Restaurante Petiscas

Beautiful insanely amazing little restaurant on the quiet side of town. Every dish was incredible. Service was friendly and attentive. Soooo much better than any big city restaurant.

ChatGPT told me it was the best place in town. He was very wrong. The food is delicious and fresh. The waiter struggles with English, but he tries. However, the 45-minute wait for a cold chicken salad is a disgrace. The waiter couldn't recommend the chef's specialty. I felt bad there. Good food is one thing, but at these prices, I expected the service to be nicer and more competent. Other point - for 1,5 houre we are only the guest what visit thise place.

A really nice place to eat. We had codfish and a portion for two was enough for three. The options of wine are great and the quality of food is excellent.

Little restaurant with an nice terrasse on a quiet square and in the shadow (ideal during the hot summer). It is on the other side of the river compared too the busy city center. So if you are looking for a nice quiet place to eat in Ponte de Lima, this is the place. It has traditional, regional dishes and a good wine list. We got tiras de porco with potatoes and cabbage. The pork is grilled over fire and that's it. It's simple but very well done. It showcases the quality of the ingredient and it's simply very good. We also had melon with presunto as starter and half a bottle of wine (the wine was on the expensive side of their menu). Both the starter and the wine were very good. For two people we paid 46€. It's a good quality price ratio. I really enjoyed my lunch and I strongly recommend.

The only reviews on Yelp are outdated. Petiscas is a great restaurant that is Michelin reviewed. The location across the Ponte on the north shore makes for a very pleasant walk from the town. The food and service were excellent. Our server helped us thru the menu with no issue and made some great recommendations on the menu and wine list. We wanted to try a local red wine. He warned us we may not like it, but we insisted and poured into the traditional bowls for this wine.( he was right, not to our taste). We would go back to Petiscas anytime, you should too!

5 stars!! The fpod here was amazing. I had the clams appetizers and codfish cakes which were very dilightful. The clams were very fresh and the sauce was very tasteful with a tiny hint of spice which made my mouth burst with flavor. I had to ask for more bread to dip into the sauce. For the entree i had a half portion of steak with potatoes and vegitables. The steak was cooked very good to my tasting with excellent use of herbs and seasoning and very tender. The service was also very well since my waiter marcelo spoke perfect english and the owner Eduardo Martins came to check up on the table and asked how i enjoyed the meal. Shows me that he cares about his costumers. Definitely a high recommendation if you are in ponte de lima enjoying the history and lovely sites. Will be coming back very soon.

food was overpriced and nothing special. order butter for the bread, got served 4 tiny frozen butter packages, used 1, got charged 1.40€ for it. bread and everything else cost extra and isnoverpriced.
