First time experience here and we loved it. Came for my Husband’s birthday and the service was wonderful. The dishes were great, especially loved the scallops and steak taters. John took great care of us, ensuring everything was to our liking, and providing us with recommendations. Also the porkchop is worthy of five stars alone. I will be coming back again for sure!

We went for an early Father’s Day celebration and date night. We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation and expected to wait. They sat us immediately. I ordered the Filet and Lobster. My husband ordered the pork chop. They were both fantastic. We started with Calamari and it was the best we’ve ever had. Our sides were potato wedges and Mac and cheese with King Crab. The Mac and Cheese was our favorite. Sounds ridiculous to type but it is amazing!!! The service was impeccable. Thank you, Michael!!! Of course we had so much leftovers. They carted our plates off and retuned with it packed to go. I highly recommend. I wish I had taken more pics of the food to show its beautiful presentation.

This was a great experience for my wife and me. The atmosphere was upscale but felt like family. The service was impeccable and food was excellent. The only food ding was the scallops on a slab of bacon. The food was wonderful but there was a lot of oil from the bacon. The restaurant used fried potatoes I guess to soak up the excessive oil. There was too much potatoes.

Steakhouses are not usually our thing but we tried out Perry's for valentine's day and were pleasantly surprised. It's very petty inside and the service and food were both very good although quite expensive. The cheesecake really stood out as especially tasty.

What a wonderful anniversary dinner! We’ve been excited to go to Perry’s and decided celebrating year 32 was a great reason. We shared the pork chop, Augratin potatoes, grilled veggies, and cherry jubilee cake. All delicious and leftovers for tomorrow. The service was attentive and the manager stopped by twice to check-in. Perry’s is now one of our “special event” places!

My wife and I celebrated Valentine’s Day at Perry’s. We were pleasantly surprised by the convenient valet parking. This was our first visit. We enjoyed the Senior Special. My Wagyu filet mignon steak was cooked to perfection. My wife had the famous pork chops. The atmosphere and service was incredible. It was an amazing dining experience.

Ok this is my honest review of the Valentine's day experience from the moment of reservation which was easy enough online. My partner and I made the reservations over a month ago and chose an early time slot of 5pm and wanted to hit a movie afterwards. Also the fixed price menu was slightly cheaper before 5:45 pm, only bar seating was available which was fine we both like to make our choices beforehand and share our meals so we can enjoy a few things, we don’t spend hours dining we are normally a get in eat and leave type of people. From the moment we approached the restaurant it was chaos. The valet parking was backed up and I needed to be dropped off a few car lengths away so I could go claim our reservation, I hate being late. When I opened the door to step inside it was wall to wall people standing room only and I needed to wade through a sea of people to check in, which was on time at about 2 minutes before 5. I was not given an estimate of time but I could tell it was going to be a bit. For a good 5-10 minutes I huddled in the corner waiting to see how many people were there for the same time slot, or were just walk-in’s or big parties perhaps, no they were just incredibly behind and overbooked it was crazy. People were upset and there was nowhere to stand or sit it was uncomfortable. We struck up a conversation with the couple next to us and their reservation was at 4:45 and at 5:25 they were still standing and waiting. It was at that point I started to worry about our movie plans. 15 minutes later, I shuffled over to the hostess area just to see where they were at with seating I was told that there was 9 tables ahead of us. A movie would not be an option luckily we were able to refund that thanks fandango. We finally were called at 5:54 and shown to our table in the bar which was nice. We made our choices quickly off the fixed menu and added an appetizer to it as well, we didn’t wait long for our drinks and then appetizer to arrive. The stuffed mushrooms were good and it left me with high hopes that the food would make up for the wait. That proved to be wrong. We both ordered the lobster bisque soup which came out in a timely fashion but was cold not just not hot but mine was actually cold. I dunked a piece of bread in it and used it as more of a dip then soup. In the mean time management was at the table next to us for the second time apologizing for the wait. The family had been there since 4 and were still waiting on 2 of the main meals and it was well after 6 pm, I overheard them say it would be another 10 minutes. This worried me how could their food be this delayed when there was literally one small menu with limited choices…the kitchen should be cranking out the food. We also heard the waitstaff complaining about not making any money tonight, uggh really???About 7:15 our main meals arrived they weren’t bad but not great either my chicken Oscar was dry and did not contain asparagus. The vegetable had a strange smoky flavor to it almost reminded me of cigarettes. My partner’s filet was good but we both were getting full at this point and opted to take our leftovers and dessert home. When the bill arrived we were charged incorrectly and had to bring it to the attention of the waitstaff that our reservation was for 5 so we should have been billed the lower rate, it was corrected after some discussion. The valet was better upon leaving at 8 pm and eagerly fetched our vehicle. Once home we discovered they had given me the wrong dessert packed in the bag but oh well it was just another strike in a series of unfortunate events of the evening. I’m not sure if they had never done a valentine's event before but it was horribly planned and executed even the police were on hand so we won’t be going back but the other couple from the lobby area enjoyed their food as we met them waiting in valet line on the way home and discussed our experiences. I wished I had better comments I wanted to love it but it just wasn’t a good experience tonight Perry’s it kinda ruined Valentine’s Day for us.

Google
Unfortunately my experience at Perry’s was terrible. The Steak flight that they advertise as A5 was tough and salty. The grilled chicken was salty and the crab cakes were not tasty. Our waiter was overwhelmed with multiple parties and the food took out an hour. I heard great things about Perry’s in the past but most recently was a true disappointment.

Yelp
We took our mom to Perry's this year for Mother's Day and we had a wonderful experience, as always. The hostesses and our server were all very friendly. We did have to sit in the bar area because we booked a little late but that didn't dampen our time or the ambiance. We ordered the Signature Steakhouse Smorgasbord with every meat your heart could desire and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. There's something for everyone on there. We also got a few apps, sides, and salads to balance it out. We had a party of 5 and it was more than enough. We even had leftovers. Overall, I would say Perry's is a great place for special occasions and events or if you want to go on a cute date or girls night. My family and I love going there.

Yelp
I was surprised to see that this place is rated a 3.5, I loved it! Our waitress was amazing and knowledgeable. The ambiance was tasteful and a little dark as you can tell in my pictures. I enjoyed all my food but let me give the details. French onion soup- I didn't like the way the cheese was broiled and too much bread but the actual soup was tasty. I would get it again but ask if they could skip the bread. Filet mignon- this was the best steak I've had in a long time. Definitely blew the angus barn out of the water. Word to the wise though, their Perry's signature seasons was perfect in my opinion but others at my table thought it was too salty. If you're sensitive to salt I would suggest saying no to that seasoning. Au gratin potatoes were good, loaded potatoes and Brussels sprouts were decent as well, but the star side was the corn brûlée. It was sweet, savory and creamy. Lastly, the dessert trio was enjoyable and my favorite part was the seasonal orange vanilla cheesecake. I'm not a huge chocolate fan so the chocolate crunch tower wasn't a vibe for me. The lemon bar was good but nothing special. The bread pudding was the show stopper with the huge marshmallow on top. The first bite I had with the outside of it was amazing, but the whole mallow isn't melty like it is on the outside, so it got less good as you got deeper. Next time I would like to try the bananas foster. All in all, I really enjoyed this place and would definitely go back and try some new items!

Yelp
Came here before dropping our daughter off at the airport. Me - Filet Perry with steamed asparagus Wife/daughter - ribeye with sweet siracha Brussel sprouts Dessert Bananas foster Was absolutely delicious Service was amazing and prompt Nice quiet and romantic place to eat

Yelp
I dined here on 2/18/24 for a date. We arrived here around 7:50pm for an 8pm reservation. They have complimentary valet and it was very busy. By the time we got inside, it was 8pm exactly. After checking in, we were told it would be a couple minutes. There were about 3-4 people behind the host stand. There were MANY people waiting to be seated, which I assume they were walk ins. There is only one bench for waiting which IS NOT enough for the amount of people waiting. From what I saw and other reviews, I think this business should invest in a proper waiting area. In the summer, waiting outside would be nice. However on a cold and windy night (like the night I visited), that would be miserable. We were sat less than a minute later. (Note: After reading reviews with poor experiences regarding reservations, I was nervous. Thankfully everything went smoothly). The ambiance was composed of low lighting, light music, and a candle on the table. The waiter, Dylan, came over shortly after we sat. He provided waters for us. Dylan returned shortly after. He graciously went over the menu for us. As he did that, someone brought over complimentary bread. The bread was soft and warm! We ordered spinach and artichoke dip as a start around 8:12pm. The dip came at 8:27pm and it was very hot (in temperature). The chips that accompanied it were crispy and tasty. We enjoyed it. We ordered our dinner at 8:29pm. We both got prime ribeye cooked medium and shared a loaded whipped potatoes side. (Note: All the sides are shareable). I also ordered a Thyme Lemon Drop that came 15 mins after ordering. Our food was brought over at 8:58pm. The prime ribeye was one of the best steaks I've ever tasted, no joke. I love the crisp edges. It was very juicy, tender, and flavorful! My mouth is watering right now as I reminisce on it! We enjoyed the loaded potatoes but we got full. We barely ate 1/3 of it. I forced myself to finish the steak because it was so delicious and didn't want to take it home and reheat it improperly. We were asked if we wanted dessert but we were honestly STUFFED! I definitely want to return. When/if I do, I will plan to save room for dessert. 2 steaks, 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 1 side was over $200. Keep that in mind when dining. I can say that we had a pleasant dining experience with no complaints. If I had to complain, I would say it took a while to receive our drinks. However, it was busy, so it was understandable. After dinner, I did go to the restroom. It was clean but busy. No complaints there. I was glad valet has slowed down by the time we finished dinner. The wait for my car was fairly short. However... I watched valet hop the curb in my car... ; So I would be cautious if you chose to utilize that service.

Yelp
My family chose to bring me here on the Saturday before father's day to ensure we came when it was not busy. My wife made the reservations and had to put a deposit down to lock it in. We arrived 10min late due to traffic but was seated promptly. Our server Sara was awesome. She was very focused on our water which was never low or empty, our plates removed quickly once finished and our questions on the menu answered professionally. Our food was hot and very tasty. We enjoyed the meals in the picture and brought home a creme brulee and chocolate tower. We watched the rest of the serving staff operate and we're definitely impressed. We also used the complimentary valet service which was quick. We will definitely come back again.

Yelp
Father's Day 2024 we went to Perry's Steakhouse for the first time and everyone enjoyed his/her dish. Reservations were made in advance so there was no wait time. The staff was on point and super friendly. Best Wagyu steak hands down. Everyone loved the appetizers. Pork chop was amazing. Will definitely return.

Yelp
I type this from the comfort of my bed where I am currently digesting this wonderful culinary experience I just enjoyed from Perry's in Raleigh. I wanted to take two of my sons (and their tag along baby sister) somewhere special for a belated Valentine's Day date. Perry's was the perfect spot. We enjoyed the Caesar salad, ribeye, giant pork chop, fried asparagus, lobster bisque, corn brûlée, white chocolate cheesecake, and bread pudding. Every single dish was delicious. Notable was the lobster bisque, which was my favorite dish of the night. It was perfection! The other show stopper for me was the bread pudding which came with the most spectacular square marshmallow top. This was an exciting change to the typical whipped cream and greatly enjoyed. I mentioned these special dishes, but all of them were expertly prepared and delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The bartenders, namely Scott, made the best drinks (mocktails!) and were keen on our needs. Thank you Perry's, for going above and beyond and creating a friendly attitude of excellence in service and culinary expertise.

Yelp
January 2024 dined at the bar. I dined at the bar one Saturday night (no reservation). I had the Bubbly Black Rose with Hendricks Gin instead of Vodka. My new favorite! I also enjoyed the lamb chops and Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. No complaints here on this visit. The bar area seating was super comfortable and spacious. There was plenty of decent lighting and the area was clean.

Yelp
If I could give this review more than 5 stars I would bc they deserve it! My first time, I went here for my birthday in March and everything was PHENOMENAL. My waiter was exceptional. I realized how quickly this place gets booked so I reserved a seat at the bar on OpenTable (only option) when I arrived to my surprise they sat me at a booth.. talk about going above & beyond! A birthday card from the General Manager and my waiter, signed.. and a complimentary sampler dessert. Scallops *chefs kiss* & the reason I'm writing this review now is because I forgot but now wanting those scallops reminded me to give the credit. The General Manager is one of the best I've ever been able to witness. He & I spoke a little bit as he stopped by my table to ensure everything was going great. I overheard the couple next to me have many allergy issues and he saw to it that the cooks took care of their needs. AMAZING! Thank you Perry Team, I will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
We took a chance of getting in as we had no reservation. In Raleigh, NC for a college graduation. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly, professional and worked with precision. A great social atmosphere, the people next to us were celebrating their anniversary. I had the lamb chops, they were cooked extremely well. No before picture but below are the remains! Definitely check them out if in the Crabtree Mall area. You will not regret it!

Ethan C.

Yelp
Great ambience and lighting, except for the noise. Staff are exceptionally polite and professional. Table side service was really cool and is offered with many of the dishes. All of the food was a bit salty but other than that were amazing and cooked to perfection. Pork chop skewers had amazing flavor and nice crisp. Chop salad was alright. The Southwestern filet was cooked perfectly to a medium rare. The corn flavor is very strong and it also has a bit of spice. The lemon bar was also good - not too sour. This is the nicest restaurant I've seen in the Raleigh/Durham area, granted I haven't been to many. It definitely set a high bar for me and I will be trying to come again. Also, there is valet but parking is free and easily accessible at the adjacent parking garage

Joy R.

Yelp
We were looking for a nicer spot to take our son who goes to NCSU to for his birthday and remember seeing Perry's when shopping at Crabtree which is right across the street. We picked a good one! The menu is extensive so if you're not a steak person, you're sure to find something. In fact, they are known for their pork chops to my surprise. Brandon took good care of us. For drinks, my husband enjoyed his old fashioned and I enjoyed a thyme lemon drop. It took a little longer than expected to get our drinks considering we were seated at 4pm when the restaurant opened. My husband had a wedge salad which wasn't our typical wedge but still good. Our son had a Caesar salad. There wasn't a description and it arrived with anchovies and what appeared to be pine nuts. We had to get a new one because of his nut allergies so be warned. Our sons had filet mignon steaks; one was cooked to perfection but the other was overcooked. I had the pan seared sea bass which was very good and on the lighter, smaller side so it was perfect for me. My husband took the plunge and got the pork chop that is carved tableside. I've never seen that with pork. There were three distinct flavors and textures of the chops. Definitely worth consideration. I couldn't hold dessert so I had port. Two in the party had dessert; one dreamsicle flavored seasonal cheesecake and crème brûlée. Both were tasty. We will definitely visit again!

Yelp
Enjoyed dinner in a private dining room as a guest in a group of 30 people. Large group meals are hard to serve hot because of the number of people. The fillet mignon was nicely cooked, but since it was not hot, the pool of butter on top was solidifying. If it was hot, it would boost the review. Brussels sprouts, au gratin potatoes were good, not exceptional. The restaurant was surprisingly full mid week and quite noisy. Many people rave about this place. I feel it is a solid choice, but better steakhouse options exist in the area.

Veronica G.

Yelp
This place is very elegant and inviting ...it really sets the mood for a wonderful evening. The service is impeccable! Our server was Chris and he made us feel like we were his only table! I am giving this review 3 stars because as an amateur foodie - I was looking for the wow factor from the food but I didn't get it until I had the blueberry cheesecake...it was delicious! I look forward to visiting again and pursuing the menu for something new to try!

Chandra J.

Yelp
Was so excited to order Perry's for my Easter dinner as I was moving and could not stay in. This quickly became a $63 regret as my food was cold and just sad. To start when I arrived I was not asked for ID to pick up my order--like wow! There was plenty of staff, so this was not the problem, it just was never thought to be asked. I did email them about this as this is a concern. So, got my food home, and the presentation was spot on, but the bread and potatoes were stiff and the meat was cold and stiff. I got their famous pork chop and the flavor and creaminess I was expecting were just not there. I know it is take out and it is not the same as dine in, but I expect close to the same quality as in the restaurant and it was not even close. I plan to finish my dinner, but it will take some time as again the food quality is not there. I hope in the future that they can control the temperature and quality of the food. Why offer takeout when the quality is lacking compared to dining in? Three stars for the wedge salad, clean bathrooms, and beautiful wine cellar--wow!

Yelp
Love coming to Perry's steak house for Pork Chop Fridays!! The pork chop is only $20 on Fridays (lunch portion-can you believe the dinner portion is even bigger). It is so good!! Service was very quick. It comes with a pork chop, mashed potatoes, and apple sauce. You could always substitute for another side. They serve complimentary bread when you sit down. This place is very fancy, they have a strict dress code and celebration code. Make sure you check out their website before you visit. They have valet parking and you could also park in the deck and walk through the courtyard to get to the restaurant. I have tried other things at Perry's but their pork chop is really good! You can't go wrong.

Steve K.

Yelp
We went in for a romantic steak dinner to celebrate and the experience was not what we expected after seeing it rated with 4+ stars on Yelp. The ambiance was subpar, loud, the service was extremely slow (had to flag down other servers after waiting for 5-10 minutes to order, also had to flag down another server to order a bottle of wine!) To top it off they not only burnt the A5 Wagyu steak, but also the filet mignon we ordered and the "manager" who brought us the recook did not offer to compensate us in any way whatsoever, even though we spent over $350... !!If you are an avid steak connoisseur like we are DO NOT go here expecting a meal worth your time or money.

Tiffany R.

Yelp
The food was excellent. Aside from what is pictured with the review, I tried a little bit of everything including pork chop and the mashed potatoes. Everything was really good. I loved the red snapper, it was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. The pork chop was a huge portion, very tender, and the seasoning blend used was sweet but paired really well with the pork chop. The thyme lemon drop was perfect. The thyme was not as strong as I expected and complimented the other components of the drink. The service did not disappoint. I wish I could remember the guy's name so that he could be recognized. It was a busy Saturday night but he was very attentive and timely. The restaurant was busy but quiet; very picturesque and a perfect place for a date.

Yelp
Celebrated my husband's birthday and enjoyed our meal and drinks and unexpected company for our celebration. Our server was very nice. The music was slightly loud when we arrived so there was a bit of confusion at the beginning of ordering of our meal and we ended up with an extra starter but we all still shared it. We shared a complementary crème brûlée at the end of the meal too (way too full to do more than that anyhow).

Yelp
My parents made reservations for 7 PM about a month ago to meet some friends. I was invited because they live 45 minutes away and that's to far for them to drive at night. We arrived a little early and was going to use the valet but after 15 minutes gave up and didn't want to be late. I dropped them off and they went inside. When I went in we were told it would just be a moment. I was suspicious because I counted over 45 people in the lobby standing. Was hoping it was just a big party but people kept coming up checking on their table. Not sure why there are about five people working the front desk. After 50 minutes and being told just a few more minutes we had to leave. My parents and their friends are nearly 80 years old and can't stand that long. Only on bench that hold three people in the lobby. We got a call about 20 minutes later telling our table was ready. Once I explained we had to leave after a long wait they hung up. Never will be try this place again.

Yelp
I'm approaching this review in a different way than usual bc the dinner reservation that was made weeks in advance did not play out the way I had hoped. A friend and I were both very much looking to keep our annual tradition alive of treating ourselves to a nice meal after volunteering for a fundraiser, neither of us had ever been to Perry's and in all honesty, I'm on the fence about giving y'all a second chance. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our 7:15 reservation. It was relatively busy when we got there . The decor and atmosphere looked nice, but we were certainly not met with a warm welcome. There were four, maybe five people behind the hostess stand and all but one seemed to be truly present and working with a purpose. She had to nudge and elbow her coworker to check us in. After watching the crowd that was waiting to be seated completely turn over and it was now almost 20 minutes after our reservation time, my friend re approached the hostess stand inquiring about our reservation. We were told we could go to the bar area or continue to wait awhile for a table in the dining room. We were seated in the bar area at a high top table where again we waited, too long to be greeted by someone. When were finally approached by an African American male that was very pleasant and appeared to be part of management. My friend and i voiced our concerns about wait times to which he actively listened but at this point she and I had started our discussion about possibly going elsewhere for dinner. He was great to get us water but seemed surprised that we had not yet been greeted by a server after again waiting for quote some time, he even offered to provide us with a complementary appetizer, which i thought was very generous. One of the stars in this review was for him and his efforts. The second star goes to Sabrina, who came to our table, had a pleasant demeanor and upbeat attitude, mind you my friend and i were still in discussion about whether or not we were going to stay. I will admit that the lack of organization and commitment to customer service by the folks at the hostess stand really turned me off to this place and I was in a mood by the time Sabrina greeted us. The second star in my review is for Sabrina. I cant comment on the food, bc we didn't stay. This place had a poor vibe right out of the gate for me and really turned me off. I was looking forward to a nice steak dinner at a new to me restaurant and your customer service right out of the gate was horrible. I am someone who truly values good customer service and sadly I didn't get that, please do better, bc for me, first impressions really do matter.

Yelp
We came to Perry's to celebrate our 16th anniversary and it was not a memorable experience. Don't get me wrong, our server was great! Very nice and attentive. Unfortunately the food did not meet our standards. We never received our wagyu steak appetizer and when we did it was after our meal and over cooked. I ordered the red fish and I didn't like it. I'm not sure if the pesto was overbearing or maybe the fish was too fishy? I would suggest the pesto on the side as it is strong and honestly presentation made it look unappetizing. My husband got the kabob special and he enjoyed his meal although the shrimp had an ammonia taste. At that point I was ready to go but my husband convinced me to get the crème brûlée...my favorite but I just knew it wouldn't come out right. Lo and behold, it was kinda burnt so you could taste the bitterness throughout. The complimentary bread was good! Very soft and that whipped butter, mmm. Our cocktails were really good and we highly recommend the old fashion or pineapple ginger mojito. Oh, the blue point oysters were amazing as well. Also, their bathroom stalls smelled had an unpleasant smell as if it hadn't been cleaned in awhile.

Yelp
Bar 79.... I had the BEST experience at Perry's in Raleigh NC last week. Dinner and drinks at the bar was so excellent, that I came back the very next day for the Friday Lunch and drinks at the bar. The food was fantastic, and the Old Fashions Zach made were the best I have ever had. The staff was in such great spirits with one another, and the many other patrons were having a grand time. Bar 79 is definitely the place to call my new "Cheers" bar!! IYKYK

Yelp
First time here and the food and service is amazing. Allowed me to bring in a cake for a birthday and even stored it in their fridge for me. Nice indoor setting but the ambiance is so dark it's actually kinda hard to see the menus but still overall great restaurant

Ashley S.

Yelp
My friend and I came here Friday night as an early birthday celebration. She made a reservation so we had no issues. They have free valet, which is nice. I tried their nonalcoholic pineapple ginger ale and it was amazing! She orders the calamari as an appetizer. I don't eat calamari, but it had fried hot peppers on it that I ate and whew! They were hot!!! I loved them. I got the seasonal pork white bean chili and that was pretty good. Their bread service was good. Nice fluffy, warm sourdough. For the entree, I got the Perry's filet which is filet wrapped in bacon and topped with crab. That was wonderful. I ordered the lobster macaroni and cheese and it was horrible - runny/ watery. We also got the loaded mashed potatoes and creamed spinach and those were great. For dessert I got their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake and it was to die for!! I would definitely return, but not for the lobster Mac.

Andrew K.

Yelp
We had an incredible meal and experience last night (04.24.24). The steaks were cooked perfectly to our agreed upon and different temps, the Caesar salad was great as were our side dishes. We had the corm as well as the au gratin potatoes. And then the desserts were impeccable! See pictures! Gabbi our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, a great experience. We will be back for the chop special soon!!!

Yelp
Had a reservation for Christmas Eve-Eve dinner @ 5pm and was seated immediately after valet parking. The parking structure is a little walk and valet is complimentary. The location is a little un-assuming for me, little hidden. The interior is a little dark with clean line furniture, lots of bottled wine on display behind glass walls, tall ceilings with chandelier lighting. My wife and I both thought the background music was a little high especially when all tables got full. We both decided to only have water this evening as to not spoil our meal. My wife ordered a surf and turf which was over a pasta. I ordered their over-sized pork chop entre. We also ordered the sauteed/grilled mushroom as a side that was delicious and very different. Our meal portions were more than we could eat so took some home. The food presentation was ok. Our service was very good. Not a non-expensive evening out but when I look at the complimentary valet, interior setting, service by staff, quality of meal and the time allowed us to enjoy meal without a rush it was worth it. No pictures as I left phone in vehicle to enjoy evening!

Yelp
We joined friends for a holiday dinner at Perry's. The chain positions itself as a high-end steakhouse, which is basically another way of saying the reason it's so expensive is that you're getting an "experience". The restaurant was absolutely jammed with as many people as possible during our meal and everyone was talking loudly, so we literally could not hear across the table. For a restaurant aiming to provide a premium experience, the uniformed security guard in the lobby was a bit of a disappointment and made me question why he was necessary in the first place. Perry's prides itself on its ginormous $49, "7-finger-high" pork chop, so that's what we tried. Our server said it weighed 30 ounces, so we ended up sharing a single entree and still had plenty left over. The problem with cooking an enormous slab of meat is that it's difficult to consistently cook the entire thing. While the first few bites near the outside were moist, warm, and delicious, other parts were dry and overcooked and a bit seemed undercooked. I would have preferred a smaller portion of a better prepared, higher-quality chop. The $14 sides are really big enough to share for 4 people. Our server recommended the whipped potatoes, but these were my least favorite; it was just mashed potatoes covered in cheddar with a huge blob of sour cream on top and tiny bit of green pepper and bacon -- meh. The creamed spinach was good and I enjoyed the distinctive taste of nutmeg. However, my favorite was the corn brûlée; it arrived to the table hot with the sort of crackly top it's dessert kin features. Jalapeño peppers gave it a bit of welcome spiciness. It was excellent. The $14 desert trio featured three one-inch sampler squares of other dessert. While I was not expecting a large serving, this was just skimpy. My favorite of the three was the lemon meringue bar; the pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate crunch were a bit bland and lacking in texture. Our server was very friendly, personable, clearly highly skilled at her job, but was also very inattentive. In this case I'll blame it on the restaurant being over capacity causing her to service too many tables. The management knew there would be a full house and should have staffed accordingly. For the four of us, we rang up an over $200 tab sharing two entrees and no alcohol, other than a lone beer. While I know we were paying for "the experience" I wasn't impressed. I think the Angus Barn, a few miles down the road, is a better representative of this sort of steak house.

Yelp
If our reviews were based solely on food taste and presentation then Perry's would get 5+ rating. My wife and I took advantage of Perry's Senior Menu which offered a 3 course meal from a great main course selection. My wife had their 6 oz Filet Mignon cooked medium. Her side dish was Thick-cut Chargrilled Veggies. To complement her steak she has a glass of Abby Page Red Blend. To finish off her meal she had their Caesar Salad. I enjoyed 6 oz Filet Mignon cooked medium rare. My side dish was wiped potatoes. (no wine designated drive). I enjoyed Caesar Salad with anchovies. Every thing about the meal was top shelf. However one point I need to make, although the steaks were great, nowhere was it mentioned that the steaks were prepared with a Black Peppercorn crust. Delicious, but a bit too hot for my taste. Our server was Whitney. She was great. She kept close tabs on our table while remaining out of sight. She would supprise us by refilling our glasses without asking. When we return we will be asking for her by name. However our reviews are not based only on food but also ambience. When a restaurant promotes itself as a "fine dining" restaurant and charges as such, then they should be judge accordingly. The General Manager or Executive Chef must be unaware that the waitstaff appear to have little to do when not servicing tables, because there was a small groups of 4/5 who gather in different areas at different time. They were either in the food prep area or gathering in one of the emergency exit areas. The food prep area is located behind a glass wall allowing customers to see them and hear their high pitch laughter. They even gathered at one the emergency exit in the MAIN dinning area where we were seated, talking and laughing out loud. Their actions did NOT REFLECT that they were serving customers in a upscale steakhouse where food and service is supposed to be above average! Granted these waitstaff weren't laughing and talking out loud the whole time during our meal ... but long enough for me to reconsider the time of day, choosing rather not the afternoon when it's generally slow and the waitstaff have little to do. On top of the waitstaff issue, i think the music was a bit too loud and not really suited for "fine dining". Management needs (in my opinion) reduce the volume level and change their choice of dinner music; music that would be of a relaxing nature and not like the present selection of a sports bar and grill setting. Breakdown of my review: Food - 5+ stars Food Server - Whitney 5+ stars Ambience (noise from idle workers & questionable choice of music) - 1

Yelp
A five-star experience. Everything exceeded our expectations. The lobster bisque was perfect with huge chunks of lobster. The fresh bread and whipped, lightly salted butter was perfect. Then the loaded potatoes were so yummy. The steak was perfectly cooked, seasoned, succulent flavor. We really needed a good meal after some restaurant misses recently traveling to Georgia and Perry's delivered. Thank you!!!

Yelp
Visited Perry's for a delightful, relaxing family dinner, and it delivered precisely that. Impeccable food and service consistently leaves us pleasantly satisfied. While we typically find ourselves too full for desserts, we decided to indulge in the Banana Foster this time. It exceeded our expectations - having the perfect balance between cream and just the right sweetness. Perry's remains a consistent source of enjoyment for our family.

Yelp
I was invited some time ago and I must admit that the food was pretty amazing.. The service was fantastic and friendly, and the ambiance and atmosphere was super classy and it gives you that "Ritz Carlton" feeling. Kudos to you guys

Yelp
A solid high end steakhouse in Raleigh. Very good food, good service and vibrant bar scene.

Yelp
Upscale atmosphere with a plethora of great options for a carnivore like me. Tried the crab cakes as appetiser and the pork chop dinner. Both excellent!

Yelp
Perry's was good. The waitresses Kristy and Sierra were amazing. They provided great assistance with the menu by providing great recommendations. The valet attendants Deshawn and Kyle were friendly and attentive. This is my second experience at Perry's. For appetizers, I chose the Fried Asparagus. The fried asparagus was really greasy and over cooked but topped with fresh crab. The Fried Asparagus is a Perry's Signature and I wasnt impressed. I thought it could have been better executed. Hubby got steak & tater tots bites and he enjoyed them. I thought the Steak was cooked tender and the tater tots had a nice crunch. For Entrees, Hubby got the Southwest Filet. His 1st filet was on the medium rare side, but it was fixed immediately with a medium cooked steak. S/O to AGM Chistina for handling us with care. I got the Filet three ways and it was decent. The steak was well seasoned however the coffee crusted filet was well done and I prefer medium. So I fed it to my hubby and he loved it. We haven't had au gratin potatoes in years and it was delicious. For the dessert the pumpkin cheesecake was tasty treat and I had an espresso martini to wash I down ... yum. I give Perry's a hard 3/5

Yelp
Good food and service. Enjoyed our evening there. We had a 7 year old with us and it worked out well.

Yelp
The food was amazing And the service outstanding!! I loved the signature pork chop as it did it disappoint. Perry should consider just selling the ribs of the pork chop as an appetizer

Yelp
Okay, disappointed is a understatement!!! I have had dinner at Sullivans, peddlers, Angus barn, season 52, capital grill... each multiple times. I have never had such and over spiced over salted set of food in my life, alls I tasted was salt. I love salt and salt everything. This was over the top salt. Maybe it was an off night but the price was a price of a premium restaurant but the food was a disappointment. This place has been on my list for a long time, so disappointed! Service and atmosphere were good. Never coming back

Yelp
Perry's was the perfect dining experience. Not a single con or opportunity for improvement. The hostess greeted us immediately even with their being quite a few folks in the lobby area. Michael, our server, was awesome! He was knowledgeable and made great drink, appetizer, and main entree recommendations. I tried everything he recommended and was pleased! My filet was cooked so perfectly! No complaints AT ALL!

Yelp
Had an amazing evening enjoying good company, professional service, and delectable cuisine. The cocktails were amazing, the Brussel sprouts & escargot were devine. Was able to leave a little room for dessert and selected the white chocolate cheese cake. The waitress was very responsive throughout the night. Perry's is an awesome choice with a variety of menu items to choose from, including a few "off the menu" items. Will definitely have to return. Unika B. & Co.

Yelp
Discovered Perry's in an effort of finding a quality birthday dinner for my lovely lady and it didn't disappoint. I can't recall the name of our server but he was top notch, always prompt and full of suggestions. The food was fantastic although the steak didn't come off as superior to any other local steakhouse. We had the brussel sprouts for our side and they were superb, cooked to perfection. As well as the birthday dessert, we ended up the Rocky Road bread pudding and it was spectacularly good. I particularly liked the oversized homemade marshmallow on top. The ambiance and decor or all upscale but the general atmosphere seemed a bit crowded. We will have to make a return trip soon.

Yelp
This was our first time at Perry's for a date night! We had reservations at 5:45 on a Saturday evening. Upon arrival we were greeted and told it would only be a few minutes to get our table situated. My husband and I enjoyed the bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer! My husband got the NY strip and I got the southwest filet with a side of mashed potatoes. Highly recommend all these items! Gabby was our server and she was awesome! Guided us through the menus as first time guests.

Yelp
I was in town for work and my best friend who lives here told me I had to try this place and to get the Pork Chop which I did. I was not expecting the portion size of this meal but it was really good! The presentation was so dope. They brought it out and then cut it in front you and recommended the order the eat the different section in to enjoy the full experience. Note, sides are not included and you have to order them separately. I got the mashed potatoes and they were really good. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and I chose to sit outside because the weather was really nice. However I dealt with a bunch of flies and could really enjoy my food as much as I would've like too. Overall this is a great spot with nice decor and they even offer complimentary valet parking. This is definitely a place worth visiting!

Yelp
We visited Perry's steakhouse to celebrate my friend's birthday. Stepping into the restaurant, we were fascinated by the beautiful design and atmosphere. However, the food was disappointing. We were expecting dishes of high quality to much the prices, but everything was at best mediocre. Avoid the pork ribs since we found them tasteless, fatty and dry.

Yelp
We made a reservation for my anniversary I ordered the prime ribeye medium well so did my uncle and my husband ordered the signature pork chop with grilled asparagus and the loaded potatoes. Our steaks were overcooked and Luke warm when they arrived at our table, the asparagus were soft and overcooked. The pork chop was brought out without slicing it, and the other order of asparagus never came. The only reason I am leaving two stars is because of the service from our waitress. She mentioned that they were super busy but that's not an excuse. The price we pay is still the same.

Yelp
Cons: 1. Music was unnecessarily loud and "pop". Would have loved a dining experience at this price point with lush strains of Vivaldi and Mozart instead of, I don't even know, Taylor Swift? in the background. 2. You can't un-salt a steak, so maybe use just a little less salt in the kitchen and let the salt lovers salt more to taste at the table. Not ruined but a bit unnecessary. Pros: Aside from salt, every cocktail and plate was visual and gustatory perfection. It would never occur to me to get excited about a wedge salad, but even that was next-level here. I definitely want to go back and try their less obvious menu items. Lighting and decor make you feel like, maybe not royalty but at least nobility. Our server was perfectly attentive, informative and candid without "hovering". The hostess/manager was also congenial and accessible.

Yelp
We dined here a couple of days prior to the recent articles about the health score of 88. We had a 630pm reservation and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and prompt. We received water right away, and I looked that they left the pitcher of water at the table. I drink a lot of water, so that was a plus for me. We each ordered a salad. I had the field green, pear, and candied pecan salad, and my spouse had a salad with cucumbers and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. We also ordered the thyme lemon drop. The thyme lemon drop was good. It was an interesting pairing. My spouse ordered the chateaubriand with fries, and I ordered the 8oz filet. Both were ordered medium. I had to send mine back because it was still quite raw in the center. I had it with the truffle fries, which were very good. Our meals were good and we didn't get sick fortunately. I would go back once they improve their rating, especially with how expensive it is.

Yelp
The restaurant decor and atmosphere is nice, it was busy but we had reservations so we were seated quickly. Our server was very nice and extremely helpful. The food arrived to our table cold after we'd waited for about 45 minutes. We told the server our food was cold and she put in an order for a fresh plate of Mac & Cheese and potato au gratin which came fairly quickly. The food was what you'd expect at a higher end steakhouse and drinks tasty. All in all it was a good dinner.

Yelp
TLDR: Pork chop was phenomenal. Other food was good. Service was terrible. Do not come for a special occasion, they will make it the opposite of special. We had a VERY disappointing Valentine's dinner here, to say the least. I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend before dinner so I called a week in advance to see if they could do anything special for us. The host said they don't do anything special like that, so I just hoped at least our server would recognize that we were celebrating something big. Being a nice restaurant, I was expecting a nice greeting, but when we got to the host stand, we were greeted with "What's your name?" No niceties at all. It was clear that the host was training. We are taken to our table and it takes a good 10 minutes before we are greeted, and no, our server did not know we had just gotten engaged. Before we order, we had to exchange the glasses and spoons on our table because they were dirty. Found a literal lipstick stain on my glass. We had to ask many times for bread after seeing everyone around us with some. My fiancée got the pork chop, which was AMAZING, and I got the filet Perry, for which I never got a steak knife, but taste was fine. We added sides too so with the prix fix price plus extras, our total came to $235 before tip. The food was absolutely not worth that price, although the portions were big and we did have a lot of leftovers. The server boxed up the rest of our food for us, and when we got home, we found that she completely forgot our mac n cheese. Our $20 mac n cheese!! I genuinely think we would have had a better experience at an Outback or Chillis, and I would have spent a fraction of the price. Don't waste your time or money at this restaurant that claims to be fancy, but does not take good care of their guests.

Yelp
Went to Perry's with a group of 10. The food was decent, but unfortunately the manager's attitude was unacceptable. The manager in question would not allow the bill to be split, forcing it upon one person when the sign at the restaurant was quite clear that it could. See attached. When we complained to a different manager, the response was... the manager that told you that is from out of town and left for the night so we cannot do anything to resolve the issue versus making an attempt the rectify the situation. I would NOT recommend this restaurant for ANY business function.
