Yelp
The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Food was pretty flavorful - fried papad appetizer, navrantna [veg] korma, butter chicken masala, lamb Rogan Josh, plain naan, & mango lassi. We had all our food spiced "medium" because the young lady said "it's really hot ma'am" when I was going to order the lamb vindaloo. I guess I should have explained my creole roots to this young lady & that food isn't seasoned unless it clears your sinuses. Hence, the only thing that was a little spicy was the Rogan Josh which saved the meal because the other entrees were too mild. But, again it was tasty. As for the service, it was odd... The servers were courteous but not really friendly. The two young ladies waiting tables did not seem to be communicating with each other. A young man brought out food to the table- he was pleasant, smiled, cordial.
But the young ladies:
The first took our initial order; then the second came to check on us and brought out our lassi, brought the to-go boxes, & processed our payment. She then moved over to the table to our left to close out their bill. Next, the first came over and asked for our payment again. We said "we paid her" (indicating the young lady next to her) & showed her the receipt for payment. Still, she proceeds to put the payment machine on our table to ask for payment again. We showed her the receipt again & explained again that we'd already paid. She read the receipt & asked if something was wrong, then searched her machine & said "oh, yes I see it. You're right... you already paid. Sorry sorry. So sorry." No duh!!!!! And the whole while the young lady who took our payment is standing within ear shot, directly to her right at the other table, not saying a word. That was a strange experience.
Overall, I can recommend the food. Just make sure you get the spice level to your liking. Yet, I haven't decided if I want to spend money there again because the service was uncomfortable.
