Petit Glacier

My husband and I have been to a few fine dining places and this place still amazed us in so many ways. We sat on the balcony and the view was absolutely gorgeous. Our waitress was extremely jovial and friendly. Food was also incredible. Highly recommend bone marrow—so fragrant and buttery, and the toast served with it was perfectly toasted. Pea soup was herby and hearty and hit right in the spot. For dessert, we had brownie and yogurt ice cream parfaits, but you can’t possibly go wrong with any choice. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the hummus, not that it’s not good—it just lacks a bit of special touch.

Our meal was a delight: beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with great care and high-quality ingredients. Each course exceeded our expectations, turning a simple dinner into a memorable culinary experience. And of course, the views are simply breathtaking. Surrounded by the majestic landscape of Grindelwald, dining here feels like a perfect harmony between nature and refinement. Petit Glacier is not just a place to eat — it’s a place where everything is thoughtfully crafted to create a unique and enriching moment. Highly recommended.

Blatant racism. If you’re European or white, they roll out the red carpet and give you the best outdoor view even if you’re only ordering a drink. But if you’re Arab or non-white, they push you indoors even if you’re ordering a full meal. Absolutely disgusting behavior in 2025. Shame on this hotel and their staff for treating guests based on skin color and nationality. There’s drinks outside as evidence

We stopped by Petit Glacier for lunch and it turned out to be such a find. It’s just off the main road in Grindelwald, but feels like a quiet little escape. No noise, no crowds—just calm vibes and spectacular mountain views. We had the homemade ravioli and the Alpine beef burger. Both dishes were spot on. The staff were incredibly kind, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. If you’re looking for great food in a peaceful setting with genuinely lovely service, this place is a must.

I had dinner at the Petit Glacier and honestly, it was one of those evenings where everything just felt right. The terrace offers beautiful mountain views, peaceful atmosphere, and just the perfect place to slow down and enjoy good food. What really made me happy though was how kind and attentive the staff were. They made me feel totally welcome from the first minute. I’m vegan, which can make eating out a bit stressful sometimes, but not here. They really knew their stuff about dietary needs and made sure I had proper, tasty options, while my family got to enjoy their own (non-vegan) meals too. Everyone left happy and full. Ps: the Mocktails were delicious:))
