The issue was that there were wasps all around the restaurant. Many outside and many inside the building. We were told by the waiters that it was such I time period, but I still don’t understand, what wasps have to do with grapes, considering that they are predators. And I mean wasps and not the bees. Those insects were constantly sitting on my children’s faces. This is dangerous, especially if you have allergy, which was my case. The issue is that nobody from restaurant stuff didn’t do anything with it. They saw the situation perfectly, that everyone from the visitors suffered from that, but didn’t care. They only reacted, when I was ready to leave the restaurant because of that. The waiters moved us inside the building. But as far as I translated the final bill correctly, they charged us with an extra service fee for moving our plates 10 meters on the other tables. That fee was about 300 Forints, but I still don’t understand why it should be payed additionally. In addition to that fee, I was charged with 13% service fee, most likely to be a tip. But why is it 13% and not 10%? Why is it even that much, when every restaurant in Budapest or others on Balaton charges 5% on default?
The restaurant is located on the top of the hill with a beautiful view on a lake and vast grapes’ gardens.
This place didn’t have any beef plates, and the only dish that contained chicken was the Ceaser salad.
The Ceaser salad itself contained only the iceberg salad, pretty delicious chicken fillet and croutons, without any other vegetables.
The Duck liver and its leg were great.
But that’s basically most of the menu.
From appetizers we have ordered a ham cutting. But the dish contained ONLY 1 PEACE of ham less than 1mm thin, most of which is fat, and 2 cherry tomato’s, a quarter of cucumber, a bit of pepperoni, and I mean very a bit, and many non-salty cold cracknels (or cracklings) (small cubes of fried pork fat).
The restaurant also prepares its own vine, but all of the choices are dry non-sweet vines.
