Classic NOLA cocktail bar with courtyard, specializing in Sazeracs

"The Ramos Gin Fizz is heavenly to sip but hellish to make, and this cozy cocktail bar inside the Celestine Hotel meets the demand by using a blender; of the only two places Hannah recommends for the drink, “Peychaud’s is my favorite one,” he says, adding that he can recommend it because “ordering one doesn't piss them off.”" - Wayne Curtis

"Peychaud’s is from the Cure Co. team — whose portfolio includes Cure, Cane & Table, and Vals. Located in the Hotel Maison de Ville, it’s all drinks here; an extensive menu of New Orleans cocktails, like the sazerac, Vieux Carre, and Ramos gin fizz, are done meticulously and with top-notch ingredients. Smart to keep things straightforward when there’s a courtyard like Peychaud’s — it’s a classic French Quarter stunner." - Missy Frederick

"Another establishment of the LeBlanc + Smith group, known for its vibrant atmosphere and proximity to the site of the recent tragedy." - Clair Lorell

"Ojen is one of New Orleans’s favorite spirits that you probably haven’t heard of. It’s an anise-based liqueur invented near the small town of Ojén, Spain, that landed locally in the 1940s at Brennan’s, eventually becoming a Carnival favorite. It fell out of favor before it was resurrected in 2016 by the Sazerac Company. Sweeter and less alcoholic than absinthe, it’s best enjoyed as a frappé, served over ice with a few dashes of Peychaud’s bitters. Find this drink at Peychaud’s in the Celestine Hotel." - Eater Staff, Clair Lorell
