We had lunch with a group of 4. Promptly seated and given a basket of bread. This was Friday so of course everyone got the pork chop. The chop is $19 and it’s the size of a dictionary. I’m not even exaggerating either. It’s colossal and comes with mashed potatoes. I had a piece of my companion’s since I ordered a burger. It was great. If you ask they’ll cut it in half so two people can share. The burger comes with really thick sliced bacon and cheese of your choice and well seasoned fries. The presentation was top notch. The burger itself was great. I didn’t try the seafood stuffed mushrooms but my companions said they were good. I had an old fashioned and it was exquisite. Our server was absolutely a top notch professional, and it’s not a knock on Perry’s but if feels like this guy should be working at Michelin star restaurant. The atmosphere is cool too.

We surprisingly got a same day reservation acceptance for Mother’s Day yesterday for 7pm which was great. The place was packed but we didn’t have to wait for our table. The bread and butter was fantastic- warm crusty bread with a soft interior. We ordered a half dozen blue point oysters and my gosh they were the best oysters we’ve ever had- so fresh. We then split a lobster bisque and it was divine- although there were scarce little bits of lobster in it. Then we shared a 10oz fillet with Oscar topping and creamed spinach. Both were outstanding- steak cooked perfectly. The waiter Nicolas was only 22 but surprisingly very professional with just the right amount of attentiveness. We’ve been before several years ago on a Mother’s Day and it wasn’t as good as yesterday. The staff seemed to handle so many people with precision and kept the quality of the food and service at an excellent level- good job Perry’s!

Obviously the food is delicious but the service is what truly sets it apart. Our server Jamie was beyond outstanding. I've literally never been so impressed. She made a wonderful evening even more memorable.

We arrived for bar bites, no reservation needed. The staff was attentive and efficient. The food was excellent, we didn’t wait long for dishes to arrive. The waiter was very friendly and engaged with our table. This restaurant is consistently good.

Kelsey was great! She was our server for the evening, she was so sweet and made sure we had a great experience. Love going to Perry’s for our anniversary. Food never disappoints!

Early Friday lunch & this spot was hopping! Best bet is to make a reservation especially if your lunch time is limited or you are celebrating a special occasion! Great & quick service! Did not feel rushed and enjoyed our leisure lunch & celebrated! Had the lunch special pork chop with whipped potatoes & creamed spinach. Creamed spinach tasted a bit canned, unfortunately. They did offer gluten free bread service which was great because most places do not but I think it would be better to offer a gluten free roll instead of sliced white bread, since the regular bread is a roll. The whipped butter was delicious! Also ordered loaded whipped potatoes for two which honestly could have served 3 or more with all the food we already had! Also ordered the New York strip flight which was outstanding! Really want to come back to try the caramelized prime rib next! Desert was the pretty common crème brûlée which was well done & then the bananas foster. Impressive that they offer so many gluten free deserts! Overall great experience and look forward to returning as they were quick to accommodate gluten allergy & a clearly marked menu!

We came here for our first wedding anniversary. We each had steak and shared the corn brulee and potatoes au gratin. The sides were phenomenal but the steaks were lacking a little flavor. We enjoyed the experience and the creme brulee was the perfect ending. Our waiter David was great and ensured our water glasses were always full.

Google
One of the best steakhouses in Houston. Don’t miss the pork chop; it’s spectacular and cooked like no other place in town.

Yelp
Super chill vibes! My waitress was Marissa, she was super attentive and I can tell she was very happy to be here! Definitely give her a raise! The food and drinks were the best! I came in for a work function and let me tell you we had fun! I definitely will be back again!

Yelp
Never disappoints! This is probably my favorite restaurant! I always get the French onion soup, salmon, creamed spinach, and crème brûlée. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. Perfect romantic atmosphere. Low lightening and they do not rush you. Love, love, love!

Yelp
Came to celebrate Father's day at Perrys. Scott was our server. Very professional and nice. Our party ordered the Fried shrimp platter, filet and lobster, grilled seabass, and two pork chop Sunday specials. Everything was delicious as usual with Perrys top notch standards for excellence. Pork chop carved table side. So yummy. Plenty to take home.

Yelp
Food and service are always on point. Usually come to get the pork chop but splurged today on a Saturday to get the New York great choice too brussels sprouts are always a great add-on. Forgot to take a picture though.

Yelp
Food, Service and experience were top notch. Flew into town to take some clients out to dinner and couldn't have picked a better spot. Was thoroughly impressed and grateful for our time here. The Wagyu on my flight of steaks was the best steak I've ever ever had in my entire life. Literally like eating meat butter.

Yelp
Perry's is a staple in the community. Miguel and Matthew are the bartenders of bartenders. It's always a pleasure the food is always okay but never extraordinary....overpriced for nothing.

Yelp
I've visited Perry's Steakhouse several times, and each visit has been consistently enjoyable. The service is top-notch, the drinks are satisfying, and the food is absolutely fantastic.

Yelp
The kids and I decided to try something different this Thanksgiving, so we headed to Perry's. I was the only person who tried the Thanksgiving dinner, but everyone loved their choice. Even with a last-minute reservation, we had a great table in a cozy corner of the restaurant. The salad portion was too large to finish. I brought over half of it home for leftovers. The same applied to the smoked turkey entree. I'll have the best turkey sammie ever tomorrow ;) I grabbed a serving of the pumpkin cheesecake to go, and I haven't seen it since.... My son tried a seasonal steak with cream corn. My daughter had an old favorite: chargrilled salmon. Everything was well prepared. Our server Dustin was the best. Even though he was away from his family on Thanksgiving Day, he showered us with bright smiles and excellent service! I can't wait to see what the Christmas menu holds!

Yelp
I was in town for work with a few coworkers and we had been hard at work the past few days and we wanted to celebrate a job well done with a nice meal. Naturally we thought a classy steak house would do the trick. However, we were in for a night of disappointment. Everyone at our table ordered a premium cut of steak. Prices ranging from 50-100 dollars. 4/8 of our party members had to send their steak back due to being horribly miscooked with some being overly raw and others being extremely well done. Even after sending them back and waiting 20 minutes for a new steak 2/3 of the returned meats were still not at the desired temperature. One of the pieces of meat they were able to get an OK temperature on ( still overly cooked but my friend was too nice to send back) he was cutting into the meat and there was a piece of metal in there! Talk about safety hazard. These are the kind of establishments that are a blight to the community overpriced and low quality

Yelp
This was an absolute treat. We were with friends in the Houston area and they told us we needed to try this amazing pork chop on a Friday special. In short we got these amazing pot hops that were almost 3" think and with mashed potatoes. It was insanely good. Our waitress, Jamie was fun and engaging and so perfectly attentive. She had been there 15 years and just bailed it. We hope they open one in our neighborhood but until then, we plan on coming back whenever in the Houston area or wherever these places are situated as there are many of them in Texas. This was a top drawer experience for the food and service. Way to go!

Yelp
Oh so good. Hubby wanted a date night and we ended up at Perry's I has the ahi tuna and he had the pork chop. Ohh so good. I also had the artichoke leak soup. Amazing. I asked for the recipe for the soup and the rub for the pork chop. You can buy the seasoning! And last. Guess what I did check out the bathroom- and wow. Stalls are clean and Huge. Rare to find this. Thank you Perry's for a great night.

Yelp
I attended a private event here this past weekend. We were in a separate room. It was freezing! Bring a jacket if you ever come here for a private event! Anyway this redfish was delicious! It had a pesto sauce and balsamic glaze. I like the way that it was presented. It was different. We also had mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and grilled vegetable sides served family style. Everything was very good! I will definitely come back and bring the family.

Yelp
This is the best pork chop I've ever had - slow roasted, juicy, flavorful. Service is always good. And the ambience is terrific. This is a high end steak restaurant with a pork chop that is out of this world for $19 (Friday lunch). It comes with mashed potatoes and apple sauce.

Yelp
I went in on a Friday for HH my friend and I each ordered an appetizer and had 3 drinks each. The food was ok, the drinks weren't to my liking. Between my friend and I we tried four signature cocktails, a specialty drink created by our waiter, and at one point I just ordered tequila on the rocks because I wanted to taste the alcohol. $150 later with tip I left hungry and sober. Meh....

Yelp
Perry's is one of our favorites. We tend to visit at least once a month. When we dine in, we request Chris to be our server. He's great and attentive. We've tried almost everything on the menu and we have yet to be disappointed. I love their Caesar salad with anchovies. The Perry's pork chop is my husband's favorite. My only complaint is their dessert menu. Why can't they just serve classic cheesecake!? Perry's, please add this to your menu.

Yelp
Exceptional each time, absolutely the best in food and atmosphere and service. It was a wonderful early dinner for Mother's Day

Yelp
Thanks to a gift from our daughter and her boyfriend, we enjoyed a delicious Friday Lunch Special Pork Chop along with 3 sides and dessert. This seemed to be a very popular day and time since the parking lot at this Champions location was packed, and we were a bit apprehensive and didn't know what to expect for this our first time eating at Perry's. We got in just after our 1:00 PM reservation time and had maybe a 10-minute wait before we were seated. Walking in, I was surprised to see how packed the place was, and kind of noisy. While the decor and lighting were nice, there were too many people and too much noise for my taste, hence the 1 star drop from the rating. Other than that everything else was top-notch. The hostess service was friendly and welcoming, and our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The pork "chop" was 3 chops thick, and too much for me or my wife to finish. We also had 3 sides between us and that added up to a lot of food. The pork chop was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The Brussels Sprouts side dish was also outstanding and was deliberately chosen to see what they could do with it since I and not keen on either brussels sprouts or grilled anything. It was the best of the Sides and that is saying something since they were all delicious. The reservation email said attire was "business casual" and while most customers conformed, some clearly did not know what that meant, or maybe it was not enforced at lunch. There was, nevertheless, a touch of class to the atmosphere which was reflected in the menu prices. I would recommend this as a place to go for a special meal, and maybe times other than Friday Lunchtime would temper the buzz down a bit.

Yelp
Been wanting to try Perry's for over a year or so and finally went on a Saturday evening. Easy reservations and we were sat right away. Our waiter Jason was great. Very friendly, talkative, kind. Spinach artichoke dip was a 4.5/5. Great taste and not watery, very thick and nice. Calamari with cherry peppers 5/5 my favorite dish of the night. The calamari was perfect to my liking. Thick cuts with nice batter and cook, the addition of the cherry peppers was iffy when I first saw photos online but they were awesome. I would go back just for these anytime. Pork chop skewers were tasty, a little dry to my liking but very good. I wanted to order the huge pork chop but it was too much for us so we got these instead. 4/5 very tasty. Cream spinach was ok. 3/5 not near the best I've had. Wasn't horrible but wasn't great. Corn brûlée was tasty. Kinda reminded us of Mexican street corn. 4/5 Mac and cheese was a solid 3.5-4/5 wasn't great, wasn't bad I ordered the seasonal special Koji-Aged filet mignon but they were out so I ordered the Akaushi Wagyu filet mignon. This was a beautiful tasty price of meat. 5/5 for sure. It was better than the A5 Wagyu we got at mastros because it was leaner, meatier, and didn't have all the marbling fatty taste oozing out of it. We ended up getting the rocky road bread pudding. This was a solid 4/5. Tasty. Would definitely go back here again and we are super glad we tried it.

Yelp
Group of 7 - gratuity included and we paid. No problem here. $700 tab - he got $120 tip. This is when it goes wrong: waiter forgets to go order so we place it separately then he took it upon himself to add a $15 tip to the to go order and his excuse was because it was for a large group. Bad excuse, we had already paid for the large group and when I asked him for a separate bill so that I can expense it - he said no then the manager (who was beside him the entire time) said he didn't ring it up so he couldn't do anything about it. Uhm - you lost me as a customer for $15 - stupid. Food wasn't all that so meh good, bad service then stealing. Big no for me.

Yelp
Out of all the Perry's Steakhouse on the Northside of Houston, this one always takes the cake. Ambiance and decor is always on par, and service top notch. Their pork chop specials on Fridays has always been consistent. Literally here once or twice a month on Fridays. They know what they're doing compared to other Perry's.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant! Very cozy with great food. Had the famous pork chops and it was delicious! Nice night out for a special occasion!

Yelp
What a disappointment!! I made a reservation in advance for our 47th anniversary. It started off great with us being seated quickly at a table with rose petals. Then it went downhill quickly. No waiter, no drink orders, not even water. We waited 20 minutes with waiters serving tables all around us. We finally walked. At the door a manger asked if we enjoyed our meal what meal! They asked if they could make it right. Nope the mood was ruined.

Yelp
Great food with a very nice atmosphere with a very casual vibe. I enjoyed the meal and the company I was with. If you liking to try something different in a steakhouse this is the place.

Yelp
1. Service - I have mix feelings with my experience at this location. I'm pretty disappointed in how things were handled. We came here on Mother's Day, and I do expect that on a day like this, it can be chaos for a restaurant. There's a huge influx of people, and the kitchen will need to be like a well oiled machine for a successful day. Unfortunately, we had to wait for 1.5 hours before the food came out. That's a pretty long wait, you would think that the restaurant would compensate you for their timing (like free chips/free appetizers). When we needed extra napkins or an extra fork, the waiter was no where to be found. He didn't even refilled our drinks. He just kept apologizing for their delay. I think that management should have staffed up in the kitchen as well as the wait staff so that the waiter would not have been stretched thin. The experience of the customer is not always about food. Service is equally as important. 2. Price - Depending on what you order, Steaks can vary from $40-$100 a person. Seafood entrees vary between $30-$40. 3. Ambiance - Restaurant looks pretty, tall ceilings, and upscale. A great place to bring friends, family, or a date. 4. Food - I've ordered a FILET MIGNON with French Fries, and a side of corn brulee. Meat temperature was not cooked to order. However, it tasted great. Just as what I've expected at any Perry's. Unfortunately, the food took too long to come out. 5. Cleanliness - Dining area was clean, and the restrooms were clean. I witnessed plates falling to the ground twice during my visit. I applaud them for how fast they cleaned up after their mess.

Dennis M. J.

Yelp
Another first class Perry's experience for us both. Caesar, wedge, filet, salmon, desserts, martinis, phenomenal service from Hannah - always such a pleasure and a great way to spend a Friday afternoon.

Yelp
I sure do miss this location! We moved north so we visit The Woodlands location now but they don't hold a candle to the food, service and ambiance as Cypresswood. You guys were always on point!!

Yelp
Went for our anniversary and they had wonderful service, wonderful selection make sure to check what their menus are looking like ahead of time though. Also great atmosphere, there is a slight dress code though so nothing to casual. Amazing food, drinks, and service

Yelp
Great food & Amazing drinks. Great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and very caring of your experience. Management makes a special point to make sure you are being well taken care of & that you are enjoying your evening.

Yelp
We like coming to this place this time around I wanted quick drinks with friends so we just went to the bar. Great service and great drinks. Appetizers are big and shareable for at least 3 people.

Yelp
We've ordered burgers a couple times via DoorDash and it was pretty good. The pork chop bites and fried lobster was disappointing and 3/4 of the crème brûlées I've ordered was burnt, however we overlooked it because things happen with to go/deliveries. We decided to finally go in person on a Thursday afternoon around 4:30, called about the dress code and made a reservation. We got there, waited a bit and then were sat. We were the only table when we first arrived, other tables didn't arrive until halfway through our meal, soul it was nice to experience the stillness while it lasted. The ambiance was okay, the more people that showed up the more stank the energy got, but HEY it comes with the territory when you're young, rich and not the majority. The manager approached us after our server, Liz took our order and asked my husband to remove his ballcap, stating it's a policy in the main dining area and although cowboy hats are allowed, ball caps were not. If we were in the bar, no biggie. He even said that the hosts sometimes don't know the dress code when we asked why someone else didn't tell us, when we called and when we walked in. Why they have a dress code that nobody knows and enforces "based on discretion". SIDEEYE, but I guess, "fine dining" has its rules. Just a little weird that the host and server didn't mention it. We use to be servers soul we get it, manager to communicate & keep things civil, and our server confirmed that's the reason why they had a manager tell us because "people can get rowdy". Oh okay. We started off with bread and the steak and tater tots, it was good. The tater tots could've been more crispy, it was a little mushy for me personally. We also got the mango fizz, it was meh. I guess I was expecting more than carbonated water and the regular bar mango puree. I got the snapper and my husband got the fried shrimp with a 4oz lobster tail each. Im just gonna be straight forward, it was alright. The snapper skin wasn't as crispy as it could've been, the green potatoes weren't that good, the seasoning in the fish was a little light and the lobster tail was too salty even with the lemon. My husband and I are foodies and we love to eat good! This was a 4/10 experience for a place that should've been 10/10. Let's be real, when the kitchen is off, there's really no point of sending it back, it's the same cooks, you've wasted your appetite and it should've been executed right the first time, especially at a establishment such as this. For the price and experience, this was the most underwhelming overall fine dining experience that we've had. Not sure if we needed to order more higher priced items or steak since it is a steakhouse, (a look from the other table indicated we should've done just that), however we will not be ordering anything other than the burgers from now on. The reviews might have been on to something with this location! Seems like the food is better when they don't know what you look like.

Joe A.

Yelp
We lived near Perry's in Champions and hoped to become regular patrons. Over time, however, the quality of the steaks declined--the meat became tougher and more challenging. The boiling point for me happened when, after serving dessert, pie, and ice cream, the steak was so tough I watched the ice cream melt as I chewed the steak. We may try them again to see if things have improved.
google avatar

Henry G.

Yelp
Ordered to go and took foreeeeever. Simple items form the main menu. There was no one in the curbside pick up but me and it still took forever. A worker came out and told me that it was taking a little longer for some of my items (again from the main menu) and then I didn't see ANYONE for another 20-25 minutes.

Yelp
I almost never write bad reviews of any restaurant, being a long time restaurant worker, server, manager and chef myself, but I feel compelled to be truthful about my dinner on December 21st, 2023 with my husband, celebrating my recent promotion at work. It was nothing short of awful. We spent a couple hundred dollars for lousy, oversalted food, very poor service and a genuinely bad experience. We arrived slightly early for our 7 pm reservation and were seated quickly, since the restaurant was not very busy at that time. It was surprising to see how many tables were open, since the parking lot seemed to suggest that it would be much busier. We were assigned one of the newest waiters, I guess, and he was very green and inexperienced. He gave us a "Tour of the Menu," which was completely unhelpful when it came to steering us away from bad choices, of which there were many. I ended up choosing the filet and lobster tail, which ended up being so, so very tiny for the price we paid. When the dish was delivered, the food runner asked me to cut into the tiny steak to check if it was cooked to the proper temperature, and it was. Unfortunately, the steak was so over-seasoned with salt and pepper that it was nearly inedible. The tiny lobster tail, which I chose to have "grilled," was also coated with tons of salt and pepper, and it was overcooked to the point of rubber. The promised "butter fondue" from the menu description was not in evidence. Dry, dry, dry. Our poor, inexperienced waiter came around to our table a couple of times to explain that he couldn't find any bread for us. I guess only the best waiters deserve to have bread to serve to their tables in a timely fashion on a Thursday night. We did eventually get some bread and it was the most delicious thing we were served all night. I visited the ladies' room and it was quite filthy. The soap spigots were not operational and there was one little pump bottle of soap available. The trash bins were overflowing. I have been to cleaner, more well-maintained restrooms at the local Wal-Mart, frankly. Even though we made the reservation with the note that we were celebrating my promotion, no mention was made of our occasion. As I walked through the dining room, I saw that about one third of the tables had plates stacked from finished courses, waiting to be cleared, and this was consistent with our experience, as nobody cleared our plates when we were finished, nor offered dessert, even though the restaurant was not even full. If I could give zero stars, I would. I really wanted to like this place, since it is so close to my house, but it was very expensive and I didn't like anything about my experience.

Yelp
Amazing ambiance fantastic service best meal I've had in ages. I got the pork chop w mashed potatoes. IN-CRED-IBLE. My husband had salmon. It was cooked to perfection!! Service was on point. Reasonably priced and enough for at least 1 more big meal left over. I cannot wait to go back.

Yelp
Went on a Thursday to dine and made a reservation and was running late so I called ahead and there was no issue and seated right away by the GM and that was a nice touch. We were informed of the seasonal features and had one of, if not the best dining experiences at Perry's. Jamie (you know who I speak of) went above and beyond to ensure our table was taking care of and all points were met. My wife had the "three kings mignon" while I had the steak and lobster. The lobster was a bet overdone but with the excellent service and good company I won't fault them. I can honestly say that I will not have oysters anywhere else because they were divine! Water was never empty and wine was always filled and that really separates a decent restaurant from a place where you you want to splurge on a week night.

Yelp
My husband and I went for our 20 year Anniversary. Our server Byron was great. No complaints at all. Our food was delicious as well as our drinks.

Yelp
Great Christmas Eve Dinner! Our waiter, Brandon took excellent care of our group. He was pleasant and he was careful not to hover; but he made sure to check in at just the right times. As always, dinner was delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly. You can never go wrong with Perry's.

Yelp
I love Perry's STEAK HOUSE. Their pork chops are one of my favorite. You will not be disappointed.

Rusty ..

Yelp
Food is good. Sometimes the noise is a little loud but we still enjoy going there. Have been going to Perry's since the early 1990's when the only one was in Clear Lake I believe. But the majority of our visits are either at The Woodlands or Cypresswood locations.

Yelp
This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. So consistently tasty. I can rely on the quality every single time. We meet here for a happy hour and enjoyed the drinks, bar bites, atmosphere, all of it! And the service was good, as usual. This was my first time ordering the tempura lobster and I highly recommend it! My salad was delicious as well. I ordered several drinks; but only pictured my trio. (I drank my Smokey Rita before a pic!) Anyway, superb. I'd eat here any day of the week.l

Yelp
Pretty good. Service was nice. Ambiance was great as well! Came here with my partner for our anniversary! Food was outstanding. We got fresh bread served to our table. Our night was something to remember.

Yelp
It's Perry's. Is there really anything that needs to be said? Great food. Great service. Private rooms are worth getting if you have a big group!

Yelp
Just had our annual Christmas Eve dinner at Perry's. Sadly, we will be making a new choice next year. The service was awful. Our waitress was way too busy for our table. Had to make changes to our order after we made it. Soda was flat and machines were broken, so no sodas after that. There was a hair baked into our bread. The food was late in coming. We were continually told that the kitchen was backed up. Our bill was wrong. We were told the computer was glitching. The bill for the four of us was $395. It would seem that these are not problems that a restaurant of Perry's caliber would experience. The food was good, but the experience definitely ruined it for us.

Yelp
I spent a week in Houston visiting my daughter. I had the best dinner at Perry's. I was so impressed with the ambiance, service and most importantly- the food! I started with a martini flight, followed by a gumbo soup, and the sympathy kabob as the entree. Beautiful presentation, and the garlic butter with the touch of blue cheese was to die for. 10/10
