"It’s been a long week, and you want Mexican food. But you also have to go to a friend’s birthday dance party later and you’re not about to roll in with a cheese enchilada working its way south. Petty Cash has been around for a few years now and has become one of Beverly Grove’s most dependable spots for a crowd-pleasing, as-light-as-you-need-it-to-be dinner. The atmosphere always feels like a party (that you want to be at), good luck trying to have only one of their spicy margaritas, and the cauliflower nachos are one of the better meatless dishes in Los Angeles." - brant cox
"The Beverly Grove spot has reopened for both dine-in and takeout with a large outdoor sidewalk patio going along Beverly Blvd. They have a slightly revised food menu featuring tacos and bar snacks, but don’t worry, their famous rainbow cauliflower nachos with poblano cream and kale is still available. Plus, all their margaritas are available to go as well." - brant cox
"It’s unclear at this point whether this person wants to date you, work for your company, or both. Petty Cash is the perfect place to find out the answer. The modern taqueria on Beverly doesn’t have the best Mexican food in town, but its colorful space and party-ready atmosphere make it an ideal place to go when you aren’t totally sure why the other person is even here. Focus on the ceviches, the spicy margarita, and their cauliflower nachos." - brant cox, brett keating
"“Amy!! It’s Alyssa. What’s up? Let’s get margs.” You never really cared for your toxic old co-worker, but she won’t stop DMing you and honestly, you could use a margarita. Go to Petty Cash and get it over with. This modern Mexican spot by the Grove is central to just about everything and has the kind of lively space that’s fun even when you’re with people you don’t necessarily like. Concentrate on the ceviches, the cauliflower nachos, and the hibiscus margaritas." - brant cox
"If you’re one of those people who can’t handle the notion of $6 tacos, we have bad news for you - Petty Cash’s tacos are still $6. But they’re also pretty damn delicious, and Petty Cash as a whole continues to be one of the more reliable weeknight dinner spots in Beverly Grove. The colorful, graffiti-covered walls keep the upscale-ish space fun and that means you can use it for everything from a first date to a coworkers outing where somebody has to come back in the morning for their car. Also, those cauliflower nachos. Get them." - jess basser sanders, brant cox
