Delicious food made with the freshest ingredients! The Greek salad with avocado was absolutely amazing. Service was fast and efficient. The beef and lamb burger was excellent—definitely worth trying. I also highly recommend their dip platter; every bite was full of flavor. The olive oil served with the fresh, warm bread was of exceptional quality. I can confidently recommend this place 100%!

Authentic greek flavors with extremely friendly and welcoming staff. I got the lentil soup and greek salad with salmon. Good portions at fair prices, highly recommended!

Truly an amazing restaurant all around. The food is delicious, healthy, clean, and light. While everything on the menu is great... my favorites are the lamb pasta, Chilean sea bass, and the Petros salad. Everything has Incredible flavor and depth. Every dish is beautifully balanced, nothing is overdone because there is a respect for simplicity in ingredients. Petros is definitely the place to go if you're looking for incredible, healthy food and a lovely dining experience.

Loved it. Dropped $100 a head with tip but we had a great time with our server (Dimitri ) and all the fun saganaki and peach salad and Gyro and lamb pizza and feta shrimp pasta. Watch out for the Petros Nektar as it’s 5 for $140. Great location and great times. Eat outside or inside! VictorB

Petros Restaurant never disappoints us! The dishes are always fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The portions are very generous, and you can really taste the quality. Delicious food, great portions, and amazing value — definitely one of my favorite spots. Try the roasted chicken! Thank you Petros for keeping Greek cuisine alive!

Food was very delicious, but a little pricey. Service could be better. I don't think they have enough staff to cover every table appropriately. The area is nice to walk around as well.

Came here for a team bonding dinner, and there was plenty of outdoor seating. The food was great. We started with the calamari, which was just the right crisp. They had some battered lemon to go with it, as well (I'm sure I was supposed to eat it to complement the squid, but I just ate the whole slice. Lol) We also had the dip sampler, and all the dips were very interesting and tasty. I had the grilled salmon, and it was cooked just right, little crisp outside but soft inside. One of my colleagues had the roasted chicken which was stuffed with feta cheese, and it looked good, I'd be excited to try that on another visit. The only drop in star is because we were a bit forgotten at times. We ran out of our beverages long before our server would come by, and we had to ask for refills. One of our party couldn't ask for condiments for his food because he assumed it would take too long. Overall, didn't dampen the meal experience, still some great food!

Absolutely outstanding. I've never been disappointed with the food or service. Quality fresh Sea Bass ❤️, great Lamb chop❤️, love the Shawarma. Eggplant appetizer 👍 Feta, sesame & Honey 🤤 and great salads. You won't go wrong. Give me a star if you felt the same way

Each bite was a taste of the beauty of Greece and its authentic food. I was in full awe by the quality, the people and service that made me feel like I was transported to Greece itself. Everything about this place was wonderful. Petros, you truly have created a beautiful restaurant! I ordered - the Greek Caesar salad - melitzanosalata - shrimp saganaki - rack of lamb - all the deserts (had to try them all) I WAS IMPRESSED WITH EACH ONE!

Whenever my family visits my sons Grandmother we always end up dining here and for the last 15 years it never fails. We mostly always eat dinner here and it goes without saying one of us orders the chicken lemon soup - a Greek staple and it never disappoints! On this occasion I ordered the Gyro sandwich which was plenty of food for two - delicious. My sister in law ordered the keftke meatballs entree and those were delicious as well - completely shareable - and my son ordered the special filet mignon skewers with fries that was huge and definitely could have been shared ! All delicious The service was on par as usual and our waiter was great and attentive! While the ambiance was fun and jovial -if you can score an outside table even better ! Overall always a pleasant experience and with ample parking is never an issue !

We stumbled upon Petros by chance last year and adored it so much that we drove almost an hour each way to take our family back this year. My partner's family is Greek and the dishes here are all authentic and incredible (the lamb specifically is the dish they had to come back for)! On top of the great food, the location is perfect (right by Manhattan beach), they allow your furry friends on the patio during lunch, and the staff is kind and attentive. A must!

I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Servers have too much attitude like Manhattan, NY sticking up their noses. I came in on 12/31, this heavy-set lady with long hair asked us if we wanted drinks - I asked if I could have a taste first. She gave me 2 droplets! And when I asked her to bring me another to compare she rolled her eyes and came back with a big attitude. The other male server, I asked if I could have a photo with my friends (whom I havent seen in about 20 years!) made me wait for 2 hours before he took my iPhone. And I think he enjoyed that I chased him with my begging looks in my wishes to get a photo from my iPhone. Just a bit brutal. No wonder you guys are low on ratings - your customer service is very poor. I gave them a 30% tip anyway because it was a holiday!

We had a magical evening again, hosted by the man the myth the legend Petros! The vibe here whether you're inside or outside is just spectacular only to be topped by the food. And food you would not expect at a Greek restaurant. For example, my favorite dish ever is chicken Parmesan some of the best I've ever had. We started with a combination of Different pitas and dips all unique. My wife had a lamb sandwich that she just loved. Our other guests had salads and more chicken Parmesan. He also has a wine that is his personal wines that are all spectacular. A must go if in the South Bay!

Great location. Petro's is a Greek restaurant located in an in close shopping center like area off Manhattan Beach Blvd so it's a little tricky to find with gps. Parking is hard but you can drive around and find a spot. We went on a Wednesday and it was slow. Waitress was nice and ambiance is pretty and peaceful. We had the Gloria Ferrer sparkling wine and it was delish. Also ordered the Lamb pizza. Very little lamb in the pizza and we also ordered the Chicken and shrimp combo. It was ok.

First of all, Petros has great ambience and style and is very suitable for a romantic date or celebrate a wedding anniversary. The lighting is close to perfect, not too dark or light and decor is very tasteful and attractive. I had a Horiataki salad, Moussaka entree, mixed drink and Ice cream dessert for $80 including tip for on point service. I was not wowed by the Moussaka but it was decent. The cucumber(Horiataki)salad was great though. Recommended.

Visited for my birthday dinner on Friday night. The restaurant wasn't busy--maybe 40% of the tables were occupied--yet our drinks took about 45 minutes to arrive. Our server was very apologetic, but the delay didn't make sense given how empty the restaurant was. When my main course arrived, one of the four items on the dish was missing. I had to ask about it, and again, while the server was polite and apologetic, it shouldn't have been overlooked. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, with delays and missed details that made the evening less enjoyable than expected--especially for a special occasion.

Best food in Manhattan Beach. It's authentic Greek you won't find anywhere else. I don't get the mixed reviewers. We come here twice a week.

Four stars for food and drink - with an extra star for the hostesses, for squeezing in an impromptu party of 8 - without reservations - on the patio on at 6 pm on a Sat. night! Hanging out with some fam, we were ambling around, weren't sure when or where we were going to have dinner. The hotel restaurant across the street looked like it could take 8 people - but it looked pretty expensive when we got there (even though they had *awesome* live music) and this place looked more intriguing. It is very popular, just like Nick's along the way - and filled up over the course of the evening. But the hostesses did us a solid and managed to get us two adjacent tables of 4 outside before the rush started. Thank you! I was going to get the watermelon and feta salad, which sounded pretty delicious - but the special of the night was a peach and arugula salad with a fig vinaigrette. Gave it a try and we really enjoyed it. Huge portion so it was enough for all 4 of us at my table to sample. My sweetie got the Avgolemono soup and really liked it. For entrees, one of us got the moussaka, another got the Petros burger, another, the half size of the chicken parm, and I got the Petros Farm Platter as my entree: heirloom tomatoes, feta cheese with oregano, lentils, chard, peppers, and excellent grilled bread. I liked the food and would give it 4 stars. I am not crazy for oregano, and didn't realize it would be on the feta - but otherwise, it was healthy and tasty. My cocktail also had a slightly different taste than I was expecting (it was a watermelon and mint cocktail, but there was something in there that made it taste a bit like a watermelon bloody mary). But the desserts were fantastic! You get a free Greek donuts with a scoop of yummy ice cream FREE with Yelp checkin. 4 stars for the dessert, but 5 for it being free LOL. But we also ordered the Chocolate Bougatsa - and it was AMAZING. Really delicious chocolate, pastry, and chocolate sauce. I was lapping up the chocolate sauce after. Overall, this is a hopping place, with a great patio - free live music from the restaurant across the way, easy parking in the adjacent parking garage, and very nice servers who hooked us up even without reservations. I enjoyed the food even if I'd get a different drink next time. Definitely recommend this place - we had a great time!

I come here a lot with my family because they are my favorite restaurant in Manhattan beach and in LA in general. I wanted to applaud them for their work again The coffee is so incredible. I can tell that they use very high quality, fresh beans in their espresso. It is strong and not overly milky. I ordered the shrimp saganaki. It came out fast. The sauce was very delicious. I also like that the shrimp had no shells. I highly recommend it. Servers were very and attentive nice as always. All of the dishes are amazing. So flavorful and well thought out. My top favorite is the saganaki (crispy cheese with lemon and pita bread) and the shrimp saganaki. I also wanted to add that it is a very nice place to eat for dinner or at night. The lighting is beautiful. It is very romantic and dim.

Amazing service and a great place for large parties! My work reserved a large seating for dinner to have with our vendor and it was a sucess. For appetizers and desserts we requested family style while the entrees were individually ordered. The flatbread with different dips had me coming for more. Loved the kafteri and tzatziki the best! For my entree I ordered the shrimp and chicken souvlaki combo which are skewered meats on a bed of rice pilaf and roasted veggies. It was the perfect dish that had everything I wanted. Their pomegranate mojito was refreshing for a summer drink. For dessert we got doughnuts with ice cream and apple pie with icecream. All very yummy! Would recommend here for amazing Greek food.

Excellent, delicious Greek food, attentive service , elegant ambiance and great value! We have been enjoying the amazing food for about 18 years so this review is long overdue. It's the only restaurant that has remained open for that many years which speaks volumes about how much locals love this restaurant.

First time here and loved it. Located in the heart of downtown MB, Petros is a wonderful choice for dinner. We walked but parking did not appear difficult. Street parking and city lots were available. *Since it is the holiday season, the meters were covered indicating parking was free.* We sat on the outdoor patio (by choice) on a cold day but were kept warm and toasty by the many outdoor heaters. The vibe was relaxed, casual and social. The menu was filled with all types of delicious Greek food options including vegetarian dishes. We opted for the Special Date Salad, the Petros Horiatiki Salad, the Petros Farm Platter and the Super Vegan Platter. Everything arrived promptly, was beautifully plated and in good portion. All of our plates were delicious. My favorite was the Super Vegan Platter. It was flavorful and filling. Service was excellent. Our server, Dimitri, was energetic, fun and attentive. I would definitely return!

Great restaurant. They had a bar area and seating area Appetizers of hummus were tasty and the pits was hot and fresh The sea bass plate was so tasty. We also had true grilled chicken and shrimp and it was a bit dry The rice is like a pilaf and is alright

We came for the first time yesterday for a late lunch/early dinner. We sat outside and the ambiance was so nice and loved how it faced the courtyard. Our waiter was quick and efficient in his service. We started with the bread basket (best olive oil i have had!!!). For entrees we got the grilled salmon and the gyro pita. Both were absolutely delicious!!! 10/10 will be coming back (:

Nice atmosphere, food was okay, not great. Feta and garlic fries was a very disappointing dish. The "feta garlic fries" literally had only few small crumbles of feta, it was safe to say they brought me fries with garlic and no feta. The feta is in the name of the dish and yet there was no more than a tea spoon of feta in the fries. So basically they charged $14-15 for fries only. Service was fast and the staff was nice.

If you're looking for the most authentic ,original ,Greek food in LA ,Petros is the place to be. Im originally from Greece and have been living in LA for the last 13 years and I can reassure you that this place serves Greek mamas food . Petros recipes come straight from his mother from northern Greece . If you like lamb,do your self a favor and try the lamb pasta or the lamb pizza .It will blow your mind .Everything I've tried at this restaurant reminds me of my moms or my grandmas recipe . The service is great and the ambience is superb ,whether you're having a romantic or a family dinner .

First time here, it is definitely a hidden gem! I have driven past this restaurant many times but never saw it as it is hidden in the middle of a little plaza. There's literally nothing bad that i can say about this place. Everything we had was delicious from the lamb chops to the lemonade. We went early Sunday morning and honestly, i was surprised that there wasn't more people. The service was excellent. I know it's an Olive Garden slogan, but they really made me feel like family here. We weren't lacking anything at all during our time here and the recommendations given to us by our server were 10/10. I can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious food and some of their drinks.

My favorite combos in one review!!! Don't forget to add chopped cucumbers and avocado to this refreshing summer salad (thank me later ). Petros fresh feta cheese in this salad mixed with the honey took this dish to the next level. I will be coming back for this specific dish! Service is 100/10 every time. Our server Chloe was as always, so sweet and friendly. She definitely adds the family feel to the dining experience. Ashely was also checking on us and making certain that we were taken care of very well! She is hilarious and brings the energy into this atmosphere as well. Lifetime customers over here.

Very tasty and delicious meal, and excellent service. However, me and two other members of the party that dined with me are now experiencing upset stomach and symptoms of food poisoning. This was the only meal we all shared together, so I can only deduce it must have been from here We all shared the farm plate appetizer and some dips (got different entrees).

We were looking forward to returning to Petros having moved away Manhattan Beach decades ago, and hunting for great Greek food I grew up with in Chicago, where dinner is not only delicious, but also a dining experience. Petros presents itself as a high end option. So I hold a higher level of expectations, which Petros did not live up to. For any high end restaurant, I expect and was disappointed in the following areas: - I asked on the reservation for a quiet table, and was placed in the middle of the restaurant with sunlight bursting thru. Our server who was very nice said they could Not lower a shade because some of the outside diners would be upset. - some of the silverware still had food on it, and a glass was not clean. We moved to another table out of the sun. - dark pants or skirts, but no black napkins Different pricing on website than on menu -No offer to box up or help pack leftovers. For a a high end, this is not acceptable -a pet peeve of mine with all restaurants thee "suggested tip". We are always more than generous, but I personally don't like the misleading tip calculated After tax has been added. Now on to the food. The classic saga Araki was not offered flamed which is part of the ambience of the Greek experience anywhere in Chicago. So we passed. The avgolemeno soup was nothing special. It tasted like chicken rice soup with some lemon juice squeezed in. The feta cheese salad was generous and tasty. Their octopus appetizer had delicious beets, but the octopus was bland. Their signature rack of lamb with feta crust was excellently prepared and the highlight of the meal. Alas, the classic Moussaka was Not, and did not taste particularly fresh. There was unfortunately no Opa! at Petros.

Dined on a busy Wednesday night , loved everything the service was incredible , rocío and Chris took really good care of me and my party I had the chicken Parmesan and my wife had the combo skewers , they were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. We will be back

I am surprised this restaurant got even 3.9 star review. In my opinion, it should not be more than a 2 star. Party of 7 went for dinner on a wednesday night and our experience was not at all happy. We ordered 2 appetizers, shrimp saganaki and fried calamari and both dishes were not at all satisfactory. The amounts were small and didn't taste good. For our main dishes we ordered rack of lamb which was barely acceptable, and the others ordered some other dishes and they were not happy either. Really striking thing was, two people in the party were vegetarians and there was hardly any vegetarian main dish on the menu. They ended up ordering sweet potato fries which were so hard, they left behimd most of them, and a plate of asparagus which was barely acceptable. We asked the waiter for some bread and they brought a compeletely charred bread slices. when we pointed that out, they got another basket of breads but that was burnt too. The third time, they brought a decent toasted bread which we enjoyed. At the end he got a couple of desserts which were very satisfactory. Overall we had a very bad experience there. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, it is surprising the food was so bad. No vegetarian entries (except some vegan platter), in a Greek restaurant, it is completely unacceptable. But what was surprising was the restaurant was pretty full for a wednesday evening, but again every restaurant gets full in Manhattan Beach downtown. People have that kind of money here they don't mind throwing away their money for any kind of food. There are a lot of decent Greek restaurants in Hermosa beach and Redondo beach with lots of delicious food. Next time we will go to one of those places, not to this restaurant ever again.

Had a great lunch at Petro's this past Sunday! Food is delicious. We had lamb chops, Greek salad, chicken, and pasta among the four of us. The potatoes were the star so be sure to order those as a side if they don't come with your dish. Service is great and friendly. Food came out relatively quickly. Prices are high but it is Manhattan Beach so that's to be expected. Petro's remains one of my favorite restaurants in LA...we'll definitely return.

Spectacular!!! The server(Chris) was great gave us good advice on food. We ordered the tri tip kebab the most tender and delicious ever. When I come back in town will go again.

Honestly if you're gonna dine in the Metlox area Nicks is the better choice. But Petros is decent if you're going to switch up cuisines and go for a little of the greek and Mediterranean style. Petros is pretty pricey...much like most finer dining MB spots. Parking is close by and the service is usually decent. Some days it's hard to get a table...so make a reservation.

We had a really disappointing first visit here for dinner last night. Arrival of items after ordering: - Drinks: 20 minutes - Cup of soup: 30 minutes - Bread basket: 50 minutes, we asked four times. -Two entrees and a side: 65 minutes, the super vegan platter was served lukewarm and sent back. After waiting over an hour for our food and to dig into a barely warm dish was just appalling. The server was nice but she could have done a lot more to make up for our poor experience. We won't be returning!

Hidden Gem! Booked reservations here by accident and was surely pleased!!! Service was great, food was great! Surprised it wasn't busier by how good the food was! Zero complaints!!! The lamb flatbread was delicious! I enjoyed the NY Strip, and the Salmon!! Will be returning!!

Still haven't had a full meal here but those Greek Donuts are so addicting and mouth watering I had to have them again. Omggg if you go for anything at all, go for the dessert!

I went here for dinner on a Friday night and we had a reservation but it wasn't overly busy. We had the grilled octopus and I had the shrimp and chicken combo. The octopus was good and my main entree was average. It was fine and a pretty big portion but it should be for $32. Service was good but it was very cold in the restaurant. We were seated near the open patio door and I asked if they could close it but they said no. Not sure why but I asked to move which they were fine with but it was still cold. Overall, it was just ok but probably won't be back.

Delicious food and great service ! Petros based his menu from his mother's receipes. He adds a little California twist and its always delicious! You must dine here for a great meal and sometimes live Greek music.

This place, I want it to be great again but it has gone down hill over the years. We've been coming here since 2011. We met my cousins for dinner. We ordered a bottle of white Greek wine, but it was a "bait and switch" moment. The menu says Assyrtiko, but what arrived was Santorini table wine and the server didn't inform us, until I looked at the bottle. It's boring wine, no mineral taste or citrus. And no apology or reduction in price. Shame. The food: salads and apps were good but not great. The mains were just ok, we had rack of lamb, roasted chicken and chicken parm. Even the rack of lamb was lacking. Roasted chicken was the best dish? (Seriously I can get that anywhere). They should not be making pasta, it's a Greek restaurant. #mushy My suggestion, go back to what made your restaurant great when you first opened. We should have gone to Nick's across the plaza, big mistake.

The food is fine and the service is great, but my pet peeve is when they add the suggested tip amount on the bill, they include the tax in the total amount. My bill was 37 and with taxes it was 40.52. They calculate the tip on the 40.52, not the 37. I am wise and know that it is not appropriate to tip on tax, but people in a rush or unaware might be misguided. Tip fatigue, ugh

I had only been to the now-closed location in El Segundo several years ago. This was my first time here at the MB location despite dining at Nick's and Shade Hotel right next door. It was on my list and finally, I got the opportunity to try this location. This is not the run-of-the-mill Mediteranean/Greek Kebabs, Rice, Hummus with salad on the menu. The Dip Combo is no TJs prepackaged dips, really fresh and pitas served warm. There are some unique entrees here. I had to try the unique Grilled Octopus and Beets which were freshly prepared...tender, delicious and not rubbery or covered in n sauce. You can taste the distinct flavors of both. Shrimp and Chicken Souvlaki was another solid choice. This is a nice place to meet friends, casual date night or a family dinner. There's an openness about this place flowing from indoor dining to outdoor patio dining al fresco. Service was great here too. The view from the patio is great for people watching as well. Will come back! Metered parking in the parking garages and street.

This place is great Rocio helped us out and she was so nice she explained the menu,the food we had was so delicious, not to mention drinks,its a beautiful restaurant and maybe my new hangout,its a prime location and the entire staff is awesome and so friendly and smiling id gove it 10 star if I could..thx

Met up with my kids one afternoon after work. First impressions, very cool and open vibe. It has a very modern but non rustic look about the place. Friendly staff and good food. Try the Rusty Nail if you like whiskey. It's a different take on an old fashioned but delicious with a lemony thrill that softly fades into the back of the palate. I had the ravioli. The plating wasn't very impressive as it was laid out in pairs. I guess more strange than anything , however, really good! I'd get it again. Everything that was ordered was delicious. If you are in this part of Manhattan Beach, try this gem of a place.

My family and I absolutely love Petros Restaurant. We've dined here at least a dozen times, and each experience has been wonderful. The food is always delicious and truly authentic. I ordered the salmon with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes and it was phenomenal. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were creamy. For an app we got the dip combo. I enjoyed trying the variety. The garlic one had to be my favorite. Service was great. Chloe was super helpful with her recommendations and answered all our questions. Restaurant wasn't super busy when we went in so we got extra attention/care! The hours on the website are not correct, so I would call if you're unsure for any reason. Ambiance was beautiful. It was a perfect summer day, so we sat outside. I really liked the rose centerpiece at the table. Everything was clean and presentation was spot on. Overall enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back

Prices are SKY HIGH! Lamb Pasta with approximately a 1/2 cup of lamb ragu $39. Dip Combo which was two teaspoons of four very average dips and some pita slices $23. The terrible Moussaka looked and tasted as if someone ate and threw it up into the plate. And the final slap in the face was the $7 charged for a few cucumber and carrot sticks for the blah-dip. Nice atmosphere and good service, but the prices will make me never return.

Greek inspired restaurant in Manhattan Beach. Came here on a Tuesday evening with a couple of friends and we had made a reservation online in advance. Street parking. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Credit cards accepted. If you check in on Yelp, you get free Greek doughnuts with ice cream. We split the appetizer with 5 different kinds of dips and I liked the cheese one the best. I got the chicken and shrimp souvlaki which came with veggies and rice pilaf. The food was a bit underseasoned and pricey for what we got, but the portion sizes were big enough to have leftovers for the next day.

Petros is definitely a fan favorite in MB. Came for birthday celebration and it was very busy In restaurant. Had a hiccup in our order partly because of how loud it was and my party not making a clear decision. Over all the food was good but too expensive and a bit crazed atmosphere in the full restaurant.

Came here for some drinks and dessert. Evie sat us and made our drinks. She gave us great cocktail recommendations and made us a cocktail called Melissa. It was delicious! Also had the baklava which was good but a little too sweet. Thanks so much for the fantastic service Evie! 10/10 recommend! Looking forward to coming back.

Food is spectacular and service exceeds standards! The ambiance is nice and perfect for a summer day. Tanya was my server and she was amazing!! She is so pleasant and attentive to every customer that comes into petros! She took very good care of us and recommended the best food, drinks, and dessert. The roasted chicken was by far my favorite and so moist with the perfect amount of feta cheese! The salad and calamari were great starters. Drinks were delicious, and the dessert was out of this world. Would come back, especially because of the superb service.

Had dinner here tonight . Sat on the patio overlooking the courtyard. It was kind of cold so our waitress kindly offered to light up a heater for us which was great. Nice cozy ambiance. We had their seasonal peach salad which was tasty. Their fried cheese with pita was good too. My son had the grilled salmon. I had the pork chop. Both delicious. Check in for free donuts! Very yummy fried donut holes with honey and ice cream!
