Pestana Alvor South Beach

We had such a lovely stay. The hotel is very laid back & chilled. The pools are lovely(all 3 of them). The food was great & all the staff were friendly & attentive. Katrina on reception was exceptional. She went out of her way to help us & made our stay memorable. The only request is more parasols around the pool - otherwise it's a perfect holiday hotel & we will definitely be back

Had a fantastic stay in the Pestana Alvor South Beach for a week with my family. All of staff were extremely kind and very attentive, made us feel right at home. The rooms and hotel grounds were very clean. Spent most days by the 3 pools which also included food and bar service (food is lovley and fresh)and was spacious. The walk into the town is not far and if you don't want to walk the hotel will order you a taxi. Private hotel access to the board walk which took us to the beach each evening for a sunset swim. All in all a very relaxing and pleasant stay.

We had a lovely holiday here. Nice hotel, great breakfast and fantastic location on the beach. We were very kindly allocated a room which overlooked the beach and had great views. Only (very minor) things to improve, was the pool was a little cold, and the coffee wasn’t great But a fantastic experience overall

We stayed here for two weeks and loved the location — it’s probably the best you’ll find in Alvor. The hotel is modern, clean, and the pool area is absolutely stunning. It’s right on the beach, so you can spend your days by the sea, and in the evenings it’s a short, scenic walk into Alvor along the boardwalk. Watching the sunset over the estuary and walking back under the stars was a highlight. The food at the hotel was just okay — not bad, but not memorable either. That said, with so many great restaurants in town just a walk away, it didn’t bother us too much

We have had the most perfect holiday staying in this wonderful hotel for the past 10 days. As a family of 5, with ages ranging from 12 to 86 years of age, all of our needs were met. All of the staff clearly cared about their jobs and did their best to ensure that our stay was perfect. There was a lot of attention to detail, such as drinks upon arrival, a bottle of water for each of us when we left, check ins to see if we are all ok and offers of coffee at the breakfast table each morning. The vibe of the hotel was relaxed and quiet. Despite visiting mid August we often had one of the three pools all to ourselves. The breakfasts were amazing and there was so much to choose from. We would 100% recommend this hotel and its location to anyone. Thank you Team Pestana for making our holiday so special. You are all amazing.

This is our 4th time and it's a wonderful place, never a shortage of beds and never a staff member without a smile or a hello. We seen some familiar staff faces which shows it's a good place to work. See you all next year, thanks to all at the front desk, the bar and the room cleaning team, especially Victoria who made the room up beautifully for our anniversary. Take care Mark & Gaynor

This hotel is a brilliant little place to stay (as adults with two kids and no need for Michelin starred restaurants). It’s very chilled out, with great pools and easy access to the beach and to Alvor. The food here is excellent as in the service.

We are nearing the end of our first Portugal holiday and I would like to recommend Pestana Alvor South Beach to anyone who is wanting to experience a chilled, modern and quaint hotel vibe. We have no complaints whatsoever and would like to thank all of the staff for their warm and friendly welcome each day of our stay. Facilities were amazing and we have nothing but positive feedback with the breakfast, room, swimming pools, reception and bar areas. Thank you for making our holiday a lovely one and one to remember!

Any hotel that offers you a complimentary Gin & Tonic during check in is ahmazzzing in my book. I honestly thought when she offered it we'd have to pay. The hotel has a style that reminds me of the SLS hotels. I was in love with how the place looked when we first walked in, the simple things that impress me sometimes. We were upgraded to a second floor with the pool view. Preppy mixed with bright colors of red, orange and yellow. Our room was nice, I always get a little worried with trendy lobby hotels, they always seem to skimp on the room. The bed was really comfortable and had soft sheets. We drove from Lisbon, so we wanted to be sure there was easy parking, some hotels didn't have parking available. There's a dedicated parking lot but you can also park along the side with no problem. Breakfast is included in your stay, with plenty of options, from sweets to healthy items such as special MTO eggs. Umm, they also offer free mimosas in your breakfast, I was so surprised and couldn't turn one down. Last but not least the hotel is located right on the beach. There are plenty of available beach chairs close to the hotel or you can take a 15 minutes walk to some amazing views. There's also a great path to do a morning run. Overall we had a wonderful experience! I'd definitely recommend this place!!
