"Longtime Belgian restaurant Petite Abeille closed after 22 years in Gramercy. The restaurant cited rising operating costs as the reason for the closure in a statement sent to Eater and says a new location outside of NYC is possible. The venue once had multiple locations in NYC and played a big role in popularizing the European-style bistro in NYC." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Came for the all you can eat mussels + a beer for $28 on Wednesday’s. Really great deal, delicious mussels. Fantastic service! Super chill environment. Noticed how family friendly they are. Also, the Belgian waffles are a must!!

Spacious Belgian restaurant with some great menu choices and an interesting array of beers. Most entrees are in the ~$25 price range, so it’s not exactly cheap, but on Sundays they offer free kids meals (with each adult main meal ordered) which makes a family meal very economical.

Had a great juicy burger for lunch. Coffee was good too. I found the menu to be quite lacking in variety and the prices quite steep, especially with the smaller-than-usual portions of the food. Service was prompt and friendly and the place had a cozy and inviting vibe.

Best brunch I've had so far in New York City. They allow dogs outside on the patio area. I loved how they offer a bottomless mimosa option on their menu. The fried chicken and waffles are exquisite. If you're in the area, it's a must.

Great place to take young children in a great atmosphere. The food is decent, but not great. The steak I had was not as tender and the fries were good but not the classical Belgian fries. The Bricked Chicken was pretty great. The waffles are nice but not spectacular. The service was a bit non-responsive and slow, but according to my friends that is unusual. All in all I liked it, but only gave it three stars because I think it is rather expensive for the quality of the food.

Yes, it is a great neighborhood place. I had a very negative experience. I arrived 15 minutes before the evening menu became active. I ordered from it. They would not honor my order because it was 10 minutes before the menu became active. I talked with the manager also. I worked in many restaurants in my younger days. My bosses were more interested in pleasing customers rather than following rigid rules. They lost a current and future diner.

This place has a small storefront that I missed the restaurant and ended up walking backwards to find this place. The restaurant is small but when I went in a weekday morning, it wasn't crowded and there was no wait. I had their egg sandwich which was decent. It wasn't out of ordinary and it didn't taste spectacular. I probably should have gotten the Belgian waffle but it was way too early for me to have sweets, since I'm trying to limit my sugar intake. The service was slow, we didn't really get our cup filled with water but there was only one waiter and he was walking around couple tables here and there, so its understandable. I will definitely try this place again for their Belgian waffles!

Got the salmon cream cheese omelette and Belgian ice cream waffles. The waffles and ice cream tasted like SUMMER and were so delicious. The omelette was really good too. All the food was amazing!!! The only thing that sucked was the waitress took forever to refill water and come back to us.
