"This elegant seafood-focused eatery brings Mediterranean coastal flair to the prairies of southeastern Minnesota. With a from-scratch kitchen, excellent wine list, and large menu, Pescara is not your average hotel restaurant. Be sure to sample some of the divine side dishes available during dinner service, like the smoked gouda hash browns, wild mushroom risotto, and brussels sprouts with pancetta." - Katy Spratte Joyce

"This steak and seafood spot boasts an upscale vibe, but is also open to children. Open for breakfast, brunch (a buffet!), lunch, and dinner throughout the week, Pescara also has happy hour specials that offer a sampling of their seafood-focused menu for a fraction of the cost." - Cinnamon Janzer

Prepared with care, presented in pleasant simplicity. A nice fine dining experience. Cioppino ranks among the best I’ve had. Salmon with lemon garlic sauce was prepared just right, neither undercooked nor overcooked. The sauce was not overpowering.

Nice lunch. I had blackened salmon sandwich which was quite good. Good desert. Coffee could be better. We went back for lunch on 12-20-2021. The scallops were exceptionally good. Mushroom sauce was good but a bit too salty. The blueberry cheesecake was wonderful. Our server was great. I have updated my rating to 5 stars.

Like many people who may be visiting a Mayo Clinic patient, visiting a provider, or volunteering, finding a place for lunch nearby is often a norm. I’ve asked other staff, locals, and conducted a search…the Pescara Restaurant came up several times. So, I just had to visit and find their tag line “From scratch menu. World class culinary team.” is absolutely true. I had the Fish Tacos and chose the Lobster Bisque as my side. As you can see, I truly enjoy seafood, especially when fresh and well prepared. Both fit that description and were a perfect combination. The cabbage slaw, charred corn salsa, queso fresco, and cilantro in the Fish Tacos were all very fresh and nicely complemented by the avocado cream and lime vinaigrette. I highly recommend this dish. It is a tremendous value at only $16.95. I ordered a small Apple Amablu Salad mixed greens to go – because I had multiple people recommend it to me. All the ingredients were so fresh, it kept well till dinner time. It came with the biggest dried cherries that I’ve ever had, candied walnuts, red onion, and in a buttermilk dressing with a touch of garlic. I see why it is a best seller. Also, it’s handy that you can order it in two sizes. Another aspect that stands out is the quality of service. There was ample staff on hand at a busy hour. Everyone conducted themselves very professionally. They presented themselves well, were pleasant, and helpful. Overall a fantastic dining experience in Rochester, MN. I plan to try out the dinner seafood menu my next trip to Mayo.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We came at lunch time and despite having a reservation, the place was very empty - however, it filled up fast ! Just an attestation to how amazing the food was. We started off with the calamari, which I wasn't as keen on trying compared to my husband. I've tried too much calimari that's excessively chewy or overcooked. Not this appetizer! I was pleasantly surprised and I have to say it's the best calimari I've ever had. The breading was perfect and the dipping sauce at the bottom was phenomenal and reminiscent of sushi spicy mayo sauce. I got a lemonade which is made in-house and it was delicious. Reminded me of the lemonade I often find fresh at the farmers market. So good! Next up I ordered the crab cake sliders with lobster bisque and my husband ordered the walleye sandwich with fries. Everything was incredible ! The sliders were tasty and light and the lobster bisque was some of the best I've ever had - comparable to the bisque I've had in the west coast. Very creamy and delicious. We couldn't leave without dessert. We agreed on the caramel croissant bread pudding and it blew us away. Such a pleasant flavor explosion! I loved the ice cream on top. The combo of the ice cream, caramel, nuts, and bread pudding was fantastic. A little disappointed they didn't serve a complimentary treat for our anniversary, but regardless I'm not knocking down stars for that since we were planning on getting the bread pudding anyway. Overall a fantastic gem in Rochester and some of the best seafood I've had in a long time.

I’m picky about food but I’m really impressed at Pescara. I could say this is the best restaurant in Rochester for me and I highly recommend everyone should try it. Worth every penny! Highly recommended the mussel and the cioppino! The staffs is really friendly and nice too. If I can give more stars, it would not just stop at 5*.

Jesus our waiter was amazing. Ask HIM what he would eat. Their chef will NOT disappoint. Once the table next to us saw the delicious French toast blended with cinnamon inside plus the presentation with fresh strawberries topped it off! Great coffee and omelette with Gouda cheese as a surprise. What a treat! Now off to Mayo!

One of my favorite dinning place in Rochester. Plenty of space inside. Friendly staffs. Like their Norwegian Salman. Calamari fry good as usual. Soup was just perfect. Clean environment. Good for family and kids. Outside sittings are available too. Close to university and post office.

Haven’t been here in a few years but my mom wanted to go together on their last day doing breakfast before it switches to a dormitory upstairs. I was impressed still although it was a nice buffet spread like I was used to seeing in years past it was still good. My plates were demolished. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Also the manager Andre checked in on our table and made sure everything was going fine. My complaint is unimportant now since they won’t serve breakfast anymore, but they need more ala carte items for breakfast. I had to order 2 entrees just to get the normal sides of bacon, potatoes and eggs with my French toast entree. Otherwise good experience and might have to come back and try the lunch/ dinner menu.
