The Wave of New French Restaurants Washing Over the Bay Area Won’t Stop | Eater SF

"At lunchtime the small Petit Left Bank in Tiburon—Roland Passot of La Folie fame—was full to the last table, with servers in T-shirts that read “Let’s French!” delivering plates like petrale sole Grenobloise and steak frites; the menu also reflects local flavor, with items such as a panisse starring delicata squash alongside kale and feta, and Passot describes the cooking as French technique with a bit of Californian flair while reflecting on past waves of French dining in the region." - Flora Tsapovsky

Petite Left Bank in Tiburon is a total gem! 🇫🇷✨ Gorgeous French bistro vibes, amazing food (the beef bourguignon and moules frites were incredible), and the friendliest staff. Perfect spot for a sunny lunch or cozy dinner. Feels like a little slice of Paris by the Bay. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Google
First time in Tuburo. I searched for a decent restaurant to eat. I thought Petite Left Bank would be it. The atmosphere and decoration are good. There inside and out side seating. The service is bit slow is forgivable. The food is mediocre. The onion soup is a bit sweet the taste of the onion somehow not balance. It is not good. The 12 oz ribeye stake medium rare came out mostly raw I could only eat some edge but gave up. Oh the toast and chicken liver pate like ( I forgot what it called ) taste sweet . Lack of punch like liver pate. This appetizer is also no good. The butter salad is ok .

Google
A decent Happy hour menu. Some things were excellent, such as the French fries. Best I've had all year (and they serve a Bernais version and garlic version too). Fantastic. Mussels were a B. OK, but not amazing. Big, tender, juicy, but the flavor just wasn't there. My son had a nice looking burger, but it seemed slightly highly priced for a happy hour version. I really wanted to get the jambon sandwich I saw on the website, but it unfortunately was not served. Bartender said it was only served at the regular Left Bank....too bad. The bread was excellent...they definitely know where to source their bread. As good as what you will find in Europe, which is saying a lot. Service with a smile. Happy, polite and attentive bar staff who were happy to serve us at an outdoor table. Refilled my son's coke twice. All in all, it was a pretty good early dinner.

Google
Really like the ambience here. The happy hour specials are a good value, and we tried the ham and butter sandwich which was outstanding and reminded me of Paris. We sat around the fire pit for happy hour and the only negative I’d have is that there’s a lot of detritus Around the fire pit.

Google
The food was very good! There was only one waitress working the entire place, so she did her best but it added some tension to the room because you could see how swamped she was. Menu was great & loved that they had mocktail/CBD soda options.

Raul A.

Google
Wait staff was not warm nor welcoming. We were made to feel unwelcome before we were even seated. We had reservations and they were not that busy. Had to convince waitress that they did have whisky and she argued with me about the differences between Scotch and whisky. Setting outside next to a parking lot, not that fun. For the price there are much better options in my opinion. Food was okay. Walked away still hungry.

Google
Been here a couple times. We love the location and ambience. In the summer months they open the large double doors between the bar and the sidewalk, and it creates a welcoming vibe. Our most recent experience fell short on the service side because of menu items being unavailable. The waiter was super nice but didn’t tell us about sold out or unavailable items. He took our order and came back later to tell us to change a couple items. We chose a substitute and added a side but that was also unavailable. What we ate was all good. Great flavors. Recommend the Moules Frites.

Google
A solid neighborhood restaurant. Drinks were good and mussels were impressively tender, but I really enjoyed the french toast. It was what I needed: good bread, almost like pudding fragrant with butter, super viscous syrup, and delicate cream. The joys of sugar!!

Yelp
The restaurant was cozy and quiet. The tables inside were reserved so we were seated outdoors. We ordered Escargots and Steak Tartare. Escargots were yummy - the sauce/juice was great for dipping the side breads. I loved the Steak Tartare! It's fresh and well balanced with the ingredients and seasonings.

Yelp
Hung out here with my friend for Lupper (lunch+supper) and enjoyed the friendly service, some live music, and comfy ambiance after a long walk around the coast on a Sunday afternoon. There were plenty of tables. We ordered the mussels that came with fries, escargot, Niçoise salad and a burger. The escargots were buttery and small, the mussels were clean and plump. Both had bases worth dipping with the bread! The tuna with the salad was underwhelmingly bland but the burger was juicy with more fries than we could eat! One man greeted, served, bussed, and gave us our check so response time was slow - perhaps the place is understaffed.

Yelp
Petite Left Bank in Tiburon gave me all the Paris vibes. Charming little French café, and we were lucky to walk in without a reservation. No special occasion--just carving out some time with one of my besties. We shared everything since I get full pretty fast, and honestly, I love trying a bit of everything! What we ordered: Classic French Onion Soup Chicken Liver Pâté (so rich and smooth) Mussels with Frites (a must!) Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad (summer on a plate) Ribeye--because why not? Drinks? Of course. Espresso Martini (for the buzz) Margaritas (for the fun) Left absolutely full and happy. Such a great experience--this spot is a small gem tucked away in Tiburon, just off the water. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
The food is incredible. It is a cozy and inviting place to come to. Sal the bartender brought the best drinks and conversation

Yelp
One of the most fun dinners I've ever had :) Our server was also super friendly and attentive and helped make the evening so memorable! InKind has a deal for $50 off $150, so naturally my date and I aimed to hit the $150 mark. This meant 4 appetizers, multiple cocktails, and 2 entrees between the two of us, and everything was FANTASTIC - Escargot: I haven't had escargot since I was a kid and I was nervous, but these weren't overly chewy at all. They were drenched in a buttery sauce that paired perfectly with the bread! I just added a bit of salt and they were perfect. - Beef tartare: Fresh, light, and well balanced. Perfect for sharing. - Oysters: Plump, perfect bites! Also super fresh and light. - Bread and butter: Served warm, perfectly toasted on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Couldn't get enough carbs during this mean, evidently. - Beef bourguignon: Incredibly savory sauce, tender veggies, and a super decadent, cut-with-your-spoon beef. Quite heavy, but perfect for a cold day. - White fish with spinach: Luscious, buttery sauce with a generous 3 fillets of perfectly cooked, tender, flakey, and moist white fish. The fish was just barely crisped for a bit of textural contrast without overcooking or drying out -- fantastic entree to round out the evening. Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
We went during happy hour after a long hike. We ordered the mussels and tartar and it was great! The location is very cute and had a nice atmosphere. The service was also pretty good and they were attentive.

Yelp
Since I'm a French onion soup connoisseur I had to take the drive to try this place ! I don't live anywhere near this city and I noticed my arrival time would be 15 minutes before closing so I called just to see would they still be able to serve me two French onion soups lol and to my surprise with a great attitude, they welcomed me in and said they'll be waiting for me! The French onion soup with hands-down amazing and the customer service was a 10/10 I will definitely be coming back

Yelp
A must stop for lunch or dinner when in Tiburon. Beautiful restaurant serving delicious food and cocktails. We loved everything we ordered specially the French omelette. Friendly host and waiters taking good care of their customers. Lovely ambiance and music playing in the background. The cocktail I ordered was amazing. Can't remember the name but it had whiskey in it with orange. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Amazing service and food was great! Beef bourguignon was pretty good. A little salty. Needed rice (IMHO) but overall good flavor. The baked clams were pretty good. Didn't care for the escargot. The mussels were good. I just used the bread and sopped up all the broth. Dozen oysters were good. Steak frites was good--cooked a nice medium rare. Creme brulee was pretty good. Restaurant was dimly lit (night), but felt comfortable. The host was really friendly and remembered my brother from month ago.

Yelp
Left Bank has the best mussels. This Left Bank location is nice. The service was spotty, I think, because they were short handed. But I do like coming to this location.

Tania C.

Yelp
Wow you cannot beat happy hour here. 4-6 pm every day according to the signage. Ordered the steamed mussels (plenty to share), bearnaise sauce fries (YUM), French onion soup, steak tartar, and the salade verte all for $56. Plenty of food for 2 people! Service was excellent, fast and courteous. They had alcohol which we didn't order but they have wine for $8, beer for $6. Unbelievable deal for Tiburon, we WILL be back! We sat outside near a heater, a bit windy but the heater did the trick. 10/10 location and food.

Yelp
Cute French bistro related to the Left bank restaurant chain in the main area of Tiburon. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Cost to worth it rating: 4 (great hh and includes weekends) Opentableable: yes Return worthiness: sure Highlights: - Happy hour: on the patio or bar area with a few sandwiches, escargot, fries, well drinks and wine including a sparkling. Prices were great with a ham sandwich for $8 and fries half off at $4. - Fries: thin, crispy, and really good as advertised. 4.5 stars - Ham sandwich: pile of thick ham on a grilled baguette did the trick for a snack. 4 stars. Lowlights: - Limited HH menus so took a while to figure out what the offerings were but we found them online - Patio: towards the street and shaded so got a little chilly Great HH find and would come back.

Yelp
Visiting California coast for a week. Staying in Mills Valley for 3 nights. Yelped and got very good review on this restaurant. Came and had the French onion sy$ the escargots, of course! As good as what I had in the Marais Quartier in Paris, 2019! Very well executed, chef!

Yelp
As someone who frequents this area, I was finally excited to try this restaurant with my boyfriend. It was a very rainy Saturday, around 5:15pm for our reservation. As soon as we walked in, we were seated immediately and led to our table. Not too busy at this time (probably due to the rain). Nice and home-y ambiance - reminded me of the bistros in France. *Please mind that the review is due to the food and not the service. The service we received was great! Kind & attentive servers. On to the food: We skipped appetizers and ordered our main dishes since we were going to a concert in the city shortly after dinner. From reading the reviews here, I ended up ordering Bavette Steak Frites. I replaced the regular fries with garlic fries & asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare. What I received in turn was a bland medium well/well done steak. Bavette steak is a cut of meat that has a looser texture so if cooked the right way, it shouldn't be as tough as it was. The cut should even hold flavor fairly well. Whilst cutting the steak my boyfriend had to hold down the table because the table itself kept shaking. Dipping the steak in the béarnaise & the arugula with its dressing helped me forget the blandness for just a little while. Though some positives were both the garlic fries and béarnaise. That's how garlic fries should be made. I enjoyed the shoestring cut of the fries as well. My boyfriend ordered the Parisian Gnocchi. He was not a fan. Small serving, could have been an appetizer. Lack of texture in the beets, felt as if it was prolonged in high heat. Tasted more like water. The whole dish lacked in textural difference. Ended our dining experience with dessert. We decided on the classic creme brûlée. Not special in taste. Not very creamy or flavorful, lacked the vanilla bean flavor. For now, we will not be planning to come back. Had high expectations which fell quite a bit. I really wanted to like this place too.

Yelp
For a Marin restaurant, this place missed the mark. For a late lunch at 3p, we walked in and the waiter just looked at us and walked away. Usually it's fine as we assumed they had a host/hostess: however, he was also the person who cleared at the table and was our waiter. We wanted the Paella or Lobster roll, but was told they were out of it. Would've been nice if they had a sign at the door so that we didn't pick this place and sat down. We settled on Salmon ($34) and Petrale Sole ($34). No bread was offered and these dishes did not come with any sides (they were extra). Both dishes were subpar and rated 6/10. Easily made at home. We also ordered a glass of rose but the waiter brought it AFTER we finished our dish, so we sent it back. The waiter did not ask if we wanted a refill of water and we had to ask. We had to ask for our bill and the waiter never came back to collect. We had to find him. The ambiance was ok. Small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. They add 3% for "livable fee". I would not recommend this place nor would return.

Yelp
Great place to eat outside on a nice day! We got a round of margaritas and they were GREAT. Server checked us out fast so we could catch our ferry! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This is an update to the original review below. The four of us returned to the Petite Left Bank and had a better experience. The PLB burger and onion soup received praise, and the dungeness crab melt was fine. But there was nothing hash-y about my duck hash from the brunch menu; it was a bland stir fry of greens, potatoes, carrots and duck pieces with poached eggs on top and a puddle of grease on the bottom (see photo). So, enough better to add stars, but not to entice us back. Original review: Our lunch was disappointing. The salade verte was unimpressive: six large lettuce leaves arranged on a plate, with vinagrette. A couple of the mussels in the moules frites were past their prime. The lobster roll was chunks of lobster atop a piece of toasted bread; no aioli could be seen or tasted despite the waiter's insistence. And the ordered Brussels sprouts never appeared.

Yelp
Shout out to Victor and another young man (didn't get his name) who were the stand-outs this past Sunday when we came for brunch. I think they were the only two working the whole restaurant. Both were super welcoming, professional and warm. They made us feel welcomed. Victor set up a nice side patio table for us and put up the umbrella since the sun was out. I told him I had a knee injury and he offered to get another chair to elevate my leg. That was really nice of him to do that (even though I declined the offer). Overall, the service was nice and friendly, even though the inside started filling up quickly. They gave us these cute mini Tabasco take-out bottles when we asked for hot sauce. The food was also delicious. We ordered the sausage hash and the beef bourgiugnon and enjoyed them. I had a nice cappuccino with my meal. I would recommend this place. It's a cute corner restaurant with nice interior decor, fabulous staff and delicious food. The prices are not outrageous and comparable to other brunch prices in the Bay area. Thank you, Victor, Petite Left Bank and staff!

Yelp
A cute French restaurant with delicious food and friendly/attentive service. Fave dishes: - Niçoise salad (super savory with anchovies and lots of olives) - lobster roll (the best dressed lobster I've had in the Bay Area) - mussels (the broth was divine!) Good but will skip next time: - escargot (better than most places I've tried in the Bay Area but not the best I've tasted) - tarte au saumon (great toppings but not a fan of the thin crust) - crème brûlée (delish but the texture felt more fluid than I'm used to) The only downside is we were celebrating a birthday and noted this in the reservation and the host/servers didn't use the info to add anything special to the service. Despite this, we had a wonderful time. After or before your meal, you can have a nice stroll by the coast with expansive and gorgeous views of the bay. Parking is available in the lot, and depending on when you go, it can fill up fast. Spaces have 2 hour limits. Despite the three $$$, it has a casual feel. Most people are dressed in their comfy chic weekend attire or athleisure outfits.

Yelp
Love this place so much! Food was absolutely phenomenal, I highly recommend stopping in to try this little treat of a restaurant!!

Yelp
We've been meaning to come here and we are so happy we did. Petite Left Bank has to be the best dining establishment in Tiburon. When you are able to find parking and get in here you will be extremely satisfied with the food, service, and overall experience. The moules frites are the most unique and delicious I've ever had. They even had a cocktail dedicated to the firefighters for the tragic fires in LA. We've always had the same host (Victor) and he's always taken care of us.

Yelp
Went to Petite Left Bank for their Thanksgiving dinner today. First the good news, the staff and server were friendly and attentive and really happy with the service. The first course was the persimmon salad and that was nice and light and a great palate starter. The second course was butternut squash soup that was so amazing, it was seasoned well and creamy. I will come back for the soup! Now, the bad news, the rest of the meal fell flat, was disappointingly bad, tasteless, overcooked, and lacked seasoning. The turkey was dry, over cooked and tough and lacked seasoning. Tried to cover it with gravy but that didn't help as the gravy was thick and tasteless. The stuffing was gummy, undercooked and just plain bad! The brussel sprouts were bitter! The pumpkin pie was heavy with spice and the texture was thick not smooth & creamy and the crust seemed store bought. The apple pie was actually a tart and the apples were sour and undercooked but the shortbread crust was nice. For a $230 tab for 2, I was very disappointed, underwhelmed and felt a bit ripped off. I will come back for their french cuisine but never for their Thanksgiving meal.

Yelp
Poor quality meal; horrible service but cool ambiance esp if you don't care about the food quality or service

Yelp
Hella mid i got the ham and cheese sandwich with the egg sunny side up and it came out silly with the egg just on top of the sandwich be ready for the yolk to explode i personally ended up removing the egg from the top of the sandwich. Cheese was good but sauce a bit much. We also got the steak tartare and it was Dijon mustard drenched. Oh also sat by the fire place but it wasn't working. Also my sandwich was hella late and it came out they asked me if i still want it but didn't apologize once. Super pils beer was good.

Yelp
9/24 had a company customer networking event. Food was great, event manager was great to work with, one staffer was our main contact. Attentive and we hosted on their outdoor patio. I'd host again.

Yelp
This was such a cute place. Delicious food. I had the French onion soup and it was very filling. I paired it with the avocado toast but could only finish half. The wait was short and the waitress was very attentive. Would definitely be back. I'd like to try their dinner next time.

Yelp
What has changed here in last several months? Used to be great but now mediocre with slow service. Still enjoy Left Bank in Larkspur but this one is off my list for now.
google avatar

Yelp
Petite Left Bank recently added a weekend brunch service and as fans of brunch, we had to go. There were some hits and some missed opportunities. Hits included a diverse menu with a variety of french-inspired breakfast items (eleven different items) to choose from that include a "petite" classic breakfast that is anything but (its generous) and a giant omelette Americain, that was almost too big. A well-designed modern bistro interior space makes Petite Left Bank a very pretty place to dine. A nice touch was a side of homemade apple jam and sweet butter served with their wood fired baguettes, in lieu of toast. Misses included their plating up and serving severely overcooked bacon (they replaced it when asked, but it shouldn't have been served) and a-okay egg dishes and expresso drinks. In my humble opinion there can never be enough brunch options in Marin. With many dishes yet to try, we can round up our 3.5 to a 4, and appreciate a new option to add to our list.

Yelp
Hubby and I took a day trip from SFO to Tiburon to try Petite Left Bank and this did not disappoint. We arrived early for our 1pm lunch and they seated us right away. I couldn't decide where I wanted to sit and they literally allowed us to move 3x before I was happy. Wonderful ambiance - love the fleur de lis tin tiled ceiling, they had Edith Piaf playing and the sky was a perfectly hued blue-- all in all, a gorgeous day to feel like you're in Paris. When in a French restaurant-- try their French champagne and you'll wonder why you ever bother with any other sparkling wine. Again-- when feeling like in France-- so we had to try the escargot en croute - single bite-sized escargot sitting in a dollop of garlic Pernod butter capped with a flawless, buttery, crisp morsel of puff pastry. I was trying to scoop out the escargot- but the move is to stab it through the pastry to the bottom, and get a morsel of crisp, buttery, flaky goodness. Just because we can't go where they serve oysters and not get them, we ordered Oysters on the half shell which were super fresh and well shucked. I say this only because we were recently at a different restaurant in a different city and the oysters were shucked well. We had to fight them to release from the shell. We also got Moules Frites Marinière - another quintessentially French dish which came with a generous serving of mussels in a white wine, lemon, butter, shallots, garlic and parsley -- I was eating the broth with a spoon as if it was soup. Its been ages since we've had a good Boeuf Bourguignon- so naturally that too was getting gotten-- luckily we had bread at the table otherwise i would have licked the bowl. They paired our entrees with wines perfectly...we let them pick for us. And it was perfect. I'm just sorry I don't live anywhere close to this restaurant. The staff was attentive, the ambiance delightful and the food exquisite.

Yelp
Excellent dishes in the mid week prix fixe menu. And a nice ambience. Both this and the Larkspur Left Bank have a wonderful mussel frite dish.

Yelp
Fabulous food. Scallop ceviche, crab roll on brioche with excellent fries, spicy margaritas, sweet butter with sea salt with the perfect crusty roll... all fabulous. But the deconstructed clam chowder was the star. Chunky potatoes, celery, sweet corn, parsley, clams--including several in the shell--in a heavenly broth. Delightful bistro décor, great service. Expensive but worth it. Looking forward to trying other offerings there.

Yelp
We had a great time in Tiburon over the weekend, until we visited this place. Our beautiful day ended with an awful experience and terrible service. We had to ask TWICE for water and waited at least 15 minutes, even though the place was nearly empty and not busy at all! We finished our water, but the waiter did not bother to refill it, while other table was left empty with glasses full of untouched water. This was our first time here, and definitely our last!

Yelp
Truly a delightful happy hour with friendly bartenders and locals. The steak tartar is a little overly mustardy for my tastes, but with that being the biggest drawback I can think of, this place made a regular out of me. Cute interior with a sidewalk patio for outdoor dining. Bonus points if you snag the table by the fire pit.

Buck C.

Yelp
We went there for brunch this morning. Everything was really tasty and well presented. . We were only sad that more people weren't there supporting this restaurant. We tried to reserve online, but the reservation site indicated it wasn't open until noon. It was open at 11 am and hopefully their reservation system will be improved. Best brunch in Tiburon as far as we are concerned!

Yelp
We were in the market for very late lunch today in Marin, but our two favorites - Don Antonio and Left Bank - were closed. Yelp came to the rescue. It didn't take much clicking to discover Petite Left Bank, with its familiar name. Could there be a connection? Yelp reviewers confirmed it: The two Left Banks are indeed connected. As we approached the end of Tiburon's main drag, we spotted the location on the right. We had to circle a few times to park (more on that below). Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the bartender. In hindsight I realize that he was very busy and that we had entered through the wrong door, but he made it a point to come over to us and make us feel welcome. Thereafter we were seated quickly, but the food came out slowly. We weren't in a hurry and didn't mind, but the pace is worth mentioning in case anyone has time contraints. This is a place for a leisurely meal and good conversation. As for the food, we enjoyed the tarte au saumon. I mistakenly assumed it would be like a quiche (I didn't see photos on the restaurant's website or on Yelp), but it was more of a cross between a galette and a cracker-crust pizza, both of which are good but don't expect a rib-sticking dish out of it. It was quite nice, with creme fraiche and shallots to complement the smoked salmon, but it needed a bit of greens on the side to make it into a meal. Speaking of salads, the green version here was supremely fresh with high quality greens, but it was small and basic. I don't consider myself a cheapskate, but I felt like it should have been closer to $8 rather than $13. The steak frites dish was...okay. The versions I've had at the original Left Bank have been better. I overheard the next table talking about how great the burgers are here so I'll be trying one of those next, or the Niçoise salad which looked and sounded amazing but the kitchen ran out of tuna today, unfortuntately. I almost forgot about our starter. We ordered the half-dozen baked oysters, which were cheesy and delicious and beautifully presented. However, they were just SO SMALL. As tasty as they were, it hurt a bit to spend $26 on them. The dessert, though...our chai-spiced creme brulee was the night's winner. If you like chai lattes, you HAVE to order this creme brulee. First, it's BIG and plenty for two people, and it comes with two chubby shortbread cookies. Second, it's surprising how much chai flavor they are able to get into that custard! The plan for next time: Sit at the bar with that sweet bartender, and order burgers and creme brulee. ~~~~~~ Parking: As you drive along CA-131 to approach the restaurant, you should watch for an arrow in the asphalt a few driveways past Beach Road. This arrow will direct you onto a side road (Juanita Lane) where parking in front of the restaurant can be found. Parking in front is limited but not impossible. If you aren't able to park in front on the first try, follow the road slowly around the rear of the restaurant and make your way back to Beach Road then CA-131 to start the loop again. We only had to circle 3 times to get a prime spot. Other Yelpers mentioned a public lot in the back; there is indeed a large lot there but I didn't readily spot the entrance. Either way, it felt like it might present a challenge to customers with mobility issues. ~~~~~~ Restroom note: There are two single, gender-neutral restrooms.

Yelp
The reception service at the restaurant entrance was very poor. Even though there were several empty tables outside, the girl at the entrance deliberately made us wait. It wasn't until the manager noticed and intervened that we were finally seated. The girl at the entrance showed a slight attitude of racial discrimination in the way she treated us. Not a very pleasant experience for us.

I loved this wonderful French bistro place in downtown Tiburon. In a newer building there's both comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. The day was so pleasant we opted for outdoors. Came here for lunch and it was delightful. Staff were so friendly and cordial. They made the experience light and fun. We started with a couple of glasses of champagne which came in beautiful flutes accentuating the bubbles. Next came onion soup with Just the right amount of cheese, and not too salty. It is well worth trying. For my main course I had the Boeuf Bourguignon, fantastic. The meat was cooked to perfection and able to easily cut with a fork, so moist and tender. The vegetables and sauce, and all the flavors were perfect. Getting a side of mashed potatoes really hit the spot to go along with it. I washed it down with a Bordeaux red... great pairing My dining partner had the sole and it, too, was perfectly prepared, along with a sparkling rose. Portions are big, and frankly all of the French cuisine preparation is as good as Bistro Jeanty in Yountville at much less the cost and attitude. We were so full that we couldn't attempt dessert, so perhaps next time. This is a great little place and very good food.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance and wonderful service! One of the best places to dine in Tiburon. Oh, the drinks are amazing too.

Yelp
The food was great! I had the lobster roll with bacon. Husband had the steak frites. Our daughter had a plane cheese burger. We also got the chef salad. The service was decent only because they got mixed up of who was in charge of our table. They have wine on tap, which I found rare for a restaurant! This is a great place to walk around as well!

Yelp
A super cute bistro with delicious food and really great service. I got the most mouthwatering Cassoulet - honestly just as good as the one I had in France. My husband got the Lobster Roll and it was also very tasty. Can't wait to return to try more menu items!!

Yelp
Nice ambiance however the food was lack luster and only tepid. Service was attentive and polite but let down by food that is French only in name - steak frites a staple of French cuisine was so so. Poulet (chicken) again a let down due to it being tepid and chewy - definitely reheated and not fresh roasted.

Yelp
Cute French Bistro in Tiberon! The service and atmosphere was wonderful! The tables and vibe were on point. There is a full bar and wine list. The cocktails were good, not great! The bartender was open to feedback. I am just spoiled so my cocktail standards are rather high. We started with escargot and baked oysters were okay, again, not great. The escargot en croute lacked the garlic flavor I crave when eating this dish. It tasted mostly like spinach? The baked oysters had too much moisture (should be removed before final baking). They were better than the escargot! For our main dishes, we each had the mussels done 2 different ways - Marinere (white wine, lemon butter, garlic, shallots) & Provencal (cherry tomatoes, garlic, olives, white wine, olive oil.) Both were tasty and hit the spot. However, each mussel dish seemed to be missing a little bit of love to complete it and bring it to the next level. The frites with the mussels were amazing! The best part of the meal...cooked perfectly! For dessert, we had the apricot galette a la mode. The flavor was good but the pastry was dry. It needed the ice cream. Overall, this is a great little bistro to enjoy a simple French meal, but the food will not knock your socks off. Again, the servers and bartenders were super nice.

Yelp
To the owner/ management: I just wanted to give you a heads up about my experience at your restaurant , we went today for lunch. The tuna and oysters were delicious, the salad was okay. Everything was great, the service and the ambiance were lovely. However, I've been dealing with a stomach illness and have been stuck on the toilet since then. Not sure what caused it, but I experienced this immediately after eating there. The staff should remember to wash their hands regularly and hope everyone can improve their food handling.

Yelp
Loved our dinner, sat outside (maybe a bit too chilly!). Served was friendly. Really enjoyed their French onion soup.

Yelp
Food was very tasty. We ordered for pickup. My husband reported that his lobster roll was delicious. Only issue? It was super small. The American Hamburger looked appetizing. The fries looked magical. They quite enjoyed it. We shared a shrimp cocktail. It came with 4 beautiful, large, chilled shrimp, a lemon wedge, and cocktail sauce. It was lovely. I had a Niçoise salad. It was so fresh and delicious. There was plenty of tuna and bright veggies. Would definitely visit again.

Yelp
On my second visit, it was as excellent as my first! I went after the evening cruise on the Tiburon Ferry. Both made for a perfect evening.
