The staff was so kind. Everyone seemed really genuinely happy. The resort is super clean and nice with basically private beaches. The restaurants are great as well. Every night the staff gives little treats with notes to the residents. It really makes us feel welcome. I highly recommend staying here and I definitely think it’s a top 5 resort.

After spending 12 days in the BVI we only dined at ONE restuarant twice, and that was the Drunken Pelican, despite it being in a temporary place because of renovations. The staff are excellent and friendly (not fake friendly) and the food is crafted and presented with care and precision. I couldn't find anything in either visit to complain about, and I was even barefoot for our first visit! We moored on the dock our last night and the fee gave us use of the pool, which was really nice! The dock staff are excellent, more than helpful when I was trying to moor gently in high, gusty winds, thanks Craig!

Impersonal staff at the restaurants, bar and swimming pool area. Third time we’ve been at the marina this year. Thought it would get better as time went by after the big comeback, but I think it is a managers and company protocols issue. As a guest I like to be treated as such, not as an employee with orientations of the rules on every visit and poor service attitude from the restaurant and bar staff (you have to look for them to do you the favor of taking your order). It is a shame as the place has potential, but I guess I won’t find out. Hector Villarrubia, MD

This fabulous rebuilt resort opened in December 2024. A lot of bare boat people don’t know it’s available. There were available mooring balls when we were here in March 2025 and the restaurant welcomed us. The food is limited to small plates, which were good. The pizzas were not good, but the atmosphere was fantastic. I recommend the restaurant expand their menu to full plate items and get rid of the low quality pizzas. As of now, this is a relatively undiscovered gem in the area. Dress up for dinner. Don’t be a slob.

We stopped at The Drunken Pelican for my husband's birthday brunch and received the warmest welcome. The service, led by manager Junia, was the best we received anywhere in the BVIs. Junia and her team went out of their way to make our large group of 19 people feel welcome and special. Given we were such a large group, our experiences at other places were disorganized, slow, etc but not here - they were on top of everything, kept drinks and food coming at all times and even added in thoughtful touches like a birthday gift, Happy Birthday played by the DJ, a dance party and more. While we did not have time to experience the rest of the property, the renovation is truly gorgeous and I look forward to coming back and staying at Peter Island. Thank you, Junia and the entire Peter Island team for a wonderful experience!

How should I begin. I have a 143 motor yacht and I have a 46 Power Cat. I have been coming here for roughly 13 years. What a joke these days. They did spend plenty of money rebuilding after 2017 but that said either the owner is not smart or at least does not know how to run a business. They have an ego although no one is even here and won’t let us make a reservation at the “fancy restaurant” which had open reservations because I was wearing fancy sandals. I was willing to spend $1000+ in the shop to please them but didn’t have every item needed for me to go to dinner. I leave very few reviews but when it matters I feel the world should know, PETER ISLAND IS NOT what it once was. Good luck to everyone and safe travels!

We are currently moored on the new mooring balls in Deadman’s Bay. Had lunch at the drunken pelican and walked the grounds and enjoyed the spectacular beach. Lunch was good, prices about regular and service by Jay was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Still experiencing some growing pains but well on the way to being great again. I wished we were able to use the pool after our lunch ( no one else there) but we had to buy a day pass. Some resorts allow restaurant or mooring customers to use the pools.

Fantastic staff and service. We stayed on a mooring ball in Deadman’s Cove and bought day passes to resort to use the amenities. Drunken Pelican restaurant was great! Everything is new!
