"When I drive to Ensenada - which, before the pandemic hit, was approximately once every four months - the first spot I hit every time is Tacos Fenix, an incredible fish and shrimp taco stand that popularized the now-ubiquitous Baja-style taco. And L Fish, a taco stand in East LA, uses the exact recipe as Tacos Fenix. Like at the original, there are two options - fish and shrimp. I slightly prefer the latter over the former, but in both I was deeply impressed with the remarkably herb-y batter, which gives the taco a deep, bread-y crunch. They’re served undressed on a corn tortilla, with plenty of topping options - I go for finely chopped cabbage, pico de gallo, cilantro crema, and habañero salsa, with a heavy hit of lime." - Brett Keating

Got 3 lbs of shrimp and some pulpo 🐙 .. they gladly fry it and season for you at no extra charge.. definitely must try

Buy a fresh fish and have it fried up for you. If you love mojarra this is the place. It's a small place and if you blink you'll miss it. They do have fish fillets for purchase along with cevichi. But nothing beats a whole fresh fish deep fried. Yummy!!!!! They do have hot sauce, soda, water and tostada shells for purchase.

this place has many kinds of seafood. My wife loves the fried mojarra (talapia) and avocados. They also carry a lot of shrimp. They have somewhat high prices.

I felt bad leaving 3 stars but this review is purely for the price. My boyfriend and I came here today to purchase some fresh Red Snapper, to grill. We purchased 5 whole fish which they cleaned (head and fins etc still attached). While our fish was good, I can't get over the price... $12 a pound for a whole fish seems a bit steap. For 5 fish we paid $130. While the quality is good, I feel like the fish should be filleted, vs having to pay for all the parts you don't eat. Good fish but expensive!

PescaderĂ­a ensenada is a great place to get your fish, shrimp and octopus clean and fry, customer service is very attentive and fast. They also have aguachiles, ceviches, they have a good variety of fish like tilapia, red snapper, cat fish and another type of fish that I don't know the name lol. Good variety of shrimp as well for you to choose, I think prices are reasonable if you eat sea food and buy at market price you know what I mean for the rest it might be a bit high but it's worth it since it's fresh and they clean and fry in front of you. Fish and shrimp size it depends on how you want to spend

This is our go to place for mojarras. The employees are always courteous and friendly. The store is always clean and well kept. The mojarras are always fresh, and you have the option to have your fish fried and seasoned for free too.

This is the best place in East LA to get a deep fried mojara no kizzzys. The service is amazing. You get to actually choose your own fish and they cook it for you. They season it so perfectly and the meat comes out so juicy and soft (mouth watering) .

It's a small pescaderĂ­a but the fish and the shrimp are very fresh. The fish there is good and they have it out so you can pick the fish. Plus it's just right around my house.

Came here for Easter and I bought 2 of the big mojarras (fried tilapia) with fried shrimp. It was so yummy, clean, and the staff was so nice! I also bought a shrimp ceviche, which was also very yummy. Ask them for a sample.

First time walked in I thought it was a restaurant. You walk in pick the fish you want and they will fry it for you free the seasoning to put on is so delicious I recommend this to everyone and you can also choose from different size shrimps. Very satisfied.

fish is really good anything seafood. it's a bit pricey but it's due to the quality...but there custome service needs help. But the seafood is the best.
