Google
McKayla was so nice and offered some suggestions on what cheeses we would like (the spicy jack on sourdough was a great combination for grilled cheese). We were able to get a tour and Kevin was so knowledgeable! You can taste the difference in quality and approach at this local creamery.

Staff was wonderfully, and the prices great. The sandwich was a great value and really good. The ice cream had very little flavor and seemed very icy, not very creamy at all

This place is run by kids who have no idea what they are doing and care more about social media than listening to customers. The bread was stale, the cheese sample selection was slim and they gave a look when you ask for others that were out. They were out of the tri-tip sandwich, as well as any lettuce and tomato you wanted on the sandwich they did have. Ordered a grilled cheese with tomato and she put mayo on it, never said they didn’t have tomato. Then, they also ran out of bread (makes sense why it was stale). Didn’t bother with the ice cream since it looked sad. The girl also didn’t wash her hands in between handling money/using the register and making the sandwiches. The business’ social media is what brought us to visit and it was an extremely disappointing experience. Also, if your friends are going to visit, maybe don’t act like you work there by standing behind the counter… The cheese isn’t even anything to write home about.

Don’t even try going here. Came all the way from San Jose just to find out that they were closed on a Saturday at 2:30? Doors were locked and the employee was just looking from the inside, not even acknowledging us. Left and headed down to Angela’s WHICH WAS OPEN and very kind to us. Y’all lost a customer and I hope you lose more 🤞

I've been going to the creamery since I was a little kid. We used to have factory tours and saw how cheese was made..for a child, it's an experience that you never forget. As an adult, you can bet your bottom dollar that I have not forgotten the temptation of glorious dairy products offered up by this Petaluma institution. I have said many, many times they have the best ice cream in the world, and folks, I've eaten a lot of ice cream..and gelato..and every ice cream derivative in my life. But in all seriousness, I will stop in here every time when I'm back in my hometown to have some of their fine goods. If you love creamy, pure, unadulterated bliss in the form of ice cream, go stop in today and be happy 🍦🍦🍦

Google
I’m sorry for not reviewing sooner. If you travel thru Petaluma & do not find yourself stopping here for a cheese sample, fresh ice cream or a cup of coffee, you’re not treating yourself right! Come here & enjoy the wonder of a Lavender Ice Cream!! This is my “Go To” when I visit the Bay Area, aside from In N’ Out & family/friends this is the other must visit!

Yelp
Excited to finally go inside!! The counter girl was so nice and helpful with suggestions and samples. Great prices for really good cheese. The ice cream and sherbet were also really good.

Such a cool experience to see how the butter is made and to know all the cows are pasture raised.

Yelp
It looked promising, but to say we were underwhelmed by our experience here is an understatement. The spot is pretty cute & bbq smoke wafts as you approach. Inside, it's not very big, but it looked clean. There are cheeses to purchase, a small section of merchandise & knickknacks, an ice cream counter, a sandwich counter, & tables & chairs. There was just one man there who was tending to things outside & doing tasks inside who NEVER acknowledged us in any manner AT ALL. He just carried on. The ice cream counter had a sign that said no individual scoops available, just pre-packaged containers. Definitely no sign of any cheese tasting opportunity happening. We were seriously the only people there & we lingered to look at things for a bit, so there was opportunity to even just look at us. Maybe the food items you can get here are great, but we were just so unimpressed by our experience of being treated as if we were invisible.

Yelp
Good ice cream! The cheeses I've tried were fine but not great. Have not tried the sandwiches or coffees here. Usually staffed by high school age kids, so don't expect incredible service. The building is old but in mostly good repair. There is usually plenty of street parking, but they do have a few spaces in the back. You can see their large dairy tanks from the street. They have about a dozen flavors of ice cream. There's a pretty large display case of cheese with lots of variety.

Yelp
Cheese trail stop. Petaluma Creamery is an easy stop that offers a delightful array of cheeses, sandwiches, and ice cream that are sure to satisfy any culinary craving. The cheese selection is small but offers a variety of flavors, while the sandwiches are crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients that make each bite a delicious experience. The ice cream is a sweet treat that is perfectly creamy and indulgent. Service: Welcoming service and charming vibe.

Yelp
I've been here many times and can never ever get over the great "home-made, home-grown, hometown" feeling I get whenever I'm here. Granted, there's tons of great places to go just down the street (in Petaluma) but sometimes I just want an awesome tri-tip sandwich and to score some local cheese to bring home. I love the service here, setting, parking, food and lack of pretense. It's just great stuff from great folks in a great town. oh yeah, the great guy behind the counter was awesome. I loved my tri-tip so much I walked back from the car to get an extra tri tip and one chicken sandwich for dinner. I told him this and he packed all the components up separately so the sando wouldnt get soggy! Who does this? Petaluma Creamery does. Go for the cheese, ice cream, stay for sandwiches!

Yelp
Amazing local creamery. The dairy owner and his cousin manning the store are a delight. We were visiting and the duo waited for us to arrive after closing hours on new year's eve to pickup some last minute gifts. It is a rather unassuming store front, but inside, there are some very interesting aged cow and goat cheeses, lovely ice-creams. We learned that the cow herd is managed using some of the most sophisticated technologies making seriously good cheese. The cheeses and ice cream is delicious and very reasonably priced. A must visit if you are in the area.

Yelp
I wasn't the slightest bit pleased with the ice cream here. I got the Chai flavor that was ok, but I could barely taste the chai tea flavor. The issue wasn't the flavor though. It was more of the texture. Ice cream is supposed to be creamy. This was not creamy. I can't say I've ever had ice cream that tasted "chalky" before. This was a first! The ice cream was off the charts sub-par, the shop was a bit run down and in need of a paint job and fresh decor, and the service wasn't all that good. Definitely will drive right past this next time I'm in town and in the mood for ice cream. This did not hit the spot at all. The shop was unappealing, as was the ice cream....

Yelp
Their ice cream is amazing and their owner is a super sweet person. Best place ever. This is the best ice cream I've ever had in my life ! The Myers lemon!

Yelp
Closed an hour early. Walked up at 235pm and it was dark inside with a locked door. BOOOOOO

Yelp
Fun little place to pick up local cheese. Last time we had their ice cream and it was also very good. I really like their Garlic Jack. Strong and tasty! We bought their giant chocolate chip cookie for $2.50 and it was fine. Has a strong crisco oil flavor to it, so I wouldn't recommend that.

Yelp
What do you do on a hot 98 degrees day?! Head to the Petaluma Creamery for ice cream of course! We arrived shortly after noon and browsed their dry goods, drinks and the many cheese options they have. Headed over to the counter and there awaits many ice cream flavors. I got a scoop of strawberry and blueberry swirls. Yummy! It was so creamy and provided some relief from the heat outside. We sat inside by the window to enjoy our treats. I also ordered a BBQ brisket sandwich to go. They have deli and bbq sandwiches. You would pick up a slip and mark all the meats, bread and condiments you would want on there. It takes about 10+ mins for the sandwich to be done but we were enjoying our ice cream so we didn't mind. They also serve coffee and breakfast. We wanted to pick up some cheese to go but it was so hot, we didn't feel comfortable driving it around in the car. Maybe next time. Great service from the young guys working there. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
I really had a good experience here. One time early in the morning I saw a sign, for hot dogs? Wow, nice breakfast ( I'm weird) this nice soul named Jack made me a tasty dog $3!!! It was good, later I came back same day and a young gurl Kamryn made me a grilled pesto chicken sandwich. What a nice spot to find. Make sure to leave these peeps a tip!!

Yelp
We are just getting to know Petaluma Creamery but are here to report that their ice cream is a solid A+ . When you are looking for some good ice cream Petaluma has two really decent ice cream shops and this is one of them! The ice cream does not disappoint and the service is nice- slow and country paced at times. Feels very family business and owned and is a beautiful little location with benches to sit and a little garden. Our son goes to school nearby so we will be trying more out soon here!

Yelp
This store is from my deep, deep childhood. And all I know is that it has changed. When I was a kid, they sold pads of paper. I still have mine. Not anymore. You have to ask specially to get a tour now - I assume it was much easier then. At most the owner was there when I was last, everyone else is newer. Things change. But I had to find out about the Creamery. So I went in. I purchased cheese. I purchased ice cream. I must say, 4 scoops is a good price for large! The flavors were delicious - mocha or espresso for coffee, some sort of fruit swirl, it's starting to escape me days later but the ice cream was great. The cheese I brought back was good, but I've actually had better 3-year aged cheddar! And the service was fine but the whole thing feels more corporate and less homespun than it was all that time ago. So fine, it's still here, it's local, it's tasty. All the stars go to all of this - but it's just missing that 5th star hook it once had. Bring back the paper!

Yelp
Big outside, small inside. I was looking forward to more of a adventure, rather than just an ice cream store inside. Honestly, there's really not that much to do here, except just buy some ice cream or cheese. I ordered a double waffle cone, with chocolate and mint chip. Was really delicious, for about $4. I asked the clerk about tours of the creamery, and he said they discontinued those for health code violations. Not exactly sure what that means. So overall, just an okay experience. If you just want to buy some ice cream or cheese, I think you will be happy. If you're looking for more of an adventure or experience, I think you will be disappointed.

Yelp
Needed some cool down while driving from up north and found this little place. So we walk in and just get hit in the face with heat. Usually, you walk in to an ice cream joint and the ambient store temp is like a freezer. Not here. People were visibly complaining. I got me this coconut concoction that was ok, nothing to write home about. It was creamy and not overly sweet, but they didn't have any really original flavors that you couldn't get anywhere else. I probably still prefer Baskin but oh well. Last thing and this was just weird. They had a small display on top of the counter of different waffle cones. I thought it was just for display and I ordered one. The young lady helping me grabbed it from this display and used it for me. While paying, I saw an older gent literally touch the cones (ignoring a sign that says don't touch). Oh man. Do you know how many peeps don't wash their hands after going to the restroom? Move your display!

Yelp
Their sandwiches and ice cream alone are worth the drive and the wait! I'd never been before, but knew that this was a stop we had to make if we were going to be up in Petaluma. My only constructive criticism would be to hire more staff on weekends. Understandably, everyone is a bit short-staffed during the pandemic, but they only had one young(er, high school?) employee working the day we visited, and the whole process just took so. long. There were two other parties ahead of us that had also ordered sandwiches, and it took about 30-40 minutes before our order was completed. We had time to wait, but if we were just trying to grab and go, we would have been very disappointed. Ordering custom sandwiches is done through paper slips that you fill out and leave on the counter. They sanitize all of the pens after use and have a Clean and Dirty cup to separate the used/unused pens. As I mentioned, the sandwich and ice cream we ordered were great. The fact that we were still able to scarf down half a sandwich after a full breakfast (that already left us stuffed), is a testament to how delicious their sandwiches were. They were also made very generously with a hefty portion of meat, the other toppings were all fresh as well and we were given large amounts of everything we checked on our slip. For the ice cream, we ordered cookies and cream on a waffle cone. I thought the texture was a bit soft, but my bf LOVED it. He kept raving about how creamy it was and how he'd never had better ice cream. And I have to admit, it's hard for packaged ice cream to taste that creamy and fresh. I would definitely recommend a stop here if you're in Petaluma and looking for a snack or a light meal. Next time, I'm definitely picking up some cheese as well!

Yelp
Ice cream is my favorite dessert, and this place appeased my appetite for birthday dessert. I had Mocha Almond Fudge and Butter Pecan and it was delicious. We sat outside in front of the store under the sun in perfect weather indulging. Check it out, it sits in a small town cozy neighborhood surrounded with beautiful landscape and trees. A treasure to resident, I assume.

Yelp
I had been looking forward to trying this place and finally got a chance but I can't believe how sad my $3.50 ice cream cone was. The coconut ice cream was beyond delicious and that's why I gave it three stars but the customer service was not there and I have NEVER gotten such a baby scoop on a cone that's half broken. I was also hoping to pick up cheese but everything was pre packaged and not your typical fresh cheese shop. Decided we were better off buying at Lucky's for a better selection.

Adam P.

Yelp
Not the best ice cream for me but it was ok. Texture of the ice cream was not as smooth and buttery as I would have loved.
google avatar

Tamara F.

Yelp
Loved visiting this cute little cheese shop! It was my first time in the area and I think they had a good selection of pre-packaged cheese as well as other food items and ice cream you could order at the counter. I only tried their ice cream but it was tasty! The staff was nice and I also thought it was convenient that they offered some outdoor seating. Next time, I hope to take home some of their cheese!

Sasha N.

Yelp
Their cookie dough ice cream is so good! The milk is from local farms in Sonoma county. I can't wait to try their tri tip sandwich next. I got to sample their goat cheese, it was so good!
google avatar

Manuel M.

Yelp
I had the pulled pork and my son had a meatball sandwich. The service was excellent and so was the food. It was a warm morning so we split a large rocky road ice cream. Next time I'll try some of the cheese for sale. Outdoor seating and a bowl of cold water made it nice for our dog.

Yelp
check the box to experience part of the town's agricultural past. I just got the ice cream, which was a good deal and flavor compared to a pricier one downtown. Friendly service. Make sure you ask if it's one of the homemade flavors - one I asked about wasn't. So it's neat they make some of their own ice cream... there aren't any other claims (I don't think the ingredients are organic, including the milk), but for $4 for my cup (versus $7+ downtown), it was tasty.

Lisa J.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS SPOT!!! Teresa and Kamryn are WONDERFUL!! The cheese is fantastic and the ice cream is so yummy! Learned so much about cheese. Have been to the farm a number of times over the years for October festivities. Super fun. The picture below is 14 years ago. We dug potatoes.

Paul H.

Yelp
Absolutely the rudest counter people working there...an attitude that you're bothering them when you ask them a question...the owner needs to wake up and hire people who are customer friendly...got there at 4:05, door was open , no closed sign and was getting cheese items....got up to the counter only to be rudely told, "we're closed"!!!...we've been customers for years...think we'll be back...NOT!
google avatar

Ryan A.

Yelp
Cheese and ice cream in one location....um sign me up! I thoroughly love both and the fact I got to enjoy each other was delightful! I have heard about Petaluma Creamery for ages and have bought their cheese many times from local stores, but never had visited their actual location. Fast forward in time to the chance that I had to do so. Quite a large facility with a small store front, but that did not bother me at all and should in no way cloud your judgement. Once walking in you feel like you stepped back in time about 40 years, very hole in the wall"ish" and I mean that in a good way. I of course made a b-line to the ice cream counter to salivate over the flavors that they offered at an affordable price point. After my family member and I picked out our flavors, we sat down inside to enjoy cappuccino and toffee flavored ice cream at a affordable price point might I add. They may of not been the best ice cream we had, but darn they were good! I will say they gave us ample amount of ice cream versus many other ice cream shops who short you the delicious frozen treat! As for the cheese we browsed, sampled, and picked up a few blocks to take home. Well worth a visit if you have never been and in the area (Outskirts of Petaluma).

Yelp
Stopped by the Petaluma Creamery after volunteering with a nonprofit in Penngrove yesterday. It's a long store occupying just the first floor with plenty of seating. I've cream and other food items are sold here. Cheese is sold in a refrigerated section over on one end of the place. It looks promising since it's all sourced locally, but I didn't buy one because I don't think I could get through/use up a block of cheese that large! I got a large cup of ice cream ($5) with one scoop of Lavender and a second scoop of Cookies and Cream. The ice cream is thick and creamy, but not overly so. The cookies and cream tasted really well and had a good amount of chunky bits to chew on. The lavender had a very light taste to it. The employee behind the counter was very cordial and helpful when I asked for his opinion of which flavor tasted better. There was a an unusual and slightly offensive (to me) smell when I first entered the store, but I got used to it after a while. I wasn't able to discern where it was coming from. All in all, the ice cream is very refreshing here. It's got a unique flavor that differs from other "big-name" brands like Ben and Jerry's. I'd come back here if I were in the area to try out the other flavors!

Jayden M.

Yelp
Amazing Coffee, amazing cheese, amazing customer service from the two girls (Ava and Roxie) and even better Sandwiches Thank you so much.

Yelp
We are from the Sacramento region, and for years the Creamery came to our local farmer's market. Covid changed that, so we planned a day trip to the seed bank and creamery. While looking up their address, I learned they now have subscription cheeseboxes! And I can change my cheese variety each month! I immediately set that up, and still got more in-person. The ice cream is lovely, and the samples were generous. Theresa talked and visited with us; she even took a group photo. I love this creamery and am so grateful to regularly have their cheese in my home again. The raw white cheddar is still my favorite, and garlic pesto is my husband's favorite.
google avatar

Jaylena P.

Yelp
Petaluma Creamery you have doomed me! I am forever ruined. Never will I be able to enjoy store brand ice cream again. Ever! The store is small. It offers cheese, ice cream and long churned butter from their in house cream. There is a deli as well that offers a full selection of pastries, salads and sandwiches. I haven't tried any of the deli items but the ice cream is definitely a must! All dairy ingredients are made from local jersey cows, known to have a lower milk content but more protein and butterfat than the popular Holstein cow. All are grass fed without growth hormones. * Strawberry * Vanilla Bean * Coffee * Cookies & Cream * Raspberry rounds out my top 5 Get a cone, grab a pint or whatever your heart desires. Tables and chairs line the front of the shop while plenty of street parking makes a stop very convenient.

Yelp
A small shop selling dairy products and ice cream. The two young guys working here were nice and offered us an assortment of cheese after we asked some questions about the different cheese. I highly recommend the unsalted butter $5, asiago cheese $8 and the Meyer lemon ice cream.

Yelp
I just happened to be in the area on weekday when I visited the Petaluma Historical Library and Museum for about 2 hours with special exhibit of Clo the Cow. Moo! It was a warm 75 degree weather and I Yelped for a nearby ice cream place and I found this place. Parking was relative easy, just parked 2 blocks away in quiet neighborhood. It's a big yellow building with seating outside. Inside I didn't expect it to look like a convenience store which didn't bother me. My goal was to get ice cream, but what flavor? I couldn't decide. One of he guys behind counter asked if I wanted to sample anything. I said sure. I liked the interesting Meyer Lemon with mini chunks of real lemon peel inside ice cream. So I order that in a $5 cup and sat at table by the window. I just enjoyed my ice cream to cook off after a warm day. Ice cream flavors are unique and I believe it is made local in Petaluma. There wasn't a strong sour flavor of the Meyer Lemon. It was light lemon flavor more on sweet mild side. There was also blueberry and lavender flavors I noticed too that caught my eye. I noticed a cheese refrigerator behind me and a samples of 2 cheeses on display. One was spicy and the other white cheddar was rather tasty and so I ended up buying it. After reading reviews I guess they make sandwiches here too. After I came in, more people came in for ice cream too. A family came in to get ice cream and ate outside. If you are passing through town, be sure to stop by to support local mom and pop places! :-)

Yelp
if you're in old town Petaluma, it's almost a requirement to check out this historic creamery, or at least the store that represents it. All in all they have some good options as far as milk-based goods are concerned, although I would definitely lean toward getting ice cream here as I wasn't as impressed with the cheese. We came in thinking we'd just grab some cheese for a trip we were taking. There were some samples of a couple versions available. I'm not going to say the cheese is bad, certainly not, but it didn't impress me more than anything I've bought at a grocery store and the selection was mostly your basics: cheddar, pepper jack, a different version of a pepper jack. What we really enjoyed, however, was the ice cream. My son loved his cone and the teens running the counter were nice and friendly to us - especially him. It was a hot day, too, so sitting inside and escaping the heat with a cone in our hand proved a great discovery. The whole experience adds up to a fun family visit. If you are someone with kids in tow and looking to escape the heat or give them a treat, the Creamery is a solid option.

Yelp
Stopped by here on the way back from Bodega Bay to SF because we were craving ice cream! Some of their popular flavors were out (sadly), but I was able to get some lavender ice cream and a toffee crunch. The lavender ice cream was delicious - not overly sweet and overpowering, but strong enough to taste the lavender. Bold statement - but think it's better than Salt & Straw's honey lavender ice cream... Paired it with the toffee crunch to get a bit of texture, and that was a good idea! We also got a grilled cheese. Was good but wouldn't say it was lifechanging.
google avatar

Andrea G.

Yelp
We came here to try the ice cream since it was so hot out. And I just loved the layout. If you want to relax in the sun, you can sit in the rocking chairs outside. Or if you want to enjoy your meal indoors, they also have tables and chairs inside. They had so many different flavors of ice cream. Some of my favorites were the peach, the blueberry, and the lavender. And even with the small cups, the scoops were so huge, we almost couldn't finish the ice cream. Almost. The ice cream is so creamy and flavorful. It's definitely worth a try! Plus, they have a huge selection of cheese for you to buy. I wished that there were more cheese samples for us to try so that we could determine what to buy, but if you have a favorite type, you'll definitely find it here.

Yelp
Fantastic sandwhiches!!! I got a loaded hot pastrami sandwhich with black truffle chips!! My bf got one too and loved it! The young man who works there makes great sandwhiches. Tip him well folks, we will be back.
google avatar

Liena H.

Yelp
I was surprised by the quality and competitive pricing of this ice cream shop. I ordered one scoop of lavender and cherry chips and it was only $3!!?? You do not get that price in the bay. This shop also has lots of different flavor options. The staff recommended Lavender and cherry chips and I love both flavors. Lavender was so refreshing and does not taste artificial at all! They actually put some real lavender in the ice cream too. Petaluma is a small town but they definitely have lots of good food/dessert that I didn't expect it.

Gussiesmaximus B.

Yelp
New cashier was pleasant and had great customer service. Give him a raise :-) Easy checkout, cheese selection was limited. Yummy local cheese.
google avatar

Jenn N.

Yelp
They have little plates of cheese samples set out with toothpicks. I walked out with a hunk of pesto Jack and cheddar. Extra points for the locally made butter, it is so good! It's nice that they stock crackers, just in case you need a vessel for your fromage. My friend can't eat cheese or ice cream, she was so excited to find out that they serve fancy coffees too. It's a fun little stop, if you find yourself in Petaluma.
google avatar

Kathryn P.

Yelp
This throw-back to earlier, quieter times is always such a pleasant experience--from the easy parking to the sweet old sunny building to the nice kids behind the counter...but the ice cream is just wonderful. The absolute creamiest and most delicious anywhere, and with humane prices. I spoke to the owner who described all the steps they take to make sure their ice cream is such high quality (it comes down to fat of course). I love this place and I hope it lasts forever.
google avatar

Lindsey C.

Yelp
Tried the ice cream as recommended by a coworker and it was disappointing. Flavor was ok but there were so many ice crystals! The day we went there were only 3 Spring Hill cheeses to sample: Garlic Jack (too garlicky for my taste, Mike's Firehouse Jack (my favorite), and 2 Year Aged White Cheddar (not overpowering as some older white cheddars can be). Maybe it would've been better if we scheduled a tour appointment, but other than that I'd skip this cheese maker stop.

Yelp
Come for the cheese, leave with the ice cream. On a recent trip to the Grand Lake Market, I saw the map-flyer for the Sonoma Cheese Tour. I like cheese, so with staying in the Bay Area for the holidays, figured I would spend one day doing the tour. That didn't happen, but I at least got to hit up my first, and only, stop. Now they don't do tours of the Petaluma Creamery anymore, but you can still go into the store, sample some cheeses and other products. When I was there, they had two sets to sample: the smoked set and the cheddar set. The Smoked Set had Smoked Monterrey Jack, Smoked Yellow Cheddar, and Mike's Smoked Firehouse Jack and yes you feel the heat on that one. The Cheddar Set had 2-Year Aged White Cheddar, Yellow Cheddar, and Sage Cheddar and yes you get a big hit of sage on that one. But what really got my attention was the ice cream. This is a creamery, they have to have some great ice cream, and they do. I got a pint of the toffee crunch to go and I have been thinking about it since. I would head up again just for this, but the cheese helps too. Didn't get to do a full cheese tour, but glad I stopped here!

Yelp
This is only for the ice cream; it is THE BEST ice cream in town. My partner and I are not huge ice cream enthusiasts these days because it's so difficult to find creamy ice cream that isn't loaded with corn syrup or lacking of flavor in an attempt to be healthier. We only buy our ice cream here now. They sell it by the scoop or by the pint & gallon. (They do let you sample flavors btw.) When we went they had chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, pistachio, rocky road, cookies and cream, and other flavors.

Yelp
Completely worth the drive from the Peninsula! Yummy Grilled Cheese, in addition to the amazing ice creams.

Yelp
Some of the most creamy, delectable ice cream that you could ever have. I got the chocolate and was not disappointed on any level. The chocolate was good. I wish they were giving out samples, i could have tried a bunch of stuff after reading some of the other comments. I took home some of the organic cheese, it was a bit sharp for my taste but, others loved it. Next time i will go with the Non-Org.

Yelp
We yelped a bunch of cheese places and stumbled upon Petaluma creamery because of the plethora of reviews raving about the ice cream. It did not disappoint. The shop itself has a cheese section (with samples). Eat away! We ended up buying the spring hill aged white cheddar. It is aged well, buttery, and has a good medium sharpness. The ice cream was very creamy, so if you are looking for something light, please do yourself a favor and look away! It is creamy, thick, and delicious. It isn't too sweet. The lemon ice cream and the pistachio were both great.
