Pestana Douro Riverside

We really enjoyed our stay at Pestana Douro Riverside. The location was perfect, close to the city center, but not right in the middle of the city which made it very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of options. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable as well, we slept really well. And the river view from the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed our time here. If we return to Porto, we will definitely choose Pestana Douro Riverside again.

It's a great place if You're planning on visiting Porto either for a weekend or few extra days. The location is great! The view from the rooms at the 6th floor, simply amazing with the panoramic windows and the terrace straight onto the river! Very original design, vast spaces, great bars, lounge and the outdoor section but what is a truly bombshell is the restaurant and it's 5* Menu where You can find an extraordinary pallet of different dishes, all with a great taste and the super friendly staff of very kind, smiling and working with great manners waiters. Specially big thanks to Sofia and Wellington! Definitely will be coming back once visiting Porto again.

Ideal locatin with very friendly staff. Good facilities at the hotel and their sister hotel next door for leisure facilities.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, and the staff were very kind and helpful throughout my visit. I was also very pleased with the reasonable price, especially considering the high quality of the facilities and service. Thank you for providing such great hospitality and value. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again Don't miss view of all rooms it was very attractive.

João welcomed me and my girlfriend excellently, we did turn up slightly early without realising on my part and they let us have a room with only a ten minute wait. The room was excellent with river views and I didn’t hear a noise my whole stay from traffic or people. I used the gym three times and loved the fact I could put MTV on while running and the indoor pool was intimate for a little cool down. Breakfast was nice and varied with local treats and some quality baked beans for my British taste buds. I would definitely stay here again and the hotel made my trip to Porto better if I’m honest, if the hotel had been disappointing my whole trip would have been ruined but knowing I could chill on my balcony with that view made me very happy. Thank you.

Great hotel with outstanding service! I was staying in Porto during a business trip and decided to give the Douro Riverside a try - and it was more than worth it. I had a very warm welcome at the front desk, was quickly checked in and even got upgraded for free, and was then escorted to my room. The room was spacious and very clean. Big bathroom with everything you need for your stay. After a quick shower, I headed directly to the restaurant. On the first evening, Hugo took care of me and did an outstanding job. Just a quick look and he already knew what I was missing. Hugo, please keep up this attitude! I am looking forward being your guest soon again! The hotel offers various areas, such as working area, gym, spa and two pools. Definitely not my last visit here, thank you very much!

We had a very lovely stay at the Pestana Douro! The room was amazing with a breath taking view, it was very fresh cleaned and the decor is well inline with the theme of the hotel! The breakfast is nice with a large choice of food options. To my taste it was missing bananas at fruit buffet and after a request to the staff, they delivered one to me the next day, that was nice service! We also enjoyed the dinner at Aroma restaurant every night as part of half board, we could choose from a reduce menu card and a large buffet at times, so it had a great variety of food for everyone's taste. A special mention to the evening staff at restaurant which were so nice and always a pleasant word to the customers, esp Tatiana which was so sweet and made sure we were happy and enjoyed our stay in Porto, its the little things that makes a big difference and for that we highly recommend this hotel and will look to return to Pestana hotels group for our future destinations! Thank you!

The restaurant was fantastic! Migy and Matheus did an excellent job along with all of the staff making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and the drinks were fabulous. Will come back.
