoovers Valley, off Park Road 4 in Burnet, Texas, amazing tasting room with pet friendly outdoor tables. Plethora of Texas wines and 100% estate grown wines. Thinking of weddings or other events, this might be the ideal place. First time visiting so tried their 6 wines for $25 tasting The Viognier had solid notes of honey peach and well rounded. The Italian Stallion with 3 Italian grapes had smooth notes of a light body cassis and strawberries. The Malbec was my favorite with balanced notes of dark chocolate and blueberries. Sangiovese was okay. A bit too underripe. The Aglionico Run was a first taste of this Italian variety. While black cherry notes were present, I didn't taste any smoke. Here is where I think the lack of good soil in our region hurts the complexity. The Montepulciano certainly had spice notes but suggest they rebalance the spices to yield a better product. Perhaps with more cinnamon or nutmeg. It's okay but foe 2020 still too jammy for my taste. But hey, the Martins have and continue to produce solid wines culturing the Texas wine grapes and welcomed family of winemakers in our region. Yes, they do have flatbreads and other food items which I didn't taste. The prices per bottle are extraordinarily high given pause to buying more than a bottle or two. They have won many awards including the daunting and highly competitive SF chronical. Nice job. 4 stars can easily become 5 on next visit.

Yelp
Beautiful scenery all around this estate, was wonderful to see the vines full of grapes as we drove in. The service was outstanding and their wine tasting was delicious along with the appetizers! Well worth the drive!

Mackenzie W.

Yelp
Loved every wine I tried, beautiful property and amazing hospitality from Becky and staff. Highlight of our girl's trip!

Yelp
Another amazing annual visit to Perissos Vineyards and winery. Enjoyed and bought three bottles of wine. The wine pourer accurately described each wine and provided great service. Fun atmosphere with very nice view of vineyards.
google avatar

Alyssa R.

Yelp
This place is beautiful!! We went for a wine run and stayed for the atmosphere. There's a plenty of seating inside and on the patio with great views of the vineyard. We enjoyed the wine and poached pear board. Definitely plan on going back
google avatar

Yelp
Some of my friends and I went to the 5K here a few years back. I had so much fun I joined and became a member. I've never been a huge fan of Texas wine, but Perissos changed my mind! Not only is the wine greet, but they throw some epic wine pick up parties for their members. It's definitely worth a short drive every quarter to pick up my wine, have lunch, listen to music, and spend the day with my friends, sipping amazing wine.
google avatar

Sharon B.

Yelp
Husband and I had a remarkable experience here. Gary was treated us wonderfully and we needed buying several bottles to take back home after our trip to this area. Worth a visit!
google avatar

Lindsay H.

Yelp
The service was WONDERFUL! Becky is the sweetest person I have ever met and so excited about the wine, which made us extra excited to try! I had the flight and the wines were wonderful Texas wines. They had live music, which had to be inside due to the wind but it still wasn't too loud.
google avatar

Peggy B.

Yelp
Perissos is tucked next to the Colorado river, at the end of a scenic rolling drive down Park Road 4. They bottle and blend beautiful white, red and rose' wines made from their own estate grown grapes. They are grown and picked later to present a unique flavor profile with lower tannins than typical. The public tasting hall is lovely and spacious, but abundant shady tables are available outside as well. The service team has a wonderful open that welcomes you warmly and invites you to come back. More like docents. The wines are spectacular and their knowledge and dedication is refreshing.
google avatar

Joe W.

Yelp
Always Wonderful! The Service and Ambiance are precisely what one goes to a winery for.

Mandy E.

Yelp
5 stars all around! Everyone was super kind. My husband is not a wine drinker but they made a point to find one he'd enjoy. Becky went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The winery itself is beautiful, and we can't wait to come back!

Yelp
If you love wine and you're visiting Austin, you should visit Perissos Vineyard. They have both indoor and outdoor seating that overlook the vineyard. The grapes used for their wines are locally grown and processed. Also, if you have a couple hours to spare, then take their Winemaker's Tour & Tasting. Our tour guide, Greg, is very knowledgeable and he will keep you entertained throughout the entire tour. My current favorite is their 2018 Racker's Blend which is a mix of all their leftover reds of that season and a close second would be their Malbec. All their wines are great though! Overall, a beautiful vineyard with amazing atmosphere and people! A must go if you're in the area.

Yelp
Such a wonderful place, awesome service and luxurious wine! We did a wine tasting, lady who poured us was knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming. I told her I like semi-sweet, there were no semisweet wines on there tasting menu but still she poured one instead of wherever there was on a menu and I absolutely loved it, it's like she read my taste:) All the wines on the tasting menu was good, they taste like they describe it. They have few tables outside with shade, it's so calm, peaceful and nice place to enjoy the wine. Will be back soon, Definitely visit this place!

Yelp
I have visited Perissos twice now, and both visits have been so wonderful! The staff here genuinely cares about you having a great experience, and they take the time to get to know you. My first visit here was to have a wine tasting during my bachelorette. When they realized what I was celebrating, the staff went out of their way to make me feel so special - and I did!! Most recently I took my husband to the vineyard because he adores wine, and I was so excited to show him their selection of red wines. He loved the tasting, and we tried more of their red wines outside the tasting. Each one was absolutely amazing. Their rose was my favorite! I recommend coming here for a cute date or a girls day. You will have a blast at this beautiful vineyard! They also have an adorable selection of merchandise you can purchase to remember your visit, and my husband and I went home with a deer wine pourer.

Yelp
Closest winery to what we had in California. Knowledgeable staff and fantastic ambiance. Glad we are wine club members!

Yelp
Well, I failed again. We went to Perriso's for our quarterly wine pick up and tasting and luncheon and fully intended to make this our last visit. We weren't ending our membership because of the wine (It's always great) and we weren't going to stop because of the setting (It's gorgeous) and no problems with the employees (They are like your old friends) and we weren't unhappy with the lunch provided (It was delicious). We were going to resign because we are freaking old (80s). However, after tasting six really good wines and fully enjoying our delicious lunch of pulled pork sliders, baked beans, cole slaw and potato salad followed by our dessert of apple crisp, we decided that we really aren't that old and should continue to come out and enjoy everything about this place as long as we can still drive and walk.

Yelp
Worth the trip. We are on the wine trail and made a stop here. Very welcoming environment. Everyone was so nice. The view was beautiful. The wine was so yummy. We started with a semi sweet white that I could drink all day and night. They had live music and additional canopies set up for additional shade. It was a beautiful day and had we not been on the wine trail I could hang out here all day.

Philip K.

Yelp
The ambiance, wines, food and service are all top notch! My wife's favorite Montepulciano.
google avatar

Jamie P.

Yelp
We ended up accidentally visiting the same Saturday of their membership wine pickup, so it was really busy! We were lucky that visitors had the option of wine tasting booths outside or buying a glass/bottle inside. Considering it was so busy, their lines moved fairly quickly. Having not been before, we opted to purchase a bottle and relax on the grounds since it was a beautiful day. The bottle was $50 and it was a mediocre wine. Not the best, but not the worst. They might have better options than the one we chose. The setting was beautiful and the guitarist they had playing outside was fantastic. Worth a day trip!
google avatar

Dustin T.

Yelp
Visited this winery and it was a pretty great experience. We briefly sampled a couple of wines before buying a bottle (and then another!). The property and the facility are really top notch. The atmosphere was great. There was seating inside but it was a nice day so we sat in the shade under an oak tree. Dalton helped us mostly and he steered us in the right direction. Everything we tasted was good. We preferred some wines over others but really didn't have anything bad. We're looking forward to a return visit!

Yelp
This is a beautiful winery located near Inks Lake State Park. In fact, we came here to unwind after a morning of hiking the state park and it was a lovely place to do a tasting and enjoy the sunny weather. Friendly service, excellent patio/outdoor seating, and a gorgeous interior building. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
My bridal shower was hosted here and we loved it! This winery is in the middle of the hill country right outside of Inks Lake State Park. The interior is spacious and spread out. We have been here a few times and we will keep going back!

Yelp
So much fun for the wine tasting! A calm and relaxing environment, staff was all very sweet and such a beautiful property

Yelp
Perissos exceeded my expectations!! Its my new favorite vineyard in Texas. Out of all Hill Country wineries I've visited, this is most reminiscent of Napa. From literally first moment you drive in, you're surrounded by unending acres of vines. As you venture in, you'll see vineyards galore&its breathtakingly beautiful. Great photo-op! LOCATION/ATMOSPHERE: About an hour out from Austin, its close enough for day trip. Its also right by Inks Lake, so take a detour if you want nature too. Tasting room itself is nice- very clean, modern, and country-like with stone walls, wood tables&industrial steel chairs. Outside are many picnic tables on a shaded porch or under big trees, so enjoy sipping your wine while looking out at the gorgeous view...nothing like Hill Country! Very laid back. WINE: Tasting menu is preset ($15 for 6), but offers well-balanced variety. I'm generally not a fan of pre-set menus because there's typically at least a few I will not like. But I loved Perissos' menu and found it to be a strong pre-set (preface: I love wine, specifically dry wine, so my opinion may vary from your palette). All 6 are exceptionally smooth&easy to drink. Whether light, medium, or full-bodied, my friends and I were thoroughly impressed with each. Each wine is substantial, boasting many wonderful notes. My favorite was the 2015 Racker's Blend. It is made with 8 different reds&packed with flavor, yet so easy to drink and delightfully smooth with silky long finish. Pours are decent size. All wines 100% Texas grown. Great value tasting! SERVICE: Excellent! We were immediately greeted by the sweetest lady upon entry. Our server was attentive and came back often to check on us. She was great at not rushing the tasting, letting us enjoy our wine. She also gave detailed descriptions/history of wine before each pour, which I definitely appreciated. Overall, I absolutely loved Perissos! It is so adorable and perfect escape from the city. I could easily spend the whole afternoon here on a beautiful Texas day...oh wait, I did! Come here for a day-trip getaway and gorgeous views, chill vibes, good wine!

Yelp
A good family-owned vineyard, with some fine wines. All in all a pleasant stop if you're on the Texas wine hunt! Perissos is located somewhat off the usual 'Texas Wine Trail' along the 290, as it's in Burnet County and relatively isolated from fellow wineries. Either coming south off 29 or west off 281, the route Park Road 4 is one of the prettiest in Hill Country. The location is more functional than luxurious, as the tastings take place in a sort of upscale barn-style facility. However the views off the deck are quite nice and one can see the horses that the family keeps on-site. Flights cost $15 for six wines on a single pre-selected list. The selections vary in flavor, and of course YMMV with any recommendation. But of special mention is their 2015 Fiore Secco, which is a variant of Muscat with notes of ginger and honey. Also recommended is their cheese plate, which nicely complements their wine. While I'd have liked some more flexibility in what one could try with a flight, this is a definite recommend so far as a place to try local Texas wine product!
google avatar

Yelp
Perissos is in a beautiful location in the Texas Hill Country, and it is a good place to get delicious wine and kind, friendly service. I went with my family the week before Christmas, and as the only one doing a tasting (the only drinker), I was able to enjoy wine while they set up a picnic outside in the beautiful setting. The winery has a lot of picnic tables to sit and enjoy among the scenery, which includes a lot of labeled vines. The inside is spacious and tastefully-decorated, and the staff is so nicel I especially loved talking with the blonde from Kentucky - I wish I had gotten her name! My favorite wine was the rosé for sure. I liked it so much that I paused my tasting to enjoy a glass with my lunch, then resumed with the others. I find different places suit my preferences differently, and Perissos is filed in my mind for their rosé. But don't get me wrong - all of their wines are quality, and this place should definitely be on your Hill Country tour!

CK H.

Yelp
Beautiful vineyard and wonderful Texas wines. Well worth the short hour drive from Austin. We attended an evening wedding party there also. The ambiance and staff were both amazing. They allow private catering so we had it all.
google avatar

Siv S.

Yelp
This is a beautiful location and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The wine tastings were $15. But if you just wanted to do just reds or just whites, it was $7.50. It was too early in the day for me so I just had their delicious cheese plate. I tried some of the olive oils and fell in love with their Mediterranean Oil. I was lucky! I got the last one in the display case. My husband did do the red wine tasting and he said it was average good wines but nothing spectacular. We were told you have to purchase at least 3 bottles to get one tasting comp and at the time we were there, you could not purchase individual glasses. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop. Lovely people here!
google avatar

Johna R.

Yelp
We're wine drinkers (not habitual winery occupants) and loved the Perissos tasting experience. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon for the $15 tasting and found the grounds beautiful, all the occupants friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine definitely up to our standards. The tasting included 6 wines (ranging from sweeter white to dry reds) made from Texas-sourced grapes and rather than having you stand at a bar they have table service. The bottles themselves are reasonably priced and the wine club would be a definite investment if we lived a few hours closer.
google avatar

Tin V.

Yelp
The 3 hrs drive was worth it, beautiful place and friendly staffs. Definitely going back to on our next date . Wish I saved the original photo.

J M.

Yelp
Fabulous wine and the location is quiet and beautiful surrounded by hills. They gave such a warm welcome like you were part of the family.

Vicky H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and plenty of staff to serve customers. Very nice wine! Beautiful setting and relaxing atmosphere. This was our first visit and won't be our last!

Paul P.

Yelp
Always one of my favorite places to visit while in the Marble Falls / Burnet area. The wine offerings are absolutely delicious! My wife and I enjoy them so much, we're going to become Wine Club members. The people are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The facilities at Perissos are set up for a relaxing experience, whether inside or outside. I highly recommend experiencing the great wines at Perissos.

Bonnie R.

Yelp
My son surprised his girlfriend this past weekend by proposing at this beautiful winery. The staff were so accommodating on helping us pull off this surprise! My son and future daughter-in-law raved about the staff, the beauty of the winery and the wonderful wine. Thank you again Perissos!

Claire P.

Yelp
Wine samplings are excellent but expensive. Simple charcuterie board was very tasty. Nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Second time visiting them!

Yelp
I have never not loved a winery and the tasting experience... until now. I went with a few girlfriends for a birthday party. We ended up having to wait on another party for almost two hours. They were running late, then had wrong directions... it was a family birthday outing for them as well so we were trying to be gracious but dang... it was over two hours and we only got an ounce of complimentary wine to hold us over. The location is lovely and the live music was great. The winery was packed full of couples, dogs here and there and locals. There was a fun bachelorette group there as well. We finally got started on the pairings and I must say that I literally thought it was a joke. Dorito dust on a piece of shaving of a commercial block of cheese, a tough stale piece of beef jerky that I stuck in my purse and brought home to my dog who had been at home waiting on me for hours and he doesn't turn down anything edible or non edible for that matter but he wanted nothing to do with the pairing jerky. The wine pours were the weakest I've ever tasted. Jeremy was nice but he just didn't bring it. We all left starving and thirsty. We all four agreed that it was a long drawn out one hitter quitter. The customer service and personable attention just was not there. We finished with a half a mini s'more and were so ready to get back to our weekend lake house and enjoy our own wines and snacks. I would definitely revamp the tasting menu and be a little bit more generous with the pours, especially if you make a pre paid group of ladies celebrating a birthday wait to get started at 5:30 when we rushed to all get there by 2:45 to start at 3..
google avatar

Rusty C.

Yelp
Fun place to go while camping at Inks Lake State Park. Wine tasting available with live music. Beverly was so much fun with the wine tasting and gives so much information regarding the flavor combinations in the wines. Lots of fun with a group and have private room if requested plus its family friendly.
google avatar

Justin K.

Yelp
Service: The wine tasting staff was excellent. She was very personable and knew the wine quite well. I definitely recommend stopping by when in the Texas Hill Country. I will be back based on service alone. Wine: We sampled six wines and all were GREAT. We left with a case of one of the red wines. Perissos has the one of the best selections of wines in the area.

Yelp
Great wine and great place for COVID-19 .. our wine was 30dlls pricey but Wth is our anniversary nice view and great atmosphere!!!!

Yelp
This was my first time visiting a winery period and saw the 5 star reviews on Yelp, so I figured it would be a great start. It is pretty easy to find off of Park Rd 4, right outside Burnet. You pull in and drive through the vineyard to get to the main building, where the tasting room is located. Also inside are the wine making area, packaging room, and restrooms. You have a choice of inside seating where there are community tables or outside seating (on the porch or under the oak trees). I tried the $10 wine tasting consisting of 7 of their wines. Included in my sampling were the viognier, roussanne, sweet lucy, bellisima, syrah, aglianico, tempranillo. They first give you 3 whites, then 4 reds to taste. I didnt like any of the whites, I'm more of a red wine drinker. The reds were good, but the tempranillo was easily the best and one they've won so many awards. Nice place to come, but I'm guessing this is one of the smaller vineyards in Texas. Most of their wines use estate grown grapes, but they do have some that borrow grapes from one of their sister properties in the panhandle area.

Michele C.

Yelp
So much fun! Last minute decision to go here but very welcoming place , fast service and employees took their time answering all our questions about wines!
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
Located just outside of Burnet off State Farm road. Nestled between Inks State Park and Longhorn Caverns State Park this winery has some incredible views from the vineyards. I highly recommend that you tour during late spring and take advantage of the Texas Wild flowers along the Park Road. The winery offers an extensive collection of award winning wines. Many of the wines use grapes grown on the estate. I am a fan of the 2012 Syrah and the 2013 Tempranillo both vinted from grapes grown on the estate.

Yelp
Excellent experience here yesterday. The wine tasting was very well organized and the wines were very delicious. The Malbec was one of the best Texas Malbecs I have ever tasted. I bought a bottle to bring home. The charcuterie board was delicious. Beautiful setting too, got a glass and went outside to enjoy scenery and view. Great experience and very friendly staff. Highly recommend this winery. I'll be back for sure.
