Let's prefacice this review with a statement, this is gourmet pizza...It's not a heavier, more filling New York, Chicago, or fast food pizza. What it is though is a very good, fresh tastier pizza. It is a little pricey for the weight but if your looking for a lighter meal with a different taste you'll love it. Only 4 stars for the price and size. A little bigger pizza for that price would be more appropriate. But it was very good. Probably only really good when eaten fresh, delivery may not be a good option as the cheese is real and the crust thin, it won't stay warm for long I would imagine and real cheese tends to get dry when cooled. I would also ask for extra sauce next time, mine was a little light.

It's my first time in this place, but my experience was terrible, probably because today's Friday 13th. Look the pics.

I do not know why so many people are saying that this is good pizza with terrible service. The service was fine, but the pizza was flavorless. I ordered a "spicy" pizza, which really meant that it had some flavor when you took a bite with a pepper, otherwise the pizza was completely bland. Save your money and order some Pizza Hut or Domino's or go to Target next door and buy one of those pre-made pizzas because this place is garbage. However, the crust is good, so if you like good crust with bland toppings, this place is perfect for you.

When they say, "The best pizza in DC" they couldn't be more correct. I had the small pizza with sweet sausage and pineapple. For $7.00 it was well worth it and I was pleasantly stuffed after eating it. It took about 15 minutes after ordering before they brought it out. I was very satisfied.

Pizza was hot, fresh, and made quickly. The flavor of the meats were very good with the only complaint being that the "hot" sausage was far from hot and spicy. Great variety and would like to try some other less traditional flavors when I'm in town again. Friendly and efficient staff; will eat there again.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the best pizza in town. Yeah, I know there are lots of little artisan places around with their cracker crusts and whatnot but Pete's is for the person who wants great flavor and also wants to fill up on pizza. New Haven style pizza is truly great and Pete's does it well. I love the Staven!

I practically live above this place and the pizzas are phenomenal. I like that they have non-dairy cheese, but think the prices run a bit high, to include the upcharge for non-dairy cheese. The Colosseum is my go-to, but I've experimented across the menu and had a good time over the years. Staff have been largely pleasant for an industry known for high turnover, and the fancy-pants fountain sodas are a nice touch when dining in (try the root beer!). The food puts it at 5 stars in my opinion, but the pricing is a dent in my review.

Great Pizza! The convenient location just outside the Columbia Heights Metro Station makes this a great spot to hit up before or after a Dayton the town. Whether you want slice or a whole, you won't be disappointed l.
