Where to Find the Best Roast Chicken in San Francisco | Eater SF

"For a straightforward option, Perry’s has a simple half roast chicken served with fingerling potatoes and seasonal vegetables underneath in its jus. It’s moist, just salty enough, and very satisfying." - Eater Staff

Our waiter, Raoul, was welcoming and provided excellent service. The grilled salmon on couscous and especially the sliders were outstanding. Sure, it's an airport joint and the prices are high, but when you just want a nice meal and relaxed atmosphere on the way to a long flight while at SFO, I highly recommend Perry's!

Are here before my flight. I tried the Cobb salad and my friend got the BLT and fries. Service was friendly and they kept my glass full. My salad was very bland. It had all the right elements of a Cobb but was very underwhelming. The portion was decent though. My friend enjoyed his sandwich and fries and felt like it was a good value. Overall it was alright.

Google
Food was honestly pretty good compared to all the ratings that I saw. So I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it myself. I got a Cali Benedict (great portions and very good) and my husband got a turkey house club. Service was great! Very attentive.

During my recent stop at San Francisco International Airport, I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Perry’s, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax before my flight. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — exactly what you’d hope for in a quality airport dining experience. Every bite tasted like it had been made with care, and the portion sizes were just right. A special shout-out to our server, Caroline, who truly made the meal even better. She was attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Her positive energy and professional service turned an already great lunch into a memorable moment. She anticipated our needs, made excellent recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish. If you’re passing through SFO, I highly recommend stopping by Perry’s. And if you’re lucky enough to be served by Caroline, you’re in for a treat!

Google
Caroline is a wonderful and caring server. The manager on duty was attentive and ensured all my needs were met. I enjoyed my large Cobb Salad. The chicken was slightly dry, but all other ingredients very fresh and crispy. The restaurant was very clean. Music was the perfect decibel. Glad I made this choice. Recommend!

Our server, Caroline, was very nice and attentive. My southwest salad was Delicious! The eggs benedict is tasty, and the eggs were nice and fluffy.

Google
Great experience! After a long flight we stopped in, and Caroline was our waiter who made sure we had everything we needed. She was super friendly, very attentive. And the food was really great! Had the Impossible burger and it hit the spot. Recommended for a friendly atmosphere and hearty food.

As good as it gets in an airport. Great selection of food and drinks. Awesome service and great atmosphere. An oasis.

Yelp
It's one of the very few actual restaurants where you sit within in the terminal so for me that's worth a star. The chicken blt was nice but the top of the bun was oily, the side fries were limp and greasy, the Caesar salad was ample and fresh, a bit heavy on the garlic and dressing w not many croutons. It was just OK

Yelp
I should start this off by saying that I'm a seasoned traveler and I'm at SFO several times a month. While so many restaurants and take out spots are great, unfortunately Perry's was a definite miss. They sat me at a table at 4:20ish... it's now 4:45 and not one person has come by. The restaurant is not full at all, so I'm not sure what's going on. Update: 4:50pm someone came by. I ordered a glass of wine, but almost everything I ordered on the menu is no longer being offered. No poke appetizer, no mac and cheese, no southwest chicken salad. Waitress said they haven't gotten around to updating their menus. :::sigh::: There's a perfectly good food court across the way (SF Eats) and now I wish I wouldn't have ordered the wine and gone there instead. 2 stars for the super sweet waitress who came around and waited on me and also for them having my favorite Le Crema wine.

Yelp
Understanding that we are in an airport "bar," there's something to say about a $19 Old Fashioned. What you do not want to have to say, are these words, "That's it? That was the worst version of an OF for such a high price, that was so watered down, there was very light for an old fashioned..." The list is long as to what I had to say about the drink. The same went for the Long Island Ice Tea. Both, came slammed on the table tasting like lemonade and vodka. The only difference were the amount of ice and height of the glass. The French fries arrived tasting like the grease in the fryer had not been changed in weeks. As for the ambiance, the music was great. There could be more attention to details like sweeping. There's a tiny junk yard in development beneath the table by the kitchen door and water station. For convenience, you can order via QR code, however, they actually expect a tip to be added to the bill PRIOR 59 "service." A term I would use loosely considering you are only brought your food but no other service is given. Hey, it's an airport venue, but jeez put some effort into it.

Yelp
If you come to this restaurant I hope Dean is your server. He has amazing attitude & customer service. The restaurant smells amazing food looks good & taste good too. I definitely agree inflation & prices are always high but what do you expect when you eat at an airport.
google avatar

Akaraphong D.

Yelp
Not quite a good food compared to the price. Staff is not attentive and seems to be busy running around. Location wise, it's very good but it can be better. Before bringing food to the customers, please check if it's good enough to be served.

Sarah T.

Yelp
Got the sliders and fries. No salt on anything. No grilled onions on the burgers, as indicated by the menu. Honestly the ketchup was the best part of the meal and I had to flag my server down for everything.

William C.

Yelp
Had breakfast at Perry's and regretted my decision. Potatoes were undercooked, the Monterey scramble was swimming in oil and the fruit was old and wilted. Would not recommend this place.

Lex M.

Yelp
Great service! Eric and Caroline were very helpful, nice and kind! Delicious food and didn't wait long to eat.

Chuck G.

Yelp
These guys saved me, I had to come back and get a receipt the next day, and they helped me out big time. shout out to the manager Thursday night on 3/27. Food is great, and in a very convenient spot in the airport.

J R.

Yelp
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. My wife and I had a delicious lunch here. I would rank it as one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at in an airport. Absolutely no complaints at all.

Shane M.

Yelp
The general manager Eric was quite helpful and made sure we had a pleasant experience. Our server Caroline made sure we had everything we needed and was very good at what she does. Lunch was so good that me and my wife had to come back for dessert because we still had a long wait between our departure!!

Yelp
Came here to kill some time before our flight. They were out of the IPA that was on tap so we ended up each getting a bottle of Racer 5. The bf ordered a sandwich while I got a cheese quesadilla. They make their quesadillas with pepper jack here by default and it was awesome. I think I'm going to start requesting my quesadillas made this way going forward - while cheddar is good, the pepper jack just added an extra layer of deliciousness to the meal. The bf's sandwich was advertised as coming with chips with the side and while in retrospect, he admitted he should have realized these were actual potato chips, at the time of ordering, he assumed "chips" meant fries, like fish and chips. And he was really craving some fries and was super disappointed when the meal came out. He asked the waitress if she could take back the chips and she said that because he had already touched the food, she could not. We thought that was it and were disappointed but then she came back a minute later with a whole plate full of fries on the house - great service! They did have some flies buzzing around during our meal which was a nuisance. One fly actually landed straight into my beer, but once again our waitress gave us outstanding service by immediately swapping out my half drunk beer for a full bottle on the house. I would recommend checking out Perry's if you're ever in Terminal 2!

Yelp
Just a quick stop before my flight to grab a drink. Ordered a bloody mary with a double shot extra spicy. Flavor wasn't great and it wasn't really spicy, but it was decent. Bartender was really friendly and prompt about my order and taking my payment right away when I had to go to my terminal.

Yelp
If you fly Delta frickin' early in the godforsaken morning, then chances are pretty good that you'll end up here with your roller suitcase and your carry-on bag as you become preoccupied as to whether the airline staff will let you take both bags with you. Then you face a "Sophie's Choice"-level moment and anticipate letting out a silent scream of helplessness as you see them tag your roller suitcase where you have a 50/50 chance of ever seeing it again. But you can only deal with one crisis at a time because you didn't have time to make breakfast and the prospect of a pita & hummus box was not cutting it for you. Am I right? Jamie W. and I have ended up here at around 6AM on at least three occasions, and I get the same thing every single time, the $12.50 Tofu Scramble with Pan-Fried Potatoes and Sourdough Toast (photo: http://bit.ly/2bazJwU). It ain't art, but it has spinach, mushrooms and melted jack cheese that make the missing meat less missable, i.e, it just isn't airport-bad. Jamie sometimes plays it safe and get the $8 Fruit Plate, which is simply a mix of cut melons and berries, no fuss, no muss (photo: http://bit.ly/2aQT4Qd). Service isn't horrible here as they at least realize you may have a flight to catch, and the worst procrastinators always feel entitled to get served first. OK, that isn't us, I swear. FOOD - 3 stars...the tofu scramble is pretty dependable all things considered AMBIANCE - 2 stars...jeez, it's the airport, watch your toes because people don't care what they roll over SERVICE - 3 stars...more attentive than you'd expect TOTAL - 3 stars...it could be your best bet in the Delta terminal, small praise indeed

Yelp
We visited Perry's before our flight at SFO and loved the experience. I have no idea why this restaurant received such poor reviews on Yelp. I guess a lot of airport restaurants do. I have no complaints - both the food and service were superb. We ordered the house fried potatoes and the French Toast and both were excellent. The house fried potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crunchy, which I enjoyed a lot. The French Toast came with a nice sauce and fresh fruit. It was a really nice experience and service was quick, so we had plenty of time to make our flight.

Yelp
Just when I thought I would leave Frisco without eating a famous SF Sourdough Bread bowl with New England Clam chowder soup, I find it on Perry's menu! Phew! Paired perfectly with the Anchor Steam, a San Francisco local draft brewer. Perry's is the best choice if you arrived an hour early prior to boarding your gate at Terminal 1. The waitress who served us was efficient and even got my soup out before they ran out, and apparently they were almost out; another batch would have taken an additional 30 minutes to make. Lucky me! I say good bye to family and friends in the Bay Area and hope to be back soon.

Yelp
The terminal didn't have very many choices, if you want to sit down and have a drink this is your spot! We checked in with the hostess at the perfect time and were seated right away, this is a busy place so we watched a lot of people wait for tables after us. The menu is limited but has a good amount of variety, if you have a picky palate or more sophisticated you'll be able to find something. I ended up with the Reuben and B got their wings. Their goal here is to get you in and out fast and fed. I was pleased to find that the service didn't suffer! Our server was awesome and even with a crowded restaurant made small talk with us about her 39th anniversary with her husband (congrats to her!!) and asked us about our travels. If I was eating our experience on service alone it'd be a five for her!! We got our beers right away and the food came shortly after. Brandon really enjoyed his wings, but my Reuben was not the best. It seemed like only one side of the sandwich was grilled- the other was soft like fresh bread and the outer slices of corned beef were more like jerky than sandwich filling. The fries that came with the sandwich were good though and I'll be catching my flight with a full stomach. If you're heading to the airport try to eat before you get here, but if you stop in for some food go for the wings over the Reuben and if you're not in the mood to douse your sandwich in condiments to add some moisture go with one of their other choices. Service was great though!!!

Rude Customer service they give my husband someone order and made us feel bad about Thur mistakefought

Yelp
Not horrible, guys. Not horrible at all. I bypassed the line and grabbed a seat at the bar. This is honestly the only sit down restaurant in this terminal; there will be a line for a table. The cobb salad was $17. So overpriced. It however was large, full of fresh avocado, grilled chicken, bacon and a hard boiled eggs, all tossed in an oil vinaigrette. I've had better, but the portion was large and it was most importantly fresh. The dude next to me was mowing some chicken wings that actually looked legit. Airport wings legit? I went there. Sandwiches and burgers were more moderately priced than that salad, so although this place isn't cheap, you don't have to drop $20 on lunch. I'd definitely come again if I happen to be stuck in this terminal and hangry. I'd imagine service could be iffy when extremely crowded, but that's to be expected, no?
google avatar

Yelp
Poorly made eggs benedict. Untoasted english muffin, small piece of ham, icky hollandaise sauce for $15. Potatoes were great. Service was poor as they never offered a coffee refill.

Yelp
Delta Terminal - SFO I didn't dine in - I went to their to go counter and ate my food at my gate while waiting for my flight from SFO back to LAX. Food was OK considering it was a sandwich which may have been sitting in their display (refridgerated) for hours. A little pricey though but that's to be expected at all airports these days. But I had to eat and I didn't want to miss boarding the flight because I opted to carry on my luggage as opposed to checking it in - so I wanted to make sure I had an overhead bin. Anyway, back to the food. Chilled bread isn't my cup of tea. But it helped keep the veggies in the tuna sandwich crisp. Lots of tuna which was nice but still a little pricey. It was ok due to circumstances and I'd grab another again if I had to. Next time I may try dining in as their menu looked ok too.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
I only ate here because I had 3 hours to burn. Even then it was a mistake. For some reason, most of the breakfast items were the same price so I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The eggs barely passed for poached and the "hollondaise" sauce was basically butter. I can't believe I paid $14.95 for this sad excuse for Eggs Benedict. As a frequenter of many many airports, I've had my share of subpar airport food but this was probably the worst. The only redeeming factor was the service. The waiter was fast and very attentive.

Yelp
Perry's at SFO is our usual "go to" spot when flying Delta out of SFO. It probably deserves more than two stars, but giving it three is a stretch. On the plus side: good service that gets you in and out quickly. Real flatware, not plastic. Room for improvement: tables are crowded together. Ordinarily not a problem, but in an airport these days everyone has carry-on's that take up a lot of room. Prices are high, but not unexpected for an airport. Captive audience! And then there is the food. On some occasions the food has been decent. However, one time DH ended up with food poisoning (from the fish and chips or tartar sauce). Not pleasant when one is on a cross-country red-eye. Most recently we both ordered turkey club sandwiches. Heavy on the bread which was served barely toasted and quite cold -- as if it had been toasted hours before. Deli turkey, lettuce, and tomato. If there was cheese, I did not see it. My kettle chips were also cold but better than DH's fries. Standard beer and wine. Guess we need to check out some other options in this terminal.

Yelp
I'm a fan of Perry's but they failed at Corned Beef Hash and Eggs st the Airport location. Even ketchup and Tabasco couldn't save this mess. Can not recommend breakfast here.

Yelp
Note: this is a review of Pete's to go's almond croissant. I didn't try the sit down restaurant itself. I was looking for a croissant (one of my big downfalls is croissants!) to nibble on while waiting for my flight. There are basically 3 options in this terminal. As I walked back and forth (what else is a girl to do with 15 minutes pre boarding right?) I compared the croissants in the 3 places: Three twins ice cream - $3.50 Perry's to go - $3.25 Guava and Java - $2.95 The butter croissants all looked similar in size in the 3 places and they also had chocolate croissants too. What really caught my eye was Perry's to go had an almond croissant that was shaped like a butter croissant that just called out my name. I really like the traditional crescent shapes croissants because the shape makes the pastry extra flaky yet tender. Usually you see almond croissants that look more like the square chocolate croissants so this one definitely stood out to me. I knew I had made a good call when the traveller behind me say the cashier bring my almond croissant and promptly ordered one too! The croissant was as good as I hoped it would be. The top is topped with a few almond slices and dusted lightly with powdered sugar. Pulling the pastry apart, I found a delicious almond paste filling with in that was lightly sweet and quite delicious. Only thing that could make it even better would to have it warmed a little. Definitely coming back here next time in traveling!

Yelp
I really hate to bash on establishments, but airport restaurants either do a great job or a terrible one. Perry's falls on the latter half of that previous statement unfortunately. I have flown out of this terminal many times, but only visited Perry's twice, one for their quick to go counter and one time sit down waiting for a flight. Fast forward to their to go counter, your standard easy to product to go, yogurt parfait, fruit, sandwiches, etc. at the usual absurd airport pricing, but we all know and expect that at airports. Their yogurt parfait honestly saved it from a one star review as they tend to add extra granola and fruit compared to other chincy breakfast to go's where it is mostly just yogurt and no other additions to it. As for the lunch meal, the fish and chips were greasy and overall bland, I did not think this could be accomplished, but I guess so. For some reason they also took close to 40 minutes to arrive, which outside of an airport I "guess" that is okay, but this is an airport and most have to catch flights! Thankfully, I had a few hours, so it was not a huge deal. No need to mention pricing as we all know airports are not cheap, so I will skip over that portion of the review. Judging from the lack of no competition in this terminal I can see why Perry's could probably care less about what we say as they will continue to strive sadly. If I am flying out of Terminal 1, it's snacks for me now as Perry's just doesn't cut it sadly.
google avatar

Stefanie C.

Yelp
I'm skeptical about airport food by default. Throw in the fact that it's a to-go kiosk, and I'd almost rather not eat. Who knows how long the food has been out? Such was the case at Perry's. My boyfriend arrived at Terminal 1 for our 6am flight, and I was impressed that the kiosk was open so early. I grabbed a parfait because that seemed easiest. It was kinda gross how sweet the syrupy berries were. It made my stomach upset. But there was lots of granola if that's a consolation! Going to a place like this, I didn't expect much. Service was insanely fast, so for a to-go kiosk, they definitely did their job.

Yelp
This restaurant is judged on the international airport restaurant scale. I was quickly seated with a choice of the bar or a table. I selected a table. The server quickly came for my beverage order. The server also quickly returned to take my food order. The food did not come out lightening quick but it was fast enough. I ordered the breakfast sandwich It had "Canadian" bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese served on sourdough. The eggs were a little bland. The sourdough bread was a touch soggy. It was neatly prepared and easy to eat with your hands. Overall, it wasn't a bad sandwich. The potatoes were a little hard but I ate most of them anyway. http://tinyurl.com/42z66c6 Big complaint was the airport gouge. They really laid it on. A sandwich, potatoes, and very small orange juice came in at over $15. Ouch!!! The ambiance is clean and functional. http://tinyurl.com/3n3sk63 If the prices were even close to reasonable, they would have landed four stars on the international airport restaurant scale. Other than that, a decent breakfast with professional and courteous service.

Yelp
I had a 5 am breakfast here, and I must say that it was a pleasant experience. I had the eggs blackstone, which was delicious albeit a bit dense (way too much meat), my waiter was extremely responsive and friendly, and my food got here really quickly. Their eggs blackstone which is basically a meatier Eggs Benedict had a nice Hollandaise sauce, mildly acidic and of moderate thickness, served with potatoes on the side. Potatoes were diced and fried, and were quite flavourful (and therefore seasoned), though adding a bit of hot sauce on it doesn't hurt. If I do grab another Delta flight out of San Fran, I'd go to this place again.
google avatar

Yelp
Food isn't bad, had the cheeseburger. They were all out of salads and sandwiches, even though it was only 4pm when we came by. Food is a little pricey, but about what you'd expect at an airport. Biggest gripe was it took an eternity to get our check. Our servers shift ended while we were eating, and apparently they forgot about us. Had to remind the staff several times before they finally got to us. My wife and I were sitting her about 20 min twiddling our thumbs, waiting for our check. Not a trerrible experience necessarily, but I'd recommend trying other places at the airport before committing to Perry's.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Good for an airport, but not great. I hate that I slept in and had to eat airport food instead of food from one of the amazing bakeries or diners in San Francisco, but I was sick and slept in so I had to deal with my lack of options. The breakfast menu consisted of classic breakfast options: eggs, omelets, fruit, yogurt, and pancakes. The most interesting things on the menu were the Steak and Eggs and Eggs Benedict, but I didn't feel like paying $18 for a mediocre breakfast. There were also sandwiches and salads on the menu in you weren't in the mood for breakfast. I ordered the Denver Omelet with home fries and sourdough toast. The omelet was bland and the potatoes were overcooked and looked like the crumbs from the bottom of the bag, but with the help of some ketchup I managed to plow through the meal. Our server was fast and conscious that our time was limited. Wouldn't order my omelet again, but I would give their BLT a chance.

Yelp
Delicious veggie burger I've had in such a while! Way to go San Fran! Well cooked and literally my burger melted in my mouth!! Yummy!! Very cool restaurant in San Francisco's airport. I'd decided to quickly eat at the bar and grab a drink. Food is affordable and quickly served. Folks are friendly here as well.

Yelp
This is an airport restaurant so take that for what it's worth.... I had an hour to kill before my flight on New Year's Day. Amazingly, SFO airport was pretty dead but the restaurant was buzzing. There was no wait but the staff seemed pretty frazzled. It took a while to order, it took a while to get my food and it took an even longer while to get my bill which started to cut into my "down time" because now my plane was boarding. I ordered their veggie burger which came with fries. It was fine, it probably would have tasted better if it was warm but I didn't have any more time left to wait. You're probably better off buying some snacks from the store across the way but if you have a lot of time to kill, you can do it here.

Yelp
The food is okay, nothing spectacular. The items I had were okay but nothing to write home about and nothing super exciting. But it's definitely better than fast food. I wish they had one more sit down bar/restaurant option on this concourse because these guys always seem super damn busy with a line of frustrated, wanna be patrons waiting out front. There are two things, however, that impressed me about Perry's... First, despite being really damn busy, this place is run with military like precision and efficiency. I'm amazed how good they are getting people in & out and how fast the food comes out. Second, they don't rush you. I'm sure they WISH you'd leave fast so they can flip your spot...but they don't make you feel like you should. -Daddy Maxx Retro

Yelp
Complaining of inevitable is senseless in my view. It's food at the airport, we all know it. Decent burgers and beers, and they try to provide a good service. It's all one can ask for, really. Perry's might not be an ideal spot, but it's good enough for me. Also reminds me of the Barron Park donkey in Palo Alto, by the name of Perry, the real Shrek, he was a model for the movie. All in all, I'd recommend Perry's if you want a decent meal.
google avatar

George W.

Yelp
Not super big just like any other airport bar, The customer service was fair. Not really much they could have messed up! Derrick was very good at his job, beer selection could have been better but not his fault! The racer 5 by Bear Republic was a nice IPA and would try it again for sure!!
google avatar

Bethany W.

Yelp
Early flight, hangover kicking in, food was most definitely needed and my eyes literally lit up when I saw corn beef ash on the menu! The place was busy, being the only real restaurant option in the terminal so I grabbed a stool at the bar and was greeted by a very friendly waiter and a glass of water. I ordered the corn beef ash and continued pottering on my phone. The food arrived within 15 minutes. The toast was actually cold and eggs slightly under cooked for my liking BUT I loved the corn beef ash part. Good chunks of meat and plenty of ash-potato goodness. The waiter really was lovely and for a quick bite while you're waiting for your flight it's perfect. Don't expect the best quality and you'll be satisfied!

Yelp
You will see this place right around Delta area in Terminal 1 after you cross Security Checkin. Their Long Island doesn't taste like a Long Island. Staff doesn't seem to be friendly or doesn't enjoy what they are doing and they are just doing it because they are getting paid. I ordered a Quesadilla with Chicken and it tasted like Yuckkkk ...... and they are still serving it to customers.

Yelp
There's so few options in this terminal it's ridiculous. I think all of the Delta domestic flights are based here, so we fly from this wing a lot. There's only Three Twins Ice Cream, a convenience store and this restaurant. We've been to this restaurant a couple of times when my fiance is flying for business. The last time we came, it pissed me off. I asked the waiter which was better between the grilled chicken sandwich or the tuna melt, and he said the tuna is his favorite, so I said okay, we'll have the tuna. I didn't really pay attention; I just heard tuna is his favorite, but when the dish came, it was the wrong dish. We received the ahi tuna steak (also the most expensive sandwich on the menu - coincidence I think not). I was sharing with my fiance, and he ate his half, while I waited for ranch dip for the fries. He was content not to say anything and I hadn't seen our waiter at all. He didn't come by to ask if everything was okay, so when he finally came by for the check, I mentioned to him that he brought us the wrong sandwich. Now, if he had just acknowledged a mistake had been made, we've had been OK. But no, he proceeded to argue with me that it was in fact the correct sandwich. I said we ordered the tuna melt, and he said I told you the Ahi tuna was better. However, I had asked which was better of the two: chicken sandwich OR the tuna melt and he apparently said ahi tuna, and I only heard tuna. Whatever, it's ridiculous though. He made no attempt to acknowledge that there was an error and he made me feel like I was in the wrong as he argued with me in front of other customers. It was pretty ridiculous and quite embarrassing. Most importantly, the ahi tuna sandwich was disgustingly dry with a bit of gross pickled ginger on it. I really disliked this sandwich. The fries were decent though, but I'm so put off by the waiter and how rude he has. Just acknowledge that there may have been a misunderstanding at the very least, but he was adamant to stick to his guns, raising his voice in front of the whole restaurant. Crazy. I wasn't even heated or anything. This wasn't an argument; I just wanted to let him know an error occurred. And I would have expected him to at least charge us for the lesser priced sandwich (the one we ordered), or asked if there was anything else he could do, or something to make nice, but no. Just, you're wrong...that is the sandwich your ordered! Oh well...if you need to eat, this is pretty much your only option. It'll be fine, but certainly in Yelp's words "meh...I've experienced better" is SO accurate.

Yelp
Don't you love it when an airport dining experience ruins the start of your vacation? Of course you don't, but airport restaurants love to torture us so they continue to do so while pocketing our money. First flight out of the day means no time to catch breakfast on the way to the airport. Flying Delta also means you will be here in Terminal 1 where Perry's is the only place to get a full-service cooked-to-order meal. I didn't expect much as a vegan, but I inquired about the tofu scramble. I told them-"I'm vegan. Is that possible?" My server said yes, we will just replace the butter with oil. Perfect. I drank my orange juice and waited. 10 minutes later, a plate is set down in front of me which has to be the most depressing breakfast I've ever seen. 2 slices of "toast" which was barely toasted. The breakfast potatoes were obviously frozen, then cooked, but was luke-warm at best. Some pieces looked like it hadn't touched the pan. The "tofu scramble" was actually EGGS whith tiny pieces of tofu scattered throughout. Even if I did eat eggs, these were miserable looking. I realized the miscommunication that happened and flagged my server down. I (very very nicely) explained that I can't eat eggs, I didn't realize the tofu scramble dish was actually an egg scramble, and that I was sorry for the misunderstanding. (Even though I had told her I was vegan when I ordered it). She looked at me and questioned it, "No eggs?!" Rolled her eyes at me, shoved the plate at another worker who went to the cook to fire a new entree up. Another employee served me when my dish was finished and fortunately, it was correct this time. And honestly, just the tofu (which was cooked with mushroom and spinach) looked much better than the egg mess I got before. My server never checked up on me again and was really hard to find when I needed to get my bill and pay. (Which is crucial since we ARE in an airport). I get that it is early. I get that you have a lot of people to tend to. But I communicated everything on my end. Plus, I apologized for the misunderstanding, which you never did. So, 1 star for Perry's. Not that I have any hope that it will change the quality of their service in the future.

Yelp
Kinda sucks that this is really the only place available in these gates. Bloody Mary's suck. Food is always burned. Service is mediocre at best. Get something else if possible.

Yelp
I did something I [almost] never do - I flew unprepared. I'm normally something akin to that mom with a giant handbag, but for myself -- armed with snacks and things to keep me satiated throughout my journey. For once, I thought I'd treat myself at the airport. After wandering up and down several times (this terminal did not make food-shopping easy), the only thing I found that I could eat was at Perry's. I got their Ham and Cheese sandwich, and it had minimal filling stuffed between very stale bread. Such a bummer. :-( The only plus was that the cashier was nice.

Yelp
This place has terrible reviews so I was conflicted about what to order for breakfast. I asked the waiter for his recommendation and he recommended the Denver omelette. I got that and it came with hash potatoes. I also ordered a fresh squeezed OJ but they ran out so I settled for pineapple juice. The omelette was AMAZING. Every bite was delicious and full of fresh veggies. The potatoes were okay, nothing special. The toast was more dry than the Sahara desert. The pineapple juice was obviously from a can. The server was awesome; he was very nice and attentive. If you're coming here for breakfast, get the Denver omelette. You will not regret it!

Yelp
#164 Great place to stop for lunch before my flight. I love that this place is in the Delta terminal and I do not have to search for great food and a good drink before my flight--it is right here next to my gate. My server came and briefly greeted me as he was beyond busy helping the guests in his section. He asked me, "What time is your flight?" I thought that was really awesome because he was then able to discern which guest was in the most imperatival situation and helped them accordingly. He rested a small napkin on my table, pointed out the menu and said he would be right back--and he was. When he returned, I asked about a few selections on the menu and "we" decided on the Ahi Tuna Sandwich and a martini. I say "we" because he helped me decide between a few items, offering descriptions and personal preferences. The martini arrived shortly after with a smile and a promise that the food would be out shortly. My service was above par, and really wonderful. My sandwich was divine. I wish I had another one right now :) Stephani Smiles for Perry's ;)

Yelp
Definitely a good choice if you're in the Delta terminal @ SFO. Surprised to see some of the negative reviews. For breakfast I went with the Bagel & Lox - outstanding. Service at the bar also excellent. All of the dishes I saw come out looked good - the Eggs Benedict most notably. Menu selections were interesting as well offering some less standard breakfast items. Check it out!!!

Yelp
To be fair, if you are in the Delta wing at the airport, this is really your only option. You could walk to the end and get in the take out line but if you want to sit down and eat an actual meal, this is it. I would give them 4 stars for the veggie sandwich. I was surprised to find such a tasty vegan option and you can upgrade to sweet potato fries for an extra $2. But 2 stars for the BLT, which was ok but the waiter added chicken to it? and charged us for that, when we didn't ask for. and maybe 1 star for the very sweet hostess who literally drags chairs across the floor, never noticing that the loud banging sound stops all of the diners who stare at her until she picks up the chair. (she is little. maybe someone else could re-arrange tables for her?) ti's already really loud in an airport without adding to it.

Yelp
We paid to dine in yet we end up with to go boxes NOT their fault! Loved my grilled salmon sautéed veggies and mixed greens! dressing that came w was really really really really really good YUM my bestie devoured his tacos so I didn't get to taste or I was too busy eating mine. We had to eat before our plane took off. The place was absolutely crowded and we almost didn't get a table but we did, but we didn't need to LOL I think some of the negative reviews are expected in this crowded restaurant....... Next time I am in the airport I'm definitely eating here again!!

Yelp
This is the only sit-down or hot food place in the terminal. The selection is typical bar fare with minimal options and high prices because you're in an airport. I had the chicken club which had a fair amount of grilled chicken and not very crisp bacon. The grilled chicken was tasty and the bacon could have been better. Overall the sandwich was good. The club came with kettle chips which tasted fresh, but could have used a little seasoning. Our server was friendly although busy.

Yelp
Got here at the airport and through the check-point. Once past the checkpoint, all there is to eat at is Perry's. Sit down or take-out. It's pretty busy so what the heck. Had three people but we go seated in a table for two and squeezed in somehow. So not a lot of expectations since it's the airport. I ordered the Perry Burger with jack cheese. It was actually char grilled. It was juicy and nicely cooked with a nice soft bun. Comes with lettuce, tomato, and onions. Not bad. The fries look golden brown but weren't crispy. This tells me they have been sitting there for awhile. So fries were okay not great. Wife had the fish & chips. Fish was little greasy but good. Very moist, tender, and fresh. Only problem again is the fries. Not crispy to my liking. My son ordered the club sandwich which had turkey, bacon, lettuce, & tomato or three pieces of toast. Toast was a little limp. It was okay not great. Again fries not great. Service was good. Got our water cups pretty fast and waitress kept our water cups filled. Our server was very nice and friendly. So I liked our service. Overall, if you can really wait and not eat here then this is your best option but if worst come to worst, it's okay. Not bad food but what do you expect at an airport.
