The grilled chicken sandwich was delicious. Very good French fries! The server was extremely kind and friendly. Would come back to try more things on their huge menu!!

It was our first time here and We loved it! Everything was fresh and made With love and intention, and it reflects in the taste of the food, the quality and the presentation! Maria was our waitress and she was amazing and helping answer questions about the menu and also narrowing down what to pick because let me tell you the variety is absolutely incredible. There’s something on this menu for everyone. Thank you again, Maria and thank you to Petes place. We are so grateful to have found you tonight we will be back. We found a hidden gem.!

Excellent service from the bartender Hailee. She recommended the Italian Grinder sandwich and I upgraded to the sweet potato fries. Did not disappoint! Their huge tap beer selection had one of my regional favorites! I will be returning.

If you’re in Taylor and craving good food, Pete’s Place is an absolute must! I ordered the BBQ wings and they were nothing short of perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. 1st time there; traveling through. Stacey, our server was excellent. Food was tasty and good. Portions were enough to eat. Wife's baked potato soup was barely warm. Floors seemed "sticky" when walking. Music was a bit loud. Overall, a very good place to eat.

This place is busy, so if you want a fast turn around, be aware that wont be likely. It's very relaxed here and the mood is welcoming. The food is very flavorful and the portions are generous. I've had the chili, which is smoky and perfect. The next time I tried the Mac n cheese, which became an immediate favorite in our house.

The food was great. Big portions. Time from seating to ordering was a little long and we had to find our waitress to pay for check because we sat there for 10 minutes. It was not busy. I would highly recommend this place for great food. Hopefully it was just a fluke that our service was not so attentive. That being said, the waitress was extremely nice.

The parking lot was full when we arrived around 8pm but seating was still open. I had the baked mac n cheese which also came with a delicious bowl of potato soup and a salad with ranch dressing. My husband ordered the fish and chips. That also came with his choice of bean and ham soup and he choose coleslaw over salad. My soup was delicious, I wish I would have taken a picture before I started eating. It is served with cheese, sour cream, bacon and chives on top. Very good. The salad was crisp, the veggies were good and it was a great ranch dressing. The macaroni and cheese is the best I have ever had out to eat and I order it everytime. Very cheesy with thick bites of bacon throughout. My husband's fish was hot, crisp and delicious, same with the fries. He liked the coleslaw a lot as well, but said it was served in a warm bowl? Nice bar area with a good bar menu. Would definitely recommend!

There was 10 of us and everyone loved their food. The best fried mushroomsvi ever had. Customer service was good too. I have to go back this week for those craveable mushrooms and a drink.

Stoped here for a late breakfast, the food is delicious. I had eggs and home fries, my food buddy had a waffle and a bean and ham soup. We were able to sit at a booth, but there are tables and a semi outdoor option. The waitress Samantha was super nice and checked in on us often.

Let's start off by saying wow they're loaded potato soup is amazing along with their fried pickles. They have happy hour Monday through Friday 4 to 6 1/2 off appetizers. Service was wonderful. She went above and beyond as for the atmosphere it's a bar style, but can also be extremely busy but it's 100% worth it.

Pete's Place has that cozy, pub-style charm with a family-friendly feel. My bestie and I popped in for a casual lunch date and were pleasantly surprised by how great the food and drinks were. Who knew margaritas and chicken Greek salad made such a perfect duo? Everything on the salad was fresh and crisp and that pink Greek dressing just hits differently. It's what we needed and the margaritas? So good. I'm a big fan of Grand Marnier and Cointreau in my perfect margaritas. Laid-back vibe, tasty food, and perfect margaritas I'm sure we will add it to our spots to go regularly.

Had dinner at Pete's Place and husband and I got seated immediately. Our waitress was very cheerful and she took our drink order and delivered them and said she would give us some time to look at the menu. We waited 15 min for her to return and take our meal order, at least they have several TV's on the walls to check out. Large place which was clean. After waiting 20 min our meal arrived and it was hot off the grill. I ordered the smash burger and got fries, it was very good and fries were tasty and hot. Husband ordered a Reuben and his came with pub chips, he enjoyed his meal. Our waitress checked back on us and refilled our water. When we were finished we got our check in a timely fashion and left. Most sandwiches were 13.00 and come with pub chips, fries extra. Large menu with lots of choices. Debbie

Completely awful! Not sure it changed ownership or not but how can soup taste like dishwater. Sat at the bar, and it seemed like the bartender only cared about her regulars. I also understand the concept about the convenience charge, but it's illegal to do so on a debit card, it's only for credit cards per Michigan law!

Always great service and I haven't had anything from the menu that I didn't like and I've had many different things there top notch restaurant with a bar included

We tried this place on a Friday night around 6 pm. The parking lot was packed and we got the last spot. We did get seated right away at a nice high top table near the window. Our server was great! Her name is Chris (sp?) she was very helpful and friendly since this was our first time here. I was disappointed that there was no Blue Moon on tap. I had to have a bottle which I don't love. I had the potato soup and it was tasteless. It did come out hot though. The chicken club was bland. My husband also said his gyro was bland. I think that was the theme here. Bland. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. Maybe I would try this place again if I am in the area. The place is nice. Very spacious with some televisions on the walls to watch games. Very comfortable place. Maybe just need to season the food.

I had a blast at Pete's. Thank you to Christina. Beer and staff were awesome. It was incredibly busy and they still took good care of me.

It has been a long time since my last visit. I remembered that they have great mushroom soup on Wednesdays and a great Albacore tuna melt. I got both and they did not disappoint. The soup was served piping hot as soup should be served and the tuna melt was seasoned very well, tasted great, and served with very good homemade chips. I would not change a thing. It was very busy and service was a little slow but that was to be expected at the time of my visit. Delicious lunch.

You know been going here a long time and never an issue. Until today they forgot one dinner a smashed burger which is a staple of there's and that's fine mistakes happen but when I receive a " smashed burger" it is soaked with dressing and looks as if the patties were thrown on there. The waitress apologized to me after making two trips and the picture will explain how disappointed I am with what I received.

Do not order online. I ordered dinner for me and my wife online. Said it would be 25 minutes. My wife went to go pick it up and they couldn't find it even though they charged my card. Took them an hour from when I ordered to give it to my wife only to have her lasagna burnt and my chicken tenders cold and my fries soggy and cold as well. I asked for no tomatoes or onions on my salad and my wife had to have them remake that before she left because it was on the salad. My wife said she overheard a cook say the lasagna was burnt and needed to remake it but they still gave her a burnt piece. Unreal. This is a place that we usually go into to eat but online orders are a joke and your food will be cold and nasty.

I have mixed feelings on this restaurant but I would try them again since it was my first time there. The menu looked great the food looked fantastic. I order fried green beans, beer fried mushrooms, crab cakes and a vegetarian grinder to take home. The grinder was a vegetarian's dream because every pepper and onion were cut big and not minced pieces a little seasoning would have made it perfect the bread was soft but not soggy. The fried mushrooms were good as well as the green beans. The crab cakes were the most disappointing because it just crumbled into small pieces as I tried to eat it. Now with all my food I got one drink. My waitress forgot to bring me napkins, she never asked if I wanted a refill and then when bringing me my vegetarian grinder to go she tells me she forgot my salad that I wanted instead of the potato chips they serve with it. I rate the food a B-/ and the waitress a C-. I left her a $10 tip and would love to have left more had she done a better job. But it was just one experience that's why I would go back again.

If you're looking for comfort food. This is the place. The bean and ham soup is a must have. The only reason I am taking away a star is because some of the staff have always gave myself and crew a nasty look as if we do not belong there being African American. We always show up deep to eat good food because it's close to our office.

Food was tasty and served fast. Next time I want to try the chili I heard it's pretty good. Great down to earth atmosphere. Wait staff very helpful and attentive.

Got here on Mother's Day for lunch. Walked in and got seated right away. Did they come to take our drink water or see if we wanted to get appetizers? No. They came 15 minutes later asking if we wanted something else to drink at that point we already figured out what we wanted to have for lunch. The place was half busy, but it took more than 40 minutes for the food to come out. When they brought out the food, one of the orders was missing side of vegetables that came with a meal. When they said it's coming right out, it took eight minutes to get to the table at which point when they came out they were still steaming hot therefore they completely forgot to make those veggies, threw them in the microwave and brought them out to the table. We have a group of five people for the Mother's Day, trying to enjoy a meal with the mother and the grandmother only to sit around waits on absolutely horrendous service. The waitress came to the table the total off two times not including when she was bringing the food. The food was decent, but definitely not worth the wait. What was supposed to be a quick lunch turn into 2 1/2 hour ordeal. Food was decent but service and wait was not acceptable.

Our lunch started our strong. After looking over a 10 page menu we both decided on soup and a sandwich. We both gave the soup 4/5. Hubby had a Greek side salad and that was good too. Our soggy sandwiches were another matter. He had a smoked Turkey sandwich on a good crusty roll and I had a Dinty Moore with fries. Both were 80% cole slaw with a small bit of meat. My sandwich was so soggy it was dripping and I ended up just eating the meat. The fries and chips were just OK. The service started out OK but after our sandwiches were put down our waitress was nowhere to be seen until we got our check. No drink refills. If we'd stuck with soup and salad we would have enjoyed the meal. As it was we were disappointed.

I think they got really creative with having a soup flight. I do wish they were a little bit bigger but for $10 you cannot beat it. We also ordered some steaks and baked potatoes. Those were decent, also cannot complain for the price our server was super friendly And super fast with everything for it being a Saturday night.

Stopped by for the first time and ordered the soup/salad/sandwich lunch combo and the kids soup/sandwich combo. First off the salad came out with croutons on it that was made from random bread leftovers I'm assuming which is normal for most restaurants but they also recycled French toast and it made me want to throw up on my salad with ranch dressing, my knife and fork had food still on them, the plate under my soup looked as if it had not even been washed. The table we were sitting at had something spilled under the table and every time I tried to stand I slipped. It was a horrible experience and to make it worse when I brought it up to the staff she said "ehh" and when on ringing out my check and said have a good day..... WHAT??? I really try to give a place more than one try but I don't believe I will be back here this was the worst!

Servers was exceptional. Phil had bean and ham soup, delicious. Along either the albacore tuna sandwich. He said it was very good. Woulad order again which is high praise coming from a guy says 'ok' for everything. I had pierogies. Deep fried with caramelized onions and sour cream. Never had them deep fried but found them to be really tasty. When in the vicinity will stop again. Noisy place but not awful.

Went in for breakfast, waited over 20 min for a breakfast special and a western omelette, which I specified American cheese. When the food finally came out, we got 1 piece of toast, that was soggy, I checked inside my omelette, nothing but ham, some green peppers in a pool of grease and no cheese or onions. I was offered a side of onions and cheese. She did offer to have it remade but after waiting over 20 min, I said no. They were not even busy,

On the rare occasion I am downriver, I have to eat at Pete's. My fiancé introduced me to this place and it's definitely worth stopping in for a bite. They seem to be known for their loaded baked potatoe soup, which is hearty and comforting. The Chili really grabbed me most recently. Not too thick, full of flavor and filling. They offer two types of fries, curly and regular. The curly fries remind me of an Arby's fry and the regular fries remind me of a Rallys fry. Both are addicting. The service is good and the servers are friendly and inviting. A perfect spot for lunch!

Happy hour half price appetizers are worth going for. Excellent draft beer selection. Daily drink specials are also very reasonable.

We stopped here with some friends a night before flying out of DTW. The owner was there & greeted us and sat us very quickly. Place is clean, staff is friendly and food was great! Everyone's meals were delicious and fresh. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Only go if you want to pay high cost for a gyro and fries 2 =$45 That's absurd . Why? Food not that good. The manager Cindy is horrible and not helpful. The menu is unclear. If you upgrade from the chips to fries That is the total charge of a order of fries. I will not be back and spreading the word

Pete's seems to be the popular spot for the after work crowd, as well as weekend diners. Took a couple of my adult kids there for breakfast one day before hopping on a flight, and they had scrambles in small cast iron pans. They were absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to giving it another try.

I've always enjoyed eating at Pete's restaurant. The serving size is amazing. The food, VERY good, and so are the drinks. The ambiance is inviting and spacious, the service, well, I was a little disappointed today. Me and my daughter had lunch, our main waitress was nice buy I've been served by better. After our meal, I left out and forgot my carry out unfortunately. Soon as I realized it 2 minutes later I called my daughter who had just pulled out of parking lot and asked her if she would turn around and grab it only for it to be thrown away. I understand that food can't be held for any unreasonable time just because someone left there food, but when I tell you it wasn't 5 minutes that's being generous. I'm upset because I sincerely feel like they should have at least given it 15 whole minutes. Please with what little I did eat but disappointed I won't know how the rest is.

And the Food keeps coming! Visited Pete's Place for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Half priced apps during happy hour along with daily drink specials. Ordered a Margarita and cheese sticks as starters. Margarita were good (not top shelf, but better ok for an happy hour) and the cheese sticks were as expected. Our server (Stacey - who was awesome) took our orders and the dinners offer soup AND salad along with entree and side. I couldn't believe the amount of food you get. No way could we eat everything. A little undercooked on the steak and it was sent back but came back perfect. I'm not going to ding them for that as the amount of food made up for a small miscue. Food was great, generous portions, awesome service and a good value. If you're hungry, stop in at Pete's!

First I came here a few times and liked everything I ate. I loved their pierogi's very good but never thought about asking if they are cooked with seafood. I am allergic to seafood and had a reaction. Why are we all worried about peanut allergies but not seafood. Who wants food to taste like fish. I asked about other foods and it's the same answer. I had to stick with soup because I'm tired of salad but seriously can't believe how you mix foods together. Why can't they fry it for me, why can't you have separate oil for fish or seafood. Can't come here hungry that's for sure since I can't have half the menu.

Great service and delicious food for our big group of hungry soccer players! I had the Polish platter and it was delicious with soo much food. My picky son ate his entire meal

Upon our arrival at the restaurant staff kept walking past us telling us the hostess would seat us soon. We waited nearly 10 minutes when finally one of the same employees took us to a table. The floor around our table was sticky and there was dirty napkins and black serving gloves on the floor (see picture). We waited nearly 5 more minutes before our waitress to get our drink order, then told us she would be back. Roughly 5 minutes passed, the waitress she came back to take our drinks (a water & a beer), told us she would had wait on another table and would be back to take ourdinner order. At this point I looked at my hubby & suggested we cut our losses & go, but he wanted to stay, since we waited this long already... It was about 10 more minutes later that she came back to take our food order. I was frustrated -- our food came out in segments (side items & sauces missing from the plates) I ordered a sandwich plus an order of onion rings to share & I never rec'd the chips that comes with my sandwich since I ordered (& paid the full amount for) the onion rings. Food was good, but service was not!

I gave this place 4 chances... I went in and the food was great.. pancakes perfect, omelet god everyone was happy.. idk what's happened since then but I've been back 3 times hoping I just cause a bad day but I've realized I have not I got a omelet again and it was deconstructed as well as big huge thick pancakes that taste like dough, I won't be back, I thought we found a diamond in the rough but I've been high disappointed every visit after the first.. the Mac and cheese is pretty tasty but that's all..

I had lunch here with my Dad and it was really good I got the chicken finger wrap, my dad got the chicken Parmesan, and the little girl I had with me got the grilled cheese and fries. It was really good and the waitress was very nice, I don't recall her name. The chicken was done perfectly. And I got a cup of the loaded potato soup which was really good. The wrap I had came with either honey mustard or ranch dressing which I chose honey mustard. The honey mustard was good even though it was a little runny. It went so well with the wrap. I will definitely be back again to try out other dishes.

We just went here and really enjoyed our time there. Love that the meals come with soup & salad, plus a potato! We were able to share the meal! Shelby took great care of all of us- highly recommend.

Visited this place while in town for a volleyball tournament. Service was lack luster and the wait time was nothing like we were told over the phone. However the food was good and the service we received after getting our food was great.

We went to celebrate a birthday. 4-6pm half off appetizers is truly a great deal. Everything we ordered was tasty. - beer battered mushrooms - chicken strips - crab cakes - Buffalo tenders The peirogie I could live without. Not sure if they are understaffed but service was pretty slow.

We were headed to Ohio for a day trip and stopped here for brunch. Brunch is my favorite so anytime he wants to make me happy he takes me to brunch. We originally tried to go to the Brownstown location but it appeared to be permanently closed. This was only four miles away so it worked out fine. We sat at the bar and he looked over the beer menu while I ordered mimosas. They had a huge assortment of beers. Very impressive. He chose "The Big Red Cock" mostly because he wanted to say it. Hahah. But I ended up having one as well and it really was good. We split the french toast and it was the perfect amount. The waitress was fantastic. They didn't have a bartender on duty in the mornings so she had to do her best but her best was fabulous! I definitely recommend this place. We aren't in Taylor often but if we are we would most definitely come back!!

The SO and I stopped by here because we had stayed near the Detroit Metro airport the night before. He's familiar with the downriver area and this place mentioned weekday brunch online. I love a breakfast meal that comes with a little of everything and I was pleased to find an option, the Sunrise, that got me Dearborn ham, bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes and toast! I was feeling a cocktail, so I ordered a mimosa as well, which came in the cutest way ever. It's own baby champagne bottle, glass and mini caraf. The best part! I loved the cute presentation. I'd definitely pop in here again for their extensive craft beer selection for a lunch or dinner. :)

The food was ok, our service was the worst! I have no desire to go back, although I noticed other people were getting good service, so we just had to ask another waitress when we needed something.

Hate to do it to you Pete's, but I'm not a fan. I have been here a few times and the food isn't bad it just isn't good to me. Last visit I had the Belgian Waffle, Home Fries and Scrambled Eggs w/ Cheese and it was just ok. If you are looking for something quick and inexpensive check it out.

We used to really love this place, but it seems different lately. It's sad because me and my family have been going here sense we were teens. It takes a very long time to eat here. From waiting to be served to waiting for food, even on a Sunday night when there was hardly anyone else eating in there with us. Also, be careful in the bathrooms. My sister used the restroom and while bending over the counter to wash her hands, the bathroom counter stained her shirt. We are assuming a bleach cleaner was used- which is fine but why leave it wet on the counter to get on customers clothes and stain them? Worst part is the shirt was from a trip to Tennessee so no chance in replacing that anytime soon.

Waited 20 minutes for service after being sat at a table and received none! Wife went back up front and asked if some could at least take drink order .. 20 minutes later nothing . We went to Baldos.. will not go back to Petes.

I use to go to Pete's place all the time, but here lately the food has been awful and the staff unfriendly and the lady manager who works in the morning is a terrible manager and racist and just plain nasty and unprofessional and uncaring about what the customers have to say! I was there January 30-2023 I really wish the owner of Pete's place would read the reviews because he is losing money and customers! Bad business and bad service along with bad food is unexcusable!!

Service absolutely horrible my last visit several years ago didn't bring my beer till after meal. Yes I sent it back and never been back. Review from 4 years ago Yelp deleted. Greatest Family Eating Spot Downriver For over 25 years they been plating up the very best soups, salads and breakfast along with super international dishes loaded with love. The meals all come with both soup and salad wow for under $10 your taste buds will explode. The award winning loaded potato soup is a must with each visit. We love the appetizer combo that has those jumbo baked tater skins, deep fried sh-rooms,onion rings and tater pirogi's with sauteed onions. The service has always been outstanding with a special shout out to Hanna who's always on top of her game. The place is expanding and now has beer and wine. This fall they'll have many Michigan craft beers on tap in there newly expanded restaurant. I tell you this place is a must visit and will soon be a regular stop on my thirsty beer days too. Food was just ok. I want to give the servers a good mark as we are so easy to please, and the servers there were just not around,not caring, not friendly. I was very disappointed! Deco is good, but I won't come back. Unless you have a lot of time to kill and wait 30 minutes for drinks and waitress never came back ever! I only gave 3 stars because the food was ok.

It's a nice lil spot to enjoy yourself. It's tight, because it's always crowded. But what I've ordered was pretty good. I ordered the broasted chicken (1/2 a chicken) both times I've been. So it was cool.

I'm in town to get away for a while and visit my good friends. They mentioned Pete's for dinner, and I've been there before and enjoyed each time. Today was different though. I ordered the chicken and waffles with sriracha/maple syrup. The waffle was good, the syrup wasn't bad, but if you're going to serve chicken and waffles, please serve it with a fried piece of thigh, leg, breast. A good piece of chicken and not tenders! The chicken tenders ruined this meal for sure.

Pretty good place. I went here last night with my boyfriend for a late dinner - they're open till midnight. I got the mushroom and Swiss burger, and he got the Mediterranean burger, which came with feta, red pepper, and lettuce, and he ordered a side of curly fries. We also split the $3 (!!!) beer sampler, which came with 4 small sampler glasses of beer. The $3 is an especially good deal because they have craft beer on tap. Food was good and so was the waitservice. I didn't see anything about their homemade chips though, the sandwiches don't come with a side unless you add one.
