The Best Burgers in New York City

"Founded 16 years ago in Astoria, with a newer branch in Dutch Kills, Petey’s was in the vanguard of the local burger revival. Its burgers explode with flavor, though they are neither too thin nor too thick, topped with lettuce and tomato freshness, plain American cheese, and raw onions a bit stronger than most. This is a paradigm of the American hamburger with no frills." - Robert Sietsema, Eater Staff

The Best Smash Burgers in NYC | Eater NY

"Petey’s is a small restaurant in Astoria that’s been serving affordable burgers since 2008. (There’s a second branch in Long Island City.) Anticipating the trend by more than a decade, it makes a near-perfect smash burger without calling it one: thin patties are charred on the surface but remain miraculously juicy inside. With a skateboard theme, the dining room is particularly comfy for a burger joint." - Robert Sietsema

The Best Restaurants in Long Island City

"Petey’s Burger borrows from the best elements of In-N-Out and upgrades the formula with hormone-free black angus beef. With the most simple burger still available for under $5, prices here are only a little higher than the average fast-food chain. Since opening in 2012, this location has built up a following." - Eater Staff

This burger joint serves delicious burgers that are flavorful without being greasy. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, complementing the meal well. The shake was good—simple and satisfying, though not particularly memorable. Service was fast and friendly, making the experience even better. The restaurant itself is small, with limited seating, but it’s a great spot for a quick and tasty meal.

*sigh* Walked past this spot plenty of times for 2 years while just walking the neighborhood or going to nearby restaurants like Centro &/or Bareburger. Slightly curious because I like to know all the good burger spots but with Bareburger being a block a way but more importantly burgers being made at home, no need. Today was the day. Been craving a burger for a few weeks & w/the recent closing of Paper Plates(Long Island City, Queens), I decided to type 'burgers' into Google Maps. A few spots came up with Bareburger & Petey's Burger being 2 of them. I decided to check Petey's reviews & pictures out. I see shoestring fries, which I'm not crazy about but they're very tolerable so I didn't let that turn me away. I'm looking at the pictures posted and thinking to myself 'these are inviting' but I still went because 'hey 4.2/5 ⭐ is a good rating" Upon walking into the establishment, I don't smell any food scents in the air despite about 5 people sitting down eating. That's a strategy that my lady goes by😘 I order a plain hamburger and regular size fries. I went to wash my hands and as soon as I sat down, my food was ready. 🤔 I go to inspect my burger and it has an onion, lettuce, tomato and cheese. What part of plain is this?? I take it back and calmly stated that I requested plain. I'm pretty sure they just swapped the buns but what restaurants don't realize is that taste is still on the food. I asked for ketchup and after putting the ketchup on the bun(1 side. This is important)I give the burger a shot. That ketchup was the worst! Oh my! It was so bad I just started eating a bunch of fries. Eventually I come back to the burger and tried again. I had to spit it out. I have pics of that if need be🤮. To help, I took the bun w/ketchup off and folded the burger with remaining bun. I tried to watch again but I couldn't finish the burger. At this point I'm just eating fries to replace the nasty taste of the burger & fries. After discarding the food, I just couldn't wait to find a Target to buy some Albanese gummy bears & get back to the office to drink water with them. That after taste was insane. Also the buns were not fresh or remotely close. Idk how this is rated a 4.2 but if I had to guess, people prioritized the price over the taste. I'll go back to Bareburger if I ever get a craving for a burger while in this neighborhood

Google
Wow freshest veggie burger I have ever bought. On top of having 3 options of it! I got the southern one-absolutely delicious! Staff was friendly and the Cajun fries were awesome. Definitely would come back when I’m in the area :)

Google
This is a hidden gem, at under $10, their burger is fantastic value. They serve a simple yet satisfying burger: two thin patties, thick onion slice, fresh tomato, crisp lettuce, and melty cheese. It's greasy with a robust beefy flavor, though slightly on the salty side. While the Cajun fries emulate the Five Guys seasoning. Fresh and chewy, they are on the thinner side but pack a flavorful punch. Its definitely worth a visit for anyone craving a solid, no-frills burger experience.

Google
Wow! These burgers are amazing. I had the opportunity to chat with the owner who told me In and Out Burgers, on the West Coast, was the original inspiration for Petey's. Well, as much as I enjoy me an In and Out burger, Petey's has left them in the dust. Burgers and fries are on the menu, not much more than that but they don't need much more! My wife had the Petey Melt, a burger with carmelized onions, and cheese perfectly grilled and served on an inside out bun, buttered and toasted to perfection. I had a Double Cheese with lettuce, tomato, raw onions, and an amazing sauce they called Russian but I call delicious. The vibe is kind of neighborhoody but perfect for the fare. The burgers are made from premium beef patties. They are SLOPPY, but in that enchanting way that makes eating them all the more enjoyable. The fries are great, crispy, lightly salted and hot, onion rings richly breaded and fried to a delicate brown with flavor over the top. Here's the capper to all this, prices are right there wth most fast food joints. The staff is stellar, the prices are downright cheap and the food is incredibly delectible. Dont. Miss. Petey's.

Google
Tik tok told me to eat here. I got the patty melt with onion rings and both were not bad. The patty melt was smaller than expected but was still really filling (grilled onions were also on the patty). For the onion rings I was not expecting such a large portion size which was nice and I also saw that people who got fries got a large amount. Overall the prices here were very reasonable, the food was ok, and the service was great.

Google
Definitely come in and enjoy one of these burgers 🍔! Hands down one of the best burgers I have ever had ! Everything was fresh and delicious! Customer service was great 👍🏽 And location was close to the subway 🚇 We enjoyed our food 🥘 Can’t wait to come back ! Come and thank me later !

Google
Don't get fast food, get Petey's. The burger is always juicy with a solid bun and quality onions and tomatoes. The fries are pretty good, but get the cajun fries to level up your experience. The wings are a B+ in my book, but definitely go for xtra spicy, as they aren't too hot. The shakes are nice too if you wanna treat yourself.

Yelp
Somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. Ambiance: Hole in the wall Food: Good, simple cheeseburger with grilled onion, tomato, and lettuce. I had a pretty good, hot, traditional burger. I ordered the combo (got the sweet potato fries) and the fries were hot and tasty. I tried the regular fries too and actually liked them slightly more than the sweet potato fries. The combo came with a soda. This is a simple, no frills burger and fries, just a very casual local spot.

Yelp
Won't impress you, but won't disappoint you, either. Just a solid, reliable burger joint in an area without many other burger joints.

Yelp
This suffices for a fast food burger joint, especially in an area that doesn't have many fast food options (like McDonalds, Wendys, etc.) I will say it's pricier than fast food options while you're getting quintessential fast food experience, but it does the job. It's no glamorous dining area, but it's good enough to chow down your freshly made burger and fries. I got the single cheeseburger and regular fries, which totaled $12.70. I was satisfied hunger-wise but especially in this area, around $13 can get you pretty far (ahem, Asian food). There were several orders ahead of me, including take-out orders, so my meal wasn't ready instantly, but decent amount of time that was quicker than a sit down spot. The cheeseburger itself was decent - I'm personally a bigger fan of having a sautéed or cooked onion rather than a raw onion in my burger (Petey's uses the latter). Fries are decent and they taste slightly more natural than McDonalds'. Recap - go here if you're in the mood for fast food and a quick bite!

Yelp
I was craving some fast food burger and found this place in LIC near my apt. I ordered for pickup via uber eats. I got the Petey Melt and cajun fries; the total was around $14. The fries were $5 but it was a decent amount (not sure how much fries you get in the combo since I purchased it separately). The burger looked small but it was filling. I enjoyed the grilled onions and the sauce that it came with (kind of like some long island dressing) . The burger itself was a bit dry but the sauce def helped. The cajun fries were thin and ok. It did the job but if you're looking for something like shake shack this isn't it. This isn't a gourmet burger, more of a local burger spot that is quick and easy. Staff was friendly and my order was ready on time. The place itself is a hole in the wall, there are some seats inside but overall it is kind of small.

Yelp
Good enough to scratch an itch. The burger reminded me of the patties you get from Costco for your backyard bbq, but I happen to like those. The fries order was large enough to share - thin cut and crisp, but I ate the whole serving because of my love affair with condiments and Cajun powder.
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
At first, I thought the place looked pretty reasonable, but I realized that was only for a burger. The fries costed almost as much as the burger, and the milkshake as well added up to be quite expensive. The burger was a bit small and not the tastiest, which was disappointing given the price, so I won't be coming back.
google avatar

Linda K.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try this place for awhile. So here is the tea, the burger did give me in and out vibes, and was well seasoned. The Cali fries were ok, I felt like it was missing something. The buffalo wings were pretty good as well, it was a lot for one order which I'm not used to in nyc-not complaining! Overall 4/4! I would order from them again.
google avatar

Steph W.

Yelp
The restaurant has a few tables to dine-in. The burgers here just don't hit the spot. The bun reminds me more of sliced white bread. I ordered the Cajun burger ($6.75) and enjoyed the sauce but the flavoring of the actual burger was pretty bland and there was really no juiciness to it so I ended asking for hot sauce which helped a bit. Clean bathroom available within the venue.
google avatar

Shirin B.

Yelp
I'll let California stick to the burgers cause Petey's is just not it. Not only is it more expensive than most burger joints it's also just not a good burger. My friend got the Petey melt and he said it was "ok" and the buns were just very low quality. I felt the same way about the buns on my burger and in addition got the southwestern veggie patty which was bland in flavor. They charge 50 cents each for the sauce and the honey mustard was so sweet and the hot sauce provided was Tabasco. Unless they bumped up the quality here, I would argue there is much better food in LIC.

Yelp
Went to Petey's Burger for lunch on a rainy Wednesday. A solid burger and fries, just expect it to be very onion heavy. Quality: For folks craving a taste of In-N-Out, Petey's Burger is probably as close as you can get in NYC. They serve up a high-quality burger, which is very juicy, and served with a massive onion chunk. They also offer California Fries, which are served animal style with cheese and onions. It is a place that can hit the spot, but also can end productivity for the day. Quantity: A substantial burger and the fries are absolutely massive. Value: $7 for the Double Cheese Burger. $5 for California Fries. Ambiance: Petey's Burger is a fast casual joint located in LIC. The space is small and very much like a fast food restaurant. They have a small counter and about a half dozen tables for dine-in. A tiny beat-up television hung from the ceiling and was showing the soccer game with audio in Spanish. Crowd: Several other guests enjoying a work lunch. Service: The guy behind the counter was great and the food was out quick. Parking: Lots of nearby street parking.
google avatar

Steve T.

Yelp
Basic burger and fries point serving decent food. While the food isn't amazing, it does fulfill that craving. It's on the pricey side as a double cheese burger ran me $11. That's more expensive than Shake Shack, which is indefinitely better.
google avatar

Heejin P.

Yelp
A 3.5 rounding up since there isn't a good alternative to a fast-casual burger spot in the neighborhood. Tried: - cheeseburger 8/10: buns could have been of better quality but otherwise the rest of the burger was fine. It looks a little small but is quite filling - cajun fries 6/10: never been so confused and disappointed by such normal looking fries before. Was surprisingly hard..perhaps not fried enough? - black&white shake 7/10: your average shake, nothing too remarkable
google avatar

Emanuel M.

Yelp
A tasty no frills burger at a reasonable price. Yes they use cheap freezer burger pattys. But they're at the McDonald's price point. Overall the burger was well put together with fresh lettuce, tomato and onion's. It was filling. They give you a lot of fries (Cajun fries are great). For a takeout (or dine in) burger spot it gets the job done

Yelp
Yesterday's restaurant experience left me quite disappointed. After placing my order and heading to the bathroom, I encountered an unsettling situation. Someone aggressively knocked and banged on the bathroom door, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Upon stepping out, I discovered it was the delivery person who seemed to have an attitude. Despite my silence, he continued with a defiant tone. The unwarranted staring and inappropriate comments during the incident further added to the unpleasant encounter. This raises concerns about the service quality and professionalism of the restaurant's employees. Customers deserve better treatment, and I hope the establishment addresses these issues for the community's sake.
google avatar

Joy Z.

Yelp
The perfect burger to me! So good when it's fresh, I love the slightly grilled onions and tomatoes, and the patties are thin and flavorful. Casual spot with a few tables, I recommend eating here over takeout because the burgers are better when they're hot off the grill. Sweet potato fries were also great. Their regular fries are just ok.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try this spot cause it looked like In-N-Out burgers so was pretty intrigued. They only have 3.5 stars right now on Yelp but I actually think they were pretty good, especially for the prices. When I came, they were only offering take out / delivery. I noticed that they were also getting a ton of delivery orders. I ordered the double cheeseburger, cajun fries, and a strawberry milkshake. The meat tasted chargrilled and was actually pretty juicy but the veggies looked a little sad. The buns unfortunately felt cheap and weren't as light and fluffy as I would've preferred. It was still a tasty classic burger overall and had a special sauce on the bottom similar to In-N-Out sauce. The cajun fries are basically regular fries with some old bay seasoning. It was on the saltier end so I'd recommend just getting the regular fries. The fries are thin and they also gave a good amount as well. The milkshake was sweeter than I'd liked but it was still a classic strawberry ice cream milkshake. Definitely stop by for a quick lunch or even to satisfy that burger craving. Prices are affordable and it's filling as well!

Yelp
Thought Petey's Burger was pretty average. Some of the high reviews had me thinking there was something really special about it, but I thought it was okay. It's a solid burger, but nothing to write home about. I thought the service was pretty good though, and that the cajun fries were decent. It's nearby, so I might be inclined to visit again if I were really craving cajun fries or a quick burger. If not, there are other burger joints I prefer to visit!

Yelp
Wanted to treat myself to a nice burger yesterday so I ordered mine from Petey's via grubhub and picked it up. It was appalling to realize when I walked in that the prices for the things were posted on the wall as actually being $2 less for EACH item I ordered. So I spoke with grubhub and they informed me that the business is responsible for setting these prices. I called to speak with someone at Petey's and was told I would get a call back which never happened. It's sad that a business would practice such dishonesty and take advantage of the patrons that are trying to show support during times that are difficult for us all. If you're wondering about the food, it was a frozen burger.

Emily P.

Yelp
This is the best burger place I've been to since moving to New York. In LA we had a chain burger place beloved by the locals but this easily tops it. It's far better than Shake Shack or any other fast food place in the Northeast, too. The only burger place that gives it a run for it's money is Dick's but that's all the way in Seattle...
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
Damn... after living in LIC for 11 years, I finally stepped inside Petey's burger. Once you walk in, you'll smell the grease but that's the way it's supposed to be. The burger was beautifully packaged. Weighed a ton. I was expecting some smashed up burger in some greasy bag but it looked amazing. The cheese permeated the two patties. Some people say it's comparable to Shake Shake. Some say it's comparable to In and Out. I think the tastes are similar but uniquely different in its own right. It's good. It's very good. I've been missing out for 11 years, dismissing it as some ordinary burger place. But it is not my fat foodie friends. I think prefer this over those other two establishments. The California fries are good. Cheese on top with cooked sweet onions. And they are very generous with their servings. Nobody in LIC makes a better burger than Petey's.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
A few friends recommend me here for a burger and fries. The fries are good fresh. Similar to McDonalds. Once the fries get cold not as good. Cheese burger with bacon can't go wrong. Not too greasy. Something simple and easy to get. It's not amazing but pretty good for a simple burger and fries. My to go place for a simple burger. The buffalo wings are done well and the size of the wings is good. Not too tiny like some places.

Vladimir S.

Yelp
The place is a hole in the wall. The burgers, fries, and shakes are good. Good enough for a fast food place
google avatar

Rob C.

Yelp
Good solid burger, straight up goodness and no frills. Perfectly seasoned and fries are great too.

Dave C.

Yelp
Place is freezing for dine-in. I can't even get to rate the food, because my fingers are paralyzed. Winter time and the temperature inside the place is colder than outside. Prices incorrect on chalkboard. Smells like rancid oil. The burger is dry, looks like it was microwaved. Also very salty. Conclusion: An overpriced McDonalds. Need lots of ketchup to make it work.

Michael K.

Yelp
Best burgers around ! Fries, onion rings, milkshakes all great .nothing overpriced and fast delivery ! Love this place
google avatar

R. Hollis S.

Yelp
Food was super late. When I called to check up, the extremely rude person who answered said it left a long time ago, then hung up on me. After an hour and a half later, the food still had not come. I called again, and they did not answer. The food finally came and it was ice cold. I called back again and the rude jerk answered. I told him it was cold, and he said it was just sent. So what is it? Did it leave hours ago, or did you forget and just send it? Either way, it sucked! This place used to be okay, and I mean just okay. But it was fast and was acceptable. But it has gotten worse and worse over time. The fries are now just reheated frozen fries, as opposed to fresh cut potatoes like in the past. The burgers are overcooked and way way way too salty. Their wings are like wood. And the veggie burgers fall to pieces after one bite and make a mess. I'll never order from there again. And I'd recommend no one else blow their money on this junk.
google avatar

Nikki R.

Yelp
Definitely one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. Very well made and beef is good quality . I wasn't a fan of their California fries (onions weren't cooked well and it's nothing like in and out animal fries) but their regular fries are very crispy and pair well with the burger. Combos are a great value. Food is made fast but is always fresh.

Mac G.

Yelp
Admittedly, I love fast food. Specifically, I love a good California burger: two patties, each with a square on American cheese, sandwiched between a thick slice of tomato and slice of raw onion, and separated from the toasted bun by a crisp sheet of iceberg lettuce. Perfection. Petey's consistently delivers on this classic staple and precisely honors the classic California burger formula to delicious results. The fries however are the true showstoppers. Thin cut, double fried (I assume), and golden brown, these perfect fries are a rarity. Too many restaurants are trying to reinvent the fry into some gourmet concoction, and I can't stand it. I don't want potato wedges. I don't want sweet potato, garliced up gobbledygook tossed haphazardly into my bag. I want a classic, glistening, French fry, and I want it for less than $5. If you want this too, look no further than the intersection of Vernon and 47th. For the record, this isn't a first date place nor is it new and trendy. The walls are scraped up and the seats have seen more buns than a bakery. Don't come here for the decor. Come here for a fantastic burger at a reasonable price.
google avatar

Lizzy O.

Yelp
Their burgers taste great and are a great value. Their fries are okay. I will definitely be coming back and trying all their burgers.

Betty T.

Yelp
Best burger place in the neighborhood. Me and my family tried almost the whole menu, and every item was just as you were saliving for. My own favorite is the Petey's melt.... Make sure you have plenty of napkins around, since that sandwich is juicy and it will leak. Add some bacon and you are set. Furthermore they have their own delivery drivers, very friendly and courteous, and they always arrive way before the time you are expected (do not blame any of them if the Pulawski Bridge opens, that thing is a nightmare). To summarize I'd like to recommend Petey's to anyone, who is in the mood for a Great burger
google avatar

Mali A.

Yelp
Rude af! I walked in with no greeting. I felt I was inconvenient ordering food with the cashier. Like it was a problem I'm giving them business. I should have walked out. Food was ready he didn't serve it to me. Just so unwelcoming. And the food is bland. Oh and they're racist !!!!
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
Cheeseburger was excellent! Made fresh with grilled onions. And that sauce was slamming!! Go get it!!
google avatar

Allen T.

Yelp
So I having lived in Long Island City for so many years, I ended up deciding to give this place a try. Before trying the food, my impression of Petey's was a very very slightly higher fast food type joint than a Mcdonald's and a Burger King. I ordered the Petey Melt, and my gf got a regular burger. The food here is super super super greasy and I could have sworn that my Melt was entirely covered in oil. There was so much grease/oil, that it was seeping through the bread! Size wise, the food was on the smaller end. The size of the burgers and food could definitely use some ugprading. The Fries looked very delicious, but turned out too soggy. basically every fry was limp.
google avatar

Art C.

Yelp
Such colorless and flavorless service... but a damned tasty burger so can't fault them that much I guess. I wouldn't go so far as putting this in my top 5 or 10. But if you're in the neighborhood why the hell not...
google avatar

Anderson L.

Yelp
I wanted to try a burger place and this one seemed okay. I went to the location after ordered a hamburger combo which comes with burger, fries, and a drink. I arrived, the guy charged $11.11 and told me to take the order on the counter. The order ended up being a double cheese burger. I come back the guy apologizes and says it'll be right out. Afterwards, I head back to work to find this soggy, sauce covered burger. The menu doesn't state it'll be drenched in sauce and it's as unappetizing at it looks. After spending 40 minutes heading to this location and back to work twice, I decided to cut my losses and post this review. The fries are a bit burnt, they're soggy, and are lacking salt. The coke was a standard 12fl oz can.. I would not recommend going to this place unless you have nowhere else to go. The places reviews are way too good for the experience and food I just had.
google avatar

Gordon W.

Yelp
Solid neighborhood spot for a no-frills cheeseburger that is fast and consistent. There's other burgers on the menu as well but the fries are only OK. It's a casual local shop with some seating and I see myself coming back for a double or triple cheeseburger whenever the craving hits.
google avatar

Andy G.

Yelp
Best burgers in Hunters Point LIC, and at the best price. You know what else? Exact same thing can be said about the milkshakes. It's been a go-to of mine for years.
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
A no-frills, quality, very reasonably priced burger joint. I've been meaning to try out Petey's for the longest time, but then got derailed when Bareburger moved into the rea...but finally made it on by! And thankfully so! I ordered to go, but they have ample seating and a fairly large screen TV if you're coming solo to stuff your face with some beefy goodness. I ordered: Double Cheeseburger - Not disappointed in the least. Perfectly cooked with a nice char, adequately cheesed. Yum. Cajun Fries - Really nicely spiced! Good kick to em, definitely recommended! It took me far to long to try out Petey's, but now that I know...I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
I love Petey's. I'm sad to write this. I got a double cheese and fries. It was $15. I could've gotten sushi for less money a block away. This will be the last time I go there.

Yelp
Ordered food through seamless, waited more than one hour before calling them. Was told no delivery and no refund.

Yelp
Tasty burger! Fresh and always early delivery! Onion rings and fries are crunchy! Highly recommended

Yelp
*sigh* Where do I begin? This experience was painful for two reasons: (1) I had a perfect experience less than a week ago at another burger joint (2) I only ventured all the way to Queens based on another review. Too bad it was a waste of time, money (including toll), gas, and just pitiful. After the Patch alerted that this was the only NYC eatery listed among "the 31 best burger joints in America" by Thrillist. we just knew we had to learn why. As we walked up to the Long Island City location (the other is in Astoria), hubby and I were puzzled that there were no customers. Were they open? Were we the only ones that saw the Patch article? The employee was very nonchalant in comparison to our enthusiasm and curiosity about what made Petey's stand out from all the rest. There really wasn't much of a menu to choose from so it was just a burger, fries, buffalo wings, and a milkshake. We had to switch from dine in to take out, maybe that's why they did not earn an A for effort on the presentation. It was as if they just threw the food in a bag and handed it to us. The "Cali-style" burger was a flop. The fries were not appetizing at all. If I posted a picture, you'd lose your appetite. Limp fries covered in somewhat melted American cheese and sloppily sliced onions. The smokey barbecue wings were sour. The black and white (chocolate & vanilla) milkshake was the only saving grace. I wanted to try the berry chocolate, but after seeking the advice of the same nonchalant employee as to whether or not it was a popular item, I decided to stick to what I know. This whole experience was just disappointing...lesson of the day, do not believe all that you read.

Yelp
Being tired of shake shack and their delivery times I tried this local spot and we weren't disappointed- it's close - it was fast and just as tasty

Yelp
Good burger joint, fries are a bit greasy but it satisfied the craving. There are definitely better places in LIC but for a quick tasty burger this place fits the bill.

Yelp
Not much to look at from the outside... corner joint in Long Island City.... but the burgers at this joint Rock... The shakes are perfect and the fries, well let's just say they make the old school McDonald's french fries look like junk (and yes I'm talking about the ones that were fried in lard and drenched in salt)

Yelp
I found out about this place from a recent Thrillist article stating the "The 31 Best Burger Joints in America." West Coast Style Burgers and fries better than In N Out. This got me excited. West Coast Style Burgers better than In N Out?! Had to give this a try. My first Impression of this location was not positive. It's not the cleanest and the tables and chairs have definitely been worn down over the years. If ownership is listening, its time for an update if you care about first impressions or at least a deep cleaning with some fresh paint. This is what I ordered: 1. Double CheeseBurger West Coast Style with Grilled Onions and Special Spread. It tasted like a West Coast Burger, but was nowhere near to In N Out quality. The bun was a bit stale and the Cheese was not melted. The meat patties are bigger, but they were dry and lacking flavor. The onions were grilled well, but they were in big pieces rather than diced. This burger was okay, nothing special. 2. California Fries. The serving size was very generous. They were actually pretty good. My only recommendation would be to dice the grilled onions. If you are in the area and craving West Coast Style Burgers, I would recommend stopping by Pete's. I'm glad I got to try this location, but it's not something I would go out of my way for.

Yelp
Got hungry after our Elite event last night that we decided to look for a place that we could refill our stomach after the pizza and drinks we had in the nearby comedy club. Never thought of how many choices are there in line for us along Vernon Blvd. The first fast food we passed by after turning left from the club was this place.... perfect as my stomach was yelling for burger. We had their cheese burger and the California fries. The burger was SUPER oily , no , GREASY , but how they grilled ( or fried???) the patty was just how I like it, way better than Burger King. Price is higher comparably but worth the taste. The California fries serving is good for two people ( please take note of that ). It has onions and cheeses mixed with the potato that made it less crispy. Did not like much, it was too heavy for me too. The place wasn't bad but not great. It was alright.

Yelp
Came here a couple of days ago with a group of friends and had the order of buffalo wings with a side of California fries that I ended up sharing among the group. We all agreed: the wings were 10/10. The sauce was just the perfect amount of hot, the wings were fried well and most importantly, they were heavy on meaty, which lead me to share it since i couldn't finish it myself. One order is all you need to not eat for the rest of the day. The cali fries were a nice touch of a side as well. Mix it all up with what they serve it with and you'll keep eating even if you're full.

Yelp
Petey's delivered quickly and was so delicious! It was almost perfect in every way. Why, then, you may ask, the two star rating?...generally I prefer my fries significantly less hairy.... (see pic) There was a huge hair ball amidst my fries and I fear I will never psychologically recover. If you like your fries garnished with a furry friend then petey's is the place for you!
