Stopped in here for an early dinner after a baseball game in the city. We were sat quickly and server was very attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the calamari which was thicker than I normally see in restaurants, so felt a bit chewy. I probably wouldn’t reorder it. Spouse loved his wedge salad. Menu offered medium and higher priced options. We sat outdoors and enjoyed it, overall restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

Google
Nice place for lunch with a patio or indoor seating. They back up to a hill and the majority of the time you can see happy little deer enjoy a rest and graze. The food is always good they have options of salads, sandwiches, or larger entrees. I usually go for the salmon with seasonal veggies. The staff here is always great and friendly. Great place for social or business lunches.

This restaurant is located right next the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn. The parking lot is shared by both properties (free parking) and it is pretty packed during evening hours. We came (party of 4) for dinner around 8pm, and were seated promptly. It took a little while for the food to arrive, but when it did, it was piping hot and freshly prepared. The fries were good, but calamari were overcooked and dry. Sauteed sole meuniere was great. Perry’s burger was on the greasy side. The beet salad was super bland with very few pieces of beets. Overall it was an OK experience. Felt more like a diner. Location was a winning point for us, since we were staying at the neighboring Best Western.

Google
We had a birthday party at the restaurant, so it was a big company of people ordering different food. Almost everything was done pretty decently, big size portions but on the pricey side. The service was good and the waiter was attentive.

Brian Hunter

Google
Totally decent. Food is consistent and service has been good every time without fail. Does it deserve a Michelin star? Probably not. But it meets expectations for the price. Never a wait to be seated so far at this location.

Google
Good food and good atmosphere. I ate several meals here while staying in the area. The menu is fairly simple. I never had a bad meal during the 6 or 7 times i ate there. They have a decent beer selection and experienced bartenders making some great cocktails.

Happy Hour Burgers are BACK. When was the last time you paid $9 for a real burger?

Perrys is a great place to relax and have a decent meal. Service is friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Really a good lunch - I had the Cobb salad with chicken and bacon. Very tasty and very ample portion. The service is capable, though lacking in warmth and personality. The physical environment is excellent, roomy and comfortable. Good value for an upscale place. Highly !

Yelp
Last time we were here the place it was called the Wildfox. This place has great ambience, polite prompt servers and very conveniently right off hwy 101on you way to San Francisco. Reasonably priced and great wait staff

Yelp
I appreciate the attentive and accommodating staff the many times I've visited over the years. This visit, my companion had the pot roast. I chose the deviled eggs, loaded potato poppers, and ribs. It was lovely to see the tasteful Christmas decorations.

Yelp
Great food. Good service for a busy Christmas Eve. The feel is like someone's house. I quite enjoyed our meal.

Yelp
Just off the 101 fwy. Plenty of parking. Restaurant is wheelchair accessible from the parking lot. Came for a late lunch. We were greeted by a very friendly host. Everyone was bubbly and friendly actually. Our waitress Kristen was awesome! She was on her game. Restaurant is clean and has a nice interior setup. Chill vibe and a bar opposite the dining spaces. You kind of get a country cabin feeling g inside. Tables are covered in a blue picnic themed tablecloth. Bathrooms were also clean and well stocked. Ordered a patty melt on marble sourdough. Came with grilled onions, pickle and salad on the side. My husband ordered the BBQ Baby back ribs that came with sides. His were mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Serving sizes were big. We could and probably should have shared. We both loved our food, very flavorful and enjoyed the customer service, and highly recommend.

Yelp
Really disappointing experience. We enjoy the Perry's in Larkspur, but I have no intention to return here. Nearly every item we ordered was subpar. The calamari was smelly and chewy and completely unseasoned. The fried chicken was under seasoned, but the worst part was that it was extremely dry and overcooked. The chicken was difficult to chew, and it took forever to come out. Our family was so hungry and waited so long that we could not afford to send everything back. Despite sitting by the kitchen, the server constantly walked by without checking on us. We had to flag him down to tell him about the calamari, and he didn't even check on the chicken. With that said, the mashed potatoes and garlic zucchini were good... but not good enough to support the price tag given that the chicken was so bad. Parking is fine. Happy hour seems fun at the bar. Ambiance if casual and family friendly. Seems like a missed opportunity for this Perry's location.

Yelp
Dining at Perry's was a very pleasant experience! We were seated by the fireplace, and the atmosphere indoors was great. Perfect for a rainy day! The service was quick, and our server was very caring and attentive. They also have a full bar, and the drinks were great. I have been here a few other times, and it has become my favorite place to go if I'm ever craving a burger. The 'Impossible' smashburger is to die for, topped with thousand island, pickles, and lettuce! The fries are a little bland, but always very crispy. I will definitely be returning when the open the outdoor seating for the spring!

Yelp
I had my daughter in laws baby shower yesterday. Everything went perfect. Restaurant manager Jenn ,was so helpful and accommodatiing during the planning process. Buffet lunch for 65 was delicious. Staff was flop notch, I didn't need to worry about anything. The room has a large fireplace which added to ambiance . Best place in Marin to host a large gathering. Pricing was reasonable.

Yelp
It was my first time ever to a Perry's. I know in the Bay Area it is a mini local chain of restaurants. I dined at the one in Novato, CA, having dinner. Absolutely luved the experience. The service was on point, the food was classic down home, the ambiance was chill and family friendly, and the pricing was not outrageous. The building interior is clean and modern. It had touches that reminds me of an European cafe with its cloth checkered tablecloth, flower vases on each table, and wood paneled bar counter and dining room accents. Our server was welcoming and was handling a bunch of tables. But was still able to provide great service. The menu options are classic Americana food including salads. It was so hard to choose. The table next to me ordered all ordered various salads, they were gorgeous and fresh looking in an ample serving size that looked very shareable. With that said, I landed on the fried chicken plate. It was 4 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes n gravy, and asparagus. Boy, it was delicious. The chicken was cooked well. Moist interior with a crispy, crunchy outside. I also ordered a bowl of chili. It was yummy. Hearty bowl of house made chili. This Perry's does have a 3% surcharge. On the menu they call it a health and wellness surcharge and it is not part of the tip. I know that other local restaurants in the area have the same type of surcharge and it varies from 3-8%.

Yelp
This place is in Novato. Nice open space tables are separate and nicely. Nice menu not overwhelming nice choices. Please come have a glass of wine. They have a bar nice bar setting.

Yelp
Perry's has been around forever in San Francisco and Larkspur and I have been to all the locations. My comment is that this location is the least desirable one of the Perry's locations. Food is average, service is attentive but more inline with a casual dining restaurant and ambiance is casual. Large room with not too much decor. Outside patio is nice for a warm summer afternoon. OK to try but not some place I would crave!

Yelp
Service and ambience. Sandwich good. Pickle looked old. Will come back! My family and I saw the commercial for it.

Yelp
This is an updated review from a little over a year ago. Yesterday was my daughter's baby shower. We held it in the beautiful Oak Room. From making the reservation, ordering the food, setting tables, guests special dietary needs, Jenn could not have been easier to work with. We had Debbie pouring mimosas and any other drink that was ordered. Including running to the bar and bringing coffee and decaf. She also bussed tables and made sure all the delicious remaining food was packed up to go. Our brunch included, beet, spinach and arugula salad, chopped salad with everything in it, breakfast strata, beef sliders, salmon filet and broccoli. Also a dessert tray. Chocolate covered strawberries, brownies and chocolate chip cookies. I am not much of a fan of cooked broccoli but this was fantastic. Still very crisp, bright green, garlicky with a crispy something on top. Loved them. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I can't recommend Perry's more. They made a very special occasion more special.

Yelp
Love Perry's. The patio setting and service are great. We ordered the calamari and onion strings to start, both are delicious. The burgers, fries, salads and fried chicken are all wonderful.

Yelp
Great place to meet friends. Sat in the dining room and watched the Workd Series. I appreciated that it wasn't too loud. Service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious

Yelp
Not much to rave about. The food is pretty blah and tastes very much like chain restaurant food. Nothing about the food was note-worthy. I've been there twice and the first time the service was great, and the second time the service was sub-par, and it was obvious the waiter was counting the minutes until his shift was over. On a positive note, Perry's is one of the very few restaurants in Marin that doesn't close early, so it is an option if you've been out and want to grab food before heading home.

Yelp
Everything went well, great food, terrific service , good selection, yadada, yadada, yadada.

Yelp
The food was pretty good, and we loved the outdoor patio for a lovely evening experience. Service was quite good, our waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered the French onion soup, which is prepared old world style in the clay pot with slightly crispy cheese drizzling down the side - it was perfect. My only complaint is with the martinis. I love them, and usually will order one before dinner when we go out. I'm sorry, but a perfect martini is served in a martini glass, not a champagne glass, or whatever that was. There were big chips of ice floating around the tiny glass, and it tasted watered down. Staff insisted it was not, but I love a good martini, and have had many of them. This was diluted, and that is never good in my opinion. I'll be back, but might pass on the martini this time.

Yelp
We recently went to Perry's for dinner to celebrate our son's birthday, and it was another excellent experience. We've dined here many times, and the food was once again delicious. The service is consistently great. Perry's never disappoints!

Joel K.

Yelp
Good for lunch; expensive and not filling for dinner. Had the Cobb salad for lunch -- delicious and reasonably priced. Went back on another occasion and shared the salmon with quinoa and the pot roast with mashed potatoes with my friend -- over $100 with 2 glasses of wine, with tip, and I was hungry by the time I got home. I'd go back for lunch, but not for dinner.
google avatar

Dave V.

Yelp
Great food, cozy/relaxing ambience with large open fireplace. Service friendly and competent.
google avatar

Millie B.

Yelp
I'm giving 3 stars for the entrees a they were ok. The lamb shank didn't have enough flavor and was a little watery. Everything else was decent. The salads are good and that is 4 stars. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. No complains there. On a Sunday night, this place is semi packed. We did have a reservation and so not sure what walk ins would look like. Overall, it's worth revisiting

Yelp
Haven't been to this location so we decided to drop in. We had a drink and split the Poke. Delicious. Would have stayed longer and had something else to eat but the dog was restless. Service was outstanding and the patio is really nice. Definitely will be back

Yelp
1/12/25 On a road trip with my girlfriend for her birthday this week, and after a long day of traveling, about 7 hours on the road, we were feeling a bit hungry and realized we hadn't had dinner. Luckily this place is right by our hotel, so my girlfriend and I decided to give this place a try and we are so grateful we did! Kristel was our server for the night and she was absolutely amazing! Our waters were never empty, our food came out within about 10 minutes of ordering; she realized my paloma wasn't out before the food had dropped and quickly went to grab it for me. Even provided us a dessert menu at the end of our meal and it was the best touch to such a tasty dinner. I had ordered the salmon, which comes with brussel sprouts which I personally don't like (growing up brussel sprouts always seemed unappetizing). However, it being on the plate I decided to give it a try and it was absolutely delicious! Kristel's attitude and persona is so inviting and welcoming. She was so kind and made sure that her tables were all taken care of. Might have to stop by again before our trip is over just for her service alone! Thank you so much Kristel for such a wonderful dinner experience!

Yelp
The food here was so bad, I was inspired to write this haiku: Soggy spaghetti Guaranteed now at Perry's Mal apetito I ordered the meatballs and spaghetti and, no kidding, it came out in less than 5 minutes which means 1) the noodles were precooked, or 2) I got the plate a previous patron sent back. I had great company though! She had burnt artichokes, also pre-burnt! The beer was good!

Yelp
Novato isn't exactly the restaurant haven of the universe, so it's great when something new arrives in town. Four of us headed over for brunch yesterday and we were not disappointed. I had the fried chicken (yeah, not really brunch but hard to resist) and it was cooked perfectly, NOT greasy, with a light batter that was tasty but didn't overpower the chicken. The southwest scramble was like huevos rancheros but with scrambles instead of fried eggs and was great, as was the southwestern salad. Dad thought his bagel & lox was too big to get in his mouth so he ate it one half at a time. I'd call that a first world problem. We arrived around noon and yet the service was AMAZINGLY fast, our food came within minutes and the wait staff was just attentive enough ( I think they were more focused on the Niners game but hey it worked out great for us ). Although we'll miss the old Wildfox we're happy that Perry's has taken up residence here in Novato.

Constance W.

Yelp
I was craving a filet mignon on a rainy day. I didn't want to drive too far so I searched Filet mignon on Yelp. Perry's Novato was listed and since I've never been, but have driven past hundreds of times, thought I would give it a try. My experience: Good things include a clean atmosphere, and Non-rushed dining. Challenging: loud environment. Something I realized about myself: I can cook a much better filet mignon myself at home.

Yelp
Dinner with wife and son's family of four. Good service, well laid out, plenty of seating and open ambiance. Menu was decent, having children options, and, of course, a wine list. Don't want to pass on the Grilled artichoke ($10.95). Nice aioli and nicely grilled. We liked it a lot. Kids thought it horrible. I had Old Fashioned Meat Loaf ($17.95) and along with creamed spinach ($5.95) it was a nice, satisfying meal. Lots of choices that run the gamut of sandwiches, meats (fish, beef, chicken, lamb), pasta and salads. Most everyone can find something they would like to eat. Prices reasonable.
google avatar

Toni S.

Yelp
I love to enjoy the salads here! It's so much fun to take a friend and dine. The ambience outside on the patio is beautiful with great big wonderful umbrellas. They have a great selection to your choice of tables here! They are pet friendly as well! I took my best friend "Sly" my miniature schnauzer. They served him a hamburger paddy as well! Love this restaurant it's definitely a staple in my area!
google avatar

Dina Y.

Yelp
Our server was definitely not the best. Our utensils had existing crap on it - she took it away and forgot to replace. There seems to be a lot confusion amongst the staff. Drink orders were delayed because they thought someone already took our order, and even after ordering it took over 10 min to get to us. Then we were given someone else's order by another staff member. After we finally got our meal - that was the last we saw of anyone. No check in, no additional drinks. The server basically came over and handed us our bill, when we were actually hoping and waiting for her so we could order dessert! So, we opted out for dessert since we were now being rushed out when the delay was on them. Anyways, don't think we will be returning here....at least not anytime soon.

Yelp
Thursday night..and busy, busy, busy. A new place for Novato to try out. Pot roast was tender and flavorful without lots of fat. Presentation wasn't very ap Mashed potatoes were tasty and veggies were Brussel sprouts. Magnolia salad was delicious with very good blue cheese crumbles finely distributed through the whole salad. Apples were sparse but the currents were plentiful. This was split and was abundant. French onion soup-dining partner was very happy with it. It was not a thin broth and was flavorful-not much of bread or croutons lost of melted cheese. Our two top was tiny-cafe sized and it was tricky with more than two plates at a time. Decaf coffee was good and strong

Kris C.

Yelp
Everything here is always so good. Service is good and attentive. Only issue is there's always seems to be some kind of large group from a kids team in big room who think it's ok to run around.
google avatar

Nate L.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on the 4th of July, hadn't been to this location since it had opened in Novato. The place is really nice inside & the seating is comfortably spaced. The service was really attentive and they already had a baby seat waiting at the table for us (as I had left a note in the reservation). The food was honestly not anything mindblowingly good, but it was tasty and the fresh chips were especially good. The only ding is that the drinks were a bit inconsistent. One drink another person in our party had tasted completely of tequila (believe it was the garden *something), and my drink in which I couldn't even taste the gin. I would definitely come back, but I'd hope for better drinks

Matthew F.

Yelp
Went here for the first time and it was bad. I've had better food at a bowling alley. Nothing was seasoned well. The food was just blah. We ordered 3 appetizers and all were incredibly greasy. I had the steak sandwich and the steak had no flavor. I tried my son's ribs. They tasted boiled then drenched in sauce. We ordered cookies and milk for dessert. The cookies tasted overcooked and old. Way over priced for the quality. Our server was not particularly friendly. We were visiting after the meal and an older Hispanic lady with short hair came over and very rudely asked if we need anything else. We said no and then she said they had a group of 28 people coming. It was very rude and passive aggressive. They had plenty of open tables in the front room. She could've offered to move us or been pleasant about it. No plans to go back.

Yelp
I went in with the fam for a week day dinner and to see the new restaurant. it used to be Wildfox which was a nice & decent place to take the family for a good meal. It was even a decent date place too. When we went in it was pretty busy. Lots of people, lots of noise. I understand that as it is a new place and everyone and their mama is curious so no big deal there. The look is clean, simple with accents of bay area culture and their own history which is a cool touch. Anyone can walk in and feel comfortable. Not too stuffy, definitely not a dive. Hardwood floors and open spaces so the noise really accumulates. It's even so noisy that if you call in to make a reservation you cant even have a conversation with the host/hostess due to the noise level. The nice thing is that the food is good. Pretty generous portions (your definitely not leaving hungry) and the pricing is in-line with portions, quality, etc. My only gripe is the fried chicken was a little dry but not the end of the world. We got calamari as an app and it was delicious. All 4 of us really liked it. Breading was right and it wasn't soggy which is one of my pet peeves. One thing that struck me as odd (really odd actually) is that there was a large table of older folks not far from us and one of them had a medical emergency that required the Novato FD to show up and cart this person out. Emergencies happen and that's just the human condition. What I thought was odd in this case was that their party just remained for a while and talked amongst themselves after NPD carted their friend out. :-0 Hopefully that person is OK. Anyways, swing by, check it out, have a drink (bar looks decently stocked BTW) and enjoy with friends & family. If you happen to be in the company of Friends & Family just be sure they are the ones to meet you at the hospital after they finish their meals & drinks lol.

Yelp
Worst hamburger I've ever had. I ordered it cooked medium. Arrived with 3 hard dry chunks of meat. Each lump of coal was a mouthful. Bun went flat and slimy immediately. 2 big slices of tomatoes and no lettuce? Sweet potatoes fries were shoestring sized and burned. Complete waste of money

Marie L.

Yelp
Service was terrible, food was worse. Clearly the only reason they are still open is because of the hotel. This was our second chance and you couldn't pay me to return. Thankfully Novato has better choices! Yuk!!
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
I had the best Mexican style salad and my mom had crab cakes, which she loved. Have dined for lunch several times and it's always great food. I'm not a fan of the picnic theme tablecloths. Stick with the patio!
google avatar

Patrick L.

Yelp
Very average food. Fried chicken was very dry. Gravy for the mashed potatoes was over seasoned with dill. Vegetables had way too much chopped garlic. Pot roast was just chunks of meat in gravy. Sat outdoors and was full of mosquitoes.
google avatar

Yelp
I really enjoyed myself here on a Friday evening at the bar. The place was packed and people were enjoying hearty meals all around. I chose to sit at the bar so that I didn't take up too much space. The bartender wiped it down upon my arrival and removed the dirty plates from the customer before. He was super attentive and very professional. I overheard him saying that he only works there once or twice a week and his original restaurant is somewhere else. I ordered the pot roast mashed potatoes with a side of creamy spinach. I really appreciated the menu and all the hearty options it had to offer. The prices weren't that bad either. I haven't seen a menu like this in Marin in a long time. I really enjoyed the food but it definitely could have used some more seasoning. The creamy spinach was bland bland. I mean no seasoning at all. The gravy was cooked to perfection, but the pot roast itself could have used a little bit more seasoning while cooking. The breadsticks with butter was a nice touch. My cocktail was delicious. I forget the name of it but it was bourbon with wine, OMG, the flavors complimented each other very well. The host at the front door was super pleasant and accommodating, which was a breath of fresh air. First impressions are everything these days and she left a gray one. All in all, I would definitely try this place again and I'm glad I finally got to stop by and support.

Yelp
Whisker in food. Rancid tomato. Hard bagel. Super disappointing because it looks so beautiful. Not sure how this restaurant is getting 4 out of 5 on Google. Won't be coming here again sadly.

Yelp
We had another delicious dinner at Perry's on Valentine's night. Saed our server was great and attentive. We shared the grilled artichokes, fried chicken, and lamb shank. For dessert we liked the hot chocolate chip cookies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Solid food, good service.
google avatar

Danny S.

Yelp
If you notice, the restaurant's reviews are all over the map. And I think I know why. It's all about expectations. I think the best, overall thing to say is what my dining parter said about her crab cakes. "It's generic." That sums up Perry's. It's not a "fresh local, seasonal ingredients" kind of place. But it's not Appleby's either. It's in the middle. It does seem be the kind of place where the kitchen cooks food, following the simple instructions passed down to all the company's restaurants from some corporate office. It's the kind of place that, if you can read the instructions, you can be the cook. That being said, it's not terrible. My pot roast was fine. Tasty. Nothing to brag about but also only $20. The included mash potatoes were ... interesting. Very creamy and smooth, but wih large chunks buried inside. It's like they wanted to make everybody happy. That or they just didn't stir it well. You decide. The broccolini was a combination soft ad hard. The think about broccolini is the stems are dense and need to cook longer than the thin flowers. You need to boil the stems for 30 seconds or so before cooking the rest. The crab cakes could have come frozen from Costco or Sysco. Certainly not made on side or with any fresh ingredients. It comes with the "odd sauce" to quote a friend. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant well laid out. It was once Wildfox ... a restaurant that went pricy without good food. It crashed and burned. I hope Perry's notes that. So, go but don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. It's fine. It's a solid 3.

G F.

Yelp
Way too expensive for the quality. Miss the old Wildfox. $20 burger should be at the very least 1/2 pounder. Cole slaw was not seasoned and just had mayo. Absolutely no flavor. Ruben came with almost no sauce and bread was soggy last time I was here. Nice staff but food is as bad as the last two times I came here. Last time.

Yelp
Really awful experience for lunch today. This was our first time at this location and I do want to say, the space is gorgeous. So open and clean and we'll designed. We were so excited to check out a new spot! The restaurant had about 2 other tables seated in the main space and a TON of staff so we were expecting an easy lunch. It took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive: a salad and a pastrami sandwich. Once the salad finally did arrive, it was 98% iceberg lettuce. My first bite gave me a full bite of PLASTIC. It was absolutely disgusting. Our server was nowhere in sight so had to track someone down... another 15 minutes later to let them know what happened. And then another 10 minutes for the manager to come out to apologize and bring us our bill. We were there for an hour and a half waiting for the entire time since we were too grossed out to eat. The manager was kind and apologetic and mentioned that things happen. I totally understand things happen! But for the bite of plastic after such a long wait time and disappearing staff, it's clear this restaurant is not ready for service. Will never go back and if you go, check for garbage in your food!
google avatar

Ash T.

Yelp
The food was terrible. That's it. There is nothing else to say about that. But that wasn't even the worst part. Bad food can be excused. But bad manners cannot. And that was the standout part of our experience here. In shirt, no one cleared our appetizer plates before the entrees came out. Fair enough of a mistake. But you would think that upon seeing this, a sane person would make a correction. Not so at Perry's. The very obviously disgruntled server brought out half of our entrees and, on seeing that our table was completely full of plates and basically with no room for anything else, proceeded to try to plop things down on top of all the appetizer detritus and, if he couldn't find space, he made very clear with his dirty looks and loud sighs of disgust that he expected us to make room on the table for him. But the best part is, instead of then asking someone to come clear our old plates or, god forbid, doing it himself, before bringing out the rest of our entrees, he just came on out and proceeded to try to stack even more food on top all the junk on our table. instead of letting him do this, I asked if someone could clear our plates. You would think I just told him I shot Santa Claus in the face with the nasty look he gave me. Like this dude just seriously didn't give a single shit and wanted the world to know and how dare I interrupt his non-shit giving.

Yelp
Great job replacing the old wild fox restaurant! I have nothing bad to say about this place, except parking is tight and main lot was full on a early Saturday dinner. We had not made reservations, so we were seated right away on beautiful patio with fireplaces and heaters, very warm btw. The food was very good, server Ramiro was excellent. The manager was very accommodating with the Tv service, food was a bit of a wait but they were very busy...

Yelp
It's opening night! Been waiting so long for this space to reopen since WildFox's closing. Same great atmosphere. Yummy food & drinks. Patio is my favorite! And still pup-friendly!!!

Yelp
Service was good but the food was mid. Our meals were fine, came out quickly and the service was friendly.
