Google
A Pakistani northern area halal food restaurant , being operated by a customer- friendly Pakistani owner with friendly staff. We ordered Beef Chapli kabab, Lamb Kabli palao plater, chicken Biryani plater and Naan. All things were delicious except Biryani, which did not have spices and taste of real Pakistani Biryani.Prices were reasonable.Suggest to consider reduction in the prices of Tikka/ special kabab, etc to retain customers.Furniture is modest; however, toilet need proper cleaning.and equipment repair.Overall, recommended for dining in or take away.

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant hands down the best Peshawari food I’ve had in a long time! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. What truly made the visit exceptional was the amazing customer service. Our server, Wajid, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that did not disappoint. If you’re looking for delicious Peshawari cuisine and top-notch hospitality, this place is a must-visit. Big thanks to Wajid and the entire team for such a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
They have variety of Pakistani and Afghani food, I had lamb shank with Afghani pilulao, and that was delicious! Kheer is good but a bit more sweet. Atmosphere is very peshaweri 🙂 Parking options available at roadside

Google
I was very disappointed with the hygiene at this restaurant. The tables were sticky, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. I also noticed the staff handling food without gloves and touching other surfaces in between. The cutlery and glasses didn’t look properly washed, and the bathroom was in poor condition. It really made me lose my appetite. Definitely won’t be coming back to this restaurant.

Google
My go-to Pakistani spot. Because Indian food is overpriced and just doesn't hit the same if you’re used to eating Pakistani food. I just picked up lunch for 15 dollars and wow...portions are massive and it’s good! Will be ordering more often now! My family and I ate dine-in once too, not upscale dining but the food is tasty!

We are regular visitors of Peshawari kebabs in Waltham, and our experiences have been a mix of highs and lows. On the positive side, the food is flavorful and authentic — the kebabs and curries are well-seasoned, and the menu offers a great variety of traditional dishes. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience enjoyable. One naan is impressively large, easily enough to share among three people. On the downside, cleanliness is an area that could use improvement. The restaurant overall can feel a bit untidy, and the bathroom, in particular, requires more attention and regular maintenance. Addressing this would greatly enhance the overall experience. In summary, Peshawari kebab offers solid food and good service, but I would recommend visiting with the hope that cleanliness and bathroom upkeep improve.

Google
The restaurant was absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked — the chicken was especially juicy and delicious. The portions were well balanced for one person, though generous enough to share depending on your appetite. The owner was extremely gentle and welcoming, creating a warm, family-oriented atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I also have to mention the person behind the cash register — he was very polite, helpful, and even took the time to recommend the best dishes to try. While the restaurant could use a small update in its décor, its charm, hospitality, and high-quality food more than make up for it. A wonderful spot for families and anyone who appreciates genuine service and great taste!

Google
We took a stop in Boston last weekend during our road trip and went to try this restaurant. It totally justifies the name. The one of the most authentic Peshawari Karahi and Chapli Kababs were beyond imagination. Super fluffy naans, Super tasty Pulao and Kheer. We were a group of 10 and had opportunity to taste various things and nothing disappointed us in any way. Met the owner who was a humble and welcoming man doing his best to bring as authentic food as possible. Whenever we are in Boston next time, this is our definite spot for Halal food.

Yelp
I cannot begin to describe how delicious their food is. Especially their kebabs and gyro wraps. The people who work here are so nice, the food is friggen fantastic. And the best part? All at a really good and fair price. So it's unbeatable value. Come support! Especially try the chicken gyro wrap! And to the people who've written nasty reviews about the place being dirty, hear me: you are butts who probably were raised wearing bubble wrap. The place is clean, it's just not brand spanking new and sterile like the fancy places you flock to. This is a family run restaurant, and it's decorated as such. The food is freaking fantastic and authentic, the staff are so nice and hospitable, and the ambiance is just what you want for a place like this. Go somewhere else if you have nothing nice to say. This place is a diamond in the rough!
google avatar

Kasem W.

Yelp
While the food is good (except lamb dishes that are dry and overcooked), portions are generous, and the ambiance is cute, and service is really good ... the place is disgustingly NASTY! It's like eating inside a dumpster! The cook is putting kebobs on skewers with his bare hands after touching cashier register and a bunch of other things. We could see insects crawling, leftover food on tables, dirty floor ... utterly disgusting! When an eatery is not clean, nothing else matters. It's really not that hard to clean up. Oh, and if you do decide to go there, avoid the bathroom by all means... "DO NOT GO IN THERE" - Ace Ventura!

Henry A.

Yelp
the gyro was not very good. Sorry, not much more to add Meet was dry and fries were sub par.... Place seemed to need to be better cleaned up inside too Staff was nice
google avatar

Roger M.

Yelp
Excellent flavorful kebabs that are prepared to order. This is not a fancy place and it did not seem busy. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Pour some of the tasty, complimentary green tea or buy a canned drink from the fridge. I recommend the green tea. the meats were flavorful and the rice is spicy. Enjoy
google avatar

Miss C.

Yelp
Ordered a chicken wrap and there was a giant bone in it. Not worth the money. That's pretty much all I have to say.
google avatar

Noor Q.

Yelp
Peshawari Kebabs is a must visit for lovers of authentic Peshawari cuisine! Their Chapli Kabob is perfectly spiced and melts in your mouth, while their variety of kebabs with fragrant rice is simply outstanding. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and served with care. The warm ambiance and attentive staff make it a top choice for any occasion. Highly recommend! Quraishi

Yelp
Phenomenal food at this place! I had the combination plate (#15) with two x chicken tikka kebab, and as my third protein I chose the beef kofta. Really tasty flavors and super fresh. The biryani was delicious that comes with the dish. I really want to come back to try their chicken tikka masala as I enjoy the sauce. They do catering orders as well for larger groups. They serve complimentary green tea which was bomb. Really nice people, quick service - super casual place which I really like. There are areas in the back to sit more traditionally on the ground with mats.
google avatar

Numan K.

Yelp
Good food fresh and tasty. Been there on many occasions. Catering has been good as well.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
Dropped my son off to his first meet and greet tonight with his overnight camp so I had a couple of hours to kill in Waltham. Highly recommend the curry goat and chicken masala, the fresh naan is so good! The owner or person at the counter was so exceptionally nice, even offering samples of things before I ordered then gave me this free delicious coconut ice cream!
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Soo tasty! It's sort of a hole in the wall place in Waltham and also one of the few Halal restaurants around here. It's located right next to a public parking lot which is very convenient! There's also some street parking near by which is awesome. The restaurant is actually larger than it appears, there's quite a good amount of seating. Let me tell you that these kebobs were some of the best I've had. I got the chicken kofta kebob platter and these kebobs were incredibly juicy, flavorful and well-seasoned. I also asked for spicy rice, and the rice wasn't spicy, but definitely seasons which was a plus! We put in our orders very quickly and the person serving us was so nice. We ended up getting take-out so we didn't sit in unfortunately. My friend also got veggie samosas and wow, they were so crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside, it was not overpowering with spice and yet was packed with vegetables and flavor. I would definitely recommend getting the samosas and chicken kebobs. They were also a really good price for delicious food. I'm really excited to try the other items they offer, everything is so tasty! I totally recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Peshawri Kebabs : This restaurant need to improve in every area,we ordered kabobs with rice and gyros with wrap, all kabob pieces are significantly dried and and old meat smells.. Over all atmosphere is dirty.Their restroom is unbearable dirty. We will never go again and don't recommend any one to try this restaurant..
google avatar

Oliver F.

Yelp
Good guys, food is good. The place could be cleaner. I tried the haleem which was really good. Try the chicken chapli kabab
google avatar

Sana S.

Yelp
We often come here for takeout and sometimes to dine in. The Chapli kebabs are so good, especially the chicken ones and love to get it with extra red onions on a bed of biryani/spicy rice. I love the chicken tikka masala here and often eat it with garlic naan, it's delicious. We just added goat nihari as a staple favorite from here, not spicy at all, just pure flavor. Whenever we dine in, they give everything in takeout containers and leave paper plates and plastic utensils because they request you clean up after yourself since there are like two workers max here. Dark on the inside and authentic feel with the cross-legged tables for big parties. Great place to consider for catering.
google avatar

Chrissy L.

Yelp
Got the mix chicken beef chapli kabab and the chicken kofta kabab roll up plus a side of naan. Both chapli kabob and kofta roll up were delicious. Meat well seasoned but not too salty, came with delicious sauces. Only thing that was so-so was the side of naan - probably bought in bulk and just warmed up, nothing special but gets the job done. So skip the side of naan and get the main kabab dishes and you can't go wrong!
google avatar

Zeroo E.

Yelp
Someone of the best middle eastern rice I've had. The samosa is great. Price is very reasonable. Service/staff are nice. And decor is an authentic afghani decor which is a plus!

Khalid S.

Yelp
Overall, food was mediocre. Based on the recommendation from the cashier, I ended up ordering their chicken and lamb kebab combo. Also, got a nakeem lassi and Gulab jamun. Best part of the meal was the rice. Lamb kebab tasted stale and the chicken kebab were better. Namkeen lassi was good but you could still taste of ice. I might try them another time but kinda disappointed.

RM J.

Yelp
Awesome first experience. Great tasting kebab and rice will definitely return and try more items on menu Don't go for the interior decor
google avatar

Garrett Y.

Yelp
The Biryani is still really good, but I was disappointed. The chicken tikka used to be better cuts of meat, they show pictures of boneless meat, but they're not. It used to be boneless pieces that were the same size. The lamb was very dry. But the side salad. They have a pic of lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, tomato, and olives. It's just a small pile of lettuce.

Sukanya A.

Yelp
Went there seeing the ratings and was highly dissatisfied. We tried the chicken chapli and chicken tikka. The chapli was cooked nicely but the flavor was missing. It was truly quite bland. The chicken tikka just had a single seasoning - lots of chemical food coloring. Would not recommend it at all considering these two were the best selling dishes.
google avatar

Enosh K.

Yelp
Great texture and moisture on the food - fresh ingredients and great cooking. If you don't know where to start menu wise : I suggest starting with the chicken tikkah kabobs and palow rice - that's just me. And high marks on the kabouli palow - coming from an Afghan.
google avatar

Areeba Z.

Yelp
What a find! Pakistani food is very hard to find in the Boston Area, I'm so glad I came across this place on GrubHub! We were a party of 6 and we all got a variety of plates and meat. I got chicken tikka with garlic naan and rasmalai with lassi. The chicken tikka was very well seasoned. It came with side chutney and a white/garlic sauce. The serving size was decent. The garlic naan was straight out of the tandoor. It was loaded with garlic. The rasmalai was smaller than expected but tasted delicious! The lassi- was bottled and the salty (not sweet). I'll definitely be back to try other kebabs.
google avatar

Zan D.

Yelp
Casual restaurant with great food. The space is very basic and a little run down. There is a raised area where you can eat with a large group on carpet with little pillows which can be fun with friends. The portions are big and the meat is juicy and flavorful. Basic, good food. The staff is always super friendly as well. One of the times I visited I asked about the special but did not order it. When they brought out my food, they had a little plate of the special with my order. Really great spot for takeout or super casual meal if you don't mind a run down interior.

Susan C.

Yelp
This place is absolutely delicious. We had the chicken Tikki masala and the naan (garlic and regular). Everything was incredible: fresh flavorful and unique. The outside looks like it is an average fast food place but nothing about the food is average. Delicious!
google avatar

C D.

Yelp
Wow! Just wow. Amazing food. So friendly and I'm only sad that I don't have much reason to visit Waltham. The naan was so so good. The lamb was slow cooked and perfect. The staff very gracious and helpful.

Cloven H.

Yelp
Good food , the chapli kebabs were very flavored and the man serveing was friendly as well. Tasted the kheer and it was good too.
google avatar

Misbah A.

Yelp
Excellent food! It was authentic and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food, especially the chapli kababs, chicken and beef kababs, chicken tikkka, peshawari mutton karhai, chicken karahi and i have to say the most delicious hot samosas!! Mint lassi was awesome!! Great atmosphere Keep up the great work! We will be back.
google avatar

Julia L.

Yelp
Super extensive menu with huge portions, and very affordable for the quality! Service is super friendly and quick, and a really cool atmosphere. I got the chicken tikka plate with a side of samosas and falafel. My only very small complaint would be that the chicken was a little bony, which wasn't a big deal, just would have loved more of the meat which was absolutely delicious! Samosas were perfectly crispy on the outside and had a nice mild kick to them. Falafel was also fantastic, perfect texture and flavor. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area and wish it was closer to me!!
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
Great food and a mixed decor. We had the #48. Grill Kobab Special 9 Skewers - 2 Chicken Kofta, 2 Chicken Tikka, 2 Beef Kofta, 2 Beef Tikka, 1 Lamb for $53. Very flavorful, not bland like most kebab places I've been to. Everyone was pleased with the portion size. Strange mix of takeout front counter with ample seating, incl. traditional 'floor' seating on carpet, in the back. Limited table service when we were there, however you can't get your own water which was a real downside with spicy food + limited table service. From the set up, I wonder if there is real table service when it's more crowded.

Afnan N.

Yelp
masala was very oily & not tasty. Takeout food came in a styrofoam plate which was odd and not appetizing

Will B.

Yelp
Great restaurant. Everything on the menu is fresh and flavorful. Great service, friendly. I recommend the chicken malai boti and mutton Bihari with fresh naan.
google avatar

Andi P.

Yelp
We now order from here regularly, the kebab are flavorful and not dry at all. Portions are generous, staff is friendly, and yes, they worked out their initial fumbles with timing and now orders are completed in a timely fashion.
google avatar

sarah h.

Yelp
Food was very good. Some of the best I've had in the area. Service was good and staff was very nice. I got take out and everything was ready on time and nothing was missing
google avatar

Fauzia N.

Yelp
This place is one of the best in the Boston City and Surrounding Areas. It's a Pakistani restaurant with both "traditional" seating (where you remove your shoes and sit cross legged on the floor) and a separate area with tables and chairs. The food is delicious and they try their best to adjust the spice to your level. The staff are a delight to converse with and hospitable. Minor improvements can be made with their self service area, restroom, and wait time but overall this place is a wonderful small business to support! Recommended and Favourite Dishes: Chicken Kebab roll up and Cajun fries
google avatar

The Tough And Honest Critic O.

Yelp
Excellent chapli kebabs! Tastes like they do in Peshawar. Tons of options for grilled meat! Samosas are delish!! So is the biriyani and pulao rice. The mint chutney ("green sauce") is fabulous!! Unfortunately they don't deliver to us so we'll have to drive 20 minutes to do another pick up, which we will!
google avatar

Eddie R.

Yelp
The place doesn't really look inspiring from the outlook and could use some basic interior design. The art work is from Pakistan and seems oriented towards truck art ( good effort ) but certainly lacking the tasteful decor. Food is not bad but not quite there yet may be because they are short staffed. We ordered mutton Karahi which was pretty good compared to any normal Pakistani/ Indian restaurant where most of the menu items taste the same thanks to Shan Masala. These guys for sure put an effort by using their own original recipe inspired by peshwari namakeen Karahi from Peshawar. They could certainly use some help with the presentation as the dinner was served in styrofoam plates which is a hallmark of Pakistani restaurants in US ( odd way of cost savings). Overall its a good hole in the wall type of setting and could be a go to spot for a desi guys night out
google avatar

Monica S.

Yelp
The food is so so good! So happy this place opened up in Waltham! We got the Chicken Tikka and Beef kofta, both we will definitely be getting again. The Biryani rice was delicious! Honestly wish I saved some for lunch tomorrow, but I had to go in for seconds‍ Check this place out for sure!!
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
This is my fiance's and my go to when we need a quick, yummy bite that wont break the bank. We usually get the mixed gyro and its pretty large. I could finish one but then I wouldn't be able to move LOL! The gyro itself is well stuffed, no skimping on the meat. The chicken tikka curry is always yummy and the rice is always well cooked. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Shrabasti R.

Yelp
Awesome Kabobs! One of our favorites now. We often take take out from this place. Spicy authentic kabobs. We tried Chapli kebab, tandoori wings, lamb shank, tandoori chicken and beef kebobs. I like both biriyani rice and pilaf rice. highly recommend.

Yasir K.

Yelp
So good I went back the day after. Kababs done perfectly, not overly spiced but plenty of flavor. Chapli kebab best I've had state side. Much appreciated from a fellow Pathan. Will be back again soon!

Myra W.

Yelp
Food is extraordinary and truly Peshawari, which is a gift for this town and the Boston area. I would definitely take out, cater and eat at this location as a loyal customer. I wish this business the best.
google avatar

John Y.

Yelp
I've eaten here 3 times now. The first time I got the 9 kebab family plate. All the meat was cut up but if connected I doubt it was 9 kebabs. My second visit I ordered the 3 kebab plate. It comes with 2 beef kofta and one more of your choice. I picked lamb kebab for the 3rd and that was a big mistake. It was dry and hard to chew. I liked the spicy rice and beef kofta though. 3rd time I got the beef and lamb gyro and the same 3 kebab plate. I chose all kebabs to be beef kofta this time, with spicy rice...but they gave me non spicy rice, argh!!! I had to add sriracha at home and I feel it alters the flavor. The gyro had good portions of meat and was priced well. If you call in, prepare to wait longer than expected. Each time I went there, no one was at the front to greet me or get my order. My order was never ready either despite me showing up as set on their website or later. Anyways, the food is decent except for the lamb.
google avatar

Aaqib V.

Yelp
The Chapli kebabs were great and so was their Nihari. The Tikka and other boti kebabs are also good!
google avatar

Chloe L.

Yelp
Make sure to eat with the side yogurt, nice and satisfying! I thoroughly enjoyed it. By the way they have the best popsicles, literally THE BEST. Got myself a whole stash there y'all know what I mean?
google avatar

Jeffrey L.

Yelp
This place was underwhelming, it's a bit different as we were expecting something closer to Greek-Armenian food but the dishes are more Indian fusion? The Naan was not like traditional thin Indian naan and came out like thick pizza dough (had to throw most of it away), the Beef tikka pieces were tiny and too tough, the gyro was not authentic Greek gyro with shaved pork. The only decent dish that we had was the Koftka. Overall just can't recommend it.
google avatar

Hassan J.

Yelp
Have ordered a couple of times from here .... love the kebob! The prices are very reasonable also. there is a parking lot across the street

Zed S.

Yelp
Casual place with nice decor. Don't expect fine dining, you're coming here for great food and authentic Pakistani food, especially Peshawari-style, is hard to come by in the Boston area. You're getting it here. It's worth the drive, and parking is ample.

Lawrence C.

Yelp
This Afghan restaurant is a treasure, featuring a terrific range of kebabs and so much more, the real deal, very well made.

Ralphie F.

Yelp
Excellent food Great Service Fantastic Owner if you like Food from the Middle East this has to be your go to place ! My wife and our good friend had dinner there and we could not have been more impressed You can also get traditional sandwiches that look wonderful. very fairly priced. parking lot clean
google avatar

Rachael A.

Yelp
Small hole in the wall appearance, but delicious food. My daughter loved her Falafel Gyro and I had the Lamb Gyro Lunch Plater. Definitely will go back when I'm in the area.
