The Best Restaurants in Rosemary Beach, Florida | Eater New Orleans

"Pescado was built around its view, and accordingly, the rooftop bar overlooking the Gulf is always packed during peak season. It serves fairly standard upscale seafood grill fare, rounded out by a quality raw bar, chicken-fried bobwhite quail, a three-pound Maine lobster, and a quality cocktail menu. It’s 18 and up only for dinner, but all ages are welcome for brunch Wednesday through Sunday. Blink and you’ll miss happy hour, daily from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.." - Stephanie Carter

Located upstairs in downtown Rosemary, this place was really good. The food was amazing. Drinks are pricey for what they were, but they were good. I am not sure how some of the people got seated outdoors, but it was my understanding that is by walk in only. Good luck with that. I believe this is a very popular spot with a great look outside. Only thing I wish they had was better lighting for an outdoor picture.

Google
Great experience at the upstairs bar area, saw the sun set and felt an amazing breeze the whole night! Staff was super attentive and food, although yes on the pricey side, was fantastic! The steak was cooked perfectly and Mac and cheese was outstanding. And unlike most crab cake actually had lumps of crab in it, however on the small side the waiter accurately described the oz so we knew the price would be high just for a few bite dish. The pork belly bites are absolutely worth it as well as the other dishes depending on what you like. The tuna sushi was a little underwhelming as the inner part is just fried onions but tuna seemed fresh. Def great for a date night as you will spend a couple hundred dollars just on 2 people.

Google
I love it here! Great service, best views, and the food is top tier. Thoughtful meal preparation. Even the drinks were spot on. Second year visiting during the Jazz Fest but will not be the last. I had the black cod on a cucumber salad. Great portion size and everything was such a flavor compliment to the cod. I heard the steak was heavenly as well. I tried the potatoes, really good. Pictured in the back were noodles, another treat.

Google
Sure, menu options were not huge, and food was not exclusive. However, the service, atmosphere, and rooftop with overlook views were worth it all and again! Our server was very attentive and detailed. We did not leave hungry.

Google
Absolutely amazing atmosphere and food! We got very lucky and were seated right away on a weekend without reservations. Our server, Eric, went above and beyond to accommodate all of our family’s requests-he is just excellent! The food came out right away and he made sure the kids got their food first which was a life saver. The food was fantastic, we loved every bite! An amazing experience for our day trip to Rosemary Beach! I highly recommend and can’t wait to come back to visit again in the future.

Google
The rooftop restaurant offers the best quality food available, with an incredible view. The service is good, but it could be improved. I’ve been twice and will definitely go again when I’m in Rosemary Beach.

Google
This is a definite must try places! The brunch is amazing and the views speak for themselves. The food is great. The service is always top notch. Jesse at the bar is so kind and knows his stuff. When you are unsure about something. He explains it in great detail. Highly highly recommend.

Google
Food and service were fantastic! We got the steak and the bucatini, as well as the ceviche, and everything was delicious. The chocolate mousse desert was fantastic! James was our server and he was off the charts, a fantastic guy, great service! The atmosphere is amazing being on the rooftop with the ocean breeze! I’ll note, there was a LONG wait, if you don’t have a reservation, and the hostess downstairs doesn’t pay attention to the table availability, because I had to check in multiple times, and when we came up, there were about 8 empty tables. Had I not checked in multiple times, we would still be there waiting

Yelp
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! We celebrated my sister's upcoming wedding and everything was perfect! We had two big allergies that our waiter Nick was so well informed about. Nick was truly such an amazing waiter and we all had a wonderful time. The drinks and food were phenomenal!

Yelp
James was a phenomenal server and the food was the best meal at Rosemary Beach. 10/10 recommend! Don't be discouraged by the hostess.

Yelp
Had dinner here with a party of 8 and overall, we had a great experience. We were lucky enough to get seated outside with a stunning rooftop view. Definitely one of the highlights of the night. When I first booked a month in advance, the date and time I wanted wasn't available, so we landed on our second choice. Then a week before our visit, I got a call saying they had to cancel my reservation altogether. Thankfully, with a little persistence and luck I was able to get the original date and time back so it all worked out! The food was delicious and the ambiance was just perfect. The staff was friendly for the most part, though there was a weird moment when one of our drinks was cleared before it was finished. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I get that mistakes happen but the way it was handled was awkward. Instead of just apologizing and replacing the drink in a smaller glass, the server brought it back over and asked if the amount left looked right. Not the most graceful move, especially considering the upscale pricing. The fish of the day/special was extremely salty, which was a bit disappointing considering how great everything else tasted. Another note, the floor area between the bar and indoor dining room was super slippery. We watched several people nearly fall, and there was no wet floor sign. It felt like an accident waiting to happen and definitely something the staff should be more proactive about. All that said, we still had a really enjoyable evening. Great food, great views, and great company!!! It's worth a visit, just be prepared for a few small hiccups.

Yelp
We have been here a few times when visiting in the area. I find overall that this place is simply, tired. I can't stand the "we're in high demand" attitude when the place, isn't. You check in at the host desk by the outside elevator..we got there exactly at our reservation time and the host smugly said "I'll try to send you up in a few minutes" HAHA what?! Alright. Please get over yourselves. And wouldn't you know it, we get up there and the place is nearly empty on a weekday. We asked to be sat on the patio, they did not honor this request with multiple tables available. Were sat closely next to the only other 2-person table by the bar. We ordered a lot of food, even the $200 lobster (which was delicious) but I feel the vibe and atmosphere of this place don't warrant the cost. Our waitress was super sweet though. I just don't see us wanting to come back here in the future.

Yelp
If you're in Rosemary beach area, you'll know there's not many restaurants on the beach or with a view. The entire beach is mostly privately owned homes so it's tough to watch the sunset or even just find a good spot for a drink with a view. Pescado roof top is hands down STUNNING views and about the only one in the downtown area to go. It's pricey for a drink and food and is typically a longer wait to get in, but put your name in asap in the evening or late afternoon and the bar clears out pretty quick. We had spicy margaritas and a mocktail with the cheese board and it was so fantastic and refreshing. Service was quick too! If you are making a reservation, you'll have to do it weeks in advance during peak season at least - so go with the bar if you can!

Yelp
Food was so good!! The sauce that the mussels were in was a creamy flavorful sauce. Ceviche was delicious too- (Halibut, Cod, Shrimp). The filet was cooked perfectly and paired nicely with the three Mac and cheese. Complimentary bread was cheesey and soft. Everything was very good. Outdoor area is a great view of Rosemary. Service was good too. My mocktail and espresso martini was delicious as well.

Yelp
Pescado is a must in Rosemary Beach, Florida! Upon arriving, we were recommended to make a reservation, and we're very glad we did. Reservations for dinner book up quickly, so book well in advance. We visited Pescado for brunch, and everything we had was delicious! Having been our first time, we weren't sure what to order. However, our waiter was very helpful in making recommendations. Ultimately, we ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes, the Main Lobster Roll with a side Caesar Salad, and the Fried Mahi Sandwich. The Fried Mahi Sandwich was a stand out followed by the Caesar Salad and Fried Green Tomatoes. I'm not the biggest fan of cold lobster salad so it wasn't my favorite but my husband really enjoyed it. In terms of vibe, it felt very high-end and perfect for a lunch date! I highly recommend visiting Pescado while in Rosemary Beach!

Yelp
Wow, am I glad I have this place a chance! I was SO worried that we were going to have zero chance of getting in here that I almost didn't chance it, but I'm SO glad I did! We ended up coming for a late dinner after 7 and got right in. Every ounce of food and drink was phenomenal! The view, the whole ambiance, loved every minute of it! I cannot recommend this place enough! They take reservations for inside but it's FCFS for the patio/rooftop, so give it a chance!

Yelp
Great spot for dinner and a view! Summer was our server and so pleasant as we had questions about the menu. She helped steer us in the right direction as we weren't sure how small the small plates were. My favorites were the seasonal ceviche, Chesapeake Bay Scallops and the Bourbon Braised pork belly. The chicken fried bobwhite quail was good as well - the sauce that came with it was amazing. Even after finishing the quail, I made sure to finish all of the sauce. We also ordered the whipped potatoes as a side. For dessert, we ordered the bourbon banana bread pudding. As someone who loves banana bread and also bread pudding, I didn't love the combo. It was good, just not for me. Next time I come back to 30A, I'll make sure to get reservations ahead of time so we can get the sunset view. Unfortunately this time, we didn't have a reservation so we waited about 30mins for a table and got up to the rooftop just after the Sun had set.
google avatar

Yelp
Overall we had a great experience. We arrived early, without a reservation, hoping for a table to watch the sunset. Unfortunately the wait was almost an hour and by that time the sun had gone down. We requested a table outdoors and the view was amazing. Food was delicious and portions were good. Our server Roxy was great! They also brought out some bread while we waited but it came out about 30 mins after we sat which was odd. The bar downstairs is also nice, we had a couple delicious drinks while we waited for our table and they had some live music.

Def great for a date night as you will spend a couple hundred dollars just on 2 people.

Yelp
We came here for brunch during our trip. We liked it so much that we came twice during the week. One day we had a reservation and the other we did not but we were sat quickly both times. The day we did not have a reservation we were told it could be a two hour wait but we were sat within just a few minutes. We have been here several times for dinner which is always amazing but this was our first brunch visit. It was incredible! I am normally a bacon and eggs kind of girl but I opted to try the mahi sandwich and it was delicious! I got it both days that we came here. I also tried the fried green tomatoes on the second visit and they were super tasty! I'd highly recommend both! My friends got the French toast and everyone loved it. Our server was so great! His name was Raged. He interacted with the kids in our party and really made a great impression on us. He was kind and very attentive. We had him for both visits. The views are sensational and it's always a great way to start off your day with a visit here. It feels very calm and peaceful when we visit. We love it here and will be adding Pescado to our favorite brunch list going forward!

Yelp
Soooo, first of all, Devon was great! He's a wonderful server and knows his spiel!! He rattled off the specials like the pro he was!! And it was a long list! The food here is elevated to make a twist on old favorites... lobster grilled cheese, omelets with English peas & rosemary ham, fried green tomatoes with Louisiana crawfish butter, chicken & waffles with whipped ricotta, caprese Benedict, etc. There were several choices of brunch drinks: mimosas (several flavors) , signature Bloody Mary, and more! We got a variety of dishes, even the pancakes were taken up a notch! Oh!! And for dessert I had to try the crème brûlée and it was divine!! We had about 12 people at our table and the whole staff worked as a team to make our experience better. The restaurant was a tad upscale, you take an elevator to the main floor where you can get an incredible view of the water on the outside tables. We sat at a long table near the bar, and still had a pretty good view! The light fixtures where coastal and beachy, and the whole place was relaxing! I loved the wooden salt and pepper cellar you can request. There's also a little photo op backdrop to take ussies!! I'd def be back for the pineapple mimosas!! Beach please!! Yaaassss!! (Ps. I had a slight hiccup with my order and they addressed it lickety split! I appreciate that kind of service!)
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent views and food! Very good service. Be sure to make a reservation and sit outside. You won't be disappointed. Just keep in mind, it is not cheap.

Yelp
Wow!!!! What a heavenly meal! The atmosphere was 10/10! They said the wait would be 2 hours, but it ended up being 10 minutes and we had the best spot on the patio!!!! I will say the food was all IMPECCABLE! My wine pour was a little small... smaller than average. But that's okay because the vibes were just so incredible

Yelp
If you are looking for a brunch spot that truly feels like a getaway, Pescado in Rosemary Beach is an absolute gem. From the moment you step onto the rooftop, you are greeted with breathtaking views of the Gulf that instantly set the tone for a relaxed and luxurious meal. The sparkling blue water paired with the white coastal rooftops makes it feel like you are somewhere far away. It is the perfect backdrop for a lazy, beautiful brunch. The food was just as impressive as the view. I started with one of their Bloody Marys, and it was honestly one of the best I have had. Bold, flavorful, and garnished beautifully with fresh veggies and lime, it was the perfect balance of spicy and refreshing and paired so well with the coastal vibe. For my meal, I ordered the Challah French Toast, and it was pure decadence. Thick, fluffy slices topped with a poached pear, whipped MASCARPONE , crushed nuts, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar made every bite a dream. On the side, the creamy grits were rich, comforting, and perfectly cooked, adding a savory touch to balance out the sweetness of the French toast. I also had the chance to try the Ham and Gruyere Omelet, which was cooked to perfection and topped with a creamy, luscious sauce. It came with a side of seasoned potatoes and roasted veggies, which added just the right amount of hearty, savory flavor to round out the dish. Overall, Pescado completely delivered with stunning views, amazing food, and a laid back yet elegant atmosphere. It is the kind of place where you can sit back, sip your drink, enjoy the sunshine, and feel like you have all the time in the world. Definitely a must visit if you are in Rosemary Beach.

Yelp
Came in on Sunday midday and had their brunch menu! Didn't have a reservation and waited ~10 mins for bar seating but would make a reservation if I was coming back w a larger group. The fried green tomatoes were very good and were topped with crawfish. Lobster roll and salad were also excellent! Cut inside vibe and amazing rooftop view.

Audrey B.

Yelp
Quality of food amazing. Quality of service was amazing as well, highly recommended. Rooftop patio great view

Yelp
This place was a dream. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area. The bites were fresh, drinks were excellent and the view was incredible. And they made me feel special on my birthday!

Yelp
AMAZING. every. single. time. Dallas native here! My family comes here every summer while we visit the seaside/ rosemary beach area. Frankie was our server & he was absolutely incredible. So attentive & incredibly kind. Major kudos to him. The food is incredible. We had the tacos & ceviche to start & both were so good. The sweet glaze on the pork belly tacos was just perfect. So good. I had the lobster grilled cheese that Frankie suggested and it was YUMMY-- the tomato bisque was perfectly paired. Parents had the French toast (amazing) & the eggs Benedict (so tasty). Truly such a great time & everyone in the restaurant truly just wants you to have an incredible experience & that's exactly what we got! The ambience is fun & light. Your server isn't the only one making sure you're set up for success-- everyone is helping out. I mean that 1000%. We will be back, like we do every year. You'll definitely drop some $$$ but it's worth every penny I promise!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. We went for brunch and were seated on the rooftop. Gorgeous views, great service, delicious food. The kids menu is great too!

Yelp
I recently ate here with a group of women - we all ordered from different sections of the menu and were all very pleased with our selections. The wait staff was professional and courteous and the views from the roof were incredible! We went at sunset and were blown away by our experience (not literally - there was a nice breeze but nothing chaotic). Several women ordered cocktails throughout the evening and I had a magnificent mocktail. The friends who ordered dessert loved it. I was too full to have a bite from my delicious fish of the day and the vegetable sides and appetizers we shared. Even the filet was cooked to perfection. I will be returning when I'm in the area and I was so impressed with how efficiently they managed our large group. We also had shellfish allergies at the table and they managed it well - we were confident in the kitchen.

Yelp
Five stars!! Had a delicious meal while watching a beautiful sunset. Our server was great and we truly enjoyed our first time here! We started with the scallops and the ceviche. Both were so fresh and delicious. We tried the black cod and bucatini. Loved both! Such a cool spot can't wait to go back!!
google avatar

Yelp
I have had a lot of dirty martinis in my life. This is by far the best. Pescado knows how to make a dirty. Glass ...ice cold. Ice shards...at the top nice and thin. Ask for it extra dirty and it's truly life changing. The ratio of brine to gin is truly perfect. They need to teach a class on how to make a martini, truly amazing.. thank you Pescado!!!!!!!!!

Alexis M.

Yelp
Had a lovely lunch by myself at the bar. The lady waiting on me was extremely helpful and made great suggestions. Best meal i had in rosemary

Yelp
My first time trying this restaurant and it was amazing! The views were great and the service. We will be back for sure!

Yelp
This was an interesting visit Sunday night. Nice place, quite ambiance with a downstairs that was closed and a rooftop that full. We sat at the bar, the dining room was half full. I had heard this was an upscale place, nice but far from that. Service was ok, they were going to pour the wrong champagne, but we caught it on time. The right champagne came, quite warm so it took a while before it got to the right temperature. Food, yes the food.... Brussels sprout were good, but a bit too much balsamic vinegar, great to the palate but it hit your throat when swallowing. The Mac and cheese I have heard so much about. Average. The mussels, surprisingly different approach, but delicious! Going back just for that. The pork belly, cooked to perfection, the side sauce however, did not help the dish; it took away from the pork belly goodness. Going back for that as well. The ceviche was another great dish. White fish and shrimp. Citrus well balanced. Loved it. I was expecting more uniqueness. I will come back for the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food, wonderful service, and the perfect classy beach atmosphere! Went here to celebrate my birthday and would 100% go back! The drinks were expertly crafted and the food was not only beautifully plated and presented but tasted so fresh. Our server, Jessie, was so knowledgeable and was so patient answering all of our questions. A perfect spot to celebrate a birthday, a date night, or just a drink on the patio!

Yelp
Dining at Pescado in Rosemary Beach, Florida was an experience that beautifully blended breathtaking views , expertly crafted cocktails , and elevated cuisine . From the moment I arrived at 4 PM--right when they open--to secure a spot on the coveted outdoor deck (since reservations aren't accepted for that area), I was immediately captivated by the stunning panoramic views of the Gulf . The sun slowly descending into the horizon created an ambiance that was both serene and luxurious, making it the perfect setting for an upscale dining experience. The Food & Drinks The evening began with the octopus appetizer and a Caesar salad , both of which set the tone for a well-curated menu. The octopus was prepared beautifully--tender with just the right amount of char--while the Caesar was crisp, fresh, and well-balanced in flavor. Paired with a craft cocktail , the meal started on a high note. For the entrée, I ordered the lobster special with noodles , listed as market price on the menu. While I expected a premium price tag, I was completely caught off guard when the bill arrived, revealing that the dish alone cost $200 . Given the already upscale nature of Pescado, I anticipated a high-end dining experience, but for a single lobster entrée, this price point felt excessive, even by luxury dining standards. The Service & Transparency While the service throughout the evening was polished and attentive, one major oversight was the lack of communication about the cost of the lobster dish. When an item is priced at such a premium, a simple mention from the server--something as straightforward as, "Just to let you know, the market price for the lobster tonight is $200"--would have been both expected and appreciated. It's a level of transparency that enhances the guest experience and avoids any unnecessary surprises at the end of an otherwise wonderful meal. Final Thoughts There's no question that Pescado delivers on ambiance, quality, and a memorable dining experience. The views alone are worth the visit, and the attention to detail in the menu makes it a standout destination. However, the lack of upfront pricing transparency on high-ticket menu items left a bit of a sour note. Rating: (4/5) Must-visit for the views, cocktails, and appetizers. Be sure to ask about the price of market items before ordering. #LuxuryDining #SunsetViews #GulfCoastEats #KnowBeforeYouOrder

Yelp
All of the food was incredible. Every bite. Bartender was very friendly and attentive despite the restaurant being packed. As an added bonus, the scenery was absolutely stunning.

Yelp
Food was excellent, ambience is top notch. Great service . Expect a wonderful visit. My breakfast was awesome. The French toast was unique and delicious. Lobster roll ahhhhh.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere, delicious food, and great service! I was there for a bachelorette trip. The restaurant was able to accommodate us on the patio for brunch. The view was spectacular!

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place with an ocean view! It's nice for any occasion but especially nice for a dinner date with someone special!
google avatar

Meagan K.

Yelp
The food was excellent and the overall experience was nice. Wish we could have dinner there but unfortunately they don't allow children past 3pm I believe, so we just had lunch. The shrimp and grits was bomb.
google avatar

Christina B.

Yelp
The scenery is beautiful, the restaurant itself has excellent vibes, service was great, cocktails were creative and delicious, food was really really good. It wasn't the best food I've had in Rosemary Beach but would definitely return. Worth a try!

Yelp
After having dinner here and drinks, I'm a little confused why this place is three stars. We sat outside around 3 for cocktail hour and decided to stay for dinner. Roxy was our server and was absolutely phenomenal. She was very knowledgeable of both beverage and food menus and happily answered any questions we had. I genuinely enjoyed our conversations and she knew when to check on us. We split the Mafalda pasta, and it was enough for the both of us. This dish was a 10/10 and WE ARE PICKY eaters. The food came out at a reasonable time and was perfect temp. It's unfortunate this place has three stars after our experience. I think if you are a reasonable and patient person then this is a great restaurant.
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
The food was exceptional. The service was even better. It is a little loud but I would come back over and over. Definitely make reservations in advance.

Yelp
Favorite spot to eat a nice dinner on 30A! We go almost every trip we are there , and it is a 10/10 experience everytime. The service is amazing and patient, the food is out of this world, and I love the beachy fine dining atmosphere. Everything on the menu is absolutely incredible, so you truly can't go wrong.
google avatar

Michaella G.

Yelp
Great food Great drinks Great views Great service Everything about this place is a yes. I know, the wait is long but go grab a drink at the bar and get to know some people waiting for a table with you. The time will fly by

Yelp
The lobster was one of the best I've ever had! I always recommend this place to everyone I know visiting Rosemary Beach! Sooo delicious, cute restaurant and good drinks too! Make reservations early so they can accommodate you!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food and views! Our server went above and beyond. Great, but pricey, drinks. Gorgeous rooftop view.
google avatar

Yelp
We were in 30A for a quick little getaway to get some sun, salt and sand. We stopped in Pescado for cocktail hour and had a few drinks. I had the Unforgettable, I don't typically drink vodka but I love spicy so I took a chance on it and then ordered a second. My son had a Summer Dreamin. I tried it but I preferred my spicy option. Delish! Great service!

Yelp
We were seated very quickly for Saturday brunch which was amazing. I suggest getting a reservation - we got lucky we came during a lull. Ordered the gulf shrimp which was different than expected but delicious! Our waiter Peter was very professional and helped us decide what to get. The upstairs has a nice vibe to it, especially when the weather is nice and the windows are open.
google avatar

Lucy L.

Yelp
We went here as a group of 7 for brunch on Saturday morning. First off, the food was amazing. Not a single complaint. I personally had the eggs Benedict and challah French toast. I wish I lived closed so I could have them both again! Our server was attentive and very sweet. The only negative was that the food took a while to come out but we forgot all about that once it was in front of us. The restaurant itself is very cute and has beautiful views of the ocean. Note, if you have a larger party like we did you'll have to be seated inside. Add this one to your list!

Yelp
Thanks to COVID and my daughter's wedding it's been a while but Pescado delivered just like they did 6 years ago, We shared the stuffed flounder packed with shrimp, crab, lobster potatoes, and corn. So good! We'll be back in 2026!

Avery S.

Yelp
Went at 1:45PM I am 16 years old. The sign says all ages welcome before 3:30PM. The host refused to let me in and just said because her manager said so. False advertising and they made me feel very unwelcome. Horrible experience only catered to adults. If ur under 21 don't even think of coming here.
google avatar

Carmen S.

Yelp
We went for brunch on a Saturday morning. Gabriel was our server and was super friendly and attentive. We started with the French toast, then chased that with the lobster grilled cheese and smash burger. All food items were fantastic. It was a misty day, but the view was still incredible. Highly recommend:

Yelp

Yelp
Pescado is a very recommended spot for anyone going to Rosemary and 30A. We were not able to score a reservation for the main dining (tried 1-2 weeks before our visit). We thought we would miss out on Pescado for our first visit, however we were pedaling by on our bikes at thought we wanted to have a drink up on their lookout spot! Checked in with the hostess downstairs, she called upstairs and they had room for us! We sat at the bar looking over the outside dining patio and towards the water. Great view! We ordered cocktails and wine and an appetizer. Very pleased and was so happy to have the opportunity to have drinks here!
