Old-school vinyl shop with a laid-back bar featuring micro-brewed beers & a patio for sunset sips.
"Permanent Records Roadhouse is a dive bar, record store, and venue in the former Cafe NELA building. Find live music, vinyl for sale, and strong drinks in a dimly lit low-key space with red booths. Plus, there’s also an outdoor patio space off the garage that offers beer for as low as $2.50 during daylight hours." - Eater Staff
"There's no official website for this under the underground music venue. In fact even finding it is half the battle (I think it's somewhere down an alley behind a Carniceria on Virgil right across from Smog Cutter). However this scrappy little venue attracts some of the biggest local and national bands including Thee Oh Sees, Part Time, and Vinyl Williams. Your best bet for a scoop on who's playing is to scour your social media site of choice, or ask the guys at Vinny's next time you get a shape up." - Cris Cimatu
"Cypress Park is getting a hip new bar, thanks to the folks from Permanent Records. That’s per TimeOut LA, who say that the closing Cafe NELA will instead flip into the vinyl vendor’s hands and become not only a place to drink, but also to buy more stuff, and to watch live shows. Right now, the company is targeting an October 1 arrival." - Farley Elliott
