" Fresh & Yummy " The chocolate here is absolutely fresh and delicious. The truffles made fresh onsite . I definitely need to buy some of those next time . This time I got a milk chocolate bar and caviar chocolate chips , definitely recommend. The service and vibe is on point . Definitely stop by if in the area .

These chocolates are a feast for the eyes and the mouth. Beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious - so many classic and unique flavors. One of my favorite host gifts to bring to my friends and family. In the winter, the hot chocolate is INSANE and the cider donut ice cream is excellent. You walk in and are embraced with the delicious smell of chocolate. The bonbons are beautiful, with a wonderful shine to them and plenty of unique flavors sure to intrigue most taste pallets. The Dubai chocolate bars were simple but tasted incredible. Deliciously gooey with a delicate chocolate shell. Definitely will be back and would recommend this place to anybody wanting good chocolate in the area.

I am obsessed! This place is a gem. I got a bunch of different gift boxes to give to people and they were a hit. Very excited to come back and I’m also excited for the second location to open. They taste as good as they look, as they each have their own individual textures and fillings. The flavors are subtle but spot on and instantly identifiable without being overwhelming. They’re packaged very securely in nice looking boxes which I appreciate as these will become a staple any time I’m making a gift basket for someone. Thank you to the awesome lady who created these!

This shop was a surprise fine while waiting in line for a lobster roll. The chocolates are incredible here. The owner is super nice and takes a lot of pride in his product. Very clean shop. This is the type of chocolate you savor on your tongue for an incredible experience. This was one of my favorite places we went to in Boston!!!

A gem of a find and well worth the little detour to get to its quiet doors! A discreet boutique right in the middle of a rapidly developing corner of town, with the kind of rare artisanal selection and personalized care you’d expect in Paris, Geneva, Singapore—you’ll want to buy your gift boxes and special bars right here. The owner, a lovely Bulgarian patisserie chef, greets and guides you through the freshly-made assortment (gorgeous combinations in both flavor and appearance), and offers a small ice pack to keep your purchase chilled in case you’re going to be in the heat for over 20 minutes. Such service and attention to detail. In short: a jewel and a gift to Boston.

I cannot recommend Petrova Chocolates (and Betty) enough. Kind & welcoming experience, DELICIOUS & gorgeous chocolates, that were unique flavour combinations. I am a massive foodie, and the flavour combinations were so creative. It's not close to where I stay in Boston, but I will make the trip every time! The real reason I am writing this review, though, is that we also did a chocolate making class that was beyond phenomenal. I found Petrova because I wanted to do some cooking classes with my nephew (13) as a birthday present. I looked everywhere for a class, and this was one of the only ones. I am so glad it was because it was so unique and special. It was just me and my nephew. We learned so much, and had so much fun. We made 32 Bon Bons, and the flavours were chosen after Stella asked us our favourite flavours. We used all her (very cool) equipment, and we got to do everything ourselves. Even in the time we were waiting for the chocolate to cool, she had other things for us to do. It was an amazing bonding experience we will never forget. For what it's worth, while I was in Boston, I did do some other savoury cooking classes, and this chocolate class was not only so much better, but was so much more hands on, and just better quality...for the same cost. Just awesome. Make the trip. Or if you are local, LUCKY YOU!

WOW! I discovered this chocolate shop at Boston Snowport and I’m obsessed. Every piece was delicious, high-quality, and absolutely addictive. If you love chocolate, don’t miss this place!

Hidden gem in east Boston. Its a small shop with a lovely variety of really unique chocolate truffles/bonbons. I tried the carrot cake and the pistachio, both I'd recommend. Sometimes when it comes to truffles, you'd expect artificial flavors -- that is absolutely not the case here! The pistachio was nutty and truly had the flavor of salted pistachios, which is my family-favorite nut... so I'm pretty pretentious about my pistachios. This chocolate was probably the best and most well-done pistachio sweet I've ever tried. The carrot cake took the flavors in a carrot cake, but the flavors were distinct and clean. Both were fun and also beautifully presented. Each truffle was a little over $3. You can buy individually, pick a selection for a box set for gifts, and there are some chocolate bars too. The lady who helped me was nice & has a smart, relaxing presence. I assume she was the owner/chocolatier. If you're in the area during open hours, definitely make a visit. I'd recommend looking up their hours, I've passed by multiple times and it's usually closed in terms of my own schedule. Or just make it a destination to try over the weekend. Awesome for gifts. And there's street parking.

The owner views chocolate as a work of art. Bought some chocolate bars and the impressed imagines on them were highly creative and interesting to look at. The chocolate was good but hard to justify price and the surrounding area is inhabited by low income workers who a large percentage are undocumented who are struggling financially to save to send money home, afford high rents and food prices. Might be better in Back bay, seaport or south end or a wealthy suburb like Wellesley, Newton, Brookline or Lexington.... hope it works but a $14 a bar locals can get a decent Cadburys bar for $2.50 at Market basket....might be back by wealthy spouse or family so hope it works for her as we need more shops like this

Cute and intimate boutique chocolate shop. When you walk into Petrova, you are greeted by the women that owns and runs the shop. She offers chocolates & ice cream. Both are delicious. She mixes and matches flavors I've either never heard of, or flavors I would have never thought of mixing. Not only the chocolates are beautifully decorated but there is always something that intrigues me and I've tried things there, that I've never tried before anywhere else. The owner always tells you a little story and explains you about the different ingredients when you ask. The only problem with Petrova is that once you've been once, you'll always come back for more!

This is the most amazing chocolate I have ever had in my life. Each truffle explodes with intense flavor. The flavors are unique and varied as well. The chocolates are stunning to look at, with beautiful colors and designs. Try the miso for a unique umami, or the tonka bean. The truffles also come in such a cute box which is perfect for gifting.
