We had the Petite Rouge coffee truck for teacher appreciation week. Julie was so accommodating! The truck is adorable and the teachers loved the coffee and pastries. We will absolutely be doing this again in the near future. Thank YOU Julie!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Google
Petite Rouge Cafe is a cute coffee shop with what appears to be a small studio in the back for meetings and pop-ups (thanks to Not Too Fancy Bakery for popping up). The latte I ordered was delicious. She even did some art on the latte. Tiny, but delicious. Service was warm and cheering as well. Only downside was the coffee top looked a bit dusty. I had to remove it to drink my coffee. Definitely clean those off. I do recommend Petite Rouge Cafe and I will return.

Google
Best coffee shop in town, best staff in town, definitely the best coffee and the owners are wonderful. Atmosphere makes you feel at home; coffee and the baristas keep you coming back, they are beyond great. Petite Rouge is a gem of NOLA; I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Google
Hands down my favorite place to work and “allegedly” hide from my clients when I need to get things done! They know my drink and sandwich when I walk in, everyone is awesome and it’s pretty much always peaceful. Get the espresso fizz (with lavender syrup—not pictured) and take a chance in the gambler, their sandwiches are AMAZING! Hoping they made it through Ida and I can resume my love affair soon!

Google
This is a cute cafe with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The service was great and the frozen coffee was amazing.

Google
A brick and mortar version of the amazing coffee from Little Red. Well done! The lattes are the best when the owner makes them, but oh well. A classy vibe inside, a good quiet place to sit and drink coffee. This will be a regular weekly stop for me.

Google
The best place to meet, hang, and work. The bites and coffees are delicious and always made fresh. The atmosphere is super chill with a fun community vibe. Everyone is happy to be in the space. Kids and dogs are always welcomed. I love going to meet colleagues and to bring my boys for a quick stop and treat.

Google
Super cool coffee shop! The owner is very sweet and her staff is great. I'm glad my friend took me to this great place! I will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Came on rec from a Tulane friend because we had some work to finish up before diving into Mardi Gras weekend. Thursday afternoon and it's not too busy - Tables with other students studying, friends chatting, or patrons reading. The ambience was fantastic with wall decor and the mardi gras touches for the holiday. Lots of color and nice music in the background. Baristas and staff were very sweet. We found an available table in the corner and my friends took their zoom meetings while I got work done. Frozen Cafe Au Lait (recommendation, 5/5) was so good as someone who isn't really a coffee person but loves a frozen treat. This was that perfect blend of sweetness and the taste of coffee, and I'll be searching for a similar one back in the bay. A small for $5.25, IMO, isn't terrible either.

Yelp
Unique and bold place. Everyone is so sweet! It's very warm and welcoming in the shop. Family oriented and dog friendly! Clean and well kept. Love the art and the design of the shop Got the Jet Fuel coffee and it was amazing! Definitely fueled for my day! Humble bagel was delicious too.

Yelp
Roomy cafe with two separate seating areas. The chicken salad sandwich on toasted Dave's Killer Bread tasted fresh and good, if not particularly distinct--call it "no surprise chicken salad." The Iced Chai latte did not pack the chai zing I was hoping for, but then again it's a "latte" which is a euphemism for "diluted by milk." It was served in a proper glass with clear ice. Water is also available in real glasses for patrons from a self-serve station. This was a convenient and comfortable place to rest and refresh after getting pupils dilated at Bright Eyes, the optometrist office next door.

Yelp
Drinks was watered down and the service was trash felt very uncomfortable and unwelcomed and so was the ambiance .

Amelia ..

Yelp
My favorite cafe in New Orleans, amazing coffee, staff and owners. Best cold brew I have ever had, and the chai is SO good -- not overly sweet like the ubiquitous mix most places use...
google avatar

Lyla K.

Yelp
sweetest owner and the vibes inside are superb. The coffee is strong and delicious, and they serve food from local businesses, what's not to like?

Yelp
Ladies serving in the truck were super nice and funny. The coffee was delicious. Would go again

Logan A.

Yelp
Me and my friend came here and the barista was super sweet however the owner seemed very rude and racist towards my friend. The owner would not speak to my friend but would speak to me. We both sat down after I ordered my drink and she told us we could not be in there because she did not order a drink and she told us "we have bills to pay" as if I had not just bought something. She told us we had to leave and could not use the outlet beside the seat to use our phones. There were plenty of other costumers sitting beside us using the charging outlets. Do not come here.

Yelp
Day 6 of NOLA Coffee Crawl Wow, what a great find! Tried some of my usual spots but they were still closed. Used my trusty Yelp app to find a coffee shop nearby and I'm glad I did! The barista was welcoming and gave great recommendations. The flavor options include house-made dark chocolate, ginger, and a maple concoction that I wasn't brave enough to try- maybe next time! And there definitely will be a next time, because this is one of new favorite spots. Oh, and did I mention the fantastic baked goods? Delicious donuts from Blue Dot, zucchini bread with walnuts and the BEST blueberry muffin I've ever had!
google avatar

Azaziah P.

Yelp
This was our first time at this coffee shop. We came to get some work done, and the atmospher is reall chill and nice for that sort of thing. We ordered a Trad Cappuccino and an Americano w/ Maple and Whole Milk. I originally asked for iced, but they gave me hot. They remade the drink, no problem, and it was delicious. I loved the maple. Great place for good quality coffee and studying!

Yelp
I had gone to the Petite Rouge truck on occasion so its good to see that they are now a bricks and mortar joint. The menu is expanded from the truck which is really good for this non-coffee drinker. There are 5 or 6 teas (but not a printed list that I saw) if you want hot. Iced, I think they offer a ginger and an herbal and a black. I went with the hot green which was delicious and OMG HOT. Like be careful and get an extra cup band hot. It's a great use of this under used building and VERY spacious. Bonus points for the series of popups in the back room!

Yelp
J'ador Petite Rouge! Such a cute coffee spot, that I had NO CLUE existed until my friend introduced us on a rainy Sunday morning. This coffee spot has a few tables to utilize and all of the windows gives it such beautiful natural lighting. We had our coffees to go and the team was so friendly. They actually knew my friends order by heart, including his signature pastry of choice lol. I remember slurping down my coffee like it was water and really enjoyed it. I definitely can't wait to come back and actually sit in the shop. I'm like 1000% sure it's going to be amazing as well. They sell a few items from local vendors and they have a food menu as well. I also appreciate they have alternative milks.

Yelp
Coffee truck?! Yes please! And I don't even drink coffee!! The lady working the truck was amazing and extremely nice! She was catering an event I was at and man was she working fast! I got the frozen hot chocolate, delicious! She was by herself and still got the job done with every order. I can't wait to try the actual cafe!!

Yelp
I loooove this place! We just moved in down the street and needed a nearby place for our coffee fix since it would be so out of the way to go to District now. I didn't know what to expect from Petite Rouge and the killer experiences have made this place a permanent stop for us. Super friendly baristas and a heavily enforced mask mandate make this place a gem. If you enjoyed the Rocket Fuel from Dee's you'll love the Jet Fuel or Mocha Monster here. And never you worry, Petite Rouge makes its own syrups so if it's lavender you crave (and y'all know how I feel about District's lavender lattes!!!) they have lavender syrup too, along with ginger, maple, and BASIL. I want to try a new one every day of the week but I'm trying to take it slow. Highly recommend the Mocha Monster subbed with lavender for the mocha. So.. a Lavender Monster? It's a monster either way you get it and it slaps. The Frozen Crush is also killer if you're looking for something extra frosty on a hot day. Today I was trying to limit my caffeine so I got iced earl grey with lavender and once again Petite Rouge did not disappoint.

Yelp
Good coffee and friendly vibes! Loved the blue dot donuts and the card games they had laying around. Owner came by to say hi to us and our newborn!

Yelp
I was in the area and was in the mood for some coffee... saw the reviews for this place and thought that I'd give it a try. I'm so glad that I did, such a hidden gem! The staff were really friendly and helpful. I ended up getting the latte with splash of lavender syrup and the veggie sandwich. Both were delicious! It is very spacious inside the shop, many tables with easy-listen tunes playing. Great place if you are looking for a place to do some work. There was even a small play space with kids table. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon. The barista was very quick and helpful. I had a frozen cafe au lait which was good, but a little on the weak side. I had the banana bread which was very dry and did not have much flavor either. I love that there is so much seating. There were quite a few people there working/studying. Pretty much all the seats are around tables so it is perfect for getting some work done.

Yelp
Great service. Great coffee. Excellent atmosphere. Love to support a woman owned business!!!

Valerie N.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting this coffee shop. The outside is very inviting and bright red while the inside is decorative with an old school coffee shop kind of vibe. However, I got a large ice latte and it tasted a little weak, watered down and it wasn't as cold due to lack of ice. It was still drinkable, but I wished it would've been stronger.

Yelp
Oh my goodness what a great little find, love the whole atmosphere, extremely Covid safe with spacing and such. The lady at the register, I. Believe her name was Julie, super friendly, amazingly knowledgeable about teas and coffee....look here, she made me a chicken sandwich and in all honesty, that sandwich had me wanting to call her mamma! The tea was another 5 stars! She crafted it, let me tell you! Amazing. Grabbed a second one it was so good! I dined in and it looked like a lot of local neighborhood traffic for pick up which tells me this won't be a secret long! Ps- I will be back - great spot to take your blind dates!! Wink wink Julie!
google avatar

Troy K.

Yelp
How can't you not love stumbling onto this super cute mini bus that sells coffee? I had been walking the area so I needed to cool down. They had cold brew on tap and the lady running the bus was super nice and friendly. My cold brew was not as bold as I like mine but it really hit the spot and cooled me off. I'd love to come back and try a blended drink or a hot cappuccino. I that would be the better route to go. Defiantly grab a drink while you stroll in the lovely neighborhood. You will be glad you did

Yelp
Discovered this unique little red truck through Yelp and found schedule for the week on Facebook. I went during my lunch break at Harry's Ace Hardware, and the lady was so nice! I ordered the Frozen Crush, and she expertly made it! Because I'm so extra, I wanted to take an awesome picture of my drink. She was super nice and helpful; she moved some things and helped me take the picture. The Frozen Crush was made with half & half, cold brew, chocolate, double espresso & ground coffee beans. Everything was blended together perfectly, and I was actually shocked at how good it was! It kept me up and productive throughout the day! In my expert opinion, don't take this before nap time. I just recently got into drinking at the many coffee shops in New Orleans. When I see this awesome red coffee truck again, I will definitely order myself a delicious coffee. It'll be hard not to order the Frozen Crush again, but I need to check out the other deliciousness!

Yelp
What a fun surprise to find as the gas in my tank was getting low! This adorable coffee truck ( a vintage Citroen ambulance ) can be found on Magazine St, in front of Harry's Ace Hardware and throughout town during myriad festivals. Julie, whom I believe to be the owner (forgot to confirm), is a super friendly lady who makes a mean cuppa Joe at a fantastic price. This is a solid stop for coffee and worth seeking out! My Americano was $3. Such a deal!

Yelp
Decided to stop by Petite Rouge to check out its potential as a coffee shop to be able to bring a computer to and get some work done at. They have quite a bit of space and their tables are all a pretty decent size with plenty of power outlets available. I ordered an espresso, which was a double served alone without any fizzy water. It was pretty dark and fruity, and I would drink it again. There were also some pretty interesting looking specialty drinks like the jet fuel with maple syrup, cold brew, espresso, and milk. They also have a case of baked goods. The service was great and friendly, but at least on the day I went, it was a bit too loud for my liking inside, so I would come back for a drink next time maybe without work to do.

Henley B.

Yelp
I had a great experience here!! Coffee was made perfectly and the spicy ham sandwich was literally delicious. I appreciated that they had a separate side dining area away from the music speakers, it was nice getting to hear the music faintly from in here and be able to enjoy a peaceful sandwich break in solitude. I came on a tuesday around noon which seemed to be the perfect time. A bunch of people studying in the main dining area but overall quiet and relaxed with good background music. Loved it

Laura E.

Yelp
Too chaotic, barista was v disruptive and kept interrupting our study session. Would not come here during finals. Won't be coming back, period.

Yelp
Alright I'm a big fan of the "Red Truck" but after my last experience I don't think I can give them my money anymore. I go almost every single day since they sit outside of my office and Ian is always wonderful. Today, it was a different person working - I've been told by co workers it's the owner. I asked for my iced coffee and blatantly saw her put milk in it instead of half and half but I wasn't about to make a scene. She was so concerned with giving a non-paying customer's child a sticker, she messed up my drink. I went back to my office and after a couple sips I just couldn't drink it. The milk tasted slightly spoiled but maybe it's just because I'm not used to regular milk. I go back down and ask her to remake it because it tastes off. Instead of just saying I'm sorry and remaking it like a normal person she starts fighting me over why she shouldn't remake it because it's gonna taste the same. She did offer to make me something else but that's not what I asked for. She proceeded to take the lid off my drink and stick a straw in it to try it for herself... bizzare. By the end of all the back and forth I said forget it and left my crappy coffee and walked away. So in the end I had no caffeine and and was out the $5. Poor customer service on her part, but Ian is always great- y'all should go when he's there.

Yelp
So happy to see this new coffee shop/cafe near Tulane and Loyola. It's roomy and airy interior reflects the cheerful nature of its owners and employees. It's a great place to write or study or socialize. Very people friendly with games and toys for children, lollipops, and dog bowl. Students, locals, and families can enjoy. They have bagels from Humble Bagels which can be made into sandwiches, wraps, and pastry selection. The tartest lemonade will wake you up if you need a hot weather refresher. I really hope to see this place around for a long time. It would be nice to have a place to hang out when I visit my kids.
google avatar

Nate J.

Yelp
Amazing little coffee shop tucked into one of my favorite streets. Great cold brew even better lattes!
google avatar

Leslie F.

Yelp
My favorite coffee place! I love a little business that remembers their customers and what they drink! The ladies are the best. Great music and atmosphere and the coffee is delicious!

Dev D.

Yelp
The food and coffee were great, but my companion and I felt very uncomfortable with the barista. She repeatedly made unsolicited sexual comments about us, and even gave us a suggestive nickname. Despite our efforts to steer the conversation another way, she persisted loudly in front of other customers. We ended up leaving in the middle of our meal to avoid further harassment. I don't normally leave reviews, but I've spoken to others who have had similar experiences with the same barista. I'm disappointed because the coffee was good, but we will absolutely not be returning.
google avatar

James U.

Yelp
This is a cute new coffee shop. Very clean and friendly. I had the espresso. I sat out front and enjoyed the hot creamy beverage. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good cup of Joe. Clean bathrooms too:)
google avatar

Marielle S.

Yelp
This truck was a welcome addition to the Gretna Food Truck Fest. She had iced coffee ready to go for the warm afternoon. The owner of the truck is really cool, and although I knew what I wanted, she didn't mind taking a few seconds to explain to other customers exactly what she offered. The iced coffee I got here was delicious, full of flavor and well priced. I can't help but wonder if this truck will eventually end up being a brick and mortar store. It would certainly be a nice addition to the area, but I'm sure it does well wheeling around the streets of New Orleans.
google avatar

Morgan F.

Yelp
This little truck has been a beacon in the morning for me numerous times including the Venture POP! Conference and the art market at Palmer Park. As I've said in the past, I'm a plain mocha gal, but places like Petite Rouge definitely have me making frowny faces at what I thought was good before. It tastes good (they use French Truck to make their espresso), and wakes me up. That's all I can ask for from this petite truck. The gal working the truck can cut a line down like Paul Bunyan on the clock, and she does it with a smile or a casual conversation. I believe they have a square, but cash is king, and I think in some circumstances they just do cash to keep the line moving. And I think they actually have two trucks, the other being a shade of pink, just an FYI. SO since this truck is so little, I'll keep this review short. Thanks Petite Rouge for waking me up when I needed it, and I'll be on the lookout for our next rendezvous.

Sahana P.

Yelp
Great little cafe with solid selection! I love to come here to study as it has power outlets near the tables. Try their donuts, they're so yummy! Also have a good selection of teas.
google avatar

Yelp
I've had plenty of people from the PacNW tell me that the coffee in NOLA is terrible. And if all you have is a weak café au lait from Du Monde, you might be quick to agree. But a little bit of intrepid searching can result in very good things, like this adorable red truck that kicks out some seriously amazing coffee. I stumbled upon this place one morning on a walk down Canal St, and it was a revelation. I had cold brew on the mind, and the Petite Rouge delivered a strong, dark, chicory-heavy brew that lit my morning up good and proper. It was exactly what I needed, and by far and away my best cup of coffee during my three day stay in the city. The owner is super nice, and we had a good conversation about coffee, Portland (she spent some time there) and why cold brew is awesome. I tried to find this truck the following day but she moves around town with frequency. And while I do love to chase down tasty coffee, I opted to try other options during my short stay. None rose to the occasion quite as well as her cold brew. Bravo for this great coffee in an awesome refurbished French ambulance!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Hot, delicious coffee on the go, "food truck style". This little red, vintage truck serves everything from drip coffee to pastries. (None available today, no big deal I just needed the eye opening java!) FRIENDLY proprietor and easy on the wallet prices. Excellent concept for coffee when you need it, as she usually parks somewhere where no coffee is to be found. Brilliant.
google avatar

Kylie D.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop! Stopped in before an eye exam next door and it was a pleasant surprise. Great vanilla latte and local baked goods. And the staff is so nice! Love this place!

Sahana P.

Yelp
Loved the decor of this place! Plenty of plants, natural lighting, and art (which is for sale). The music selection was good but a bit louder than I would prefer since I was there to study. Recommend trying the donuts; they're very tasty! Was very impressed and how clean the place was! The worker kept good track of the customers and cleaned the tables right after people left. It's nice to see given COVID that they are taking hygiene seriously and keeping their customers safe! I would prefer it the place were kept a bit warmer but I get cold easily. Overall highly recommend and I will be returning!

Lena S.

Yelp
Super cute. Quiet neighborhood Friendly staff. Great coffee. They offer a variety of milk alternatives. And the food is really good too. I had the chicken salad sandwich as well as the turkey. Enjoyed them both.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
I don't understand the hipster staff--very strange and awkward interactions. They're always out of food and drink items, which can be frustrating when you are looking for an everything bagel with avocado with a soy latte but have to compromise for a plain bagel with cream cheese and almond milk latte. That being said, they serve French truck coffee which is incredible
google avatar

Baron M.

Yelp
Stopped at random because I needed coffee and they were nearby. Very glad I did! Ended up with a velvety smooth, iced cafe au lait.
google avatar

Eve R.

Yelp
A 1970's red French truck turned mobile coffee shop..follow her social media to see where she's parked to get your caffeine fix. We had an espresso, and an iced cafe au lait..other drink options available. Needless to say service with a great big smile

Angie M.

Yelp
By far the best customer service for a coffee shop in Nola. Julie & Dana know their customers by name and ask if they'd like their usual (cappuccino and house-made chocolate chip cookie, yes please!) and Gabe makes a mean spicy gambler wrap. Thank you all for bringing this wonderful cafe to Calhoun and supporting our local community.
google avatar

Lori S.

Yelp
Love their creative coffee mixed drinks. My fave is the Monsta Mocha. They use high quality ingredients and care when making their drinks. I walk here from my house when I need a coffee fix.
google avatar

April Curran F.

Yelp
It is a nice environment good location. Nice concrete flooring and lots of space and windows. It's a new coffee I'm not sure where its grown. The lattes are like overpowering taste if u like that sort of thing, and the blended drinks don't have enough coffee in them it was like all milk and ice. Not sure if I should try something else or not
google avatar

Jules L.

Yelp
Right outside One Canal on Friday's where I work. There aren't enough good coffee places near my work place and I really appreciated this little truck. Can't wait until it comes back!!

Madison O.

Yelp
This coffee shop has easily become my go-to Uptown! Petite Rouge's coffee syrups are all made in house making any of their drinks a specialty. Also, beans are sold by the half and full pound in the shop. This location is an excellent place to get work done; there is great seating and comfortable study space tables. Plus, all of the treats here are made in house. Honestly the chocolate cookie may be the best I have ever tasted. I brought a few drinks and sweets to friends and they it's safe to say they were happy. Petite Rouge is doing everything right.
google avatar

Chandler A.

Yelp
I love this place! Julie is always so kind and makes you feel very welcome. Unique and fun drinks, too. I like the syrup options and there are tons of little pastries from local shops to choose from. Highly recommend. :)
