"After a day or so of nothing but extremely heavy (albeit, delicious) Southern food, a crisp salad starts to sound really good. Come to Cafe Amelie’s casual, but equally tasty offshoot for a light breakfast, or a bowl of seasonal soup and a heaping plate of the aforementioned salad (the Ponchatoula Strawberry is particularly refreshing)."

This place is very beautiful, located in the center of French Quarters.I went very early on a Saturday for breakfast. However for someone who is not from New Orleans, you will find it difficult to chose a healthy breakfast, unless you want to eat 20$ Salmon.I was hungry but for the prices I could only afford a cup of coffee and a croissant. This place is expensive compared to other restaurants nearby. The place is clean, the staff if friendly (it is a self service),and thr coffee is good.

Jai was the perfect host full of information and friendly banter. His staff were attentive and helpful and very amiable. The food is very well prepared and although they don't have a large menu the sandwiches and soup are amazing. The Ciabatta bread is some of the best I've had if you are looking for something light to eat while in the quarter I highly recommend Petite Amelia!

Staff moved at New Orleans pace, not the rush that us Yankees are used to. The food is amazing, but expensive... if you aren't used to organic plain yogurt, don't get the parfait. The texture of the yogurt was off and it wasn't sweet enough, plus frozen berries means squishy berries. The granola topping was amazing. $4 for a 12oz hot coaco is a bit ridiculous.

We stopped at this place as we were doing some sightseeing around this area. We ordered some beers and a sandwich 🥪 the sandwich was so so so delicious! The place got like vintage style vibe. I really liked it, I’d definitely recommend it.

Incredible! If I ate nothing else but their homemade granola bars for the rest of my life, I would be happy. (It’s like a box of cereal made sweet love to a jar of honey!) I also had the huevos rancheros sandwich which was also excellent with very fresh baked bread. Just amazing!

Promised that our food would be done in 15 minutes and it took 45 minutes to bring our food. We were on a time crunch and although they updated us on the status of the food and offered to let us eat any pastry on the house it was not enough to make up for the wait. Disappointed after hearing about the hype surrounding this place. Had chicken salad sandwich the food did not meet expectations either despite how hungry we were at that point.

The food is absolutely great, but it takes time. The counter staff is just hanging around behind the counter, and they seem to be keeping the bare minimum of manners when conversing with the customers. The food makes up for all of that. Muffuletta is AMAZING.

Yelp
Great place for a delicious lunch. Stopped in after a stroll through the art galleries. The owner was welcoming and helpful getting us a table. We loved everything we ordered, bold flavors and fresh ingredients. Very cozy atmosphere, we will definitely return on our next visit, thank you!

Yelp
Same cute decor as the old version, even more overpriced food. $15 for a panini (basically a grilled cheese with turkey, no chips or extras). Desultory service - was not offered a glass for my $4 mineral water, or even a napkin. Get your act together, A Neighbor
