Was getting coffee a door over from Perry’s and they told me it is the best sandwich ever, so of course I had to try! I had the chef’s special and it did not disappoint! Everyone wZ so nice and the sandwich was delicious!

Omg, this is a very small Sandwitch shop in down town Sierra Madre. The Sandwitch’s are amazingly delicious. Can’t wait to come back again. FYI this one you can’t fit in your mouth!!! Huge!! Well worth every penny!!

I ordered two sandwiches because I couldn’t decide which one to get. The sandwiches I got were two of the most beautiful sandwiches I have ever had in my life. It felt like home….but better!! The sandwiches were made with love and each component was of the highest quality. I literally almost cried because they were so good….also because I was so full after eating both sandwiches because they were so delicious!!! Thank You Perry and thank you team for the best sandwiches of my life! I will definitely be back for more!

This is my favorite sandwich shop in all of l.A! What I love about this shop is that the sandwiches are fantastic. They're better than any place i've been to, even jersey Mike's. It's like an old-fashioned sandwich shop. But I think the best part is the service! Not only are they quick, everyone is very kind and they address you a sir or madam. It threw me for a loop when I first went there because everyone was so kind and the service was so good, That had not happened in a long time from a lot of the places that I go to. I was just discussing with my wife and friends how service has really gone downhill? And a lot of the institutions that y ou go to they always want a tip for doing nothing! Anyway, do yourself a favor and go there and have a great sandwich.They have a lot of combinations, a lot of stuff that you've probably never had before. And if you see Perry, say hello, he's pretty cool, and he really cares about his customers. Plus he plays cool jazz!

Best pastrami sandwich I’ve had in LA! I actually got the Joe but it had pastrami and was great! Amazing Sandwich and amazing staff! Also the spot is right next to a park if you want to eat outside. Also tried my friends tri tip and it was great. Also lol the Jazz music playing was refreshing

Truthfully, I prefer the original on Lincoln, but this one is amazing as well. They turned the bland subway that used to be located here into a unique, more opulent sandwich store while still having great prices. The portions are great too. Truly a family business that puts love into every order which is hard to find in this day and age.

My 2nd time enjoying Perrys. Ive had the Tuna sandwich 10/10! But this review is about the Hey Joe. Absolutely fantastic! As Martin L. Would say “Shanae nae oh my goodness”! This was by far one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I got no mustard on mine and it was great! On top of the quality of the food the owner is very polite and welcoming. If you haven’t tried this place do yourself a favor and go! Dont forget to grab a slice of lemon cake

This is a fantastic family-run sandwich shop. I ordered the "Hey Joe" $14.00 and it was huge with lots of meat and very flavorful! Staff is very polite and got my order out quickly. Both indoor and patio seating are available. Street parking only.

If you're lucky you may run into the main himself Perry. Very personable and here's a tip. Take his suggestions My go to is the Chicken Mingus. Has a kick to it but oh so good. They also have a great tri tip here as well

Sandwiches are very good. But today we ordered at noon and waited 50 mins for our order. They only had one person in the kitchen and a customer was talking to him the whole time he's trying to get things done. 45 minutes into our wait, they told us they ran out of chicken. We had to change sandwiches orders. No apology no sense of urgency, We finally got home and they had screwed up our order.

I have been wanting to try this place for quite a while now. What deters me is that they close pretty early and I cannot make it out here for lunch. I got their Hey Joe! which came with hot roast beef, pastrami, toasted hot link, cheese, onion, diced peppers, mayo & mustard. It was honestly a good sandwich but I think the bread could've been better. We did order via the phone because from what I read it gets crowded. We got our food no problem after the phone order so I do recommend doing that if you are tight on time.

Literally the best tuna sandwich I've ever had. The portions are extremely generous and they have tuna facing both sides of the bread instead of just in the middle. The employees working are always so kind and will give me great recommendations on what bread to get etc. I usually park in the lot across the street and walk over to the shop.

First time in and will not be the last. Hands down, one of the best sandwich spots in the valley. I had the "Hey Joe" and the only negative thing I could say is that the roast beef was slightly bland. Quality and taste were fantastic. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Vibe was welcoming and bright. If you were thinking of trying it, you should.

first time trying it, we went around 2pm on a friday, it was busy but worth the wait! i honestly preferred the tuna on that brown bread was delicious!! the tri tip was recommended and was good as well. great customer service!

I have been dining at Perry's Joint for many years because the food is excellent, great value for the money, and the staff are kind.

Me and the sister were out doing some shopping and wanted a quick bite to eat. These sandwiches caught our eye. Perry's joint opens at 11am Monday to Saturday. They were a little late opening 11:08 but might be due to some staff arriving after 11. The place has simple but a generous nod to jazz music. We were missing the jazz music playing, would be a lovely addition while waiting for our meal. We shared the Guru on dark sweet wheat bread and literally blew our expectations out of the water. Amazing sandwich, best I've have in a long time. Perfect amount to share and so so so good. A must stop if you are craving a sandwich.

It has been years since I had gone to Perry's Joint on the other side of town on Lincoln. And his Sierra Madre store has been open for awhile, so I finally stopped in to give it a try. For some reason I just assumed they'd have something similar to a philly steak sandwich. As it turns out they don't. So the gentleman behind the counter spent sometime with me trying to figure out how to make an impromptu steak sandwich. Well, we used the trip tip, jalapeño pepper's, red onions, swiss cheese, pepperoncini peppers, cut pickle spears and mayo. OK, not a Philly but a damn delicious sandwich as it turns out. They were so sweet and patient with me and having been disappointed about not getting my Philly Steak Sandwich, I was truly surprised how great my sandwich was with a ton of tri-tip meat and pickles (love my pickles) on it. No good excuse for waiting so long to try Perry's Joint out, but I'm finally happy i did. Everyone couldn't have been nicer. Will return a lot sooner.

Great place to grab lunch! I got the Big Bird Sandwich on dark sweet wheat bread and I was shocked at how big the sandwich is. The sandwich is stuffed with a lot of turkey, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. I was quite full off half of the sandwich. The service was good, the sandwich came out pretty fast. There are a few small tables inside if you wanna dine in. Parking is on the street, but wasn't hard to find.

best sandwich place in town & LOVE the staff!!! Excellent great customer service especially nowadays. They accidentally made my sandwich incorrect but corrected mistake right away with no issues :)

It's been awhile since I posted a review on Perry's Joint but after my latest visit and sandwich, I can still say I love Perry's. Had a nice warm Tuna Simone and it really hit the spot on a cool day. Every time we call in our orders, the guys who answer the phones are fantastic and professional. Hats off to the whole staff who always put the perfect finishing touches on the whole Perry's experience.

I have been going to Perry's Joint for a couple of years at his Altadena Location. I have been to this location a few times and I love it. It's very trendy with a twist of jazz decor. The sandwiches are amazing with quality meat, bread, and ingredients. Many variations of sandwiches to choose from. Perry, the owner. Is so nice and cares about his customers. His staff is always clean, professional, and helpful. This is my favorite place to eat any kind of sandwich my hunger desires. They have healthy smoothies, hot dogs, vegan options, chips, drinks, and desserts that are also tasty. Prices are affordable and the location is in a perfect area. Note: My favorite things to order are the hot links and a tuna melt sandwich. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my hotlink. I had devoured it before I realized I did not take a picture. At this location, they don't have the ice cream yet, but it's coming soon. I can't wait because I love their root beer floats.

Love the jazz atmosphere and especially love the sandwiches. We had the Chicken Mingus and the Tuna Simone. Generous portions piled high on fantastically fresh bread. Every so often you eat out and it's money well spent. This was one of those times. 7r

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. You can find street parking or there are parking lots nearby. I tried the chicago hot dog along with the guru sandwhich. The hot dog was unremarkable but the sandwhich was topnotch. I suppose that's why their sign says sandwhiches haha. Staff was very nice.

Standard Sandwich shop. The food is really good. But nothing really that special enough to make a trip to eat here. Other Sandwich shops in the area are way better

BLACKLISTED. I saw good reviews on FB and ND about Perry's Joint and excited to try and we ordered on 12:50. Still waiting around 1:20ish & asked and responded "your order not yet called" I was standing by the prep counter and realized my orders weren't prep at all. Waited over 30 min and people behind us already got their orders. Asked again and was told it's being prepared. We requested refund at around 1:36. Staff apologized with an attitude - we felt it was more like what do ya wanna me to do?? It was very passive aggressive. We understand it's a busy day. But customer service sucks. There were 5 people working in the kitchen and they missed our order. we feel like they don't respect customers time. They ran out of napkins. I heard the staff told the customer to grab some from restroom.

Came in the other day for lunch! It was a bit of a late lunch, at around 2:00 to grab a sandwich. Was recommended the place by a friend, and this place has been sitting on my to go list for awhile. Service was quick, friendly, and overall had a nice and quiet meal here. Decided to try the Hip bird, which was a very robust turkey sandwhich. I only had half and I was already filled up! I can taste the freshness and heavily stacked sandwhich that left me feeling full and not heavy, just right! I'd like to see options to heat or toast your sandwhich- otherwise, I'd like to come back and try their other sandwiches hopefully soon! They also had hotdogs which I heard were great too. Consider me a fan! A few notable places in the area are Stumptown Coffee (A Coraline movie promo happening at the time of this posting) and a great market called Super King! There's street parking, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find a spot.

Super friendly staff, they actually greet you as you walk in the door! Unheard of nowadays. Generous size sandwiches, fresh veggies, love them! Nice, cool jazz playing, just loud enough to enjoy and still have a conversation. I def recommend Perrys Joint and will return!

Food good. Sandwiches are large and fresh. Not always the fastest. Which is good and bad. It's good because you know you're getting nice fresh food but if you're in a hurry to get back to your office, you might order ahead. Dr Sean

We did six orders today. All perfect. All the sandwiches were thick, delicious and so fresh. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I want to commend the staff. The girl on duty called my name and without looking at the order called out everything on the receipt and she had a big smile on her face. What a wonderful person. The location is easy to find on Sierra Madre Blvd in beautiful downtown Sierra Madre. Thanks Perry's Joint!

This place is amazing! I was greeted by Crystal, who was such a joy to talk to -- her contagious laugh immediately set the tone. She helped me choose a sandwich, and I took all her suggestions -- she was 100% right! The food is so good, and everyone here is incredibly friendly. Kayla made my sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. This place is a must-try! I'll definitely be back (probably tomorrow) for the tri-tip sandwich.

My first time here, got the Pastrami and it was good. Will have to come back and try some of the other sandwiches.

Lousy customer service, 30min wait, they didn't prepare sandwich as ordered, didn't apologize for mistake or the ridiculously long wait time. Was weekday lunch and I waited 25 min for one sandwich, I checked 3 times and each time was told, still working on it. Insane wait, there was 3 people in line ahead of me. there was one cashier and two sandwich makers. I ordered sandwich with pickles, after the long wait they forgot the pickles. I went back, they didn't even apologize. Told me I'd have to wait until they finished the sandwiches on deck. Wtf? This took another 5 min waiting as I waited for them to complete 4 sandwiches on deck. Instead of waiting for them to open up my sandwiches to add pickles, Asked if they can just give me some on the side, I'll put em in myself, so I could get the hell out of there!!! I don't even want to comment on the sandwich, doesn't even deserve mention, mediocre food. First and last time coming back.

When i tell you, geez. The combinations of ingredients they put together go super. Super recommended, a little on a heavier side, but won't be running a marathon after.

Warm and welcoming staff and one of the most delicious tuna sandwiches I've ever had!! Got the tuna by starlight on sourdough. My child really enjoyed it, too, with onions, tomatoes, lettuce and all (which he normally picks out). He wanted more - it was that good! The lemonade was refreshing and tasty as well. We will definitely come back here!

First time here and staff was vet y nice and welcoming. Also provided good suggestions regarding bread which turned out to be spot on! I had the veggie sandwich with no cucumbers and everything was fresh, tasty and left me wanting more. Will definitely be back to try their other sandwiches.

Walked in had a few people waiting for their order but they moved fast. I've been to the Pasadena location awhile back but forgot to leave a review and I don't even remember what sandwich I got lol I decided to get the Pastrami no chaser and bag of the Dirty potato chips total was about $15 something. I didn't mind bc the sandwich was huge! Service was great as well, I was helped right when I walked in. Pastrami No chaser: honestly it was bomb!!! Really good sandwich with hella pastrami. Def coming back for another one lol

Don't you love finding a new favorite on YELP? Found this by checking the trusted YELP and I am NOT disappointed at all!!! The Tri-Tip special was recommended by Kennedy (the sweetest most helpful young lady) and it was definitely a winning choice. We even ordered another to take home for the husband. The Veggie Combo on dark wheat was huge. My photo does not even do this, massive salad between breads, justice ! We could only finish half of our sandwiches. So price wise, this is an excellent choice. Did I mention the had jazz playing the entire time we were there? Has is so underrated. IMHO. Obviously I have a huge food crush on this establishment and its entire vibe. My take away for you......... If you like a sandwich with excellent jazz annnd awesome customer service, this is your spot! Clean Fresh Tasty Great atmosphere Vegan options!!!!! Had the pleasure of meeting Perry too. He has another shop with co-owner (his wife) in the Altadena/North Western Pasadena area.... Super excited to come back again.

I've been coming to Perry's since the Altadena location, and this location is very quaint with good food as well. The customer service is always good and Perry the owner is always amicable! They make your sandwiches to perfection. I'm not really into sandwiches but I absolutely love Perry's sandwiches. I order the Hip Bird sandwich, which is the best the Bread is very soft and everything is fresh. Very yummy to my tummy!!!! You will definitely get full with good quality. Overall, you must try this location as well! It's a vibe. They don't have the freeze or smoothies yet but they will come soon! This will be my go to Perry's now :)

We got the hip bird and big band on sourdough and white respectively. Sandwiches are decent size not necessarily big, but very wide/thick. Pros - my wife really liked the hip bird (turkey). I thought both were okay (I'd choose Jersey mikes over this spot). - clean inside/clean restroom Cons -a tad pricey. $29 for two sandwiches. -machine asking for a tip. I don't get it. Overall - 7/10

I came in today craving a great sandwich and I was not disappointed!! I asked the young man working behind the counter what was his top selling sandwich currently and he answered the trip tip sandwich!! If I could give 20 stars to this place I would!! It was one of the BEST sandwiches I have ever eaten!! The meat was cooked to perfection~ the cheese was melting and oh so good!! They had the best jazz coming from the speakers! The shop was clean and tidy! Parking was easy and I will definitely return to try other items!! Thank you Perry's joint for a great lunch!! You guys rock!!

Was looking for someplace new to eat in Pasadena and stumbled on Perry's Joint. The service was really great! The workers were extremely friendly and helpful in recommending different options. The menu offers lots of different hot and cold sandwich options as well as hot dogs. We decided to get one hot (tuna simone) and one cold sandwich (the hip bird) on squaw. Both were solid sandwiches with generous portions. They weren't mindblowingly amazing, but they were what you would expect a tuna melt and a loaded turkey sandwich to taste like.

Perry's Joint Sierra Madre is just as awesome and chill as the Altadena joint. Eat here! Love me some PERRY's!

So, I've been here twice already. And hands down all I can say is yummmmmmmmm. My first time I couldn't stop thinking about this bomb sandwich called Guru. If I knew I wouldn't get fat I would go for round two. If you're gluten sensitive like I am ask for a lettuce wrap it's too good. Although their breads look really yummy too. I get it. Popped by with a friend who had a tuna sandwich hankering. She ordered the Tuna Simone (gotta love the name) and we were both blown away. What a beautifully crafted sandwich that was just as delicious as it was beautiful. Even the water was extra tasty with its cucumber and lemon. Service was super friendly and helpful. Plus parking is free and easy. I can't wait to come back to try another sammie!

FOOD: Perry's Joint meant what they said when they claimed their sandwiches are the best. - Ever since I saw a TikTok of this place, I kid you not, I could not stop thinking about it... My brothers and I headed over, and it did not disappoint. We ordered The Tuna Simone ($13.50) on sourdough and the Tuna by Starlight ($12.50) on rye. The Tuna Simone was warm and comforting; the melty cheese and flavorful tuna didn't feel too heavy because the onions and mustard added nice brightness. - The Tuna by Starlight, was the best tuna sandwich I had ever tried. Both sandwiches had a very generous amount of tuna, and this one tasted so light and fresh with the crispy bits of celery. I never liked mustard, but my brothers convinced me to not take it off so we could really get the full experience of what it's supposed to taste like, and that was definitely the right decision. The bread is also extremely pillowy and fresh, a very necessary component of a scrumptious sandwich. SERVICE/AMBIANCE: Although the store itself isn't very large, there is still a decent amount of seating available because a lot of people take it togo. We came on a weekday during lunch, so we didn't have to wait very long. The jazz music playing in the background makes it a nice place to just have a relaxing meal and chat with company, plus the inside is well kept. To top it off, the staff are extremely kind with any questions you may have, it's really just a great place. OVERALL: I will be back to try other sandwiches from their large menu! I love how they offer both warm and cold sandwich options, plus a good selection of breads. Oh and yes, the sandwiches are large!

I live so far away from Perry's but make it out there as often as I can for these sandwiches. They are always so good, never a miss. Great variety of options, lovely staff, very clean and cozy inside the restaurant

To me, the ultimate test of a sandwich place is how they make their Tuna sandwich. I ordered the Tuna by Starlight and it was perfect. Nice people as well. I'll definitely return.

Been going to the Altadena location for 8 years. Glad to see them open another store. Good to run into Perry too, he's one of the coolest dudes ever. He also makes the best chicken salad sandwich on earth.

Food excellent, value excellent, wait for food.... Very very long. It was lunch time but at one point, there were 16 people waiting and no one eating. A 3rd employee came and things started moving. Please score your sausage link placed inside your sandwich so the whole bite does not become a struggle with the casing in the sausage. The value is there and the place is brand new so they maybe working out some kinks. I'll be back to eat them all. My friend got the turkey and I got the Hey Joe. Each sandwich can be shared. It's a lot of food. But really GOOD sandwich shop. Happy happy. Bon Appetit

This place has been on my list for awhile and I am super glad I finally made it out! The restaurant is on the smaller side, but definitely doesn't lack in flavor! My boyfriend ordered the Hip Max and I ordered the Tuna Simone. Out of the two, the Tuna Simone was definitely the winner!! So much flavor packed into a sandwich! The Hip Max wasn't bad, but I do think it could use more sauce (or even a different sauce) as we found the sandwich to be a bit dry. Also, the employees were super friendly and helped answer any questions we had about the menu. The sandwiches took a little while to come out, but they seem to get a lot of takeout orders. (Also the sandwiches are HUGE that's obviously going to take some time to wrap up nice and tight.) This place is a must try in Sierra Madre (and Pasadena)!!

Definitely worth stopping in! Perry is serving up great hot dogs, sandwiches, salads--you name it! And the quality is always top notch.
